I really struggle with getting a lead magnet out there before I'm 100% perfectly happy with it - it's just not in my nature! I everything to work how I want it to and don't want it to look/feel crappy and rushed, but I do want it to actually get done. Any advice? I seem to be struggling to talk confidently about my service when I need to fill a space. Even though I have fab feedback from clients and know how I can help. What the fuck is that all about? I have/had a client who finished their month of coaching, said they are going to sign back up, sent their check in the next day (by this point they were no longer on a program). Never mentioned the £ so when I brought it up they ignored, sent a chaser next day, they replied saying they would send the next day and they had "personal" things going on.No Money sent and this was now Wednesday, I replied Thursday saying I hope everything was ok and didn;t mention the money so they didn't think thats all I care about as its not. Come today (Friday) I chased again as I have a new client who is looking for the slot this other client has on Saturday. Do I chase again or send a message advising that I have had to give their slot to someone else and if they want to continue to message me on Instagram and then remove them from Trainerize? What do you think of AI and the impact it may have on the industry in the future? Favourite pancake topping? I've got plenty of ideas for client resources which I think are specific to my demographic and solve common problems, but how do you know where to draw the line so it's not overwhelming and i'm not throwing the kitchen sink at them? What are the top things to have in place if you want to start and push online coaching in the near future. At a stage where I am full for in person and want to push Online soon.

How do you, as a fitness coach, handle your business during the pandemic? How advantageous is it for business owners to adapt and thrive during those challenging times? In this episode of the Healthcare Hacks and Connections Podcast, our host Nate Navas has invited Gunther Klaus, a former CrossFit coach, and professional personal trainer for nearly a decade. For the first six years, Gunther worked as both an in-person trainer and a CrossFit coach, and when the pandemic struck, he transitioned to fully remote coaching online. His expertise has always been in using a root-cause approach to problem-solving, from recurring injuries to increasing fitness levels, and working smarter to go harder. He considers fitness to be a training ground for self-development that extends far beyond the physical vessel. In this episode, Gunther shares his experience of switching to fully remote training due to gyms and workout spaces being closed. He also talks about the mindset shift he and his friends had during the pandemic, viewing it as an opportunity rather than a setback. The episode is geared towards those considering remote training with clients and provides insights that can be useful in implementing it in their practice. Ultimately, the conversation is about how to adapt and thrive in uncertain times. They will touch on such topics as:Pivoting to remote coaching during the pandemic, Gunther's thoughts on when the pandemic happened, and the challenges in his business and technology such as utilizing the Trainerize app.The benefits of remote coaching versus in-person coaching, creating an exercise library for clients and getting back to in-person coaching for the first time in three years. What he's currently doing with his marketing and content creation: “Positioning yourself as an expert in biomechanics and empowering people to understand why they are doing what they do is a peek behind the curtain.”Holotropic breathwork and its benefits, and how this has helped him as a business owner: “Breathwork is grounding and helps us feel more confident, and daily breathwork must be a common daily practice.”The distinction between stress and the new kind of stress experienced during the pandemic, as well as why walking is so beneficial in overcoming this, and how to get back on track and narrowly focused.Moving on to assisting other coaches in doing what he does, such as retention and sales, and why sales are uncomfortable and how to overcome them: "Sales are uncomfortable, sticky, and forceful, but it is actually a really easy process.” Hack: There's a grander purpose as to why I'm kind of taking on this little chunk of my work in person. And it's to replicate a process, to rebuild a system, and to teach others. - Gunther Klaus P.S. Growing up, Erin had always been involved in competitive sports and coaching, but it wasn't until she began studying health and wellness that she truly understood how important it is to live an active life. Fresh out of school she always had a full time job and also ran Fitness Bootcamps on the side. During this time, Erin became her heaviest and was not happy with the way she looked in anything but she didn't let that stop her from sharing her passion. You might be thinking that it's expensive to run a business or you need a bunch of capital to pay for startup fees, BUT the nice thing about starting up a business like online fitness coaching is that you are not selling a physical product, you are selling information. Because of this fact, there really aren't that many startup fees or expenses when you first start and if you are smart you can start your business for ZERO dollars. The reason why I know this is because I did this EXACT thing back in 2018 when I started my fitness coaching business. There are all of these “premium” software out there that cut into your bottom line from the beginning and you don't need them to. For example, Instagram can replace your website, which will save you $20-$50 per month. Other social media platforms like YouTube, Facebook, and Tik Tok are completely free to create your account, and your content there will be your marketing material. Your application page can just be a simple google form or the FREE version of Typeform. You'll then need to build out a workout and meal plan which we recommend Trainerize to all of our students and this one will cost you a little bit of money, around $50-$250 depending on what package you choose. BUT, you don't have to start there. When I started I didn't know Trainerize was a thing so I used Google Drive. Google Drive works but as you sign more and more clients it starts to get messy quickly, so go ahead and use this for your first 10 to 15 clients and then once you have revenue from the business upgrade to Trainerize asap.

I have gone through almost every single software under the sun for fitness coaching and here are the four that I think are the most important. The first one is an application page. This can be as simple as Google Forms, Typeform, and Survey Monkey. By using these application pages you can funnel people through your socials and help boost your lead generation. The second software is Calendly. Calendly is great it's a software that allows you to sync it to your already existing calendar and it checks for when you are free. Basically think of it as an online secretary that allows people to book meetings with you when you are actually free. And then it adds the meeting to your calendar and there's all at once! Super efficient. The third app that you need to get is Trainerize. Trainerize is an application that allows you to easily track all your client's stats and their progress. Now I know you can use Google Drive, I did this for a period of time too, but over time as your client pool grows and you get more people on your team Google Drive will quickly get unorganized. So I recommend the first software you get that costs you money to be trainerize.

PT Business Transformation Program open to sign up! Click here to find out more! Questions cover this week; I'm using Trainerize now and you can add a lot into clients calendars. How in depth do we need to go for scheduling things like progress photos, and measurements What cocktail should I go for while I'm by the pool? How would you balance working another job alongside being a PT to avoid burnout? Have a good time at level up and try not to miss me having a breakdown next week! In terms of online marketing is it better to go all in social media or email marketing? or allocate even time to each? "I don't like educating clients about calories anymore as I don't think it works. No matter what I do they all still believe they're eating between 1200-1400 calories a day. I think I'm going to do a new video series on BMR and under reporting calories to see if that helps. Is there anything else I can do as I'm at the point where I don't feel there's anything else I can do to help them." I feel like I have so many things I want to do with my business but sometimes feel like I'll never do it because I'm so limited with my time. I feel like I could do more if I put more time and worked more hours but this then conflicts with my value of family and I try to be really strict with making sure I have my 1 and a half days off but some times it's so hard. How can I find a balance or deal with my own impatience? OR is it a matter of learning to focus harder in the time I do have and just sucking it up? Do you think that increased automation, technology etc is freeing up time or making us busier? Currently work full time at a health club while doing personal training both online and in person in my own time. When do you know it's the right time to drop some days or make the full jump and go all in? Any tips on how to go about it? What's the best way to still get the personal element whilst running group personal training sessions? What are your thoughts on marketing coaching as a "90 day programme" to get initial buy in (even though once they are in, it will be longer than 90 days) vs marketing coaching for what it is and not attaching time scales to things as everyone is gonna be different? What would your 3 weekly non negotiables be if you were still PTing in a commercial gym (Question for both) what added extras as services can I give my clients? Any question please give us a shout @ admin@ptmentoracademy.com

In this episode, Tim and Randy will talk about the recent shutdown of businesses all over the US, including gyms, and how scary a time it is for gym owners. They have personally been affected and their clients have been affected too, which means they won’t be in business until it’s announced that businesses can re-open. Tim predicts that 25% of gyms will not make it out of the shutdown because right now it all boils down to whether gym owners will be able to adapt and sustain their businesses. The government has promised financial assistance to business owners but that always takes too long, so it’s really not offering much hope. In the Built to Grow spirit of helping gym owners win, Tim and Randy will share some of the things themselves and their clients are doing to sustain their gyms so they can help you adapt with your gym. Molly Blomeley is a fitness and nutrition coach that specializes in helping people feel comfortable and confident with their fitness and nutrition goals. After an autoimmune disease diagnosis herself she began turning her attention towards the nutrition side of fighting her disease. She has been able to help countless patients fight back from a place of pain and frustration to a place where they can feel whole again. She is a mother of two teenagers and one adorable cat. She has built her legacy with my girls and both have a role in her multiple businesses. TAKEAWAYS:Molly's superpower in her business is resilience. She is constantly being hit from every corner and has still been able to recover and come back even better than ever. Being a single mom, she has no choice but to succeed. From very early on Molly chose to surround herself with phenomenal people. It was a conscious choice on her part to make sure that excellence was around her at all times.Something that keeps Molly moving is continually moving. If she's caught up in an obstacle that isn't making sense, or a topic that is tripping her up, she'll switch gears and work on something else. She finds that when she moves away from that frustration, and then comes back to it after a period of time, when she comes back to it, everything is much clearer and she's able to work on it.While Molly views her brick and mortar and her online business very differently, there are distinct similarities between the three, it's just a different avenue for her to help and serve her clients. Something that she loves is the in-person connection that she has with her brick and mortar and how she can actually touch and talk to her clients face to face. And that has been something she has really enjoyed and found to be very impactful about the Legacy Mastermind, the in-person retreats. When you can actually sit and talk to someone who is similarly ambitious as you are, the connection is much deeper and the friendships last beyond the individual programs.Molly's legacy is showing her daughters that they can literally do anything they want to do. Money, excuses, and fear aren't good enough reasons to not pursue you dreams.RESOURCES:Check out the blog post that goes along with this episode: www.allisonhardy.com/blog1/episode154Learn more about Molly through her website: www.mollyblomeleyfitness.comFollow Molly on Instagram: www.instagram.com/molly_blomeleyFollow Molly on Facebook: www.facebook.com/mollyblomeleyfitnessIf you want 2020 to be the year where it all changes for you and your family, and you are FINALLY ready to create a 6-figure business on your terms, then the Legacy Mastermind is absolutely for you!
