On today's episode, Mario Kalpou talks about surviving in the wild and his past experiencesMario Kalpou's lifelong fascination with nature's bounty took root at a young age. Australian born, comfortable in both the field and kitchen, Kalpou soon set on a path to pursue his innate love of cooking working alongside prominent chefs and eventually opening and operating several highly acclaimed restaurants most notably, The Old Library, garnering various awards such as Zagat 3 Hats and 2nd place Belle Awards. He deepened his love of harvesting from the wild and honed his already advanced outdoor skills when he traded the metropolitan restaurant world for rural New Zealand. Kalpou opened an extreme-adventure lodge and became a professional guide for overseas clients. During this time, he observed not only how being immersed in the outdoors positively affected each client but a realization that being connected to the source of free range, wild food echoed the interest of his chefs and patrons in the restaurant world. Ariel Helwani personifies A Fighter's Mindset and is huge in the world of MMA—but not for putting on gloves. It's for his use of microphone and keyboard. The Spaniard calls him THE GUY in MMA Reporting, as do his eight straight World MMA Awards as Journalist of the Year. He never aims to be the story, but you'll like hearing it: He grows up in Montreal imitating Marv Albert, shrewdly gains gigs involving the Olympics and HBO, and positions himself to be a leading voice in a sport years before it goes mainstream. Nothing stops him—not a broken ankle, not an unusable studio phone, not dismissal from Fox News, and not the yanking of his press badge by the UFC. So listen in on Fighter interviewing Fighter.

Episode 25 really makes the guys rethink the relatively free reign they've been giving Sir Nigel Longstock over MasterTweet Theatre, as things get weirder than ever between the CME and the world's leading theatricalist. That awkwardness notwithstanding, Ben and Chad dispense with Stephan Bonnar's positive test for steroids in the wake of UFC 153 and wonder what (if anything) can be done to clean up this sport. With UFC: Macau pending this weekend and the inaugural World Series of Fighting card in the books from last weekend, they look ahead to one more “fun fight” and analyze the slew of mismatches we've only just seen. Chad fights through the common cold and Ben finally comes clean about what his wife said to Jon Jones at last year's World MMA Awards. All that, plus Tips for the Well-Rounded Fight Fan and Just Sayin' Stuff.

So this week the Co-Main Event Podcast put five rounds in the books in just shy of one hour, four minutes. Kind of makes you wonder why Ben and Chad can't typically complete three rounds in under 1:15, huh? In any case, episode 24 sees your dudes take on the big issues, like whether or not there will be an actual “series” in the World Series of Fighting, the measure of Gina Carano's true fighting spirit and if it's possible to mobilize the CME voting bloc in order to win Ben the coveted “Best MMA Journalist” prize at this year's World MMA Awards. Plus, Chad details the plot of a speculative novel he'd like to write about Tank Abbott while Ben opens up about his wish to chronicle the life of Wanderlei Silva. Did we mention the championship rounds? Oh yeah, this one is going five, brother. You know, just so there is no confusion in the future.
