To hear more, visit zeteo.comLast week, US President Donald Trump signed an executive order freezing US aid to South Africa, saying that their new land ownership law – meant to address the legacy of apartheid – “blatantly discriminates against ethnic minority Afrikaners.” This came just days after Elon Musk railed against the law on Twitter, calling it “openly racist.”In this interview, South Africa's Ambassador to the US Ebrahim Rasool sits down with Mehdi to discuss the new law, as well as Trump and Musk's decision to “interfere” with South Africa's internal politics.“Even his [Musk's] own supporters back home are reeling under the impact of what has been occasioned,” Rasool tells Mehdi. “They know that there is no land confiscation. They know that 30 years later, this is the most benign land reform that has come in. When asked to depict the Pope, Vikings, and America's founding fathers, Gemini refused to depict them as white. Gemini responded with misinformation when asked about this misrepresentation, claiming that it “aimed to provide a more accurate and inclusive representation of the historical context.” To its credit, Google took the image creation feature of Gemini offline, saying it was not “working as intended.” And, to be fair, tech firms often ship new products aware that there are programming bugs.But Gemini remains up and running and is a source of misinformation and, arguably, “hate speech.”

She even urged the FBI to investigate them.Obviously, the FBI can't legally investigate an allegation for which there is zero evidence. And to be clear, Pelosi offered zero evidence.Is it possible that Russian interests have funded pro-Palestine activists? Sure, just like it's possible that Russian interests have funded Nancy Pelosi. But there's no evidence. And it's a dangerous abuse of power for a politician to call for the FBI to investigate her critics based on nothing but wild accusations.What was Pelosi thinking? You might say she just lost her cool. But it's noticeable that the Democrats made Russia the new bogeyman starting in 2016, during the election campaign of Donald Trump.Democrats made various accusations of Trump's collusion with Russia. All turned out to be false and misleading. They suggested a bank in Russia had wired money to the Trump campaign. They claimed Trump's campaign was working with the Russians on the release of embarrassing emails.But two Justice Department investigations, one by Robert Mueller and the other by John Durham, concluded that there was no illegal collusion. Durham believed the FBI should never have begun an investigation of Trump and Russia in the first place.After this, Democrats used Russia constantly to dismiss issues they didn't want to deal with. After the New York Post published its mid-October 2020 article about Hunter Biden's laptop, which revealed a massive influence-peddling scheme involving the whole family, dozens of former CIA and intelligence officials said it had “all the markings of a Russian information operation, which then-presidential candidate Joe Biden referred to in a debate with Trump in 2020.Attacking one's opponents as being backed by Putin and aligned with Russia dates back even to earlier in 2015 and 2016. Back then, opponents of the Brexit referendum in the UK claimed that supporters of Brexit were pro-Putin.Today, the accusation is everywhere. Government-funded think tanks in North America and Europe accuse critics of the West's support for Ukraine in its war against Russia of being Russian agents. And a few days ago, Correctiv, an influential “anti-disinformation” website in Germany, which both the German government and George Soros's foundation finance, falsely suggested that protesting German farmers are pro-Putin or supported by Putin.There is a good psychological reason for Democrats to focus on Russia.

He'll plead guilty to two tax misdemeanors and avoid jail time. The crime? Writing off escorts and a sex club membership as “business expenses.“New documents suggest Hunter — and his dad, “the big guy” — got off easy.Senator Chuck Grassley on Thursday released the infamous “FD-1023” form. In it, an FBI whistleblower alleges the founder of Burisma, the Ukrainian natural gas company, paid a $5 million bribe both to then-Vice President Biden and his son Hunter, so that the former would fire a Ukrainian prosecutor who was pursuing Burisma.Nothing is proven at this point. In 2018, then-Vice President Biden admitted to pressuring Ukraine's President to fire the prosecutor. But that decision was, according to Biden, based on a US assessment that the prosecutor was corrupt. Of course, both things could be true. It could be that all sides were corrupt, and that Joe Biden used his inside knowledge to get his family a piece of the action. According to the FBI whistleblower, Burisma's CEO said, "It cost 5 (million) to pay one Biden, and 5 (million) to another Biden," to fire the prosecutor investigating his company. "Don't worry Hunter will take care of all of those issues through his dad." Although Hunter "was stupid, and his dog was smarter."According to two IRS whistleblowers — different individuals from the FBI whistleblower — the government's investigation into the Bidens was plagued by medding, obstruction and special treatment. The result is not just losing a “slam dunk” felony case against a wayward First Son, but the sidelining of crucial evidence in a broader Biden Family influence-peddling case.

As a passionate advocate of free speech and viewpoint diversity, I agreed that it would be appropriate to do so.My latest podcast guest is Kristen Waggoner, chief executive officer and general counsel of Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), which describes itself as “one of the leading Christian law firms committed to protecting religious freedom, free speech, marriage and family, parental rights, and the sanctity of life.” ADF's opposition to same-sex marriage, transgender rights, and abortion rights has made it a reviled organization on the legal left.Although Kristen isn't popular among progressives, there's no disputing that she is an influential and newsworthy attorney. For better or worse, ADF has won 15 cases in the U.S. Supreme Court, and three of them were argued personally by Waggoner—including 303 Creative v. Elenis, one of the biggest cases of the just-completed Term. Writing for the six conservatives, Justice Gorsuch held that the First Amendment protects Kristen's client, website designer Lorie Smith, from being required under Colorado's public-accommodations law to make websites for same-sex weddings, which she opposes on religious grounds.In our interview, I posed tough but respectful questions to Kristen about the mission and legal work of ADF, including its designation as a “hate group” by the Southern Poverty Law Center; her recent win in 303 Creative, including an allegation that ADF fabricated one piece of evidence (the “Stewart and Mike” controversy); the next major goal of the conservative legal movement, in the wake of wins like 303 Creative and Dobbs; and her views on “legislating morality” or enshrining Christian views into law (where her comments might surprise you).
