This week our host Brandi Starr is joined by Lillian Pierson, a trailblazer in AI-driven growth and strategic marketing.  Meet Lillian Pierson, a global authority on leveraging AI for business success. With over a decade of experience, she has not only empowered 10% of the Fortune 100 companies but also served as a fractional CMO for high-growth tech brands. As the author of "The Data & AI Imperative," Lillian's expertise has been a guiding light for numerous startups aiming to scale with data-driven strategies.  In this episode of Revenue Rehab, Brandi and Lillian dive deep into the world of AI agents and their role in revolutionizing marketing efficiency. Lillian shares insights on harnessing data and AI to drive marketing-led growth, while also exploring the nuances of identifying AI use cases to maximize business impact. Join them in unraveling the future of AI in marketing and uncover practical steps for revenue leaders to embrace these transformative technologies.  Bullet Points of Key Topics + Chapter Markers:   Topic #1 The Proliferation of AI Experts [00:01:59] "A lot of people are branding themselves as AI experts... I've been working in the data analytics, data science, AI space for over a decade... after ChatGPT... everyone and their mother comes and like the whole Industry just changed overnight, and there's like a million AI experts," Lillian Pierson remarks. This reflects the saturation of self-proclaimed expertise in AI without the depth of experience or understanding required.   Topic #2 The Role of AI Agents in Marketing Efficiency [00:06:15] "Almost every revenue leader is looking for more efficient ways to grow their business... I can speak on how to use data and analytics and AI... for marketing-led growth in a more efficient way. So less basically less man hours, less faster, higher-quality outputs sort of thing," Lillian explains. She introduces the concept of AI agents as tools for enhancing marketing operations and reducing the workload on human resources.  Topic #3 Embracing Multi-Agent AI Systems [00:08:19] "Multi AI agent systems... where the rubber hits the road. I'm running them in my business... I started searching and within... I found this solution within 10 minutes," Lillian shares. She highlights the power and potential of multi-agent AI systems to transform business processes, using her personal implementation as a case study to showcase their impact on efficiency and innovation in marketing strategies.   What's One Thing You Can Do Today  Lillian's ‘One Thing' is to explore the possibilities of AI tools for various use cases within your business. “Go to future tools, and it basically will have all the AI tools you can imagine for all the different use cases, and start exploring and looking what's in there, and if they've got tools in there that can support your use case, and then just do some very quick and lean iterative testing to see if this might be something you could start adopting now.” This approach allows you to discover early-moving AI solutions that are not heavily hyped and ensure they align with your business objectives.  Buzzword Banishment  Lillian's Buzzword to Banish is the phrase 'AI expert.' She wants to banish this term because she feels it is overused and often misrepresents the level of expertise individuals have, especially following the release of ChatGPT version 4. Many people claim to be AI experts after minimal experience, which diminishes the credibility of those who have dedicated significant time and effort to understanding and applying AI technologies.  Links:  LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/lillianpierson/  X: https://x.com/strategy_gal  Podcast: https://www.youtube.com/@strategy_gal   Subscribe, listen, and rate/review Revenue Rehab Podcast on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts , Amazon Music, or iHeart Radio and find more episodes on our website RevenueRehab.live

We leave the conversation more wary of the machines than ever - less because we think hyper-intelligent machines are just around the corner, and more because Ladish paints a visceral picture of the cage we're building ourself into. Revolutionary AI Whitepaper Validated by New Neuroscience Breakthrough by Denise Holt The Future of AI is Shared, Distributed, and Multi-Scale This may seem too good to be true, but it's not. In fact, it's happening right now. It's called Active Inference AI, based on the Free Energy Principle (FEP). In December 2022, VERSES AI set forth a sweeping vision for artificial intelligence based on a distributed, collective real-time knowledge graph, comprised of Intelligent Agents operating on the physics of intelligence itself. In their whitepaper, titled “Designing Ecosystems of Intelligence from First Principles,” they propose a profound departure from standard notions of AI as a monolithic system. Authored by Chief Scientist Dr. Karl Friston and the VERSES AI research team, the paper puts forth the concept of “shared intelligence”. This represents intelligence as emerging from interactions between diverse, distributed nodes as Intelligent Agents, in which each contributes localized knowledge and unique perspectives. AI – The Maker vs. The Operator  |  LLMs vs. Active Inference AI   #futureofai #artificialintelligence by Denise Holt VERSES AI is a cognitive computing company that has overcome the limitations of machine learning AI, by building a new kind of artificial intelligence based on a real-time world model described as:   AI that grows in knowledge, perception and awareness through the evolving real-time data produced by all things, at all times, throughout our living, breathing, and ever-changing world.”   This is Active Inference AI, an entirely new type of networked AI that is designed for Real-Time Operations, including things like managing the daily operations of a hospital, an airport, global supply chains, an entire smart city, global drone and autonomous vehicle traffic, and other real-world activities. This introduces a new era of artificial intelligence which enables us to streamline, optimize and automate every mission-critical, real-life function that we interact with every day.   The days of training AI on big data with probabilistic results will give way to an interconnected “Internet of Everything” that deploys Active Inference AI throughout the network; inherently secure and accurate because it takes any point of real-time data and makes it smart through an empowered ecosystem of interconnected AI Apps called Intelligent Agents. This networked system operates in tandem with humans, growing its intelligence in sync with humans and the world.   ______________________   Special thanks to Dan Mapes, President and Co-Founder, VERSES AI and Director of The Spatial Web Foundation. Social safety nets have proven to be especially vital during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. But in some cases, the underlying legacy IT infrastructure supporting the modern delivery of those services has failed them. Artificial intelligence and machine learning, however, have played an increasingly important role in helping agencies adapt to the challenges of the pandemic — particularly with volume and scale. “Volume is a significant problem for all of the social safety net programs. They are seeing record numbers of applications and because the systems that support those programs are typically older legacy systems — some of them as old as 40 years old — they can't scale to meet that demand,” Winkler says. On top of that, the CARES Act — which provided relief in response to the coronavirus — created some new programs that the inflexible legacy systems could not readily incorporate. “The real issue is how does technology — and how will agencies — continue to serve this high volume of clients as we begin to reopen and recover?” she says in the podcast. And how YOU can position yourself to get in early, working for or with robotics makers (for example by visiting your local robotics company...) Also discussed in this episode: "RaAS" - Robotics as a Service, "Intelligent Agents" - autonomous decision makers, We will continue this discussion in next week's episode, talking about the 5 biggest problems to come (human demand) and the most likely (profitable) future industries. It’s been nearly three years since I had the pleasure of speaking with Dennis Mortensen, founder and CEO of X.ai — the service behind Amy and Andrew - autonomous AI assistants who schedule meetings. Since three years in tech is like 20 years in real life, and with smart/digital assistants being at the top of many hot technology lists, I wanted to get Dennis’ perspective on how things have changed since we last spoke and how he sees the intelligent agent landscape shaping up.

In this episode, I'm joined by Jason Holmberg, Executive Director and Director of Engineering at WildMe. Wildme’s Wildbook and Whaleshark.org are both open source computer vision based conservation projects, that have been compared to a facebook for wildlife. Jason kicks us off with the interesting story of how Wildbook came to be, and the eventual expansion of the project from a focus on whale sharks to include Giant Manta Rays, Humpback Whales, Zebras and Giraffes. Jason and I explore the evolution of these projects’ use of computer vision and deep learning, the unique characteristics of the models they’re building, and how they’re ultimately enabling a new kind of citizen science. Finally, we take a look at a cool new “intelligent agent” project that Jason is working on, which mines YouTube for wildlife sightings and automatically engages with the relevant individuals and scientists on Wildbook’s behalf. The beauty of a platform like eBay is that you can set a price that you're willing to spend and let eBay do the bidding long after you've left the site. What if, in similar fashion, your washing machine could turn on and serve up clean clothes once it had found the cheapest rate and time of day by autonomously communicating with local electricity providers? In this episode, we discuss multi-agent intelligent systems with Computer Scientists Dr. Mehdi Dastani, who provides a perspective on how this emerging dynamic technology is changing the landscape of how and how companies and governments operate, allowing for greater systemic change that might not be possible otherwise.
