I'm doing it. It's time to get a little controversial. One of my favourite books, "Oversubscribed" by Daniel Priestly, emphasises the importance of not following the pack, but instead standing by your values, even if it means standing out from the crowd. In this episode, I want to share a rather controversial opinion of mine that often goes against what many other Social Media Trainers and Coaches believe - specifically in the MLM, Network Marketing and Party Plan Direct Selling Industry. I'm passionate about this industry, and also passionately believe there's a right way to grow your business, especially on Social Media. You see, an old friend of mine contacted me recently with an unsolicited message on Facebook about a business opportunity. When her name popped up, I smiled, thinking she was reaching out with genuine care and an interest in reconnecting… Only to find out she was promoting her new business opportunity with a rather generic message, sent to another hundred others too. This experience left a bad taste in my mouth. Social Media wants us to be exactly that - social. BUT with the rise of businesses on platforms such as Facebook, there has also been a spotlight on some bad (antisocial!) behaviours by a few, affecting many. And you know what? Facebook has even clamped down on the Direct Selling industry due to these behaviours - ouch! So, I want to take a moment to talk about how to best behave on Social Media; in a way that will build meaningful and lasting relationships, actually grow your business and avoid getting your Personal Profile (and all the pictures, memories and everything important that goes along with it!) flagged by Facebook. Let's talk all things Personal Profiles; what's okay, what you should do, and what you absolutely shouldn't. I'll discuss practices taught by others in my field and tell you what I won't stand for. In short, I believe in using Personal Profiles correctly to benefit your business growth. So, if that's something you want for your business, this is the episode for you. Let's dive in! We'll be talking about: ➡ [0:00] Introduction ➡ [5:34] Profile vs Page vs Groups, what's the difference ➡ [8:20] Three key things needed for a successful Direct Selling business ➡ [8:53] How your Profile, Page and Groups help your business ➡ [10:02] Personal Profile do's and don'ts ➡ [11:06] Don't post constantly about your business or product ➡ [11:20] Do remember why people are connected to you ➡ [13:22] Don't spam ➡ [15:09] Do use your Personal Profile to connect to your Business Page and Group ➡ [19:31] The Russian roulette of connections via LinkedIn ➡ [22:09] Don't send unsolicited messages ➡ [26:19 Do use your Personal Profile to create curiosity and intrigue ➡ [30:09] How to create curiosity and intrigue ➡ [33:43] Don't be anything but you ➡ [33:56] Build trust ➡ [38:01] Don't post for the purpose of click-baiting ➡ [42:48] Inform people ➡[44:08] Look at the bigger picture Resources: Book recommendation ➡ Oversubscribed by Daniel Priestly: https://bit.ly/46i68uj Connect with Direct Selling Accelerator: ➡ Visit our website: https://www.auxano.global/ ➡ Subscribe to YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/DirectSellingAccelerator ➡ Follow us on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/auxanomarketing/ ➡ Sam Hind's Instagram: https://instagram.com/samhinddigitalcoach ➡ Follow us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/auxanomarketing/ ➡ Email us: grow@auxano.global If you have any podcast suggestions or things you'd like to learn about specifically, please send us an email at the address above. Join us in a thought-provoking conversation as we unravel the potential and pitfalls of personality profiling tools in Learning and Development. While these tools offer valuable insights, we'll explore why relying on them alone can be limiting. Is it a case of 'don't box me in' or do they set people free to be themselves? This week we challenge our thinking towards a holistic approach that combines profiling tools with a deeper understanding of individuals, ensuring development practitioners make informed decisions that go beyond mere judgments and truly enhance personal and professional development.Further the discussion with our guest experts, who can be found here:Teresa Rose https://www.linkedin.com/in/teresar/Lucinda Carney https://www.linkedin.com/in/lucindacarney/Sukh Pabial https://www.linkedin.com/in/sukhvinder-pabial/____________________________________________________________________________________________________Learning from the Edges is hosted by Michelle Parry-Slater, Director, Kairos Modern Learning.Michelle is the author of The Learning and Development Handbook - a practical guide for all professionals looking to offer effective, efficient, enjoyable and engaging people development, but not sure where to start. Imagine if on a first date someone asked “will you marry me?” Do you know where this is leading… In today's episode, we're going to explore a fascinating connection between two seemingly unrelated subjects: Dating 101 and strategies commonly used on Social Media. This is one of my absolute favourite analogies and methods to build relationships with your ideal customers! Think about it this way, jumping into a relationship without truly understanding the other person is quite similar to how many people approach online businesses. They dive straight into the sell, asking for a commitment, before even taking their dream customer on one simple date. They skip the crucial steps of building a connection. Here's the thing though; people buy from people they like, know and trust. In this episode, we'll draw parallels between traditional dating and our online interactions; underscoring the importance of gradual relationship growth. We'll talk about investing time in getting to know and engage with people — building trust and understanding. Join me as we explore the first step in effective online 'dating': the art of authentic relationships on Social Media. Let's dive in and discover the world of meaningful connections, one step at a time. Listen in and be ready to embrace the power of authentic engagement - it's about attracting the right people to grow our business effectively. Enjoy! We'll be talking about: ➡ [0:00] Introduction ➡ [2:07] Where to date? ➡ [3:03] Questions you need to ask yourself ➡ [4:40] Pay attention to HOW people use social media platforms ➡ [5:29] Personal Profile, Business Pages and Groups, which of these to use? ➡ [6:05] Personal Profiles, a quick look ➡ [8:12] What about Business Pages ➡ [11:10] Groups are… ➡ [15:10] What's your nurture sequence? ➡ [15:21] Final thoughts Resources: ➡ Keen to learn more? On today's episode of The Health Detective Podcast, we have a SUPER special guest, Brendan Vermeire! Brendan is not only an FDNP, but he is a pioneer in the functional medicine space, particularly around the topic of mental health. After struggling greatly with his own mental health (and watching the mental health challenges of a loved one), Brendan dedicated his life to figuring out the many reasons WHY there is such a widescale mental health crisis around the world. Not only did he come to some amazing realizations, but he has put things together from the research that are truly unique. This is NOT your average mental health podcast episode, that's for sure. We hope you enjoy this one, and if you have any follow-up questions, you may always reach out to us anytime at @fdntraining on Instagram. Interested in talking to a Course Enrollment Advisor instead? He is the proud owner and founder of the Metabolic Solutions Institute for Functional Health and Fitness Practitioners and the creator of the Functional Mental Health Practitioner Certificate Course (FMHP™). Having your Facebook profile hacked is a serious issue but there are steps you can and should take to minimize the aftermath in the event it happens to you. An ad manager recently posted in my Inner Circle for ad managers group about waking up to find thousands had been spent in their ad account and their client's ad accounts. It was devastating. An event like this is one I hope you never have to go through. Unfortunately, it's not until it happens that we realize there are steps that may have meant it could have been avoided. In this Security episode of Online Confidential, where I take you behind the scenes of ‘secret ad manager' business, I explain the steps that you, your team and your clients need to do RIGHT NOW to ensure yours and their Facebook profiles and ad accounts are secure. This episode will also equip you with what to do when the security of your Facebook profile or ad account is compromised.

An Empowered Survivor, Michelle knows the difference between being empowered and just surviving. Michelle was the victim of 6 rapes and one sexual assault beginning at 5 years of age, has experienced the persecution and challenges of her permanent pain work-related injury, has been stalked and powerless, and has lost some close to her to domestic murder. Now Michelle helps people to stop being at the mercy of their trauma and triggers. When a 17-year-old girl in Europe was allowed to die because she was struggling with the trauma of sexual assault, it broke Michelle's heart. She decided to share her knowledge and offer a voice in what has been a sea of silence. Michelle is an advocate for change in sexual assault culture, and for those who have experienced sexual assault, and in 1997 set a legal precedent around sexual assault. In 2010 Michelle disempowered a sexual predator and stopped him from raping her because she didn't respond like a victim. Michelle authored: “Insight Up Close and Personal Profile of Sexual Assault” for communities to better identify sexual predators and respond in a more resourceful way to the trauma of sexual assault. Michelle has the processes and knowledge that set her, and clients, permanently free of trauma, triggers, and PTSD. “Together we safely and easily dig up the root the difficulties, and plant something that will bloom into happiness, peace, and security.” Stop focusing on what you don't want and follow a proven, safe pathway to live the life you do want. We may have hated the term “lockdown” in the previous months. But this is one “lockdown” you’re going to appreciate. How would you feel if you woke up tomorrow and your Facebook profile was gone? Unfortunately this is a very real risk if you haven’t done a security check recently. Each week we are getting a growing number of people messaging us saying they’ve lost access to their pages, profiles and groups, with very little to no way of recovering them. Consider this, how many personal pictures and connections do you have that are relatively irreplaceable? So it goes without saying that when something like this happens, it’s an emotional experience. But what’s even more devastating is the fact that it will most certainly affect your entire business, especially with direct sellers. Thankfully there is much you can do to protect and secure your profile, pages and groups. I’ll be talking to you today about how you can make sure that your profiles and pages are 100% secure from hackers and shut down. Tune in and we’ve even added a valuable resource for you! In Ep. 151, When you initially sign up with Facebook, you do so as an individual. You create personal login details and share personal highlights about yourself for people you know in real life. You'll also have the option to become friends with friends of your friends and even people you meet inside Facebook groups. Conversely, with a Facebook business page, you're setting up a presence that's all about your brand, business, or cause. You have the freedom to advertise and promote your products and services on a daily basis. While you can use a personal profile to promote your business in creative ways, Facebook expressly states that personal profiles are not to be used solely for business purposes. Before you begin promoting your business on your personal profile, make sure to read Facebook's Terms of Service to make sure you don't violate them. If you do, you run the risk of having your account shut down. ( you can ask me anything on my Instagram page. That is - Sattyam03)

When it comes to Facebook strategy, one of the most frequent questions I get is: Should I be focusing on using a Business Page or my own Personal Profile? In 2018, Facebook made a major change in terms of building Page audience that changed everything. They severely started limiting the organic reach of Business Pages. As of right now, the only way to build your Facebook business page today is through paid advertising. However, running ads for NM opportunities and products does NOT work. It’s a total waste of time and money. That’s why I recommend you focus on building your personal brand on your Personal Profile and start selling YOU. Lead with LOVE and SERVICE on your social media posts, not selling and promoting. If you start selling and promoting LESS and start focusing on adding value to people with your content, I guarantee that you’ll start getting more engagement over time. It's a question I get asked a few times each week; should you go Live on Facebook on your profile, or on your business Page. Well, the answer is... yes! It just depends on what you're trying to accomplish. It depends on your goal for that particular piece of content. We go over when you should do Facebook Live on your profile, and when to do it on your business Page. We also talk about how to use Facebook Friend Lists to help your posts get more organic reach, and I have an exciting personal announcement about a real estate industry conference that I'm speaking at ina couple weeks.
In this episode we will be talking about whether you should be using a Facebook Personal Profile or a Business Page for your network marketing business. This is a hot topic right now in our profession, and I know there are many differing opinions on what you should be doing. One of the reasons this is such a hot topic is because Facebook is starting to crack down on people that are overly promotional and using their profile to sell. As a result, a lot of network marketers are afraid to use their personal profile. So, does that mean you should completely shift your focus to a Business Page for your business? Here’s my answer: absolutely not. However, you do need to be smarter about your approach. The number one goal for Facebook is to improve the user experience. When Network Marketers are spammy with their approach and cold pitch hundreds of people from their personal profile, they get in the way of that goal. Here’s the key to successful marketing on Facebook and what will keep you out of trouble: DON’T BE AN INFOMERCIAL. What does that mean? It means you need to learn to create content on Facebook that isn’t just about you selling all the time, and actually adds value to other people. The three things I always teach people to do with their content are; educate, entertain, and empower. The majority of your content that you create should have nothing to do with your specific network marketing company. Most of your “selling” and “recruiting” is going to happen behind the scenes through private conversations. This is what is often referred to today as ‘curiosity marketing’. It’s understanding that if you can add value to others with your content, you’ll build a bigger audience and that will lead to more sales and recruits. I didn’t create this episode to instill fear of getting your profile shut down - but I want you to to be educated. I want you to understand that we have a responsibility as a profession to be better about the way we use Facebook. If you are educated and smarter about your approach, you will not only be safe longterm, but you will be leveraging social media to help you create real results. Stacy Tuschl is a speaker, business coach, and the owner of The Academy of Performing Arts in Wisconsin. She is the author of the book “Is Your Business Worth Saving?” where she reveals proven strategies for pulling entrepreneurs out of a rut and launching them toward business success. Today, we're doing another Q&A session. The last one we did was really so good- in fact it was one of our most popular podcast episodes to date! I really love having these Q&A's! I love being able to jump right in and have you join us live and get some questions answered. We also have had some people submit their questions beforehand, just in case they can't make it live, so listen in, as we dive right in today, wrapping up our series for the month of July, which is all about working smarter, not harder. Show highlights: “I've just got back from an event on Monday and Tuesday and one of the things I've noticed from going to Live Events- and also posting my Live Events, is...” From minute 1:33, Stacy shares a big difference that she's noticed between herself, as a visionary, and others, when it comes to working smarter, not harder, after coming home from Live Events. This is about seeing the bigger picture, rather than the tedious little ones that tend to overwhelm you. “I want to start a podcast, but I don't know how to manage finding the time.” From minute 2:57, Stacy answers a question about how to find more time, in an already busy schedule. Here, Stacy explains about re-purposing. She takes just one piece of content and uses it all over the place! “I'm thinking about using Facebook notes, rather than a separate blog- what do you, or anyone else in this group, think of that?” At minute 6:30, Jessica asks a question about saving time, using Facebook notes, rather than writing a separate blog. Stacy comes up with a number of different ideas here and explains about picking your niche and attracting the type of people that you want to come to you. “What are the best methods for managing time spent with existing clients?” At minute 8:03, Stacy talks about the fine line between engaging with your clients and giving them your attention, and when they expect too much and begin crossing your boundaries. Here she explains how to remain in charge of your boundaries, in order for you to run your business and not have it running you. “What do you do when you realise- okay, I don't have boundaries set and I've been letting them break them?” From minute 11:30, Stacy explains what you can do, right this second, if you realise that you haven't set any boundaries with your clients and things are out of control. She explains how you can set new levels of expectation. “When you are trying to give away these bonuses and perks and and all of this...” From minute 14:37, Stacy explains how you can throw in perks and bonuses, and still make it scalable, without giving away your time. “I have an email provider- well the email provider could, at any moment, go bankrupt, or anything and those emails are just gone.” From minute 15:52, Stacy talks about the types of unforeseen things that people just don't think about, with the things that they do not own, like email providers. So your eggs should never all be in one basket. “Do you think having a Facebook Group versus just having a Fan Page is important? I'm afraid that it would take up too much of my time.” From minute 12.23, Stacy answers Natasha's question and explains some confusing bits of Facebook, relating to the personal and business aspects of your profile. Linking your Personal Profile to your Business Page and your Group, on Facebook, really saves you time. You definitely do need a Fan Page- if you don't, it means that you're not running Facebook Ads and you really should be doing that, because everybody's target market is on Facebook. Again, this relates to re-purposing. “If you can properly tag your Friends, to whatever category they should be in, it would be really great to show entrepreneurs certain things, but I don't want my sister to have to watch, or my mother-in-law to have to watch.” From minute 19:39, Stacy talks about how to properly tag on Facebook, so that only the right people see the things that you post. “In my Group, I might be doing something a little extra, or a little bonus, but the Group is about engagement and it's where we have our big challenges.” From minute 21:48, Stacy explains how she makes great use of her Facebook Group for her big challenges. She has one coming up in September and she points out the massive changes that you will see, in the Group, when the challenge happens. It goes to literally hundreds of posts per day! “I really think that you need to be having all three of them- and that sounds so overwhelming, but, when you use a scheduling tool...” From minute 22:15, Stacy explains that by using a Scheduling Tool to create automated posts, you really can use a Fan Page, a Group and a Business Page on Facebook, without becoming overwhelmed. Stacy uses Meet Edgar. “We've had Brand Ambassadors, so people that I'm coaching in my Profit Mastermind, my Profit Mastermind members have stepped up to the plate and have been the Brand Ambassador for the week.” From minute 23:01, Stacy explains how the members of her Profit Mastermind have really stepped up and become her Brand Ambassadors for the week. She's fully utilising these leaders and showing their capabilities out there, and it's also a test run for them, so this is another way that Stacy is working smarter, not harder. “Where do I need to look to get a phone number on Google?” From minute 24:10, Stacy answers Amanda's question and explains that by going to Google Voice, you can get a free Google Phone Number in there. Stacy explains the benefits of having this option and also why she really loves having Google Voice. “It's always, always in the preparation and not in the performance.” At minute 27:17, Stacy explains why you really need to focus on being prepared. “ August is going to be all about Product Development.” From minute 27:55, Stacy talks about what's coming up in August. The focus will be on creating a better product for your customer. “Heading into September, we are launching a challenge and we will be relaunching another round of Profit mastermind.” At minute 28:36, Stacy talks about what you can expect to be coming up, in September.
In this episode, Juliet and Clinton answer the following questions: 1) How to write a compelling personal profile for a website and social media? 2) How to find a niche? And 3) When should one start renting office space when starting out? In this episode we answered the following questions: 1. “How do you write a compelling personal profile for your website and social media? We're starting a new couples counseling practice early next year and are trying to write our profiles for the website and other social media sites but everything comes out either too impersonal or too cheesy! What should we be writing about to attract and engage new clients?” 2. “Hello there. I'm a psychotherapist (a generalist). I need to niche down and offer something rocking for someone in particular. I am truly stumped, in fact, in tears of trauma trying to figure it out. B2B is all over the place and so much easier. B2C is feeling nightmarish. Who to, what, who can afford it etc. Any help with niche for therapists moving into the current needs to specialise would be AWESOME!” 3. “I wonder if you could help me. I am building my private practice. I am just waiting to get an approval from the college that regulates psychotherapists in Ontario, Canada, where I live. I have my website and business cards ready, and I am focusing now on my blog and social media, just waiting to be able to work as a registered psychotherapist. In the meanwhile, I am stressed about deciding on renting and office now or wait until my registration is ready (not sure yet when the college will approve my application) I have been looking for some office spaces, but not sure when to start renting. My fear is that I might find clients and not having a space or having a space but not having clients yet. Any suggestion or advice is great appreciated. Thank you!” Get the show notes with all the links and resources mentioned in this episode at http://askjulietandclinton.com/96.

http://www.livefitoutloud.com FACEBOOK PAGE VS PROFILE PAGE : DIVORCE your Personal Profile Page? Fan Page Vs. a Profile on Facebook. Facebook page over profile. There is a lot of confusion about if you should have a Facebook Profile or a Facebook Page. Also, people aren't clear on what the difference might be as well. Think of a Facebook Profile as your personal page that gives a quick summary about you. It has information about YOU (where you went to school, where you work, what your favorite books are, and such). It's also a place to post your status and a status can express what you are doing, thinking, feeling, etc. Everyone should have an individual Facebook Profile; it's the essential building block of what Facebook is about. You need it in order to create a Facebook Page or Group. If you would like to get friends together to share content and posts, you should create or follow a group. But if you would like to promote your brand or keep up with your favorite celebrity or business, you should create or like a page. Are you trying to build a powerful personal brand? Your Listening to the Street Smart Wealth Podcast, show 149 I am regularly asked the question - should I create a facebook business page or just use my personal profile for my Direct Sales business, and if I do make one, how do I combine the two so they work together for the best exposure? We will cover that on today's show! Check the podcast archives on the blog at JackieUlmer.com for previous episodes if you missed any or are new to the show. Guess WHAT? My one on one and inner circle programs are LIVE! Are you looking for coaching to be successful in your Network Marketing business? Want to also learn how to generate your own leads online? My Inner Circle Coaching Program may be just what you need. Or, maybe it's one on one coaching. Learn more about both at StreetSmartWealth.com/coach Should I use a Facebook Business Page or my Personal Profile for my Direct Sales Business IT's an ongoing debate, whether to use a business page or your personal profile to conduct business on Facebook. In this training, I'm going to share the pros and cons of both, and how to combine the two for maximum reach! We've covered this already, but it bears repeating. When you take your business online (in addition to your offline, in-person networking), you extend your reach from just the people in your warm market – your friends and family, their friends and those you meet while out and about – to the billions of people online. When you work your warm market, you typically need to reach out to people, when you work online, you can attract people to you. I developed a true "pinch me" business when I would wake up, and find new leads and contacts from people who contacted me to ask about my business and product line. And, I have met some of my very best friends this way! On Facebook there are different types of entities – people (personal profiles), groups (open or closed groups of people) and pages (used by businesses, charities, celebrities, and so on). So, you have a personal Timeline, why not have a Facebook business timeline, too, right? Here is why a business Facebook timeline is so important. Not to be techie, but Facebook is basically a closed system that is not indexed by Google. Facebook Business Timelines ARE indexed by Google though. This just basically means that people can find your Facebook business timeline in Google! You have 3 opportunities to connect with people - your friends, your followers and your business page followers. When I started on Facebook, business pages did not exist so I learned how to carefully keep my business alive on facebook, and yet in the background so as not to offend those who did not want to know about it. And, I view it like I do my real estate friends. Each week, many of my friends in real estate post details about their opn houses they are hosting. It's not at all offensive to me and they aren't blatant about WHY it's the best house ever and why I should buy it. Think about this as you create your own business info that you gently share. Remember the 80/20 rule and the concept of Facebook being like Cheers, the TV show from the 90s, where everyone gathered in a social pub after work! There was talk about the wife, the kids, vacation, and jobs. Keep your life colorful, interesting and entertwine all aspects together to showcase who you are - not all business and not all play. So, why use a Facebook business page? Here are some top reasons for why to use a Facebook Business Page: It is against Facebook’s Terms of Service to use a personal page for business purposes. They could shut down your account. You can be generic about what you do, and I recommend this, but if you are continually pumping your business info out, you could get slapped! Big Time! It’s annoying to friends and family to constantly see business ads on your personal page. Most people view this as spam. When you post business content to your personal profile, people may unfriend you, block your feed, and possibly report your posts as spam. If enough people report you, you may land in Facebook “jail”. Ouch, this is no fun, and there are a number of companies who have been blocked due to too many people spamming links. IF your company is blocked, and you have references to your company name on your profile, it can also get blocked. Using both a business page and a personal profile gives you two “voices” to speak to your customers and potential team partners. Two voices are better than one. A business page is open to attract anyone, not just friends and family and their friends (your warm market). A personal profile can only have 5000 friends, a facebook page can have millions of fans. With a business page, you can run targeted ads to build your fanbase and attract people who are interested in your product and opportunity. (The targeting of these ads is really important. More on that later.) When you build your fan base, your ordinary posts can be seen by hundreds or thousand of people every day. When you’ve built your fan page, and your audience and post engaging content regularly, people will come to YOU asking about your product and opportunity. People reach out to me every day. Some days, a post will catch people’s hearts and go viral, and I’ll see reach in in the ten thousands and dozens and dozens of people will reach out. Now creating a fan page, learning to place ads and post engaging content does take a bit to learn. It takes about 10 minutes to create a page, and about an hour once a week to set up and "pre post" a week’s worth of posts. And just like Network Marketing it may take a few months of sustained effort, a little bit every day, to build momentum. But if you are planning to be in this business in a few months anyway, why not also plan to have people coming to you? There is a time line to success! I know people who say they don’t want to learn new things, or that they tried an ad one day and it didn’t work for them. There is a trick to it. You have to put some thought into who you want to attract. You need to target your like ads specifically to them and post content to engage them. And you need to talk to them, not in your bullhorn voice, but your talking to your best friend conversational voice AND you need to put your heart into it. That is all. When you post to your business page, you have the option to share that post from your personal profile and this is one way the two entities can work well together. You are seen as just SHARING content and not originating it. And, you never know who else will see it and share it, expanding your reach even further! Don't get discouraged if if takes a little bit of time Use Hashtags Be consistent in posting value, including your business link Like your own page from your personal profile and share some of the business content from time to time, and this is how you get the most bang for your buck. http://manieamari.com/recommends/KILLERFBPAGES Ok so I'm here on my Personal Profile and I'm just going to switch to one of my pages. This is how you toggle between two pages. Between your Personal Profile and the Fan Page you have created. So you will have to click on the arrow to get the drop down menu. If you have more than one page created they will be listed in the drop down menu. The caption at the top means that you can use your Facebook Profile as your Fan Page.
