Released in 1998 and directed by Ivan Reitman, this film stars Harrison Ford and Anne Heche in a story that mixes elements of action, romance, and survival.Six Days, Seven Nights sees Anne Heche as Robin Monroe, a New York City magazine editor, who ends up stranded on a deserted South Pacific island with Quinn Harris, played by Harrison Ford, a gruff cargo pilot. Their adventure begins unexpectedly when Robin hires Quinn to fly her to Tahiti, but a storm forces them to crash-land on a remote island.Initially, Robin and Quinn are anything but fond of each other. However, as they navigate the challenges of survival in a remote jungle, their antagonistic relationship evolves. Amidst dodging pirates and the elements, their initial disdain transforms into a budding romance, providing plenty of comedic and tender moments. At its core, Six Days, Seven Nights is about more than just physical survival; it's also about personal growth and finding love in unexpected places. Both main characters discover traits and strengths they didn't know they had, reflecting the movie's themes of resilience and adaptability. If you're in the mood for a film that doesn't take itself too seriously but provides entertainment with a scenic backdrop, charming leads, and a satisfying mix of romance and adventure, Six Days, Seven Nights is a great pick. It encapsulates the late '90s era of romantic comedies with a twist of adventure, making it a light-hearted film to revisit. So, buckle up and join us as we revisit this escapade in Six Days, Seven Nights, exploring how adversity can lead to unexpected companionship and how sometimes, getting lost means finding what you didn't know you were looking for.

Today on the A Pinch of Magick Podcast I'm joined by actress and author Clare Cunliffe-Saunders as we talk about Clare claiming the title of witch and how she incorporates magick into her everyday life. In this episode we discuss: How Clare came to her magickal path Her unexpected 'Christian' introduction to the tarot Her experience of having premonitions and how she distanced herself from that gift What being a witch means to Clare Why working with the seasons is an integral part of her practice Her experience with SAD (seasonal affective disorder) and how she manages it How she incorporates magick into her everyday life Her magickal morning and evening routines Magickal baths Her favourite Yule craft of making Witch balls How she became an author after she wrote the book her daughter needed to read And much more About Clare Cunliffe-Saunders Clare is a voice actress and children's author. “Seven Nights of Snuggles” is for young school children (age 5-8 approx) and was illusrated by Clare's daughter Rose when she was only 9 years old. This is available in audiobook as well as paperback on Amazon. Clare has enjoyed a wonderful career as an actress which has enabled her to travel around the world - her favourite job was understudying the lead female roles while playing a phantom in the West End & Broadway touring cast of The Rocky Horror Show. Now she's settled down in the countryside with her husband, two teenage children and newfoundland dog. She currently spends her free time working on her new middle grade (8-12 year olds) children's book series, “Charlotte & Arthur's Adventures” - a three part series set in a fantasy land based on Clare's favourite festivals from the Wheel of the Year and the elements. The first is set during Yule, the second Samhain and third Ostara. Clare is aiming these books towards pagan families so that their children can have a book which describes their festivals in a way they can relate to and enjoy. The series is set in an imaginative fantasy land and draws on pagan figures, folklore and mythical creatures. Clare can also be found giving little witchy tips and supporting small businesses and artists over on her new Instagram page at CottageWitchInTheWoods. I had the pleasure of interviewing Anne Heche earlier this year. I, and everyone at the Behind The Velvet Rope Podcast, are deeply saddened to hear of her passing last week. Besides a career in Hollywood that most could only dream of, having started in some of the most iconic TV and Film of all time, she was an actress whose craft had been perfected to the nth degree. During this interview, she was so gracious with her time. She was kind, open, honest, forthright, a bright light and so very full of life. A trailblazer. I hope that by listening to this chat, you are able to get a glimpse into what a remarkable woman she was. Having spoken to her for just this hour, I sure did. We release this episode today as a tribute to the life of Anne Heche. Anne Heche steps Behind The Rope. Actress of Film, TV, Stage. Best Selling Author. Activist. Trailblazer. Director. Anne opens up about what it was like to be the original one Cancelled before Cancel Culture was a thing as a result of her bringing Ellen DeGeneres to a movie premiere as her date and Ellen's coming out of “Yup, I'm Gay” at a time when the world wasn't 2022. Anne talks about those ten long years when no one in Hollywood would cast her, her public fallout with Ellen, what it's like being “tied” to Ellen in the public eye all these years later, how The Ellen Show complicated her search for work even further and what she thinks, in a full circle moment, about Ellen's now Cancellation after being deemed The Queen of Mean. Anne talks about her star turn on Dancing With The Stars, her love of Reality TV - her Best of List is music to our ears - and whether and why she would ever join or not join The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills!! On Sunday, March 20, 2022, Pastor Joe Troutman preached "Weep with Those Who Weep" from Job 2:11-13. "Jesus Christ shared in our suffering, humbling himself by taking up a body of dust so that we can live with him forever in glory." 1. A Concerted Effort (v. 11) 11 Now when Job's three friends heard of all this evil that had come upon him, they came each from his own place, Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite. They made an appointment together to come to show him sympathy and comfort him. 2. Sharing Sorrows (v. 12) 12 And when they saw him from a distance, they did not recognize him. And they raised their voices and wept, and they tore their robes and sprinkled dust on their heads toward heaven. 3. Seven Days and Seven Nights (v. 13) 13 And they sat with him on the ground seven days and seven nights, and no one spoke a word to him, for they saw that his suffering was very great. mcopc.org/podcast

Hey Everyone! Well, it has been an up and down week between weather, getting the garden cleaned out, and driving kids to practice/work. But finally, today I got to stay home ALL day, and it was fantastic. Running around is more unusual for me as the farm needs attention, but sometimes life throws you curve balls that you have to roll with. That being said, when you get out of a routine, you also appreciate the little things more, like waking up to a rooster crowing and enjoying him instead of wanting to shoot him, or your daughter saying pillow fight and then giggling as she waylays you. Walking down the stairs, the house is freezing because the fire went out during the night. Normally this might bring a grumpy response, but once you light the fire and feel the soft fingertips of the flame reaching, your body awakes, and you don't mind the task so much. When you run around, you are overloaded or pressured with time and people. It may not seem to affect you or your health at first, but the longer you do it, the more you miss the quiet or special little things. Even if you love the hustle of the city, you still have a routine or things you love about simple pleasures. Trust me, I believe in getting out, being refreshed, and taking a vacation. It is the mindless running around that I'm talking about and can affect people. So what's my point? Well, people are always saying they need to get away or want to go somewhere. But I don't believe it's necessarily the getting away or mindless running that needs to happen. It is simply making the life where you are at where you want to be. There will always be a bigger and better place in your mind or scenario. And there will always be the possibility that your child will turn out to be an Olympic star. But don't give up living and enjoying the simple pleasures because you always want to be somewhere else. Or feel you will ruin your child's life if they are not in every school event. Harrison Ford said it best in, Six Days and Seven Nights, "It's an island, babe. If you don't bring it here, you won't find it here." Contentment comes in finding out who you are, not in how many places you can go or how often you run around. As I write about health, I'm reminded that contentment is probably the biggest key to every person's health. Because if you are content, you are not stressed. As we all know, stress kills, so every person should avoid it or the environment where you feel it. Now sometimes you can't control the environment, like for me this week. So to keep the stress low, I needed to find joy in running instead of stressing myself out because things were piling up at home. And by doing that, I learned to enjoy the tiny little things at the same time. Kind of a domino effect; once the dominos fall, you can see over the top and have a new perspective. You may be thinking, "well, duh," but even when something seems like common sense, we still overlook it. So I'm challenging you for your health and contentment to stop running in circles and learn to be who you are where you are while appreciating life's small everyday pleasures. Well, that's my health tip and thought of the week. Go, take a walk, make a meal for the family, stop at a coffee shop and people watch. Or, sit by the fire, work in your yard, talk to a friend, and remember it's the simple and little things that keep a smile on your face. And if you're put in an environment where you can't help it, smile and find a blessing anyway. Love you, and as always, remember to stay healthy and free! Adam welcomes Anne Heche in studio at the top of Part 2. Adam chats with her about her podcast, ‘Better Together with Anne and Heather', and they go on to discuss food shaming, feeling isolated as a child, and trying to heal yourself through telling the truth. Adam also asks Anne about her dad dying from AIDS, and leaving family tragedy behind for Hollywood. Later, Anne talks about getting fired for going to the ‘Volcano' premiere with her then-girlfriend, Ellen DeGeneres, and shares stories from the sets of movies like ‘Six Days, Seven Nights' and ‘Wag the Dog'. In the last part of the show, Gina reads news stories about the remains of Brian Laundrie, more vaccine mandates, the Cincinnati zoo vaccinating a variety of animals, ‘Dads on Duty' stopping violence, Jeremy Piven getting burglarized, a Guy Fieri Halloween costume, and a new wine from Grey Poupon. Shalom! In this fifteenth episode of “Nadine's Vocal Jewish Journal,” I cover the most recent Jewish Holiday, Sukkot. Sukkot represents the many years that the Jews spent in the desert to get to the Promised Land, now known as Israel. The word “sukkot” literally means “hut,” and every year, families come together and build these huts (also called sukkahs) to live in for 8 days and 7 nights. Sukkahs are decorated inside with various colors, hanging ornaments, and any craft that kids make. Main symbols of Sukkot are the etrog, lulav, hadas, and aravah. Welcome to Lihu'e, Hawaii, our 75th small town! Lihu'e is the county seat of Kauai County and the second largest town on the island of Kaua'i. The town was a minor village on the island until the emergence of the sugar industry in the 1800s. Lihu'e became the central city after the construction of a large sugar mill in town. In addition to its importance in the sugar industry, the area is also a favorite spot for the film industry. The area has been used for shots or as a filming location for M*A*S*H, Tropic Thunder, Six Days and Seven Nights, South Pacific, and Gilligan's Island to name a few. The town is also home to the Alekoko Fishpond, a nearly 1,000 year old example of ancient Hawaiian aquaculture. We hope you enjoy all this little slice of heaven has to offer!

It's as if we never said goodbye! Happy pride and happy summer, bbs! We are back with a very special clip show episode with brand new content featuring Wendy Makkena, Heather Matarazzo, Anne Heche, Baayork Lee, and Tichina Arnold. Wendy Makkena (Sister Act) opens our show with her uncanny impersonation of our fave Penny Marshall who directed Wendy as “All the Way” Mae in the TV series version of A League of Their Own. Heather Matarazzo (Welcome to the Dollhouse) talks to us about donning Carrie Fisher-like tinted glasses in Scream 3 and remembers working with both Debbie Reynolds and Carrie on Roseanne. Anne Heche (Six Days, Seven Nights) gives us the skinny on her dating life that included both George Clooney and the recently single Lindsey Buckingham of Fleetwood Mad fame. Baayork Lee (A Chorus Line) imagines a revival of the musical Seesaw; she danced on point and covered in balloons in the original production opposite the great Tommy Tune, And finally, Tichina Arnold (Martin) shares the pre-CGI magic of the opening scene of Little Shop of Horrors as directed by the incomparable Frank Oz. All that, plus Anne's dad Ralph makes a surprise visit to the pod to show us why Anne is the way she is, and listener Kathy shares a real life story about Frank Oz that will make you sing. In 1979, the American psychologist James Hillman published The Dream and the Underworld, a polemical meditation on the nature of dreams. Rejecting the orthodoxies of both Freud and Jung, Hillman argued that the the "nightworld" of dream should not play second fiddle to the "dayworld" of waking life, because in the soul as on earth, day and night are equally essential, and equally real. To reduce a dream to a message or interpretation is to fail the dream. In order for dreams to do their work on us, says Hillman, we must cease to regard them as hallucinations, mere metaphors, epiphenomena, or illusions, and instead see them as the imaginal other life we all must live. Every night, for Hillman, each of us descends into the underworld to encounter those forces that shape us and our surroundings. The way down is the way up. Welcome to The B-Side, from The Film Stage. Here we talk about movie stars and not the movies that made them famous or kept them famous, but the ones they made in between. Today we discuss the greatest movie star of them all: Mr. Harrison Ford! With his new film The Call Of The Wild now in theaters, Dan Mecca and Conor O'Donnell talk about a handful of B-Sides from the legend's long career. After being a contract player in the late ‘60s, Ford began popping up in stuff like Getting Straight and American Graffiti in the early ‘70s ahead of his breakout turn as Han Solo in 1977's Star Wars. Following his first (and only) Oscar nomination for Witness, Ford re-teamed with director Peter Weir for our first B-Side, The Mosquito Coast. Two years later, he worked with Roman Polanski on the Hitchcockian thriller Frantic. After an incredible box office run from 1988 to 1997, his luck turned a bit with the adventure comedy Six Days, Seven Nights. Finally, we cover a couple of notable, late-career supporting turns in Morning Glory and The Age Of Adaline. We discuss the man's best performances, the Everyman qualities he exudes, his endearing late-night appearances and, of course, Indiana Jones 5. Be sure to give us a follow on Twitter and Facebook at @TFSBSide. Also enter our giveaways, get access to our private Slack channel, and support new episodes by becoming a Patreon contributor. Hear our thoughts on everything and everyone in this tournament, as we discuss everything from why Jay White hasn't had a great run this year, why Jeff Cobb has also been pretty disappointing, why Jon Moxley has been so great, why Taichi is #actuallygood, and why all the usual suspects have absolutely killed it for the most part. Once we're finally done with all of that we wrap things up with a look ahead to the final four nights of block action, picking a most anticipated match for each one. A fun time breaking down all things Grade One Climax, this week! Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brands Privacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
We kick off this week’s episode by judging Harrison Ford’s character and skill as an aviator, then seamlessly dovetail into the latest movie/tv/internet news (6:59). Then, on to the meat of the podwich… highlights include the recent shit we’d recommend you see (16:36), an in depth discuss of movie trailers (25:45), our favorite teaser trailers (34:10), a brief but inevitable digression about Star Wars (44:01), our favorite full blown trailers (55:42), and our inevitable descent into madness… all in less time than it would take you to watch a feature length film.

Disney hits more than a few stumbling block with the early-80s entry THE LAST FLIGHT OF NOAH'S ARK. Just entering the period where they attempt to create less kid-friendly fare, instead they let the children and animals fade into the background while focusing on an unconvincing love story between Elliott Gould and French Canadian actress Geneviève Bujold, a pair of Japanese Stragglers, and a truly awful, just awful song. What could have been basically Six Days, Seven Nights nearly two decades early turns out to be one of the most confounding movies we've watched so far.
Guess who's back, back again! It's not a dated 00's reference, it's Jamie Carbone! He joins the Hollywood Kaiju Badboys Martin, Luke and Brandon to talk Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie. Great conversation points include not being able to remember the movie Six Days, Seven Nights, Jamie taking over our podcast to start his own about the band Yellowcard and baking your favorite action figures. BAKE! THAT! DEBT!
Josh and friend of the show Christy Admiraal (who may or may not be on an upcoming episode) produced this short story for the spooky Halloween season. Now we share it with all of you. Anybody else feel like they need a vacation? This week we go tropical with Six Days, Seven Nights, Ivan Reitman's 1998 comedy-romance-adventure featuring none other than Harrison Ford, not to mention Anne Heche. The less said about David Schwimmer the better. This movie was an oasis of adventure when we were younger, but how does it hold up now? Listen below to find out. Also, Subscribe on iTunes or Stitcher. Also, follow us on Twitter. And please consider supporting our Patreon campaign. WARNING: this podcast contains strong language and immature subject matter, please be advised.
A special guest joins us to discuss Freaky Friday (2003), Tombstone (1993), Sing Street (2016), Six Days, Seven Nights (1998) and The Lady from Shanghai (1947). Get in touch on superbaileybros@gmail.com and @superbaileybros on Twitter – thanks for listening!
Anne Heche's start in Hollywood included some major motion pictures--"Six Days, Seven Nights" with Harrison Ford, "Volcano" with Tommy Lee Jones. But Anne made the switch to cable for the scary new series "Dig," a pre-apocalyptic thriller set in Jerusalem. Anne talks Armageddon, Croatia, kids on summer vacation and how wonderfully weird her life has become.
Harrison finally stops his run of boy-scout rolls and gets back to a lovable gruff rogue with the character Quinn Harris in Six Days and Seven Nights. Was Anne Heche and good fit to play against Harrison? Will Ross ever not be Ross? How many times has Harrison been in a cockpit? What happens when Jango Fett goes after Han Solo? All good questions and we attempt to answer them this episode. We also break down Harrison's appearance at Comi-Con, The Force Awakens, the new Han Solo film and who could pull off playing a Harrison Ford roll. AND Mikey comes to George Lucas's defense...again.
