Bio: Cheryl Leutjen's deep love of Earth, as well as her hope for a bright future for her children, fuel her passion for responding to the challenges of our time with heart, hope, humor, and spiritual practice. Cheryl writes and speaks to share her experiences on the razor's edge between Earth-mindfulness and eco-madness, not because she's got it all figured out, but in solidarity with anyone else who's fumbling along the path of more conscientious living. She draws from her experience as a geologist, attorney, small business owner, spiritual practitioner, wife and mother to claw her way out of the abyss of eco-despair. She seeks solace from the sages in Nature who reveal the wisdom she needs to navigate a more Earth-loving path. Cheryl credits the Modern Day Priestess training with Reverend Kate Rodger, steeping in ancient wisdom ways for practical use in the modern world, for inspiring the spiritual growth that now guides her “Love Earth” work. She resides in Los Angeles, where she takes copious yoga classes, digs up the yard and throws a lot of darts as therapy. She facilitates the Natural Muse Meetup for Earth-loving writers. She serves as Vice-President of the Board of Directors of the North East Trees nonprofit organization, “bringing Nature back” to nature-poor communities around Los Angeles County. Her book, Love Earth Now, won a 2018 Silver Nautilus Book Award. Ilia Delio, OSF holds the Josephine C. Connelly Chair in Christian Theology at Villanova University. Her area of research is Science and Religion with interests in artificial intelligence, evolution, quantum physics, and the import of these for Christian doctrine and life. She holds a doctorate in Pharmacology from Rutgers University, Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, and a doctorate in Historical Theology from Fordham University. She is the author of over twenty books including Making All things New (Catholicity in an Evolving Universe), a finalist for the 2019 Michael Ramsey Prize and The Unbearable Wholeness of Being: God, Evolution, and the Power of Love, for which she won the 2014 Silver Nautilus Book Award and a 2014 Catholic Press Association Book Award in Faith and Science. Her latest book is Re-Enchanting the Earth: Why AI Needs Religion. She is the founder of the Center for Christogenesis, an online educational resource for promoting the vision of Teilhard de Chardin and, more broadly, the integration of science and religion in the 21st century. Some of the main points discussed in this conversation. What is God? As we enter the mystery of God, language fails us, and the mystery grasps us all the more. The mystery of God is the same mystery at the heart of physics. There's nothing outside the existence of God. God is existence itself. God's love is so infinite that there is nothing in this creation that's un-loveable or unloved by God. This is a finite creation. Wherever there are boundaries there is the possibility of suffering.  Suffering and death are part of the life cycle. Reincarnation discussion. Are multiple incarnations sequential or simultaneous? A deep experience of the mystery of God supports the freedom to speculate, dream, and imagine. Science and religion need one another in order to fully understand the world. The necessity and drawbacks of specialization and the complexification of knowledge. If our hearts are grounded in holy mystery we become more fully God-like in our actions. Humanity won't have a sustainable future unless we renew the deeper dimension in our lives. Cyborgs and transhumanism The mutually beneficial relationship between spiritual and material technologies. A profound spiritual transformation is underway. Pierre Teilhard de Chardin's idea of a new religion of the earth, retaining the wisdom of the past but creating something new for the future. Wherever in the universe intelligent life exists, it will search for ultimate intelligence. Intelligent design The core energy of the universe – God - is love. The force that creates stars is the same force that manifests as love in humans. Love is the highest knowledge. In the evening of life, we shall be judged on love alone. Making love the lens through which we see all of life. “The more I am in union with another, the more I am in touch with myself because it's the core of myself that's in union.” What might the world be like if everyone were enlightened? How he came up with the Bridging Question that is in his book, It Didn't Start with You, and how people can decipher their unique question to ask about their past. Why your worst fear is actually a nugget of gold as it helps distill your past and heal your body and mind. Unpacking our non-verbal trauma language that shows up in sensations, behaviors, and physical feelings that arise that reflect a situation that’s already happened in the family. How non-verbal trauma language is mirrored in our relationship struggles, who we choose, the type of relationships we have, and even how we view money and success. Why some people manifest inherited family trauma even greater than other people. Bruce Lipton Why it’s not a bad thing if we keep repeating these cycles because it’s just an invitation for us to further explore them.   [21:00] A Map To Your Unique Core Wound Diving into the map of words that he has in his book, It Didn't Start with You, to help guide you to your unique core wound. The process he went through to write the book in 9 years as he was open to receive, explore, and download this information and experience helping others heal. The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle  Why he doesn’t believe we own this information about the human consciousness but it just flows to us when we’re open to receiving it. What guidance Spirit can offer us when we suffer so that we can hold our wisdom in an authentic way like when Mark lost his eyesight. How isolation, mask-wearing, and disconnecting from other people during COVID-19 is creating repercussions of trauma that can be inherited further down the line. How similar events to COVID-19 such as the bubonic plagues, cholera epidemics, Spanish Flu, and diseases that killed Native Americans when Europeans first came to what is now the USA and how that impacted our family lines. The bigger traumas we have to consider such as when a family member dies or when somebody greatly suffers.   [28:30] Proactively Embodying Healing Now During COVID-19 Why it’s so important to use this time during COVID-19 and lockdown to do the inner work. What we can do to become more comfortable with the uncomfortable sensations in our body during the inner work process. Why what has activated our stress response is not important in the grand scheme of things; what matters is that we attend to it. Unpacking why a break in the attachment with our mother or inherited breaks is what leads to our isolation, distancing ourselves, and emotional mask-wearing. How our parents’ relationships with their mothers also affect us and our attachment with them. Exploring whether inherited trauma and what type of it depends on gender and how it’s transferred by sperm or egg. Isabel Mansuy’s research on Pakistani orphans and survivors of the Nice, France attack in 2015 during which she both found correlations in the victims' blood biomarkers with that of her lab mice. What steps we can take to bridge the gap between awareness and forgiveness. Unpacking the importance of not rejecting or excluding the members of our family even though they were alcoholics, abusive, etc. How we extract certain partners when we accept or reject specific human behaviors.   [47:00] Healing Your Relationship With A Parent Exercises you can do at home on your own to help you heal a relationship with a parent before working with them on it in real life. The importance of attunement beginning in the uterus and how to make that bond stronger throughout your life with compassion. What to do if a family member is refusing to work with you to heal your broken relationship. How we can do the work to heal the relationship without taking it so personally but looking beyond at your parent's history. What significant health issues can happen if you have a broken relationship with a parent. Inner work practices to decipher whether what you're feeling is true or how to take advice from other people. What it means to actually do the work for the right vs wrong reasons. How to feel the sensations of the inner practice both physically and viscerally instead of attaching ourselves to the outcome of the work. What he did to actually heal his own vision by healing his relationship with his mom.   [1:00:00] The Language We Create When Trauma Happens Exploring the biology and psychology of specific language used to heal trauma. How trauma language can be either verbal or even non-verbal. The importance of letting go of our inherited family trauma to find peace and clarity on what our life purpose is along this wellness journey. Why living life well means giving ourselves the self-care of inner work. breathwork.io M21 Wellness Guide Wellness Force Community   Power Quotes From The Show   The Bridging Question   "The Bridging Question is a tool to help us get to our symptom picture, how we're suffering, and to see if it's connected in the family history. This helps us look at our worst fear and decipher if it actually comes from inherited generational trauma or not. It's a way to outline and distill down to this nugget of gold because it's one of those questions that when we get to the answer, our body starts to reverberate. If someone's greatest fear is that they will harm a child and they ask themselves the question, 'Have I ever harmed a child?', and the answer is, 'no.' Then you ask yourself the bridging question, 'Has anyone in my family ever harmed a child?' The answer to that Bridging Question and how you feel after asking yourself it will help you down the path of healing."  - Mark Wolynn     Verbal vs Nonverbal Generational Trauma Language   "The language such as that in the Bridging Question that we ask to follow and understand our family history doesn't have to be verbal. What I've discovered is there's 'verbal trauma language' and then there's 'nonverbal trauma language.' When a trauma language is verbal, that's when we say to ourselves, 'I'll be abandoned,' or 'I'll be left behind,' but when it's nonverbal, we have to look for the events in our family history. The physical, the emotional symptoms that show up after something unsettling that happens to us. We look for the fears or anxieties that strike suddenly when we reach a particular age. Often it's the same age as when something happened in the family history." - Mark Wolynn       What Anchors Generational Traumas?     "Why do these traumas repeat themselves later on in generations? It goes beyond just epigenetics. We know from embryology that when our grandmother was five months pregnant with our mother that all the eggs that our mother would ever have were already implanted in our mother's womb when she's a fetus; one of which is us. So, there's this shared biological environment and when we combine it with how a mother's emotions are chemically communicated to the fetus through the placenta, this can biochemically alter the genetic expression. There are other factors but to answer the question directly - What anchors these generational traumas? When the traumas aren't talked about, when the healing isn't complete, when the pain, grief, shame, and embarrassment is so great that people can't look at it." - Mark Wolynn     Links From Today's Show  311 Mark Wolynn Healing Trauma | The "INCUBATOR" Wound In Relationship It Didn't Start With You The Family Constellation Institute The Inherited Trauma Institute The Hellinger Institute of Northern California ION*Biome 302 Mark Groves 277 Christine Hassler Bruce Lipton The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle  Early Life Stress in Both Mice and Men Reduces the Levels of Same Sperm miRNAs Implicated in the Transmission of Stress Induced Phenotypes Across Generations Isabelle Mansuy - Laboratory of Neuroepigenetics at the University of Zurich Fear Of A Smell Can Be Passed Down Several Generations Halting Legacies of Trauma | Brian Dias | TEDxEmory Three Generations of Family History - Inherited Family Trauma Creating an Inherited Family Traumagram The Legacy of Unfinished Business It Didn't Start With You, Mark Wolynn Leave Wellness Force a review on iTunes breathwork.io M21 Wellness Guide Wellness Force Community Mark Wolynn Facebook Instagram Twitter   About Mark Wolynn Director of The Family Constellation Institute, The Inherited Trauma Institute and The Hellinger Institute of Northern California, Mark Wolynn is North America’s leader in Inherited Family Trauma. When a trauma happens, it changes us. Literally, it causes a chemical change in our DNA. The best way to say it is we're born into fears, feelings, anxieties, and depressions that aren't ours. We do not enter the world with a clean hard drive; there is an operating system that's already taking place containing the fallout of our parents', grandparents', and maybe even great-grandparents' traumas. We're born in the dark with thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that we can't explain. - Mark Wolynn What if your thoughts, reactions, and even just ways of being aren't even yours but just parts of your family's history that you have inherited?   Get 15% off your CURED Nutrition order with the code WELLNESSFORCE   ---> Get The Morning 21 System: A simple and powerful 21 minute system designed to give you more energy to let go of old weight and live life well.   JOIN THE FACEBOOK GROUP | *REVIEW THE PODCAST*   Wellness Force Radio Episode 311 Director of The Family Constellation Institute, The Inherited Trauma Institute and The Hellinger Institute of Northern California, and Author of It Didn't Start with You, Mark Wolynn, is North America’s leader in Inherited Family Trauma. Anxiety. Chronic Pain. Phobias. Obsessive thoughts. The evidence is compelling: the roots of these difficulties may not reside in our immediate life experience or in chemical imbalances in our brains—but in the lives of our parents, grandparents, and even great-grandparents. The latest scientific research, now making headlines, supports what many have long intuited—that traumatic experience can be passed down through generations. What You Will Learn It Didn’t Start with You builds on the work of leading experts in post-traumatic stress, including Mount Sinai School of Medicine neuroscientist Rachel Yehuda and psychiatrist Bessel van der Kolk, author of The Body Keeps the Score. Even if the person who suffered the original trauma has died, or the story has been forgotten or silenced, memory and feelings can live on. These emotional legacies are often hidden, encoded in everything from gene expression to everyday language, and they play a far greater role in our emotional and physical health than has ever before been understood. The Wellness Force M21 Guide Wellness Force Community on Facebook Power Quotes From The Show Uncovering Our Trauma Language "I find that when a trauma happens, there's something else that goes on; trauma language is left which we also carry with us. Clues after a trauma are left behind in the emotionally charged words and sentences. This leaves behind a bread crumb trail and if we know how to follow it, it'll lead us to the missing piece of the picture that finally gives us context for why we feel, think, and act the way we do." - Mark Wolynn Shaking The Family Tree "We've got to shake the family tree and see what falls out. We have to find out what stories have never been told, what secrets were hidden, and what traumas were never fully healed. Then, we have to do our own healing work, understand how we're reliving those traumas, and what we can do to bring strength and peace to ourselves and future generations."  - Mark Wolynn The Residue From Traumatic Events "Just as we inherit eye color and blood type, we also inherit the residue from traumatic events." - Mark Wolynn Links From Today's Show Cured Nutrition 302 Mark Groves Alan Watts Bruce Lipton Bert Hellinger The Wellness Force M21 Guide Wellness Force Community on Facebook Three Generations of Family History - Inherited Family Trauma Creating an Inherited Family Traumagram The Legacy of Unfinished Business The Family Constellation Institute, The Inherited Trauma Institute The Hellinger Institute of Northern California It Didn't Start With You Mark Wolynn Facebook Instagram Twitter About Mark Wolynn Director of The Family Constellation Institute, The Inherited Trauma Institute and The Hellinger Institute of Northern California, Mark Wolynn is North America’s leader in Inherited Family Trauma. Kat James- Total Transformation

My Independence Report

Kat James transformed her body and skin beyond recognition after a 12-year eating disorder and autoimmune disease nearly took her life. Without drugs or deprivation, the principles, strategies and resources that took her years to stumble on ultimately cured not only Kat's heroin-like addiction to food (resulting in a loss of ten dress sizes), but the skin-disfiguring liver disease and other issues that destroyed her health, beauty, and self-image for more than a decade. Today, at forty-four, and with none of the effort typically made to maintain such dramatic weight loss and transformation, Kat continues to defy the no-pain, no-gain, "boot camp" myths of beauty and slimness in her well-researched teachings, and in her vibrant living example.Called "a master of self-transformation" by Self magazine's Mary Christ Anderson, Kat's advice and programs have been featured on Today, Hallmark Channel's New Morning, TBS' Movie and a Makeover, and in nearly every fashion and natural health magazine, including Vogue, Glamour, Oprah's magazine, O, Alternative Medicine, and Natural Health. Through her newly updated and re-released bestseller, The Truth About Beauty, national health columns, PBS special, and acclaimed, cruise- and villa-based Total Transformation® programs since 2000, Kat has helped thousands to mastermind their own healing transformations using science and strategy, rather than suffering or short-sighted quick-fixes. Known for her powerful "lifestyle upgrades" that produce visible change in a matter of days, and for her collection of one-of-a-kind resources that spell the difference between failure and success, Kat's teachings have consistently enabled others to replicate her own remarkable results, and garnered the endorsement of many leaders in nutrition and health.Adding a compelling dimension to Kat's rare perspective are her years in the world of fashion as one of the most sought-after beauty experts and celebrity makeup artists of the 90's. Magic is one of the most enduring legends of humanity. It's at the core of the esoteric traditions, it saturates the literature of religion and science, it has been severely suppressed for millennia, and yet fictional stories about magic are just as popular today as they've ever been. But is magic real? Author Dean Radin will present scientific evidence that the answer is YES and discuss the implications of real magic for a post-modern understanding of reality. Dean Radin, PhD, is Chief Scientist at the Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS) and Associated Distinguished Professor of Integral and Transpersonal Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS). His original career track as a concert violinist shifted into science after earning a BSEE degree in electrical engineering, magna cum laude with honors in physics, from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and then an MS in electrical engineering and a PhD in psychology from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. For a decade he worked on advanced telecommunications R&D at AT&T Bell Laboratories and GTE Laboratories. For three decades he has been engaged in frontiers research on the nature of consciousness. Before joining the research staff at IONS in 2001, he held appointments at Princeton University, University of Edinburgh, University of Nevada, Interval Research Corporation, and SRI International. He is author or coauthor of over 250 scientific and popular articles (some 80+ in peer-reviewed journals), three dozen book chapters, and three popular books including the award-winning and bestselling The Conscious Universe (HarperOne, 1997), Entangled Minds (Simon & Schuster, 2006), and a 2014 Silver Nautilus Book Award, Supernormal (Random House, 2013). Are some of the superpowers described in ancient legends, science fiction, and comic books actually real? Telepathy, clairvoyance, and precognition–are these inherent supernormal mental powers? Is it really possible to perceive another person's thoughts, influence objects with our minds, and envision future events? In this episode, I interview Dr. Dean Radin. He is Chief Scientist at the Institute of Noetic Sciences. For three decades he has been engaged in frontiers research on the nature of consciousness. He was featured in a New York Times Magazine article; and he has appeared on dozens of television shows ranging from the BBC's Horizon and PBS's Closer to Truth to Oprah and Larry King Live. IN THIS EPISODE, DEAN ANSWERS THE FOLLOWING: • Is it possible for us to have super powers like those in science fiction and in comic books? • What do you mean by “supernormal”? Why not use the word “supernatural”? • Why is there a big difference between Western culture and India concerning psychic phenomena? • Are telepathy, clairvoyance, and psychokinesis real? • Why are a lot of people cynical and uncomfortable about the possibility of “something more”? • How has technology played a factor as to why supernormal abilities have devolved? • Does everyone have these psychic abilities? • Are supernormal abilities able to be developed? • Have you had any experiences that would be considered psychic phenomena? • In the West, yoga is very trendy. But what's the essential goal of yoga? • What are some of the benefits of yoga and meditation? • How has Quantum mechanics falsified many of the current assumptions of science? • Are miracles in violation or in contradiction to nature? • Why are many scientists and scholars hesitant to address the idea of miracles? • Are mystical experiences hallucinations or do they reflect a truthful picture of reality? • What are some cases of levitation you can share? • Can you tell us about any precognition experiments? • Can you tell us about your psychokinesis experience? • Is there one experiment that stands out in particular that convinced you supernormal abilities? • Can practitioners meditating on peace and nonviolence literally lower crime and violence? • What are some of the limits of the scientific method? • How has the scientific community accepted you and your work? • Where do you see science headed concerning embracing psychic phenomena?
