How are you Victoria Myers: today? Hi, Chuck. I'm great. Thank you. Chuck Solomon: Can you please tell listeners a little bit about yourself and your company and your role at the company? Victoria Myers: Sure, and thank you for the opportunity to share a little bit about my story. I have more than 20 years in recruiting and talent acquisition. Way back when, and after 20 years, you don't, you don't count after that. It tells your age. But way back when, I started off in the agency side of recruiting, and I did a split desk of sales and recruiting. And then basically just kind of really felt that I liked the recruiting side of life more. I felt like it was it met an internal need of mine that I wanted to help people. And I felt like I was helping people find jobs. So that was very rewarding for me. So I just continued that path and then when I joined Amdocs about four and a half years ago, I joined as the North America talent acquisition manager, and I was leading the strategy and the team specific to filling all the open positions in North America. After about a year and a half, I had the opportunity to then move into a director level role, which is a, the regional lead over Americas. And for us, that means now managing the North America team, as well as the Central and Latin America teams. I had managers who reported to me and then they had teams. There was a whole structure to it. Then we really went on, on a quest of this would have been at the end of 2021, early 2022 of thinking through how do we want to grow? As a company, how do we want to grow within talent acquisition? So I led a little project team thinking through talent attraction and where are we today and where do we want to be in the future and what are the, what are the pain points and the gaps? And through that, we've made a lot of recommendations of how we wanted to improve. Do employees really care if it's AI behind a solution?
Do employees really care if it's AI behind a solution?
For nearly two years now, record high land sales have seemingly become a monthly or even weekly occurrence in the markets for agricultural acres — especially in the heart of the Corn Belt. As prices have continued to climb even as commodity prices cool and interest rates rise, many have started to question what factors are driving this white hot sector. And there are a lot of factors, from the classic indicators like location and soils to ones that are much newer, and less well understood. DTN's Victoria Myers joins us today to get into the weeds on what's driving farmland markets today, and what farmers on both buying and selling sides of the equation should be baring in mind moving forward. We'll talk about how genetics and other new technology are changing calculations about potential, as well as how shifting weather patterns are opening up old crop regions to new, and often higher value, crops. Then, we'll dig into the latest data from the USDA's annual Land Values report, and hear key takeaways about competition and insight on mastering emotions in the heat of high pressure sale.
For farmland owners who aren't interested in simply selling off heritage property to the highest bidder, exploring alternatives can be a daunting process — even when there is a clear farm family heir who's interested in continuing the business. The good news is, there are multiple options for property holders who are committed to avoiding development and keeping their land in agriculture — and DTN's Victoria Myers joins us today to explore exactly what some of the options look like. Today, we're taking a closer look at conservation easements, how to work with local and state land trusts, and what kind of financial and tax tools exist to help support these efforts. We'll talk life insurance, dive into the benefits and limitations of trusts versus limited liability corporations, and hear more about recent, and potential, updates to estate tax rules. Then, Victoria will give us some insight into her next set of stories on shifting farmland prices across the country
In this episode, we do our deepest dive yet into the fascinating field of segmented recruiting marketing. To explore this topic in detail, we are joined by Victoria Myers, the Global Lead for Talent Attraction at Amdocs. Victoria chose a career in the talent space because of her passion for helping people, and that passion hasn't waned one bit. During our conversation, Victoria explains Amdocs' forward-thinking, long-term approach to talent attraction and acquisition and how they are bringing it to life through their newly-developed AI-driven talent marketplace. After listening, you'll understand the difference between talent attraction and talent acquisition, what a successful proactive sourcing model looks like, and why you should always try to do work that you love! Key Points From This Episode: Victoria's approach to time management. Where her career began and the journey she took to get to where she is today. What inspired her to get into full-time recruiting. Why she chose corporate recruiting over agency recruiting. What her day-to-day work consists of as the leader of Amdocs' Talent Attraction team. Features of Amdocs' new AI-driven talent marketplace. The difference between talent attraction and talent acquisition. How Victoria and her team create warm leads for the Amdocs recruiting team. Characteristics of the Amdocs company culture. Metrics Victoria and her team use to measure the success of their talent attraction system. The journey of Amdocs' first hire through their new system. How Amdocs categorizes potential hires. The importance of providing comprehensive feedback to employees. Automated systems that Amdocs is planning to roll out in the coming months. The two different branches of Amdocs' long-term proactive sourcing model. The role of the talent strategy leaders in Victoria's team. Victoria's top piece of career advice. Victoria Myers is a non-diet registered dietitian and owner of the virtual private practice and online education center, Nourishing Minds Nutrition. Victoria and her staff specialize in empowering women to ditch diets, regulate hormones, heal digestion and learn to practice wellness without obsession. She is also the host of the popular intuitive eating and wellness podcast, the Nourishing Women Podcast. Her mission for her community is to help women let go of the unhealthy obsession with eating healthy, make peace with their body, and live their lives to the fullest. In our time together, Victoria helps us understand what orthorexia is, or the unhealthy obsession with being healthy. She also unpacks the concept of fatphobia, why it matters, and how diet culture has skewed our relationship with food and our bodies. In short, Victoria highlights how pursuing “health” so often gets mixed up in diet culture, often becoming a perfectionistic or obsessive pursuit. She then helps us get diet culture out of the way, so we can re-establish a harmonious relationship with food and our bodies. I hope that Victoria's insights and this conversation take you one step closer to doing just that.

Just a few weeks ago, a record-setting price of $26,000 per acre was paid for a stretch of Iowa farmland, representing the latest in what seems like an unstoppable upward trend in sales. There doesn't seem to be any ceiling for this market, and today, DTN's Victoria Myers joins us to discuss her recent story about America's new Land Rush. She'll walk us through the current trends in the market, who's driving it, and how individuals and organizations within ag and without are responding. Then, Victoria will bring us up to date on what might be ahead for the land market.
Earlier this year, meat giant JBS was forced to pay millions in ransom when a cybersecurity breach left data critical to their operation vulnerable to online criminals. Since then, otherorganizations, from cooperatives to pipelines, have also been attacked, and with more and more of agriculture's critical information being stored online, anxiety is growing. Today, DTN's Victoria Myers joins us to discuss her ongoing series on Cybersecurity in the ag sector, walking us through the hacks we've seen, how companies and law enforcement are responding, and what might be ahead in terms of future risk. Then, Victoria will bring us up to date on the best tips for keeping your systems and data secure.

Victoria discusses how GI issues (in general) can both cause and be caused by orthorexic tendencies, and helps us find clarity on this confusing topic. Amy admits to complying with protocols for illnesses she didn't have, and Victoria explains how intuitive eating is meant to help you eat with self-care, not self control and how it certainly can exist within a medical nutrition protocol.About Victoria:Victoria Myers is the dietitian and owner of the virtual private practice and online education center Nourishing Minds Nutrition. Are you familiar with dietitian Victoria Myers and her online education center Nourishing Minds Nutrition? I adore this woman and her holistic approach practicing wellness without obsession. In this conversation, Victoria explains what intuitive eating is (and what it's not), why she chooses body respect over body positivity, some basics when it comes to hormone health, why birth control isn't the enemy, and so much more. At one point during the show Victoria reminds us that our bodies know how to heal if we just let them. I love her encouragement to do less and keep it simple. Adaptogens are all the rage right now, and this is one of the few health trends that I’m here for! Adaptogens are naturally occurring, nontoxic plant substances such as herbs, roots, spices and even mushrooms that have been used traditionally by Aruvedya (the sister science to yoga and 5,000 year old practice of medicine in India), Chinese medicine, and in Northern European countries for thousands of years. While common in Eastern medicine and application, they are picking up in the West and we are going to explore in today’s podcast episode what constitutes a plant as an adaptogen, what they provide and do for the body, research surrounding them, why you may want to consider them for stress and hormone support and some of my favorite specific types of adaptogens. At the end of the day, adaptogens should be used in a fun, curious way to see if they benefit you and to consider as part of your wellness routine and/or healing protocol. They are not mandatory to pursue health, but if you notice a difference taking them, can be supportive to take to combat everyday stressors. Get Victoria’s FREE E-BOOK ON HOW TO EAT FOR HORMONES. As a women’s health dietitian and educator, I have been on the search for my official recommendation for a prenatal vitamin for quite some time, and I am thrilled to say I finally found the one, and actually a prenatal AND postnatal vitamin- that checks all my boxes. What’s so cool about New Chapter’s perfect prenatal vitamin is that it is fermented for better absorption with beneficial probiotics and whole foods, which also makes it easy to digest and gentle on the stomach- which if you’ve ever taken a prenatal vitamin you know that’s not always the case. Plus their new improved formula contains ginger to help combat morning sickness. It contains all the key nutrients your body needs for a growing baby, including methylfolate- which is the active form of folate I personally always recommend to my clients when they are looking for a prenatal*. And they also have a Perfect postnatal vitamin, which is what I am personally taking now. Its formulated specifically for new moms and our needs, to help us replenish nutrient stores from having a baby meaning its going to contain key nutrients like iodine, vitamin D, fermented iron as well as fermented B vitamins to support energy needs. What I think is so helpful is that it also contains herbs and plants that have been used traditionally for lactation like oats, kelp, chamomile and turmeric*. The body positivity/#BOPO movement is becoming increasingly popular... One question that health professionals, myself included, have asked, is "Does promoting body positivity mean promoting obesity or unhealthy behaviors?" There's also a myriad of fitness influencers/personalities beginning to use body positivity hashtags and claim the movement as their own... which can be problematic. Today's guest, Victoria Myers of Nourishing Minds Nutrition, is a Registered Dietitian who also speaks extremely eloquently on body positivity. She specializes in disordered eating, female hormones, IBS/SIBO, and body positivity. In today's show, we talk about: -The Body Positivity movement and what it means/why it was created, -Defining diet culture and how it impacts our lives, -Internalized vs. externalized fat phobia, -Thin privilege, -Body positivity and promoting health, -Why diets aren't the key to health, -Health at every size, -Recovering from amenorrhea -Coming off of hormonal birth control and getting normal hormone levels back, -Cyclic living, -Traditional foods, -So much more! This episode is FULL of wisdom and I can't wait for you to hear it. --------------- Find Victoria here: Victoria's Instagram Nourishing Minds Nutrition's Instagram Nourishing Women podcast Nourishing Minds Nutrition's Website Victoria's Website --------------- Find me here: Instagram Twitter YouTube My Website
Y’all may remember Meg Dixon and Victoria Myers from last week’s episode – which was part 1 of this two part series. If you haven’t already listened their previous episode (episode #70), I highly recommend checking it out. And because we talked about such a wide variety of things, it doesn’t really matter which one you listen to first. Together Meg + Victoria host of the one of my favorites the Nourishing Women’s Podcast. As registered dietitians these two powerhouses joined forces and founded Nourishing Minds Nutrition their virtual private practice. In this episode each of girls share their personal eating disorder recovery story. The morality diet culture attaches to food: you’re not a better person because of the foods you eat, and that we don’t have to fight to feel good. And how things don’t have to be pretty all the time for you to end up somewhere beautiful. IN THIS EPISODE WE DISCUSS: Victoria’s shares her eating disorder recovery journey Binge eating is almost always a result of restriction The influence of being in school for dietetics The idea of morality around food “your a better person because you eat better foods” Orthorexia and the dangers of this way of thinking […] The post LPP #71 You Don’t Have To Fight To Feel Good, Smaller Doesn’t Mean Superior, & ED Recovery – Part 2 with Meg Dixon + Victoria Myers appeared first on Liveng Proof.

Today I’m chatting with Meg Dixon and Victoria Myers, owners of Nourishing Minds Nutrition and hosts of the Nourishing Women’s Podcast. Both Meg & Victoria are registered dietitians who came together over their shared holistic approach to wellness and desire to help others. I love their philosophy because it aligns so much with my own beliefs. They look at the whole body and see nutrition as more than just calories. They believe in a lifestyle free from restrictions, rules, or the idea that our external appearance is a reflection of our worth. Their intention is to end the cycle of disordered eating, heal digestion, and restore hormonal harmony. At the heart of their practice is to empower their clients to nourish themselves from the inside out with real foods and self-love. IN THIS EPISODE WE DISCUSS: How empowered women, empower other women The importance of reconnecting with your inner wisdom & feminine energy Their advice to combatting messages of diet culture Owning who you are allows you to fulfill your higher purpose in this world Approaching life from a feminine perspective (without anger & frustration) → instead coming from a place of empowerment, support & community “Casting off” what we […] The post LPP #70 Empowering The Feminine, Liberalizing Your Food & Your Life – Part 1 with Meg & Victoria appeared first on Liveng Proof.

We're over 50 podcast episodes in and truthfully, I don't know why I waited this long to bring these two beautiful women onto the show. Victoria Myers and Meg Dixon are the pair that makeup Nourishing Minds Nutrition and the hosts behind the Nourishing Women's Podcast. They're easily the most bubbly fun-loving women I follow but they're also a huge wealth of knowledge when it comes to nutrition and holistic wellness. They're my intuitive eating soul sisters and kind of make me want to jump on a plane and move to St. Pete's Florida. On today's episode I wanted to bring Meg and Victoria on to chat more in-depth about eating disorder recovery, why calorie counting is archaic and how to get back to listening to our bodies. This is one of the most important conversations we've had on the show and I hope it can inspire everyone to live a bit more intuitively. This episode is all about cutting out the noise and the best ways to do that to get back to your body's individualized version of health. Here are a few other things we covered in today's episode: Meg and Victoria's journeys and how they met and launched their business Eating disorder recovery and what to tackle first when it comes to healing How to let go of calorie counting and why it's not accurate assessment of nutrition What is intuitive eating and how to learn to trust your body as a traditional eater Binge eating disorder and how to stop the binge-restrict cycle What is orthorexia and how social media perpetuates it Food intolerances and can you eat intuitively while eliminating foods? The Brain-Gut axis and how to know the difference between intolerances and anxiety Supplementation for nutrition and wellness Hormones and why so many women are struggling with hormone disorders Mentioned in this episode: Simply Organic special discount code for 20% off PLUS free shipping: maven18 Georgie from In it 4 the Long Run Chris Kresser Christy Harrison Megan Faletra from The Well Essentials Join The Healthy Maven Tribe to ask guest questions and to find out who will be on the show before anyone else! http://facebook.com/groups/THMTribe Please don't forget to rate + review in iTunes if you love the podcast. Gut Health, Why Calories Aren't an Accurate Measurement of Nutrition & Intuitive Living in an Office Job with Victoria Myers Today's podcast I sit down with Victoria Myers who is a Registered Dietitian specializing in hormonal and gut health. She's one half of the dynamic duo behind Nourishing Minds Nutrition and the Nourishing Women Podcast. Vicotria and Meg are traditional eaters and untraditional dietitians. Through their practice, they empower women to find peace with food, heal digestion & regulate hormones. I loved this conversation so much. Victoria is such a wealth of knowledge and she shares it with compassion. I love her approach to health, wellness, and healing. This episode is perfect for anyone who is struggling with gut issues and especially if they've previously struggled with disordered eating. We also dive into developing hobbies outside of food, living intuitively when you work in an office and have less flexibility and so much more. I didn't want this episode to end. Like with so many of my guests, I so dearly wish we were neighbors because I'm pretty sure we'd be FAST friends. We Talk About: Victoria's story - how she got into the work she's doing now as a dietitian with a private practice What her husband taught Victoria about intuitive eating Misconceptions about gut health Where to start when you know you have gut health issues The connections between SIBO and disordered eating Why food is a part of your health, but not all of your health When an elimination diet isn't right to heal (when it's right and when it might not help) Why holistic health CAN be part of intuitive eating Finding a middle ground between wellness and realness #wellnesswithoutobsession Why calories aren't a complete measurement of nutrition Why dieting causes our bodies to gain weight in the long-term Why binging and restricting go hand in hand Why stopping restricting is the key to stopping binging Why food is an awesome part of your life but not the only part of your life Other practices outside of food that support the healing journey How to deal with losing your “healthy” identity How slowing down can create more time You have to choose to slow down Fears about intuitive eating Dealing with weight gain Body acceptance versus self-love Intuitive living within a 9-5 make meal prep fun - bring options for enough food throughout the day If you work out in the morning make sure you're still prioritizing sleep Connect with Victoria Victoria's Blog Instagram Podcast Calorie Podcast Episodes - part 1 part 2 For Full Show Notes Visit: init4thelongrun.com
