Welcome to Roadcase!! We're simply elated to have Becca Mancari on the show this week. Becca has travelled many roads in her young life and is now a fixture in the Nashville music community. Her personal story is one of seeking identity, both from a personal and musical perspective, and one she is very proud to share. Having spent the majority of her time off the road working on herself and changing her own perspective, she is reaping the benefits of a renewed outlook on life; one of massive positivity and self-acceptance both of her own self and her relationship to the past -- and one that has brought her to a place of real optimism about the future and what she has to offer musically. While her most recent work from 2020, The Greatest Part, represented a change in sonic direction from her first album, Good Woman, Becca takes pride in presenting a level of positivity both for herself and for her enthusiastic and grateful audience. She is a true beacon of light, and we feel lucky to have her on the Pod to discuss her outlook, artistic direction and personal growth. So hop on the Roadcase bus and learn more about the multi-faceted and truly inspiring Becca Mancari. It's gonna be a great ride! For more information: https://linktr.ee/roadcasepod and https://www.roadcasepod.comContact: info@roadcasepod.comTheme music: "Eugene (Instrumental)" by Waltzer
Welcome to Roadcase!! We're super psyched to have Maya de Vitry with us for this episode. Maya's latest album -- her 3rd solo effort, Violet Light -- is a lovely folk/american album littered with amazing stories and intertwined with truths and insights about the human condition. Maya's first band, The Stray Birds, disbanded in 2018 and since then she has been working under her own name, creating sonic tapestries with gorgeous vocals and accompanying fiddle playing. Once Maya hit the road as a kid to busk her way across the country, she knew the road was the place she wanted to be -- and performing came naturally to her. Since then, she has developed a seasoned instinct and desire to turn on as many people as she can to her special brand of songwriting and lovely performance, surrounding herself with amazing musicians and friends along the way. So c'mon aboard the Roadcase bus for this journey across the virtual landscape with Maya de Vitry. Erin has been on an absolute tear since shows came back over the summer, playing at Red Rocks in support of Caamp, touring in support of Dawes the past Fall, performing last summer at Newport Folk, and is currently on tour in Australia with Courtney Marie Andrews. She'll also be on the road with Watchhouse coming up this Spring!! Erin is an exceptional human and spins deeply personal tales, weaving her own experiences into a gorgeous musical tapestry highlighted by her unique and extraordinary vocal talents.
