Dr. Eugene G. Lipov is a physician researcher and board-certified anesthesiologist who specializes in intervention-based pain management in the Chicago area. He is best known for his treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder using the stellate ganglion block - an injection-based technique that "seems to 'reboot' the body's sympathetic nervous system. Simply put, it's a localized injection to the neck that can immediately provide relief for pain relief, circulation, and notably, post-traumatic stress disorder - a one-shot injection that claims to nearly cure PTSD altogether. Having authored over 40 medical publications alongside his upcoming book 'The God Shot: A Breakthrough That Forever Changed Trauma Care' and having treated hundreds of veterans across a number of global military branches, it's safe to say that Dr. Lipov's work is on the very edge of what's possible in relieving PTSD in the veteran community. His work has saved countless lives of countless warriors, even including some of Mike's own circle of former operators. Are we at an inflection point in medicine, where we may soon find a real, genuine solution to post-traumatic stress disorder? Should we be embracing new language to de-stigmatize the term, shifting from PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) to PTSI (post-traumatic stress injury)? Episode 65: Joshua Macias: Can Veterans Be Made Whole Again? This week, The Feds podcast is joined by Joshua Macias, Navy veteran and founder of three organizations advocating for veteran needs, including housing. We discuss the ongoing epidemic of veteran PTSD (or, rather, PTSI  as he explains), suicide, and homelessness. Joshua talks about the contract between veterans and America, and how it has not been fulfilled. He hones in on the sense of betrayal that veterans and average American citizens may feel. Healing from these traumas, whatever form they may take, is achievable, and is the mission of Joshua and his organizations.  Following his honorable discharge from the Navy in 2002, Joshua had the same experience as many Veterans – he was a hardworking Veteran with a strong résumé, but no job. Now, as an expert in business systems, IT & Housing, Joshua founded END27 a Collaborative Non-Profit Program; On Your Six Foundation & Veterans For America First, a 501c4 grassroots advocacy network; and NetZero For Heroes, a For-Profit housing development company.

What an incredible gift Sarah U'Brien has in her ability to openly express her experience supporting her partner, former police and fire fighter, Matt U'Brien throughout the journey of managing the impact that PTSI has had (and continues to have) on their lives. Post Traumatic Stress Injury doesn't just impact the person experiencing it, it impacts those around them who love and care for them, every bit as much. The wives, husbands, partners, children, parents, family, friends. This conversation is one of only 3 amidst my 826 episodes so far that made me cry... and hey, you might want to grab a Kleenex yourself before you hit 'play'. Mental health and mental injury can make the world feel like a lonely and unfamiliar place, even in your very own home. Yet hopefully through people like Sarah who have found the words and resources to share their experiences and their insights, others can find hope, connection and resources to offer a light at the end of the tunnel. Today we hear about PTSI from the perspective of one loving partner & mother, and two young daughters, as they navigate what the changes and circumstances meant for themselves as individuals, for Matt, and for their family as a whole.   TESTART FAMILY LAWYERS Website: testartfamilylawyers.com.au SARAH U'BRIEN Instagram: instagram.com/Living_alongside_ptsd TIFFANEE COOK Linktree: linktr.ee/rollwiththepunches/ Website: rollwiththepunches.com.au LinkedIn: linkedin.com/in/tiffaneecook/ Facebook: facebook.com/rollwiththepunchespodcast/ Instagram: instagram.com/rollwiththepunches_podcast/ Instagram: instagram.com/tiffaneeandco    See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

PTSD and Trauma Among First Line Emergency Responders: Role of Mindfulness and Meditation. First responders—firefighters, police officers, paramedics, and emergency medical technicians—often face intense, life-threatening situations. Their jobs regularly expose them to traumatic events, such as car accidents, fires, violent crimes, and the deaths of colleagues or civilians. These experiences can lead to Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), trauma, anxiety, depression, and burnout. This amazing interview and his story is available as a free podcast available on our website, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and many other podcast platforms.  Josh Grandinetti is a career fire fighter and Fire Captain. He talks about how a firefighter's simple mistake during a car fire tragically resulted in a man's death. The passing of a founding member of their fire department further intensified the emotional toll, illustrating how trauma manifests differently in individuals within the same profession. And how those and other incidents had a profound effect on Fire Fighters and other first responders that were involved. Follow the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and most all social media platforms. Exposure to trauma as a first responder can lead to PTSD, or as I prefer to call it PTSI. PTSD symptoms in first responders often include nightmares, flashbacks, irritability, difficulty concentrating, and physical symptoms like chronic pain and headaches. The cumulative exposure to trauma can lead to emotional numbness, hyperarousal, intrusive thoughts, and avoidance behaviors. This can significantly impact their personal and professional lives, reducing their ability to function effectively. Therefore, it's crucial to acknowledge the severity of these issues and seek appropriate support to navigate the complex emotions and challenges faced by these professionals. The Unique Challenges of First Responders First responders are the first on the scene at critical incidents, which often involve life-threatening situations, frightening events, and extreme stress. Such exposures place them at a higher risk for developing PTSD, major depressive disorder (MDD), panic disorder (PD), and generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). The psychological toll of repeated exposure to traumatic stressors can exacerbate existing mental health conditions and contribute to diminished work performance, early retirement, substance abuse, and, in extreme cases, suicide. PTSD and Trauma Among First Line Emergency Responders: Role of Mindfulness and Meditation. The entire interview with him is available as a free podcast on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, our website or most major podcast platforms. The U.S. National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive defines "first responders" as those who are responsible for protecting and preserving life, property, evidence, and the environment in the early stages of an incident. This role demands not only physical preparedness but also psychological resilience. Be sure to follow the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast on  Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Newsbreak and Medium and numerous other social media platforms. The Role of Mindfulness in Managing Trauma Josh Grandinetti, a Fire Captain with the Eloy Fire Department in Arizona, is an advocate for mindfulness as a tool to help first responders manage stress and trauma. The Eloy Fire District, established in 1946, serves over 10,300 residents and is staffed by 35 full-time and 1 part-time employee. Grandinetti's journey with meditation began eight years ago and quickly proved beneficial in his firefighting career, helping him better manage stress and detach from traumatic experiences. Inspired by his own experiences, Grandinetti founded "Foundation Fortified," a mindfulness training organization specifically designed for first responders. The organization aims to provide mindfulness as a professional standard and a personal tool for those in the field. It focuses on teaching mindfulness as a trainable skill that can help reduce suffering, bring inner calm, and enhance clarity. PTSD and Trauma Among First Line Emergency Responders: Role of Mindfulness and Meditation.  Mindfulness involves non-judgmental awareness of one's moment-to-moment experience, which can help first responders manage the unique challenges they face on and off duty. This practice can reduce stress, anxiety, and the urge to resort to ineffective coping mechanisms .Follow us on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, MeWe and other social media platforms.  Articles about this are on Newsbreak and Medium. Foundation Fortified: Promoting Mindfulness Among First Responders Foundation Fortified provides training sessions, guided meditations, and materials to help first responders build a healthier state of mind. This training encourages the development of skills that can improve mental health and well-being, both in professional settings and in personal lives. By fostering mindfulness, first responders can achieve a sense of calm, focus, and resilience, enabling them to navigate their demanding roles more effectively. PTSD and Trauma Among First Line Emergency Responders: Role of Mindfulness and Meditation.  The organization recognizes that any new skill can be tough to learn, particularly for first responders accustomed to constant action and quick decision-making. However, mindfulness is a different form of training, one that begins with accepting that one does not always need to perform an action to achieve a result. It encourages individuals to release the impulse to act immediately and instead notice the changes that arise in the moment. This practice can help first responders develop a sharper, more focused mind and fortify it through continued practice. Spreading Awareness and Support Foundation Fortified actively promotes its mission through social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. My Journey to Recover from Trauma: Special Podcast Episode. John Jay Wiley was a guest on the Sexual Assault Survivor Stories (SASS) podcast, it is important to note that I have not personally experienced sexual assault, we delved deeply into the traumatic events I encountered as a police officer. We discussed the profound impact on me, my family, and my journey to recover from that trauma. Additionally, we explored my role as a patrol officer investigating sex crimes, which surprisingly triggered a significant revelation from Dave about his own traumatic experiences. The SASS podcast aims to provide victims and survivors of sexual assault and rape with valuable information and a forum for understanding the complexities, adversities, and victories of surviving and healing. It's not only for victims and survivors but also for learning about trauma-informed interviewing, the neuroscience of trauma and memory, understanding the victim impact of rape and sexual assault, recognizing the psychophysiological responses to interpersonal trauma, and developing healing strategies and best-practice responses. The primary goal is to help bring justice to victims and survivors by sharing experiences and spreading awareness, as we all know someone affected by sexual assault or rape. Over one-third of women have experienced rape, physical violence, or stalking by an intimate partner. Most victims of rape and sexual assault are women (91%), with the remaining 9% being men. Women are more likely to be assaulted by someone they know than by a stranger. Millions of American women have experienced rape, with young women at particular risk. As of 1998, an estimated 17.7 million American women had been victims of attempted or completed rape. Among juvenile victims, 82% are female, and 90% of adult rape victims are female. Women aged 16-19 are four times more likely than the general population to be victims, and college students aged 18-24 are three times more likely to experience sexual violence than their non-college peers. The interview is available as a free podcast on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, our website, or most major podcast platforms. Feeling afraid during and after a traumatic situation is natural. Fear triggers the body's “fight-or-flight” response, helping us avoid or respond to potential threats. People may experience a range of reactions following trauma, and most recover from initial symptoms over time. However, those who continue to struggle may be diagnosed with PTSD. PTSD can affect anyone, regardless of age. This includes combat veterans, individuals who have experienced or witnessed physical or sexual assault, abuse, accidents, disasters, or other serious events. Those with PTSD may feel stressed or frightened even when they are not in danger. According to the National Center for PTSD, a program of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, about six out of every 100 people will experience PTSD at some point in their lives. Women are more likely to develop PTSD than men. Certain aspects of the traumatic event and some biological factors, such as genetics, may increase the likelihood of developing PTSD. On this episode of "Flourish or Fold" I'm thrilled to share with you a conversation that could very well change the way we perceive and treat trauma. I had the honor of sitting down with Dr. Eugene Lipov, a beacon of hope for those affected by trauma and a mastermind in innovative treatment methods. As the Chief Medical Officer at Stella and an international expert on trauma treatment, he has devoted his life and work to unraveling the complexities of trauma and exploring groundbreaking treatment options. The Impact of Trauma and the Path to Recovery: Trauma is an insidious beast that can leave deep scars on both the mind and body. Dr. Lipov, with his extensive experience in trauma treatment, shared invaluable insights into how trauma affects individuals and the potential for reversing PTSD symptoms. One of the most enlightening aspects of our discussion was the stellate ganglion block procedure, a treatment that offers a beacon of hope for those suffering from PTSD.Understanding Trauma: Genetics and Environment: Dr. Lipov emphasized the importance of recognizing the genetic and environmental factors contributing to trauma. As we delved into this topic, it became clear that to develop more effective therapeutic options, we must first understand these underlying causes. His role at Stella is pivotal in advancing research efforts focused on trauma treatment, and his dedication to this cause is nothing short of inspiring.Stellate Ganglion Block: A Ray of Hope: The stellate ganglion block procedure is a game-changer in rapidly treating PTSD symptoms. Dr. Lipov walked us through the assessment process, the procedure itself, and the critical aftercare recommendations, which include psychotherapy, yoga, meditation, and dietary considerations. The duration of the procedure and the potential long-term effects vary based on individual factors, but the promise it holds for improving overall health and longevity is remarkable.Addressing the Root Causes for Long-Term Healing: Our conversation also highlighted the pervasive impact of trauma on individuals and the collective human community. Dr. Lipov stressed the challenges individuals face in seeking relief from their suffering and the necessity of addressing the root causes of trauma-related illnesses for long-term healing and recovery.A Mission to Change Perceptions: From PTSD to PTSI: One of the most profound moments in our discussion was Dr. Lipov's mission to change the name of PTSD to post-traumatic stress injury (PTSI). This change aims to reduce stigma and improve acceptance of the condition. He shared the process of submitting a request to the American Psychiatric Association (APA) and the importance of recognizing the biological changes in the brain associated with trauma. The Mind-Body Connection and Advocacy: Dr. Lipov's insights into the mind-body connection, including the psychological effects of an adrenal tumor, underscored the importance of this relationship in trauma treatment. He encouraged listeners to participate in a letter-writing campaign to support the name change initiative, highlighting the significance of letters and social awareness in advocating for this cause.Personal Experiences and the Inheritance of Trauma: Dr. Lipov opened up about his personal experiences with trauma, including a near-fatal snorkeling accident and the loss of his mother to suicide. These experiences have fueled his resilience and determination to assist others on their healing journey. He also touched on epigenetics and the inheritance of trauma, shedding light on the interplay between genetic predisposition and environmental factors.Connecting with Dr. Lipov and Supporting PTSD Awareness: For those looking to connect with Dr. Lipov and access trauma treatment at Stella, he provided information on how to engage with his work, including his book "The Invisible Machine" and an upcoming fundraiser for PTSD awareness. He also mentioned a song release related to PTSD, inviting listeners to explore various channels to learn more and support the campaign to eliminate stigma associated with trauma. My Personal Reflections on Trauma and Advocacy: As a survivor of PTSD myself, I understand the importance of reducing the stigma associated with trauma. It's crucial to recognize the physiological response to trauma as an injury rather than a disorder. I encourage everyone to support themselves and others in seeking treatment and to advocate for the name change to post-traumatic stress injury. In closing, this episode was more than just a conversation; it was a journey through the heart of trauma and the innovative approaches to healing. I hope you find it as enlightening as I did, and I invite you to join us in this ongoing dialogue to foster resilience and recovery.Connect with Dr. Lipov: Dr. Lipov invites you to connect with him through his website and on social media. To learn more about Dr. Lipov's work and to sign his petition to change the name of post-traumatic stress disorder visit: https://dreugenelipov.com/https://stellacenter.com/eugene-lipov-mdhttps://www.instagram.com/dreugenelipov/ Here are some highlights of the episode to look forward to:Genetic and Environmental Impact (00:00:00): Discussion on the impact of genetic and environmental factors in passing down trauma.Introduction to Trauma Treatment (00:01:41): Introduction of Dr. Eugene Lipov, Chief Medical Officer at Stella, and discussion on trauma treatment.Current Therapeutics for Trauma (00:02:53): Challenges with current therapeutic options for trauma and the need for more effective treatments.Discovery of Stellate Ganglion Block Procedure (00:03:57): Dr. Lipov's discovery and research on the stellate ganglion block procedure for treating PTSD.Potential Impact on Aging (00:06:04): Exploration of potential reversal of PTSD symptoms and its impact on aging and overall health.Recognizing PTSD Symptoms (00:07:24): Discussion on recognizing and understanding the symptoms of PTSD in individuals.Trauma Experience and Treatment (00:09:54): Personal trauma experience and the potential for treatment through the stellate ganglion block procedure.Understanding Normality and Resilience (00:11:02): Discussion on the perception of normality and resilience in individuals affected by trauma.Threshold for Trauma Categorization (00:13:30): Exploration of the threshold for categorizing experiences as traumatic and the impact of genetics and experiences on trauma.Stellate Ganglion Block Procedure (00:19:32): Explanation of the stellate ganglion block procedure and the assessment process for treatment.Aftercare and Longevity of Treatment (00:21:54): Importance of aftercare and the potential longevity of the stellate ganglion block treatment.Changing the Name of PTSD (00:25:32): Dr. Lipov's mission to change the name of PTSD to post-traumatic stress injury, focusing on reducing stigma. The Mind-Body Connection (00:31:53): Discussion on the mind-body connection, the impact of trauma on the body, and the significance of treating PTSD.Experiences Shaping Trauma Treatment (00:34:35): Dr. Lipov's personal experiences, including a traumatic snorkeling incident and his mother's suicide, shaping his interest in trauma treatment.Epigenetics and Trauma Inheritance (00:43:52): Exploration of epigenetics, genetic inheritance of trauma, and multigenerational transmission of trauma.Connecting with Dr. Lipov (00:47:51): Information on how to connect with Dr. Lipov, access treatment at Stella Center, and support the campaign to eliminate trauma stigma. The stigma of trauma (00:51:51): Addressing the stigma of trauma, changing the name of PTSD to PTS injury, and normalizing physiological responses to trauma.Closing remarks and gratitude (00:53:17): Expressing gratitude to the audience, encouraging sharing of the episode, and signing off as the host.

It's PTSI (itsptsi.com) Biological PTSD Treatment | SGB injection for PTSD | Stella (stellacenter.com) PTSD is an injury that can be treated. In psychology, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is defined as a response to experiencing traumatic or stressful events that create feelings of horror or helplessness. A neuroscience-informed view suggests that what has been called PTSD is in fact a biological injury that can be seen through brain scans. Though PTSD is a common term mental healthcare professionals use, Stella and others have suggested a new term – Post Traumatic Stress Injury (PSTI) – instead of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. By talking about Post-Traumatic Stress as an injury, we can reduce stigmas around healing. At Stella, we have a range of proven treatments for the symptoms and conditions associated with trauma exposure. While many mental healthcare resources highlight the 17 most common PTSD symptoms, there are actually more. In this week's episode, I am thrilled to welcome Dr. Eugene Lipov and Jamie Mustard to the podcast.Dr. Lipov is a complex anesthesiologist called the "Einstein of modern anesthesiology." President Obama endorsed his discovery and innovation, the Dual Sympathetic Reset (DSR), in 2010. His research has an 85-90% success rate in reducing the effects of trauma.   Jamie Mustard is an artist, multimedia consultant, and Iconist. His passion is to teach the science and "art of obviousness" and the economics of attention, helping professionals, change agents, artists, and businesses confidently and at will make their messages, brands, and ideas stand out to their desired audiences. Working for some of the biggest brands in the world, including Nike, Adidas, Intel, and Cisco, Jamie believes that art is a way to amplify and accelerate all social change. In their recently released publication, The Invisible Machine outlines how the root of trauma can be traced to a single piece of human hardware: the stellate ganglion and how the pioneering procedure of DSR appears to treat injury to the stellate ganglion, relieving even the worst symptoms of PTSI—irritability, hypervigilance, insomnia, and more—in a 15-minute treatment.Weaving hard science with moving human stories, The Invisible Machine reveals a stark new understanding of human pain and how this groundbreaking treatment was developed. It also tells the incredible story of the unlikely team, including the doctor, an artist, Special Forces leadership, and a sheriff, who work together to change our understanding of post-traumatic stress and why it matters to society.Coming out of a global pandemic, we are emerging from one of the most traumatic times in recent history. This surprising new treatment could have profound implications for medicine, mental health, and society at large.  The implications for a better, pain-free world are astounding—and that world could be nearer than we think. It has been my pleasure to have Dr Eugene Lipov and Jamie Mustard join me, and I know, my listeners, that you will enjoy the episode. Lisa is joined by Eugene Lipov and Jamie Mustard, the authors of The Invisible Machine: The Startling Truth About Trauma and the Scientific Breakthrough That Can Transform Your Life.  Lisa here.  I have done thousands and thousands of interviews in my 25 year career in television, radio and podcasting in the health realm and THIS BOOK and the TREATMENT it offers for POST TRAUMATIC STRESS INJURY (injury is more accurate than disorder) is mind blowing.    If you know ANYONE with the following issues, please have them listen to this interview:   PTSI (also known as PTSD) Anxiety Depression Trouble Sleeping Stress Impulsivity Sexual Dysfunction Suicidal Ideation Issues Concentrating Hypervigilance  Substance Abuse Numbness   Book description.  The world has long misunderstood trauma. Now, leading experts in the field have a radical new understanding of post-traumatic stress . . . and a surprising new treatment to reverse it could have profound implications for medicine, mental health, and society.  Despite its prevalence, post-traumatic stress, PTSD, is often seen as an unbeatable lifelong mental disorder. However, top trauma doctors and neuroscientists now understand that the result of trauma is not a disorder, but rather a physical injury—and while invisible to the naked eye, the posttraumatic stress injury (PTSI) can now be seen on a scan. Most importantly, the effects of PTSI are reversible.  Meet Dr. Eugene Lipov. His research and partnerships have led to an amazing discovery that all trauma has at its root a single piece of human hardware: the sympathetic nervous system, controlling the fight-or-flight response. Anyone who has endured trauma, including long-term microdoses of emotional stress, can have this injury. Dr. Lipov has pioneered a safe, 15-minute procedure that reverses the injury, relieving mild to extreme symptoms of PTSI—irritability, hypervigilance, anxiety, insomnia, and more—for survivors to combat soldiers to the everyday person.   Weaving hard science with moving human stories, The Invisible Machine reveals how this treatment was developed. It also tells the incredible story of the unlikely team, including the doctor, an artist, Special Forces leadership, and a sheriff, who are working together to change our understanding of post-traumatic stress and why it matters to society.  Coauthored by artist and innovator Jamie Mustard and in collaboration with writer Holly Lorincz, The Invisible Machine weaves hard science with moving stories of warriors, prisoners, and ordinary people to provide a stark new understanding of the human condition. The implications for a better, pain-free world are astounding—and that world could be nearer than we think.

He was afforded three (3) different platforms and ratings in his 20 year career. AW-Aviation Antisubmarine Warfare Operator, reflecting a specialization that was clearly born out of Cold War needs to monitor the activities of Soviet submarines. He was stationed in Lajes, Azores where the maritime patrol aircraft crews would gather intelligence by detecting, tracking, classifying, and analyzing both surface and subsurface contacts. OTA-Ocean Systems Technician Analyst, same premise and mission as the AW in him, but he got to do it from land based duty stations, Naval Facilities. He served at NOPF on Ford Island, HI. In 1990, more than 1/2 way thru his career he challenged the EOD physical fitness requirement because he exceeded the maximum allowable age limit, by almost a decade!!!!!! He "sailed" through the requirements and finally found his passion and jov of his career, EOD. He served with Mobile Unit 3 in San Diego until his retirement 26 years ago, 4/30/1997. He deployed on numerous occasions to regions you are all well to knowing of but had the biggest joy.

Over the course of 13 years, Marcus served through multiple combat deployments as a U.S. Navy SEAL until he medically retired in 2013. He and his wife, Amber, thought that life would return to "normal," when in truth, their struggle had just begun. Marcus was experiencing an ever-growing echelon of challenges, including depression, isolation, cognitive impairment, excessive alcohol use, headaches, insomnia, intense mood swings, and impulsivity. Marcus was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress Injury  (PTSI). Shocked by this discovery, Amber felt there was more to the story. After learning about the effects of blast waves, concussive, and sub-concussive brain injuries, a broader picture was painted. Marcus' military career as an explosives expert, combined with his prior years of contact sports, had left him with the seemingly invisible wounds of traumatic brain injury (TBI), a condition that has significant overlap with PTSI, and is often not properly diagnosed. Subsequently, they cofounded Veterans Exploring Treatment Solutions (VETS) with a mission to end veteran suicide, providing resources, research, and advocacy for U.S. Military Veterans seeking treatment with psychedelic-assisted therapy. This episode is about when we just can't seem to get back to feeling ourselves. Today's caller, Monica, has been injured by trauma over the last several years. She feels stuck and can't seem to recharge. She asks for guidance on how to get over it and on with it.   [For show notes go here: Christinehassler.com/episode393]   When we are not feeling like ourselves. It can be frightening. We need to remind ourselves that even though we don't feel like ourselves at the moment, we know who we are. When we have been through a lot of trauma, just because it's over doesn't mean it's over.   Time does not heal all wounds when it comes to trauma. Our nervous system gets unregulated. We get depleted. Our brain gets all scrambled. We get put into survival mode, and it is hard to connect to creativity, to other people, and sometimes to spirituality. When we are completely depleted and in survival mode, there are things that happen in our brains that make it impossible to do it. But, at the same time, we have conditioning that tells us we should be able to get over things.   But, whether it is trauma or transition, there is an in-between state when we want to get back to how we used to be but oftentimes there is a newer version of ourselves post-trauma, post-transition, that we don't know yet. That is a beautiful new version of ourselves. We need to give ourselves the grace, compassion, passion, support, and time to get there.   Christine is hosting her Signature Women's Retreat on October 10‒13, 2023 in San Diego, CA. To take advantage of the early bird special and reserve your spot, go to ChristineHassler.com/signatureretreat.   Consider/Ask Yourself: Have you had a rough couple of years and even though the storms are over you still feel that you can't get over it? Are you in a place in life where you're not really depressed but you're just not yourself? Have you been through a lot of trauma, or difficult times and you can't seem to shake it? Have you ever considered that you may have PTSD?    Monica's Question: Monica has had a difficult few years. She feels she has nothing left to give and wants to get over it and on with it.   Monica's Key Insights and Ahas: Several people in her life took their own lives. She was in a motorcycle accident. She owns her own business. She goes from crisis mode to crisis mode. She has been in survival mode for a long time. She judges herself for not being able to move on. She may have PTSD. She self-isolates at times and needs to recharge. She doesn't understand why she feels the way she does. She feels stuck.   How to Get Over It and On With It: Realize there is nothing wrong with her. Look for a trauma-trained practitioner that can help with nervous system trauma, such as EMDR. Do things that nourish her, like a massage, and replenish herself.   Takeaways: If you are suffering from PTSD or PTSI, reach out for help.
