What's your 'go-to' when things aren't working out how you thought they would? Does frustration take over? For me, being a planner and organiser by nature, frustration is definitely my 'go-to' when things aren't working out as I'd planned. The broken wrist In early December I broke my wrist while renovating a room in our home. Standing on a kiddie step to sand a cornice, I stepped off awkwardly and fell. I screamed. My daughter came running and helped me get up off the floor. Immediately I started planning how I could continue the sanding. I attempted to pick up something with my left hand - but couldn't. My daughter looked at my left wrist and said, "Mum, you need to go to the hospital." I started crying, all these thoughts going through my head, the waiting at the hospital, the thought of not being able to drive and the implications on all the plans around Christmas. I could feel the frustration building. Be Still moment Then I took a moment to Be Still and to acknowledge God, as it says in Psalm 46:10. I asked Him what He wanted me to do in this situation, and I had a sense of a 'Slow down Wendy' message (Obviously!). Choose to yield At that moment I could have continued with the negative thoughts about all I wouldn't be able to do due to this injury. But over many years of having many unexpected medical situations in our family, I've learnt enough from God to know that when He speaks it is best to quickly yield, receive and embrace His words. The "just do it" and in this case it was "Slow down Wendy". Yielding quickly Another key God has taught me to yielding quickly is thankfulness. Look for the things to be thankful for, as it says in Thessalonians 5:18, "Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." Thessalonians 5:18 NIV In the situation with the broken wrist, I was thankful that I could get up and walk - I didn't injure any other part of my body. I was grateful that I was now going to get the rest I needed - I didn't have to ask anyone's permission to stop! Now, the cast is off, the bone has healed, and I can drive again. There are movement and strengthening exercises to do but life is back to normal. But I am so grateful that for 6 weeks I had a slower-paced life. Frustration brings limits And I am so grateful for all the years that God has been teaching me how to yield and not let frustration overtake me. James 1:2-4 tells us that these trials we face have a purpose, "My brethen, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing." James 1:2-4 NKJV God matures us through our trials. But I must say, I find it really hard to "count it all joy" when I'm feeling frustrated. The frustration seems to take all my energy, so much so that it limits my ability to think and hear clearly. I can't hear clearly from God or other people who are trying to help me process the frustration. I need a circuit breaker to stop the moments of frustration turning into hours, days, months and years! The Circuit breaker With each trial I go through in life, complete with its frustration, something interesting happens - my understanding of God's trustworthiness grows. My ability to go to that place of "Okay, this is frustrating and annoying, but I am going to choose to trust that God has a plan and purpose here." has increased over the years and most times I can relatively quickly yield and go to the place of trusting God. Of course, sometimes there is still that wrestle and it takes a bit longer - I am a work in progress - and thankfully God is patient and kind. ... is trust! So my circuit breaker to being overwhelmed by frustration is - Trust! And not trusting in myself and my abilities, but trusting in God. Proverbs 3:5-6, I'm sure you know it, says, "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path." (NKJV) Trusting God with all your heart For me, as I said, learning to trust God with all my heart is a journey. It didn't just happen like the flick of a switch when I received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour, at age 24. No, it has been and still is a gradual process of letting go of my plans (difficult when a lot of my career was about project planning!); letting go of the trust I have in my wisdom and knowledge (ie I know best); letting go of being led by my feelings, and letting go of the expectations of myself. Basically, it is the process of dying to oneself, and as Jesus said to His disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me." Luke 9:23 NIV Surrender to His Ways The Passion Translation says it this way, "If you truly desire to be my disciple, you must disown your life completely, embrace my 'cross' as your own, and surrender to my ways." Luke 9:23 TPT Surrender. Letting go of my ways and following Jesus' ways. Trusting God. The catalyst for me to learning how to let go has been the trials of life, those trials that James talks about. With each trial that Jesus helps me overcome I learn more about His character. I grow in my understanding of just how trustworthy He is. And I learn more about my character and that my frustration at the circumstances I didn't like or want, is highlighting to me the areas where I need to trust God more. Getting frustrated? Trust God So next time you feel yourself getting frustrated at a situation or person, take a breath and tell yourself that this is the time to, "Trust in the LORD with all my heart, and lean not on my own understanding; In all my ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct my path." And perhaps if you haven't already, start writing in a journal about every time you make that choice to trust God and then record what the outcome is. It will become your book of personal testimonies to remind yourself that God is trustworthy. To find out more please visit drawingclosertogod.org

Prosecutors say they will seek the death penalty in the death of 7-year-old Athena Strand. The 7-year-old was taken from her family home by a FedEx delivery driver and was dead within an hour of her abduction. Authorities say a contract FedEx driver who was delivering a package to Strand's home kidnapped the girl. Investigators say Strand got off a bus around 4:15 p.m. and was missing from the residence at some point before 5:15 p.m. after an argument with her stepmother. An hour-long search ensued, but when Strand could not be found, 911 was called. Dozens of law enforcement and hundreds of volunteers joined the search effort. Police received a tip about the FedEx Driver Tanner Horner. When approached by police, Horner confessed. Police have not said whether Strand was sexually assaulted. Dramatic opening statements from both the prosecution and defense in the Alex Murdaugh murder trial as both attorneys laid out different versions of the same story. Prosecutors say forensics will prove Murdaugh, 54, killed his wife and son. Defense attorney Dick Harpootlian says however that there is no forensic evidence to tie Murdoch to the murders. Harpootlian suggested that the crime may have been the work of two people because of two different weapons. The rifle that killed Maggie Murdaugh has not been found. Murdaugh could be seen visually emotional as his attorney laid out in graphic detail the injuries Maggie and Paul Murdaugh suffered. Maggie Murdaugh, defense attorney Dick Harpootlian said, died running for her life, and Paul Murdaugh's brain was blown out of his skull. The bullet first went through director Joel Souza's shoulder before striking Hutchins in the chest, killing her. Amorer Hannah Gutierrez Reed is also charged. The man accused of kidnapping and killing 18-year-old Naomi Irion will stand trial. Troy Drive has been found competent to face charges. Driver is accused of abducting Irion from a Walmart parking lot. Police find the body of missing teen Naomi Irion after receiving a tip that leds them to her gravesite. 18-year-old Naomi Irion was last seen on security footage, sitting in her vehicle while waiting for the shuttle she takes to work at Panasonic in the Reno-Sparks area. The footage also shows a man walking from the direction of a homeless camp and lurking among the parked vehicles. Naomi's brother, Casey Valley, says that security footage seemed to show the suspect saying or doing something that made Naomi move from the driver's seat to the passenger seat. Irion was in the passenger's seat as the man drove away. Investigators later found Naomi's blue 1992 Mercury Sable at the Fernley industrial park. An autopsy revealed Irion was shot multiple times. Driver faces six charges in addition to first-degree murder, including sexual assault, robbery and destroying evidence. It's been over five years since two Delphi girls, Abby Williams and Libby German, were murdered near a popular hiking trail across Monon High Bridge. Today, law enforcement announce an arrest in the case as 50-year-old Richard M. Allen remains behind bars, charged with two counts of murder. The probable cause affidavit has been sealed, so evidence linking him to the crime is not yet available to the public. Allen has pleaded not guilty and is expected back in court in January. Police say the investigation is still ongoing and the tip line in the case will remain open. A 13-year-old Long Island boy dies after being struck by a hit-and-run driver. The teen dived to push his older sister out of the vehicle's path. Tyler Phillips was walking with his 14-year-old sibling, returning from a nearby park, when they were hit by a vehicle with its lights turned off. The suspected vehicle was a dark-colored 2005 to 2009 Chevrolet Equinox. New interrogation videos show Keith Papini's shock at finding out his wife's kidnapping was actually a hoax. Keith Papini described himself to investigators as "the idiot husband that stayed around the whole time." The 39-year-old mom was reported missing on November 2, and told investigators when she was found 22 days later that a pair of Hispanic women kidnapped her at gunpoint. Papini said her kidnappers abused her and then shoved her out of a car. Papini was emaciated, her hair was cut shorter, and she had cuts and bruises all over her body, but prosecutors said she caused the injuries herself. The case was broken in 2020 when DNA led investigators to Papini's ex, who told them she had been with him the entire time. Federal prosecutors charged Papini with 34 counts of mail fraud and one count of making false statements. Papini accepted a plea deal, but didn't explain why she created an elaborate kidnapping hoax, although she apologized for her actions. Since her arrest, Papini's husband has started divorce proceedings, Sherri Papini soon begins her jail sentence. In April 2020, Katie and John Palmer, walking in their Denison, TX neighborhood are struck from behind by an F-250. The couple is knocked about 75 feet. John Palmer, who suffers a broken back, crawls over to his wife, watching her take her last breath. The driver was later identified as Cory Foster, one of the Palmer's neighbors. Foster tells cops that fog and sun glare prevent him from seeing the couple. Cops push for a breathalyzer test and Foster blows a .06 BAC, but no blood test was conducted. House Bill 558 passed after Katie Palmer's death. This bill ensures that drivers are blood tested when involved in any accident that causes serious bodily harm or kills a pedestrian. The legal limit in Texas, is .08 BAC. After questioning, a trooper takes Foster home. A grand jury has twice declined to charge Cory Foster. The Palmer family has a civil suit pending against Cory Foster. A jury trial is set for October 17th. Esegiël 37:5 So sê die Here my God vir hierdie bene: Ek gaan gees in julle laat kom sodat julle kan lewe.

A Michigan mother with a history of driving violations is charged after her three children die when Letitica Marie Gonzales crashes her SUV into an icy pond. The Gonzales boys, all under age 5, drowned after being trapped upside down in their car seats, underwater. Gonzales was impaired at the time, under the influence of a synthetic opioid. The 30-year-old was charged this week with three counts of driving while intoxicated resulting in death. Gonzales crossed into oncoming traffic, hit a curb, and rolled her Chevrolet Tahoe onto its roof in a Holland Township pond. Gonzales was able to get out of the SUV, but her three children drowned. Gonzales has pleaded guilty at least four times over the past 12 years to driving without a license; she also has pleaded guilty to obtaining controlled substances by false representation, according to a local newspaper. A motion filed by the prosecution in the Chad and Lori Daybell cases asks that DNA testing be performed on items found the Daybell property. Those items: a shovel, pickaxe, the duct tape that was surrounding JJ's body, and also DNA testing on JJ's fingernails. What's at issue is consumptive DNA testing, meaning, when the testing is complete there is no more DNA for future tests. So, there is only one shot at it and that's the reason why the prosecution has waited this long to do it. A family vacation to Bali turns deadly. Sheila von Wiese-Mack is found bludgeoned to death inside a suitcase. The socialite's 25-year-old daughter Heather Mack and her 21-year-old then-boyfriend, Tommy Schaefer are charged and convicted by an Indonesian court. Police say Schaefer bludgeoned von Wiese-Mack with a bowl and then he and Mack stuffed her body into a suitcase and attempted to flee the scene. Heather Mack was pregnant at the time and gave birth to a daughter in prison. When she turned two, she was placed with a foster family in Bali. Now, Mack is back in prison this time in Illinois. Mack said she was nervous about returning to the States, and what could happen to her daughter, once she is exposed to the media attention surrounding her mother. A judge has ruled the girl will remain with the Indonesian woman who raised her in Bali. Kierra Coles was 3 months pregnant when she went missing in 2018. Now Chicago police have released new video of the postal worker. It is reportedly the last known images of the 26-year-old. The video shows Coles walking into her apartment. Hours later, she is seen getting into her car with a man. About 10:42 p.m., surveillance video captures Coles withdrawing money from an ATM inside a pharmacy. Police say Coles exited the business three minutes later. That is the last time Coles is seen. Police eventually questioned a man, identified as a ‘person of interest,' who is seen parking a vehicle outside Kierra's apartment. This person has not been identified by police, although Coles' family believe they know who it is. Officers say the man gave several different accounts of what occurred. Again, a person of interest has not been named and no charges have been filed in this case. Are police one step closer to cracking the unsolved murder of two teen girls from Delphi, Indiana? Liberty “Libby” German and her friend Abby Williams, were found dead near a railroad tressel, in a park where the teens liked to walk. That was almost 5 years ago. No arrests have been made, nor a person of interest named, but investigators have announced interest in a person using a social media account named “anthony_shots.” This person was attempting to talk with and meet underage girls around the same time of the killings. We now Know the creator of the profile is not the same person pictured on the account. Kegan Anthony Kline originated the account to solicit nude images from underage girls, obtain their addresses, and attempt to meet them. The profile image was stolen from a young male model. Police have not disclosed what connection, if any, this man has to the Delphi case, but they honed in on the site, just 10 days after the girls were killed. Police arrested Kline less than 40 miles from where the girls' bodies were found. Matthias Hollwich, Founder of HKWN Architecture, has long focused on designing buildings that foster human connection and generate positive emotions and memories. He describes his vision for the office of the future designed to create a more human experience, recognizing the cadence of workers' emotions, tasks, and other needs during the course of their workdays. Matthias explains how these offices will lure people back and support positive and productive experiences and interactions. KEY TAKEAWAYS [2:55] Matthias did not originally anticipate being an architect. [05:00] One of Matthias' high school teachers unwittingly set him on the path to New York. [8:00] Why Rem Koolhaas is such an inspirational architect for Matthias. [10:48] Matthias wanted to understand how buildings made people feel. [13:20] Taking part in a major competition Matthias' team's submission was a surprise last minute combination of ideas. [15:02] How people connected emotionally with ‘Wendy' their winning submission. [16:03] Memories are generated by a combination of familiarity, emotions, and novelty. [18:22] Architects were first to recognize that we need more than just cubicles and conference rooms at the office. [20:07] How can we lure people back to the office? We don't want to force them back. [21:48] For Matthias, the future office environment “resorting” comes from three mega trends: hub and spoke, hoteling, and longevity. [23:45] Matthias just won a competition to create the first ever “work resort' in the world and explains the goal. [26:22] Typical resorts create experiences. What would the work resort experience be like? [29:38] How the economics can make creating a work resort effective and affordable. [32:10] Matthias describes the buildings with personalities that visitors can interact with at the upcoming exhibition in Berlin. [34:31] People have agency in shaping their living and working environments. [36:35] Why did Matthias write a book about living smarter as we get older? [37:55] Matthias recommends visiting an assisted living facility or a nursing home for a day. [40:00] How do you design buildings with an older person in mind? [42:15] At each age milestone, do a review of where and how you live and look ahead. How will your environment suit your needs in the future? [47:45] IMMEDIATE ACTION TIP: Walk around your local environment, single out a building and consider what you like about it and how you would change it. You are the user, you are in charge! RESOURCES Matthias Hollwich on LinkedIn Matthias Hollwich on Twitter HKWN website HKWN on Instagram Shape Tomorrow Expo on Nov 19 New Aging: Live Smarter Now to Live Better Forever by Matthias Hollwich QUOTES “We did not create architecture, we created memories. And that was for me the big paradigm change.” “If you can create something so emotional that people connect to, it's magic that we can give to people. Suddenly they don't respond to that object anymore, it has a personality.” “When emotions are involved in your experience, it goes from short-term memory into the long-term memory.” “Now we can actually design buildings that really make it attractive for people to come there and have an incredible experience, which is about the corporate culture, the community and the experiences.” “Shape Tomorrow really is an invitation to interact with us as architects, so that people realize they have a lot of power in shaping their own environments.” “You have to look through the lens of older people, to be able to design things [for them]. So you have to really put yourself into the shoes of an older person.” “As the user, you're in charge, and you have the right to live in a city that serves you well.”

After weeks of speculation, we now know how Gabby Petito died. The Teton County, Wyoming, coroner, Dr. Brent Blue, says Petito's death is strangulation. Petito's boyfriend Brian Laundrie is a person of interest in her disappearance but has not yet been named a suspect in her death investigation. Although Blue made reference to domestic violence in his press conference. Brian Laundrie has been missing since September 13, two days after Petito was reported missing. He returned to his Florida home on September 1 without Petito, but with the converted camper van the couple had been traveling in on their cross-country road trip. Laundrie is currently the subject of a federal warrant alleging he accessed funds from another person's bank account, which he was not authorized to use, in late August and early September.Joining Nancy Grace Today:Wendy Patrick - California prosecutor, author “Red Flags” www.wendypatrickphd.com 'Today with Dr. Wendy' on KCBQ in San Diego, Twitter: @WendyPatrickPHDDr. Angela Arnold - Psychiatrist, Atlanta GA www.angelaarnoldmd.com, Expert in the Treatment of Pregnant/Postpartum Women, Former Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, Obstetrics and Gynecology: Emory University, Former Medical Director of The Psychiatric Ob-Gyn Clinic at Grady Memorial HospitaSheryl McCollum - Forensic Expert & Cold Case Investigative Research Institute Founder, ColdCaseCrimes.org, Twitter: @ColdCaseTips Joe Scott Morgan - Professor of Forensics: Jacksonville State University, Author, "Blood Beneath My Feet", Host: "Body Bags with Joseph Scott Morgan" Mahsa Saeidi - Investigative Reporter, WFLA-TV (Tampa), Twitter/Instagram: @MahsaWho, Facebook: "WFLAMahsa"See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Brian Laundrie's sister speaks to protestors outside her home saying she doesn't know if her brother had anything to do with Gabby Petito's death. Cassie Laundrie says FBI investigators have asked her not to make public comments, but that she felt she could no longer stay silent as the media disruption was upsetting her children. Brian Laundrie has been missing since at least September 14. The person of interest in Gabby Petito's death told his parents that he intended to hike in the Carlton Reserve, but he has not returned. Three days before he left, Laundrie's girlfriend Gabby Petito was reported missing by her family. Those knowledgeable with the rough terrain point out it would be difficult to survive in that area, which is now mostly underwater, for an extended period of time. There is no potable water and little dry ground to camp. Meanwhile, Laundrie's parents were followed by federal agents to a public library, where they hung out for a period of time, before heading to a meeting with an attorney.Joining Nancy Grace Today:Wendy Patrick - California prosecutor, author “Red Flags” www.wendypatrickphd.com 'Today with Dr. Wendy' on KCBQ in San Diego, Twitter: @WendyPatrickPHDDr. Angela Arnold - Psychiatrist, Atlanta GA www.angelaarnoldmd.com, Expert in the Treatment of Pregnant/Postpartum Women, Former Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, Obstetrics and Gynecology: Emory University, Former Medical Director of The Psychiatric Ob-Gyn Clinic at Grady Memorial HospitalJoe Scott Morgan - Professor of Forensics: Jacksonville State University, Author, "Blood Beneath My Feet", Featured on "The Piketon Massacre: Return to Pike County" on iHeartRadioAngenette Levy - Emmy-nominated Reporter & Anchor, Twitter: @Angenette5See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
As the search for Brian Laundrie continues, new details show the movement of Laundrie family. Neighbors tell FOX News that they saw Laundrie, and his parents pack up an “attached camper” and leave for the weekend shortly after the boyfriend of deceased Gabby Petito, returned to Florida. Meanwhile divers and search teams continue their work in the Carlton Reserve. Laundrie's parents told police he went hiking at the 25,000-acre park with sprawling and difficult-to-navigate terrain. The area has over 80 hiking trails and is currently, due to the rainy season, about 75% underwater.Joining Nancy Grace today:Wendy Patrick - California prosecutor, author “Red Flags” www.wendypatrickphd.com 'Today with Dr. Wendy' on KCBQ San Diego, Twitter: @WendyPatrickPHDDr. Jorey Krawczyn - Police Psychologist, Adjunct Faculty with Saint Leo University; Research Consultant with Blue Wall Institute, Author: Operation S.O.S. - Practical Recommendations to Help “Stop Officer Suicide” (October 2021) bw-institute.comSheryl McCollum - Forensic Expert & Cold Case Investigative Research Institute Founder, ColdCaseCrimes.org, Twitter: @ColdCaseTipsJoe Scott Morgan - Professor of Forensics: Jacksonville State University, Author, "Blood Beneath My Feet", Featured on "The Piketon Massacre: Return to Pike County" on iHeartRadioBen Dobrin - Virginia Beach Emergency Medical Services Marine Dive Team and Search and Rescue, Public Safety Diving Instructor, Trainer and Course Director, Volunteer Police Officer, Dean of the D. Barry Morphew will find out this week whether there is enough evidence proceed to trial in the murder of his wife Suzanne. During a preliminary hearing, Chaffee County Sheriff's Office Undersheriff Andy Rohrich testified that photos taken of Barry Morphew shortly after Suzanne's disappearance showed numerous superficial injuries, including cuts and scrapes on his upper arms that may be fingernail scratches. Barry Morphew also had injuries on the outside of his hands, but it is unclear if investigators believe all of those injuries were recent. Information also came out that Suzanne Morphew was having an affair. Investigators found two of three books in the Morphew home that are believed to have been important to Suzanne: A Bible and Alcoholics Anonymous book. Detectives were also advised to look for a journal. A North Carolina mother accused of killing her then 4-year-old daughter, forced the toddler's teen sister to help her bury the girl after she died, according to police reports. Charlotte-Mecklenburg County police found the body of Majelic Young in May, but the little girl died months earlier. Majelic's mother, 31-year-0ld Malikah Dianne Bennett, has been charged with first degree murder, child abuse, inflicting physical injury, and concealing a death.According to a warrant filed in the case, Majelic's 13-year-old sister told investigators that the toddler was forced to stand in the laundry room as punishment in August 2020. The girl was not allowed to sit or leave the room for three days — until she was so weak she fell out the back door and her head slammed onto the ground. The sister said Majelic's breathing was erratic after that, and she died on that day.Joining Nancy Grace Today:Lucille Puckett - Civil Rights Activist, NAACP Charlotte Member, Spoke with Victim's Father,Wendy Patrick - California prosecutor, Author: “Red Flags” www.wendypatrickphd.com 'Today with Dr. Wendy' on KCBQ in San DiegoDr. Jorey Krawczyn - Police Psychologist, Adjunct Faculty with Saint Leo University; Research Consultant with Blue Wall Institute, Author: Operation S.O.S. - Practical Recommendations to Help “Stop Officer Suicide” (July 2021) bw-institute.comDr. Michelle Dupre - Forensic Pathologist and former Medical Examiner, Author: “Homicide Investigation Field Guide” & "Investigating Child Abuse Field Guide", Former Police Detective Lexington County Sheriff's Department Karen L. Indiana police say they believe a 14-year-old girl who vanished a month ago is in danger and is likely no longer in the area. Aaliyah Ramirez, a dance student in Syracuse, was last seen leaving her home just after 8 a.m. on April 27, on her way to school. She never made it to the bus stop. A neighbor's doorbell camera captured the last known images of the teenager. Police have mentioned three areas where they believe Aaliyah could be — Marion, Indiana, about 70 miles south of Syracuse; Georgia; and Palm Beach County, Florida — but they've released very little other information. About a week after her disappearance, Palm Beach County deputies visited a relative's home there they did not find the teen. Marcus Anthony Eriz, 24, and Wynne Lee, 23, were arrested in Costa Mesa Sunday night more than two weeks after Aiden Leos was fatally shot in his mother's car. A 21-year-old pre-med college student was doused with acid, leaving her blind and disfigured. Nafiah Ikram, 21, was attacked outside of her Long Island, New York, home in March, in an incident that her family members believed had been planned. Security footage caught the act as Ikram stepped out of a car with her mother, just before the attack. While physicians aren’t sure if Ikram will ever fully see again, investigators are trying to determine who would do this to the victim. Ikram said she was likely targeted but has no idea why. Police said the suspect in the New York incident wore a black hooded sweatshirt during the incident and was holding a white cup. He stands around 6-feet-2-inches tall and has a “skinny build.”Joining Nancy Grace today; Nafiah Ikram - Victim, GoFundMe: "Help Nafiah, acid attack survivor, get justice" gofund.me/95699ed6 Sherina Mohammed- Victim's Mother Wendy Patrick - California prosecutor, Author: “Red Flags” www.wendypatrickphd.com 'Today with Dr. Wendy' on KCBQ in San Diego Dr. Jorey Krawczyn [KRAW-ZIN] - Police Psychologist, Adjunct Faculty with Saint Leo University; Research Consultant with Blue Wall Institute, Author: Operation S.O.S. - Practical Recommendations to Help “Stop Officer Suicide” (July 2021) bw-institute.com Karen L. A 6-year-old boy is dead after he was shot in an apparent road-rage attack in California. Kindergartener, Aiden Leos, was sitting in a booster seat in the back of the family’s car when another driver cut off Leos’ mother while they were in the carpool lane. She threw the other driver the finger in the rear-view mirror, according to police. As the mother merged into another lane, a passenger believed to have been in that other vehicle fired a gun, striking Leos. The mother pulled over to the side of the road on northbound State Route 55 in Orange, southeast of Los Angeles. She cradled the child as he died in her arms. Investigators are searching for the other vehicle believed to be involved in the incident. It appeared to be a white Volkswagen wagon sedan, and its two occupants, a man, and a woman.Joining Nancy Grace today:Wendy Patrick - California prosecutor, Author: “Red Flags” www.wendypatrickphd.com 'Today with Dr. Wendy' on KCBQ in San DiegoDr. Jorey Krawczyn [KRAW-ZIN] - Police Psychologist, Adjunct Faculty with Saint Leo University; Research Consultant with Blue Wall Institute, Author: Operation S.O.S. - Practical Recommendations to Help “Stop Officer Suicide” (July 2021) bw-institute.comDr. Michelle Dupre - Forensic Pathologist and former Medical Examiner, Author: “Homicide Investigation Field Guide” & "Investigating Child Abuse Field Guide", Former Police Detective Lexington County Sheriff’s DepartmentSpencer Coursen - Founder and President: Coursen Security Group www.CoursenSecurityGroup.com, Author: "The Safety Trap: A Security Expert’s Secrets For Staying Safe in a Dangerous World", www.TheSafetyTrap.com, Instagram: @s.coursen, Twitter: @SpencerCoursenKaren L.
