"Unifying World", un eveniment muzical în care muzica clasică întâlneşte jazz-ul. Despre concertul de la Bucureşti, care dă startul unui turneu în Statele Unite, vorbim astăzi în RFI360 cu Teodora Brody.  În 2023, Teodora Brody lansa albumul  'Rhapsody', înregistrat cu London Symphony Orchestra, sub bagheta lui Robert Ziegler. 'Rhapsody' aducea împreună prelucrări vocale în premieră după teme celebre din muzica clasică. Un album ce pornește de la Rapsodia nr.1 a lui George Enescu. ” Teodora Brody a profitat de șansa de a face o mișcare evolutivă în viitorul muzicii. Imaginația și curajul ei sunt admirabile”, au scris americanii de la faimoasă revistă Fanfare, iar spaniolii de la Ritmo au subliniat: ”Cu Bartók și dansurile sale românești, românca este în elementul ei, devenind un punct de întâlnire între trei forțe copleșitoare ale naturii: Bartók, jazzul și Teodora Brody.” Născută în România, în prezent stabilită în Elveția, Teodora Brody s-a pregătit inițial în jazzul clasic și a devenit cunoscută la sfârșitul anilor 1990 și începutul anilor 2000, cântând alături de legendarul pianist de jazz Johnny Răducanu. Teodora a fost pionieră în fuziunea jazzului cu Doina – creație lirică specifică poporului român – și este larg recunoscută pentru introducerea publicului internațional în lumea unică a acestui gen muzical, profund emoționant și personal. Căutând teritorii muzicale de explorat, Teodora a interpretat alături de muzicieni precum Stanley Jordan, Theodosii Spassov, Lars Danielsson, Johnny Răducanu, Les Paul, Curtis Fuller, Eric Legnini, Phillippe Duchemin, Guido Manusardi, Benny Rietveld, Daniele di Bonaventura, Ion Baciu și Al Copley. Today we're joined by Doina Precup, a research team lead at DeepMind Montreal, and a professor at McGill University. In our conversation with Doina, we discuss her recent research interests, including her work in hierarchical reinforcement learning, with the goal being agents learning abstract representations, especially over time. We also explore her work on reward specification for RL agents, where she hypothesizes that a reward signal in a complex environment could lead an agent to develop attributes of intuitive intelligence. We also dig into quite a few of her papers, including On the Expressivity of Markov Reward, which won a NeruIPS 2021 outstanding paper award. Finally, we discuss the analogy between hierarchical RL and CNNs, her work in continual RL, and her thoughts on the evolution of RL in the recent past and present, and the biggest challenges facing the field going forward. Doina Fischer was born in Switzerland, where she has competed through the upper levels, working with a German-Romanian military trainer. Gustul pentru domeniul fintech l-a descoperit după ce a lucrat în mai multe start-up-uri din această industrie în Marea Britanie. În opinia Doinei Chiseliță, pe timp de criză au șanse sa reziste acele companii care vor avea bani suficienți de la investitori și cele care vor reuși să-și adapteze produsele pentru a ramane relevante pe piața în schimbare. Tot din podcast mai aflați care este indexul global de adopție al tehnologiilor fintech, și cum se vor reinventa acestea pentru a face față noului context economic.

Pandemia de acum va schimba tot ce înseamnă călătorii și formatul existent în domeniu. Doina Ioanid s-a născut la 24 decembrie 1968, în București. A absolvit Facultatea de Litere a Universității București în 1995 și cursurile de Master (Studii Culturale Franceze) la Facultatea de Limbi și Literaturi Străine a aceleiași universități, în 1998. A publicat poeme în volumul colectiv Ferestre '98, girat de Mircea Cărtărescu, Editura Aristarc, Onești, 1998, împreună cu Ioana Vlasin, Cecilia Ştefănescu, Marius Ianuș, Angelo Mitchievici, Iulian Baicus și Victor Nichifor. A participat la volumul experimental 40238 Tescani, Editura Image, București, 2000 (alături de Ioana Nicolaie, Marius Ianuș, Domnica Drumea, Angelo Mitchievici, Mircea Cărtărescu, Cecilia Ştefănescu și Florin Iaru). A debutat individual cu un volum de poeme în proză: Duduca de marțipan, Editura Univers, București, 2000 (Premiul de debut „Prima Verba“). Figuring out how to balance the needs of communities, corporations and ecosystems may well be the most important sustainability challenge of the 21st Century. This week, we talk with Jeff Connelly, VP of General Electric’s Global Supply Chain and Water and Process Technologies Division, about the technological solutions being implemented in order to conserve and recycle the earth’s most valuable resource.
