Morning and Evening with Charles Spurgeon

“Looking unto Jesus.” — Hebrews 12:2 It is ever the Holy Spirit's work to turn our eyes away from self to Jesus; but Satan's work is just the opposite of this, for he is constantly trying to make us regard ourselves instead of Christ. He insinuates, “Your sins are too great for pardon; you have […]

Welcome back, my love, to Made for Impact. In today's raw and real solo episode, I'm opening up about something I've been sitting with lately—what I call “the sticky middle.” It's that in-between season where you're no longer who you used to be, but not quite yet where you're going… or who God is calling you to become. Whether you're pivoting in your business, stepping deeper into motherhood, or redefining your identity through faith, this episode is for you. I'm sharing: ✨ What it feels like to leave behind an old identity (even one that was successful) ✨ The personal wrestle between hustle and Holy Spirit–led surrender ✨ Why I'm following new nudges, including a surprise announcement about a natural fertility certification ✨ How to keep moving forward even when you don't have the full picture ✨ Why God works with movement, not perfection This isn't about the highlight reel. It's about the sacred process—the pause, the pivot, the pruning. So if you're in the sticky middle too—unsure, slow, messy, but still showing up—this one's for you. I pray it encourages you to keep walking, one faithful step at a time. Resources & Mentions:

Tabula Rasa Mystery School – Day 17: Love Beyond LabelsWhat if life as we know it is just a cleverly animated illusion? Today, we explore a metaphysical comedy movie—not just for laughs, but to uncover the deeper truth behind reincarnation, identity, and the ego's sleight of hand.David Hoffmeister and Urpi Milla take us to look at how the ego fabricates time, roles, and guilt by animating still images, just like Walt Disney did with Mickey Mouse. But unlike cartoons, this illusion convinces us that Spirit can enter matter, that we are born into bodies, and that our worth is tied to behavior.Through humor and insight, we'll unravel the ego's fragmented world of names, roles, and hierarchies. The real path to peace? Seeing the world without labels, like petals floating freely in the wind.Join us as we laugh our way out of the illusion and back into eternity. For more information about David Hoffmeister and Living Miracles events, visit https://circle.livingmiraclescenter.org/events.Recorded live on June 17, 2025, at Casa de Milagros, Chapala, Mexico.

The Drive - A Daily Devotional by Pastor Mike Sternad

Send us a textActs 15:5-21But some believers who belonged to the party of the Pharisees rose up and said, “It is necessary to circumcise them and to order them to keep the law of Moses.”The apostles and the elders were gathered together to consider this matter. And after there had been much debate, Peter stood up and said to them, “Brothers, you know that in the early days God made a choice among you, that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the word of the gospel and believe. And God, who knows the heart, bore witness to them, by giving them the Holy Spirit just as he did to us, and he made no distinction between us and them, having cleansed their hearts by faith. Now, therefore, why are you putting God to the test by placing a yoke on the neck of the disciples that neither our fathers nor we have been able to bear? But we believe that we will be saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, just as they will.”And all the assembly fell silent, and they listened to Barnabas and Paul as they related what signs and wonders God had done through them among the Gentiles. After they finished speaking, James replied, “Brothers, listen to me. Simeon has related how God first visited the Gentiles, to take from them a people for his name. And with this the words of the prophets agree, just as it is written,“‘After this I will return, and I will rebuild the tent of David that has fallen;I will rebuild its ruins, and I will restore it,that the remnant of mankind may seek the Lord, and all the Gentiles who are called by my name, says the Lord, who makes these things known from of old.'Therefore my judgment is that we should not trouble those of the Gentiles who turn to God, but should write to them to abstain from the things polluted by idols, and from sexual immorality, and from what has been strangled, and from blood. For from ancient generations Moses has had in every city those who proclaim him, for he is read every Sabbath in the synagogues.”Support the show

If you are interested in the Daily Bible Devotional, you can find it at the links below:Amazon - (paperback, hardcover, and Kindle)Spiritbuilding.com - (premium quality paperback)Youtube Video Introducing the ContentFeel free to reach out with any questions: emersonk78@me.comRomans 8 There is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus, as the Spirit frees believers from the law of sin and death. What the law could not do, Christ accomplished by condemning sin through His sacrifice. In reverence to Jesus, believers turn away from a life in the flesh, which leads to death. Instead, they embrace life in the Spirit, which brings peace and righteousness. The Spirit empowers believers to overcome sin and affirms their adoption as God's children, assisting them in their times of weakness and granting them the hope of sharing in Christ's glory. Suffering in this life is temporary and incomparable to the glory that is to come. From now through eternity, nothing can separate Christians from the love of God, “which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”  We must live with confidence and hope in Christ. We are no longer condemned because the Spirit frees us from sin and guides us into righteousness. This means we should not accept the sins of the flesh in our lives but rather seek to walk in holiness daily, being led by the Spirit of God. Our identity as God's children assures us of His love and gives us hope amid suffering. Life's trials are temporary compared to the eternal glory we will share with Christ. We can confront challenges knowing that God is working all things for the good of those who love Him. And God's love through Christ will never fail us, abiding in life and beyond death.  Heavenly Father, thank You for freedom from condemnation in Your Son. Thank You for the Holy Spirit, who gives life and guides us toward greater faithfulness to You. Help us never to quench the Spirit but to read His revelations daily and embody His fruit in our lives. We resolve each day to focus on spiritual matters and to flee the temptations of the flesh. We also ask for Your forgiveness when we stumble. We love You and know that hope is found only in You. Thank You for Your limitless love and for sustaining us during life's many trials. Thought Questions: -       What does living according to the Spirit rather than the flesh mean, and how do you initiate that decision every morning? -       How does the promise that “all things work together for good” shape your understanding of hardships and suffering? -       Do you “overwhelmingly conquer” through Him who loves you? What does that look like in practical terms and daily living?

Gospel Luke 15:3-7 Jesus addressed this parable to the Pharisees and scribes: "What man among you having a hundred sheep and losing one of them would not leave the ninety-nine in the desert and go after the lost one until he finds it? And when he does find it, he sets it on his shoulders with great joy and, upon his arrival home, he calls together his friends and neighbors and says to them,      'Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep.' I tell you, in just the same way there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who have no need of repentance.” Reflection The Kingdom of God is more about finding something lost than perfection. What is lost is an awareness, an experience of God inside of us. God living in us, his Holy Spirit resonating life and love and goodness to the world. The one person to see that is more important than 99 who are just doing things that they're told to do, is much more than doing what you're told, it is about receiving what you need, and even more frightening, what you may have lost. Closing Prayer The image of Jesus carrying the sheep on his shoulders is a beautiful image of the care that God wants to give to each of us. When we wander, when we're in danger, he's there. And he's there to care for us, carry us, show us the way. Help us to trust in this good shepherd. And we ask this in Jesus' name, Amen. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

The discussion draws insights from the Last Supper and Jesus' entry into Jerusalem, highlighting the tension between his spiritual message and the people's expectations, who sought a political savior. It also explores the themes of sacrifice, the misunderstandings surrounding Jesus' identity, and the universal call to remember our true nature beyond ego-driven fears. The session concludes by reflecting on the relevance of Jesus' teachings today, as they call for a shift in perception towards love and forgiveness. For more information about David Hoffmeister and Living Miracles events, visit https://circle.livingmiraclescenter.org/events.Recorded live on June 16, 2025, at Casa de Milagros, Chapala, Mexico.

As a Jesus Follower, Go to God in Your Fear and Anxiety Because Jesus Says: “do not be anxious about tomorrow” MESSAGE SUMMARY: Your problems are not too big for God; God is faithful. Your financial issues, your debt, your health issues, and your sins are not too big for God. God is faithful, and He is trustworthy. Why not take, to God, all those things in your life that are creating anxiety? In Psalms 9:9-10, the Psalmist encourages you to put your trust in God: “The LORD is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek you.". Also, Jesus tells us, in Mathew. 6:33-34, that you can put our trust in Him and not be anxious about your problems: “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”. Our God is a faithful God – reach out to God when fear and anxiety are taking a firm hold on your life.     TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord, fill me with the simple trust that even out of the most awful evil around me, you are able to bring great good — for me, for others, and for your great glory. In Jesus' name, amen.     Scazzero, Peter. Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Day by Day (p. 91). Zondervan. Kindle Edition. TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, because of I am filled with the Holy Spirit, I will not be controlled by my Insensitivity. Rather, I will walk in the Spirit's fruit of Gentleness. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22f). Wooten, making his debut as the play of the day on FriDudes.  NPHX not your debut yet major kudos for having that strong man speak.  I strongly encourage you to listen to the rest of that message, which can be found at this link in the show description...https://youtu.be/5bneMdVZHxM?si=nhoBZHQ4eDIFhkHGWays of the world will judge and say what is toxic.  Toxic masculinity?  You know what I call toxic?  Saying that if you are a certain gender or race that you are automatically toxic.  That is discrimination.  The Dr. Reverend Martin Luther King Jr., a black life with whom we celebrate and even honor with a national holiday says, "Let us select by content of character...not by color of skin.".  Gender can apply to that statement too."I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character." Didn't we just have an episode on about not judging?  Yes!  And I so appreciate MLK Jr.'s words.  If we are to be judged, let it not by something trivial like skin color or gender, etc.  Character.  ISo let's get real and pursue some truth more.  We know the danger verse of judging (if not, back up one episode).  We know that verse that we are all flawed...Rom 3:23.  So we know there is no perfect character.  Yet we also know there are stronger characters than others.  We know a stronger character will show fruits of the spirit...Galatians 5:22 NLTBut the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulnessNLT: New Living Translationhttps://www.bible.com/bible/116/gal.5.22So a Strong Man = Strong Character.  Same with a strong woman.  Think about your favorite people.  Do you love people that take advantage of you or treat you with respect, the fruits mentioned above with character?  Yes, I love rhetorical questions.  Confession, at times, I have not been a Strong Man.  Avid listener, you know my dirt....if not back up, perhaps even to episode 1...if you dare.  Yet a Strong Man will confess in order to be healed, James 5:16.  A strong man will turn where needed and correct what can be corrected.  In progress right now.Are you worthy to be served/submitted?  Many religious like to point out wives submit to your husbands.  Not many point how it opens in Ephesians 5.  21 And further, submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.  Eph 5:21https://www.bible.com/bible/116/EPH.5.NLTConfession, it is much easier to serve one another when we have our A games.  However, on the days we don't, what did/does your Jesus Christ do for you?  Does he forgive you?  If you believe and choose John 3:16 and Rom 8:1, then, yes, absolutely.  That's a Strong and Amazing Grace Savior.Matt 22: 36-40

Treasure Hunt #RTTBROS #NightlightTreasure Hunt #RTTBROS #Nightlight Treasure Hunt: The Search for Wisdom"If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God." Proverbs 2:45 (KJV)In November 1922, after six grueling years of excavation in Egypt's Valley of the Kings, archaeologist Howard Carter made a discovery that would captivate the world. With trembling hands, he peered through a small hole into the darkness and famously whispered, "I see wonderful things." Behind that ancient doorway lay the virtually intact tomb of Tutankhamun, filled with treasures beyond imagination.Carter's quest had been marked by relentless persistence. Season after season, he had endured the scorching desert heat, financial pressures, and mounting skepticism from critics who believed the valley held no more secrets. Yet Carter pressed on, convinced that somewhere beneath the shifting sands lay a prize worth every sacrifice. How remarkably this mirrors our spiritual journey in seeking divine wisdom! God has not hidden His treasures in some distant, unreachable realm. Instead, He has graciously placed them within our reach in the pages of Scripture, particularly in the wisdom literature of the Old Testament. The books of Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and Job contain riches more valuable than all of Pharaoh's gold.Yet like Carter's archaeological dig, the pursuit of wisdom requires persistent effort. The casual reader may glimpse only surface truths, but those who dig deeper, who study, meditate, and apply God's Word with the same determination Carter showed in the desert—will uncover treasures that transform their lives.Consider the persistence required in both quests. Carter didn't abandon his search after the first unsuccessful season, nor should we abandon our study of Scripture after a difficult passage or a dry season in our spiritual lives. Just as Carter methodically sifted through sand and debris, we must carefully examine each verse, each principle, allowing the Holy Spirit to illuminate truths that might otherwise remain buried. The wisdom literature of the Old Testament offers us practical guidance for daily living, insights into human nature, and profound understanding of our relationship with the Almighty. These treasures don't reveal themselves to the hurried or superficial seeker. They require the same patient excavation that Carter employed in his earthly quest. When Carter finally entered Tutankhamun's burial chamber, he found not just gold and jewels, but artifacts that revealed the beliefs, customs, and aspirations of an ancient civilization. Similarly, when we persistently search the Scriptures, we discover not merely moral teachings, but the very heart and character of God Himself. The riches Carter found were temporary, museum pieces that fascinate but cannot transform. The wisdom we uncover in God's Word, however, has the power to change our hearts, guide our decisions, and prepare us for eternity. As the wise man wrote, "Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold" (Proverbs 3:1314).Let us approach our Bibles with the same excitement and anticipation that filled Howard Carter as he searched the Valley of the Kings. God's treasures await our discovery, but they require our diligent seeking. Unlike earthly treasures that may be stolen or decay, the wisdom we gain from Scripture becomes part of our eternal inheritance.Be sure to Like, Share, Follow and subscribe it helps get the word out.https://linktr.ee/rttbros

She posits that the true threat to familial peace may not be external societal pressures but rather the screens that dominate our daily lives. Through her insights, Mary Kathryn offers invaluable strategies aimed at reclaiming harmony within households and enhancing interpersonal connections that have been compromised by digital distractions. As we navigate this complex terrain, it becomes imperative to consider the holistic development of our children and the nurturing of an environment where the Holy Spirit reigns supreme over the pervasive influence of technology.Takeaways:In the pursuit of reclaiming familial peace, we must address the pervasive issue of digital addiction that currently afflicts numerous households across our society.Mary Kathryn Lysinski emphasizes the importance of preparation before implementing restrictions on screen time to ensure a smoother transition and avoid familial conflict. It is crucial for parents to recognize the signs of digital addiction in their children, such as withdrawal from social interactions and declining academic performance. The psychological ramifications of excessive screen time can manifest as symptoms resembling ADHD, thereby significantly impairing a child's ability to focus and engage meaningfully with their environment. We must be vigilant in observing how screen usage affects the emotional health of our youth, as many are exhibiting signs of depression and anxiety in unprecedented numbers. The conversation surrounding digital addiction is not solely a personal family issue; it is a collective societal concern that necessitates our urgent and concerted action.CONTACT INFORMATION: Email: coach@lifewalkpc.com Website: https://Lifewalkcoaching.com _____________________________________________Check Out These Amazing LinksPastor Bob "HIGHLY" recommends "Captivate.FM" as YOUR podcast host! Today, on Karl and Crew, we continued our weekly theme of “Transformational Tools” by discussing how Christ-centered resources and information can catalyze our spiritual growth with Jesus. Our spiritual lives can flourish when we understand and distinguish the three key buckets of spiritual priority in connection to the Trinity: Humility before God, Proximity to Jesus, and Liberty of the Holy Spirit. Karl explained the three buckets and referenced 1 Peter 5:6, John Chapter 14-16, and Romans 8 to support it. Loren La Luz also joined us to discuss the ministry he co-founded, Streetlights. This ministry is a group of Creative Communicators who are called to intentionally engage global urban culture with the Gospel of Jesus Christ by producing, translating, teaching, and proclaiming God’s Word. Loren works as the Executive Director for Streetlights, and he also travels alongside his team of musicianaries, as the drummer, sharing the Gospel through the art of live music. We then had Dr. Nick Gatzke join us to share about a trip to Ireland. This trip is intended to be a time of fellowship for Moody Radio listeners and will be guided by Dr. Gatzke. There is limited space for the trip. For more information, please visit the website. Dr. Gatzke is the Senior Pastor of Old North Church, and he also hosts the Moody Radio Program, “A Better Word.” You can hear the highlights of today’s program on the Karl and Crew Showcast.
