Well hello there everybody, and welcome back to another exciting episode of Trophy Talk. This month we're back to basics with just Colin and Josh so grab a beer , settle in and join them in some long and winding discussions surrounding a cadre of gaming topics. As we do these shows on a monthly cadence now a lot can happen between episodes, and this was definitely the case over the last four week period. Not only did we have the major reveal of Bungie's new extraction shooter Marathon, but we were also greeted with a shadow drop of a beloved 360 era RPG Oblivion, a full state of play on Borderlands 4, and a new trailer and firmed in release date for Sucker Punch's Ghost of Yotei. It truly is a wonderful year to be a gamer, (price increases on hardware and software withstanding). So, as this is a lot of news, and a lot of potential trophy lists and Platinums to earn we naturally spend some time talking about all of these reveals. Perhaps most relevant to all of us though, is that Oblivion now has a Platinum trophy, and one that seemingly doesn't look to difficult to obtain. Oblivion Remaster boasts the kind of list that allows you to play the game how you want to, as any class, race or skill build and still be able to earn the Platinum. While some people may find this type of list to easy, Colin and Josh feel like it's right at home in the open world RPG genre. After our news related topics and discussions we of course jump in to what we've been playing. Josh waxes poetic about a few games on the Xbox side (with parody in PSN trophy lists) as well as continuing to defend his Brick Master title with The Lego Movie 2 Videogame. Colin continues his hiking journey across the post-apocalyptic United States in Death Stranding (and still absolutely loves it even after 60 hours), and dabbles back with an old classic in Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance. Lastly of course we have our Discord / Patreon write ins as well as our Platinum shout outs. We cover a good deal of topics in this episode with some really great conversation, even if we do go on tangents from time to time. Regardless, we hope that you all enjoy the episode. [School of Movies 2025] The first Dungeons & Dragons movie emerged in the year 2000, wildly underachieving in every department; characters, story, screenplay, costumes, technical proficiency, directorial flair, casting, scope, music, awareness of what it was adapting, sense of humour and dragons! All of these things were straight-to-video grade. It was, in effect the anti-Lord of the Rings, a year before that masterpiece-containing-masterpieces raised the bar impossibly high. 23 years later, on the 49th anniversary, Honour Among Thieves emerged to empty theatres for various reasons I will be going into in my opening monologue. Among other notions broached, there is an imperative upon us to redefine success. And our packed adventuring party are all here to do just that, and gush about this hidden gem, this buried treasure that knocks it out of the park in all the departments named above. The other day someone asked me what an abundance mindset meant to me. Honestly, it made me roll my eyes. I was thinking, “Here we go. One of these manifest your future guys.” I know this isn't going to set well with a percentage of chiropractors, but I'm going to say it anyway. The law of attraction is stupid. You aren't God. You aren't a little god. You don't create the world around you with your thoughts. You don't manifest anything. There…I said it. It felt good, too. Now, don't get me wrong. I know mindset is important. How you think impacts how you act. How you act impacts your life. So in that sense, mindset does impact your life, but only as much as it impacts your actions. If you could only pick one, I would tell you to get your habits right before worrying about getting your mind right. I don't particularly care how you feel about the task at hand, positive habits will move the needle regardless of how you feel. A positive mindset alone is of little value. There is no scenario where you can think yourself into the life of your dreams. Sooner or later, you are going to have to put the rubber to the road…pen to paper. If you want to change your life, you are going to have to work for it. With that said, it's easier to have good habits when you have a good attitude. A positive mindset can give you the energy and motivation needed to work hard. A positive mindset may help you stay the course at times when you might have otherwise quit. That's why the best-case scenario for your success is for you to have positive habits AND a positive mindset. They work hand-in-hand, but the driving force for your success will be your positive habits. We live in a world that overemphasis the power of thoughts. There are people out there who are so convinced that they can manifest things that they aren't honest to themselves or anyone else about their situation. They act as if admitting that they are struggling or saying that their practice isn't doing as well as they would like is some sort of death nail to their future best life. People like that go around living life like the people in the Lego Movie, “EVERYTHING IS AWESOOOOME!!!” If that's something you struggle with, let me ease your mind. Your thoughts and words don't have that sort of power. You aren't God….which is a good thing. You aren't going to wreck your future blessings in life by admitting that you are currently having a hard time. The reason you are struggling is because you don't know what you are doing and you have bad habits. It's not because you complained when you should have said something positive. Lying is never good…even when you are doing it to yourself. And if you keep telling yourself that everything is fine when everything isn't fine, that's exactly what you are doing. My suggestion is that you be honest with yourself.  Don't think more highly of yourself than you should. Don't think less of yourself than you should. Have an honest mindset. If you need help, ask for help. If you don't know what you are doing, start learning. The future, more successful YOU knows things that you don't currently know and has habits that you don't currently have. So work on that. Start learning new things. Start developing better habits. That's how you'll become the person you want to become. We had a great conversation with Emmy Award-winning Actress Danielle Bisutti on The Chris & Sandy Show. We talked about her role in The Blue Rose, what she learned from her role, her life and so much more!Born and raised in Los Angeles, Danielle Bisutti attended California State University, Fullerton, where she received a BA in Acting and Musical Theatre graduating Magna Cum Laude. While attending CSUF, she was nominated multiple times for Best Actress in the Irene Ryan Competition and took the runner-up position at The Lincoln Theatre in NYC. She played the role of ‘Sheila' in a California-based production of Hair and brought the cast to Chicago to perform at the Democratic National Convention, along with a five-week run at The New Athenaeum Theatre. Her other theater credits include Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes, Maggie in Boy's Life, Yelena in Uncle Vanya, Fastrada in Pippin and Ophelia in Hamlet. She also studied with Lesley Kahn, performed with the Upright Citizens Brigade and studied with the Film Actor's Workshop under Eric Kline. Bisutti has been seen on some of television's most popular series including Parks & Recreation, Last Man Standing, CSI: Miami, Without a Trace, The O.C., Castle, NCIS, Criminal Minds, 90210, Shonda Rhimes' For the People, Private Practice, Body of Proof, Two and a Half Men and Boston Legal. She is best known for her starring role as Amanda Cantwell opposite Keke Palmer on the Nickelodeon series True Jackson VP. Her film credits include Insidious Chapter 2, Universal Studio's Curse of Chucky, Michael Rosenbaum's indie comedy Back in the Day, Lionsgate's Venice Underground opposite Eric Mabius, The Neighbor with Matthew Modine and Lionsgate's Faith-based film No Greater Love. Riki Lindhome is an Emmy nominated actress as well as a comedian, musician/ songwriter, writer, producer and director. Her wonderful career includes roles in acclaimed films such as ‘Knives Out' and ‘Under the Silverlake' and major hit shows ‘Wednesday', ‘The Big Bang Theory', ‘Brooklyn 99', and most recently ‘The Muppets Mayhem'. She is one half of Garfunkel and Oates, her musical comedy duo with Kate Micucci, and she is also the co-creator and showrunner of the TV series ‘Another Period' which aired on Comedy Central and was produced by Red Hour–Ben Stiller's production company. Additionally, Riki is an Emmy-nominated songwriter, and has contributed to animated movies and TV shows such as The Lego Movie 2 and the Spongebob Movie. She will appear as Maud in the upcoming horror film ‘They Listen' by Blumhouse films later in 2024. She will also be performing at Edinburgh her new show “Dead Inside”.
