Need more students in your preschool—but you don't want to ask parents to sign up? If so, you should listen in to our recent “Full by Fall” masterclass! Quinn Cooper went from elementary school principal to preschool owner without a huge marketing budget—and had to figure out how to get local families through her doors. After joining Preschool All Stars, she hosted a free Easter Egg Hunt for her community and had parents begging to sign their kids up… without her even having to ask! Find out how she did it: The 3 types of FREE events Quinn uses to get families through her doors—and how one simple “Paint & Play” can turn visitors into paying preschool families! How Quinn gets 500-1,000 people to show up to community events using her “layered communication” strategy (plus the ridiculously simple bubble-machine trick that gets kids—and their parents—to stop at your booth!) How to turn all those smiling families into actual enrollments with QR codes, irresistible same-day offers, tours, and strategic follow-up—so your fun event actually helps fill your preschool! Please rate and review us at Apple Podcasts. (We hope we've earned your 5 stars!) For Lyndsey Ayers, High Point has always been home. As a proud T. W. Andrews High School graduate, Lyndsey has fond memories of her years growing up in High Point. From cheering the Red Raiders onto a 2003 basketball championship victory, to attending the University of North Carolina Greensboro, Lyndsey never had the urge to venture far from the Triad. "The trend for all of our friends at that time was, 'Let's get out of High Point,'" she says, recalling classmates and friends who wanted to spread their wings and fly. But for Lyndsey, one distinct aspect of High Point caught her interest and gave her a new curiosity about her hometown. "In 2005, when Dr. Qubein came, he was blazing a trail," she says. High Point University, under Dr. Nido Qubein's leadership, was in a pivotal and pioneering phase. Dr. Qubein's appointment to the role of president at the university ushered in a new era of growth for HPU and ultimately the city of High Point itself. To read this story, visit: https://www.highpointdiscovered.org/stories/To learn more about HPU's Community Events, visit: https://www.highpoint.edu/community/engagement/About High Point Discovered:High Point Discovered is a 501(c)3, a grass-roots non-profit dedicated to communicating the stories of High Point, NC, to connect citizens and catalyze economic growth.  To discover more stories about High Point, visit https://www.highpointdiscovered.org/Each High Point Discovered story is made possible and accessible through our community like you. 5 Lessons we've learned from running events

Build Your Digital Community

In this episode of Community, IRL with my bestie Maria, we're sharing five of the biggest lessons we've learned from running hundreds of events over the years. From intimate dinners and retreats to 200-person experiences, online events, and most recently our yacht mastermind, we've learned a lot about what makes an event truly impactful.Events have always been such an important part of how Maria and I build community, and in this conversation we're sharing the things that have worked, the lessons we've learned the hard way, and what we're continuing to improve as High Vibe Women grows.Bigger isn't always better, and we've learned that creating different-sized experiences gives our community more opportunities to connect in the way that works best for them.Real-time event content has become a game changer for us because it captures the energy in the room, creates excitement for attendees, and builds FOMO for the people following along from home.Strong partnerships come from creating a true win-win, so we always ask how we can make a collaboration a “slam dunk” for both us and the brand or partner involved. The more information we give attendees before an event, the less confusion and admin there is, which is why we've become much more intentional about creating one central place for schedules, FAQs, venue details, resources, and everything else they need. The energy we bring into the room matters, and we've seen firsthand that showing up authentically, leading with integrity, and genuinely caring about the people we serve helps attract the kind of community we want to build. After running so many events, one of our biggest takeaways is that there will always be something new to learn. Every event gives us another opportunity to listen to feedback, drop our egos, make changes, and create an even better experience the next time.If you're hosting events, thinking about creating one, or simply looking for ways to build a stronger community around your business, I hope these lessons help you learn some of these things the easy way instead of the hard way like we did.And if you're feeling stuck with your social media or wondering what kind of content strategy actually fits you? A first summary of my three days with the Aras community in Miami. These PLM events always return me to the time when I did this sort of work--manually. Then my first taste of computers digitizing the bill of materials as a first step in our data management journey. Unfortunately, that company hit a big bump in the road and I was invited to try other things--at other companies. Aras product managers showed how LLMs trained on the data within the app along with proper governance worked with agents to perform a number of tasks. Tasks in many cases that would require days of pain-staking work from a human. While I heard from an analyst in the market that they thought this was all painfully slow, I'd offer the thought that a company does not want to outpace its customers. Most will not want to jump into the deep end immediately. As always, this podcast was sponsored by Ignition from Inductive Automation.

Tiffany McQuaid is the Regional Director of Strategy and Performance at SERHANT and author of The INth Degree: How To Stand Out By Going All In. Tiffany's case study looks at how she built a multi-million dollar real estate brokerage in a crowded market through creative community events like a concert series, stone crab festivals, and safari-themed open houses that created brand awareness and meaningful relationships. The results? $22 million in real estate sales in her first year of hosting events and a 400% increase in office foot traffic. In today's episode, Tiffany unpacks the full strategy behind "Rockin' on the Bay" and her broader community creation event playbook —including how she got the first event off the ground with no budget and why experience-based marketing continues to outperform everything else she's tried.
