A first summary of my three days with the Aras community in Miami. These PLM events always return me to the time when I did this sort of work--manually. Then my first taste of computers digitizing the bill of materials as a first step in our data management journey. Unfortunately, that company hit a big bump in the road and I was invited to try other things--at other companies. Aras product managers showed how LLMs trained on the data within the app along with proper governance worked with agents to perform a number of tasks. Tasks in many cases that would require days of pain-staking work from a human. While I heard from an analyst in the market that they thought this was all painfully slow, I'd offer the thought that a company does not want to outpace its customers. Most will not want to jump into the deep end immediately. As always, this podcast was sponsored by Ignition from Inductive Automation.

Tiffany's case study looks at how she built a multi-million dollar real estate brokerage in a crowded market through creative community events like a concert series, stone crab festivals, and safari-themed open houses that created brand awareness and meaningful relationships. The results? $22 million in real estate sales in her first year of hosting events and a 400% increase in office foot traffic. In today's episode, Tiffany unpacks the full strategy behind "Rockin' on the Bay" and her broader community creation event playbook —including how she got the first event off the ground with no budget and why experience-based marketing continues to outperform everything else she's tried. What Is Somatic Therapy? Jennie of MEND Counseling Explains Trauma, Nervous System Healing, and Building a Therapy Team.On the Samantha Parker Show takeover series, Samantha interviews Jennie, owner of MEND Counseling Center in St. George, Utah, a group practice with seven other therapists (adding one more) chosen for extensive experience handling complex trauma. Jennie explains somatic therapy as “body” work focused on how the nervous system records experiences, describing physiological responses like tension, shaking, numbing/shutdown, and how pausing and breathing can help process emotions so trauma doesn't become encapsulated. She emphasizes talk therapy's value for safety, witnessing, and building a roadmap, but says somatic tools help resolve activation so memories become “net neutral,” mentioning modalities like brainspotting/EMDR and the role of window of tolerance. Jennie shares her path from college softball to psychology, wilderness therapy, and bodywork, plus a year-long psychedelic-assisted therapy training, and describes building a team to help more people. They also discuss self-care, community collaborations like Samantha's impact walks, and where to find MEND online.00:00 Welcome Back Jennie00:35 Blue Vibes Banter01:44 Meet MEND Counseling03:52 Somatic Therapy Basics05:53 Numbness Pause Trauma07:57 Talk Therapy vs Somatics11:56 Trauma Roadmap Safety15:14 Brainspotting Window Tolerance17:04 Why Jennie Became Therapist18:21 Softball Side Quest20:47 Somatics Bodywork Origins23:55 Talk Therapy Burnout24:23 Safe Adults for Kids25:10 Parents Creating Safety26:24 Making Therapy Engaging27:27 Why Build a Practice28:32 Psychedelic Therapy Safety29:56 Starfish Team Vision31:56 Leadership and Capacity34:26 Counterpressure Self Care38:55 Parenting and Connection40:32 Where to Find Mend40:59 Community Events and Wrap Up42:50 Traffic Banter GoodbyeJennie (MEND Counseling) InstagramWebsiteWant to Work with The Samantha Parker for Content Management CLICK HEREFollow me on TikTok https://www.tiktok.com/@samanthaparkershowYouTube https://www.youtube.com/@thesamanthaparkerInstagram https://www.instagram.com/thesamanthaparker/

If you want a predictable system for referrals without spending money on ads or cold outreach, this episode is packed with actionable insights.

Twelve years ago, the Hammersmith Chess Club in London was down to fewer than 20 members and facing an uncertain future. Today, thanks to committed volunteers, a welcoming culture, and the broader boom in chess, it's the largest chess club in London, and was recently named ECF Chess Club of the Year. I'm joined by Hammersmith Club Captain Gaston Franco to discuss the club's remarkable turnaround and what other communities can learn from it. We cover topics like financial sustainability, league play, and gender dynamics, as well as the importance of creating an inclusive, welcoming environment. We also explore Gaston's own chess journey, which highlights one of the game's great strengths: its ability to provide instant community, especially when moving alone to a new country.
