Prof Angus Dalgleish is a professor emeritus of oncology at the University of London who is recognized worldwide for his contributions in cancer and HIV research. Dr. Dalgleish is the co-discoverer of identifying the CD4 receptor as a major cellular receptor for HIV.  He has published approximately 500 papers in the peer-reviewed literature. He was a member of a selective group led by former MI6 head Richard Dearlove who referred to themselves as the Covid Hunters. As early as March 2020, just a few months after the first announcement of the pandemic coronavirus, this group stated the Covid-19 virus originated from the Wuhan Institute of Virology.   Prof. Dalgleish has been an outspoken critic of government lockdowns, mask mandates and the Covid vaccines, notably the mRNA vaccines by Pfizer and Moderna.

Plus, Josh Paul, former State Department employee, who resigned in protest over the Biden Administration's policy of sending weapons to support Israel's genocide in Gaza, returns to tell us about an organization he co-founded called “A New Policy,” which as the name suggests envisions an American policy toward the Middle East more in line with the “foundational principles of liberty, equality, democracy, and human rights; advancing American interests abroad; and protecting American freedoms at home.”Deepa Padmanabha is Senior Legal Advisor at Greenpeace USA, where she works closely with environmental activists seeking to exercise their First Amendment rights to promote systemic change. Perhaps most distressingly, he shilled for the disastrous Medicare privatization scheme known as “Medicare Advantage,” at one point saying that he himself is on a Medicare Advantage plan and that “more people would rather be on Medicare Advantage.” Kennedy went on to say most Americans would prefer to be on private insurance. As Matt Stoller of the American Economic Liberties Project writes, this is “basically Cato [Institute] style libertarianism.”2. Meanwhile, the Trump Administration is signaling they intend to scrap a proposed EPA rule to ban “forever chemicals” from Americans' drinking water, per the Spokesman-Review out of Spokane, Washington. Per this piece, “perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances, abbreviated PFAS, are a set of man-made chemicals used in thousands of products over the decades. High levels of them have…been linked to cancers, heart disease, high cholesterol, thyroid disease, low birth weight and other diseases.” Shelving PFAS regulation was high on the Heritage Foundation's Project 2025 wish list, though the Trump team had previously sent mixed messages on the topic. Trump's pick to oversee regulation of dangerous chemicals is Nancy Beck, a longtime executive at the American Chemistry Council.3. As if those betrayals weren't enough, Trump has also selected Ms. Kailee Buller as the Chief of Staff for the U.S. Department of Agriculture. For the past year, Buller has served as president & CEO of the National Oilseed Processors Association. More simply put, she is the top seed oil lobbyist in the nation. This is perhaps the most illustrative example of the MAHA bait and switch. Not only is the Trump administration spitting in the face of their own supporters and doing the opposite of what they promised in terms of cracking down on ultra-processed, unhealthy food – they are doing so in an openly and brazenly corrupt manner. Under Trump, regulatory agencies are on the auction block and will be sold to the highest bidder.4. In more health news, legendary investigative journalist Seymour Hersh has come out with a new story – and it's a doozy. According to Hersh's sources, the Trump administration mishandled the COVID-19 pandemic long before the public knew anything about the virus. He writes “I learned this week that a US intelligence asset at the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China, where the Covid virus was first observed…provided early warning of a laboratory accident at Wuhan that led to a series of infections that was quickly spreading and initially seemed immune to treatment.” Hersh continues “early studies dealing with how to mitigate the oncoming plague, based on information from the Chinese health ministry about the lethal new virus, were completed late in 2019 by experts from America's National Institutes of Health and other research agencies.” Yet, “Despite their warnings, a series of preventative actions were not taken until the United States was flooded with cases of the virus.” Most damningly, Hersh's sources claim that “All of these studies…have been expunged from the official internal records in Washington, including any mention of the CIA's source inside the Chinese laboratory.” If true, this would be among the most catastrophic cases of indecision – and most sweeping coverup – in modern American history. Watch this space.5. Meanwhile, in more foreign affairs news, Progressive International reports that “For the first time in history,” Members of the United States Congress have joined with Members of Mexico's Cámara de Diputados to “oppose the escalating threats of U.S. military action against Mexico” and call to “strengthen the bonds of solidarity between our peoples.” This move of course comes amid ever-rising tensions between the United States and our southern neighbor, particularly as the GOP has in recent years taken up the idea of a full-blown invasion of Mexico. This letter was signed by many prominent U.S. progressives, including Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, Summer Lee, AOC, Greg Casar and Raul Grijalva, as well as 23 Mexican deputies. One can only hope that this show of internationalism helps forestall further escalation with Mexico.6. Turning to the issue of corruption, former New Jersey Senator Robert Menendez was sentenced to 11 years in prison for his role in a bribery scheme that included him acting as an unregistered agent of the Egyptian government, per the DOJ. Until 2024, Menendez had served as the Chairman or Ranking Member of the powerful Senate Foreign Relations Committee – an ideal perch for a crooked politician. During sentencing, Menendez broke down and weepily begged the judge for leniency. Yet, almost immediately after the sentence was handed down, Menendez changed his tune and started sucking up to Trump in a transparent attempt to secure a pardon. Axios reports Menendez said “President Trump was right…This process is political, and it's corrupted to the core. I hope President Trump cleans up the cesspool and restores the integrity to the system.” Unfortunately, Trump's fragile ego makes him particularly susceptible to just this sort of appeal, so it would be no surprise if he does grant some form of clemency to the disgraced Senator.7. Likewise, New York City Mayor Eric Adams appears to feel the walls closing in with regard to his corrupt dealings with his Turkish benefactors. And just like Menendez, Adams' strategy appears to be to ingratiate himself with Trump world. On January 23rd, the New York Daily News reported that Adams had pledged to avoid publicly criticizing Trump. Adams has previously called Trump a “white supremacist.” Adams' simpering seems to having the intended effect. On January 29th, the New York Times reported “Senior Justice Department officials under President Trump have held discussions with federal prosecutors in Manhattan about the possibility of dropping their corruption case,” against Adams. This story notes that “The defense team is led by Alex Spiro, who is also the personal lawyer for Elon Musk.”8. Our final three stories this week have to do with organized labor. First, Bloomberg labor reporter Josh Eidelson reports Trump has ousted National Labor Relations Board General Counsel Jennifer Abruzzo. This alone is a tragedy; Abruzzo has been nothing short of a crusader on behalf of organized labor during her tenure. Yet, more troubling news quickly followed: Trump has unlawfully sacked Gwynne Wilcox a Democratic member of the labor board with no just cause. As Eidelson notes, the law forbids “firing board members absent neglect or malfeasance.” Wilcox was the first ever Black member of the NLRB and her unlawful removal gives Trump a working majority at the board. Expect to see a rapid slew of anti-worker decisions in the coming days.9. In some good news, independent journalist Ken Klippenstein reports that union collective bargaining agreements have successfully “thwart[ed]…Trump's return to work order.” Instead, the administration has been forced to issue a new order, stating “Supervisors should not begin discussions around the return to in-person work with bargaining unit employees until HHS fulfills its collective bargaining obligations.” In other words, even while every supposed legal guardrail, institutional norm, and political force of gravity wilts before Trump's onslaught, what is the one bulwark that still stands strong, protecting everyday working people? Their union.10. Our final story is a simple one. Jacobin labor journalist Alex Press reports that in Philadelphia, the first Whole Foods grocery store has voted to unionize. The nearly-300 workers at the store voted to affiliate with United Food and Commercial Workers Local 1176. Whole Foods was sold to Amazon in 2017 and since then the e-tail giant has vigorously staved off unionization. Could this be the first crack in the dam? I was reminded of the title in an altogether inappropriate way when I read of the assassination of General Kirillov in Moscow, allegedly by Ukrainian secret agents.Then I read of the tragic suicide of Suchir Balaji, a whistleblower and former employee at OpenAI, surely the most glamorous company in Silicon Valley these days.There is a thread here: it is not good for your health if you expose certain people or certain companies. You will pay a price.You may just be minding your own business, but you happen to be in the way. This is what happened to Indian nuclear and space scientists over the last few decades. Homi Bhabha's plane crashed in the Swiss Alps. Vikram Sarabhai died mysteriously at Halcyon Castle, Trivandrum, close to the space center that now bears his name.Dozens of lesser-known Indian space and nuclear scientists and engineers died too, inexplicably. The same thing happened to Iranian nuclear scientists. Nambi Narayanan was lucky to escape with his life (“Who killed the ISRO's cryogenic engine?”), though his career and reputation were ruined.My friend Dewang Mehta of NASSCOM died quite suddenly too. I wrote a tribute to him years ago, “The man who knew marketing”. In hindsight, I think he was a friend, not just an acquaintance. I remember some very human details about him: eg. he asked a mutual friend to introduce eligible women to him, just as I did. But I digress: I believe Dewang was as important to the Indian IT story as Bhabha and Sarabhai to nuclear and space: they made us believe, and we rose to the occasion. Then there was Lal Bahadur Shastri. The circumstances of his sudden death remain murky.And Sunanda Pushkar, Shashi Tharoor's wife, whom I was following on Twitter in real time. One night, she promised to make some startling revelations the next morning, presumably about dubious dealings in Dubai by the D Company. And lo! she was dead the next morning.It is hard not to think that there is a pattern. Not only here, but in the trail of dead bodies that follows the Clinton dynasty around. The Obama chef who drowned. The whistleblowing CIA and FBI agents who… just died. The list is long. People who are inconvenient end up in body bags. I remember reading that when Sarabhai died, his family did not even ask for a post-mortem.There are two broad patterns: geo-political assassinations and those for commercial reasons.In Kirillov's case, it was probably both.General Kirillov claimed that there were bio-labs in Ukraine, etc. where the Deep State was cooking up banned biological weapons, in an eerie echo of Peter Daszcak's Ecohealth Alliance and Anthony Fauci's NIAID allegedly aiding and abetting prohibited gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. He claimed biological crises were manufactured on demand to generate profits and increase government control. Presumably he opened a can of worms that the Deep State and Big Pharma didn't want opened. Off with his head!There is the ‘conspiracy theory' that the entire COVID-19 circus was a bioweapons project that went awry. It was intended to depopulate the world, especially of black and brown people, to which the IITD paper (that was forcibly withdrawn) alludes: the genes that seemed to have been inserted into the original virus were from India, Southeast Asia, and Kenya, if I remember right. Of course, the powers that be do not want shocking stuff like this to come out.It is straightforward to make it a false-flag operation with the Ukrainian SBU secret service to provide plausible deniability: much like the bombing of the NordStream pipeline. So exit, stage left, for Kirillov. As Sherlock Holmes might have said, “Follow the money”, or words to that effect. Cui bono?I really don't mean to trivialize human suffering, but to focus on the shadowy forces that organize and execute targeted assassinations. In particular, decapitation strikes can be devastating. In our own history, the loss of Hemachandra Vikramaditya in the Second Battle of Panipat, in 1526, to a stray arrow that hit him in the eye, was a point of inflexion.Similarly, at the Battle of Talikota in 1565, the capture and beheading of the aged Ramaraya by his own troops that had gone rogue turned the winning position of the Vijayanagar Empire into a headlong rout and obliteration for the city-state.The assassination of Ahmed Shah Masoud, the Commander of the Northern Alliance, with a bomb hidden in a news camera, turned the tide in Afghanistan in 2001. The American assassination of Qasem Soleimani of Iran in 2020 led to a significant erosion of Iran's position, for example in Syria.The silencing of whistle-blowers has, alas, become all too common. There were the allegations about Karen Silkwood in 1974, who died in a mysterious car crash as she was driving to meet a NYTimes reporter regarding problems at a plutonium processing plant run by Kerr-McGhee in Oklahoma.In 2003, David Kelly, a British weapons inspector who claimed there were indeed no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, was found dead. The verdict was suicide.In 2015, Alberto Nisman, an Argentine prosecutor known for his work on terrorism cases, was found dead days after he accused Iran of involvement in a car-bombing on a Jewish center.In March 2024, John Barnett, a former Boeing employee, was found dead from a gunshot wound in his truck, just before he was scheduled to testify in a whistleblower lawsuit. There was also Joshua Dean, who died of a strange infection in May 2024, shortly after Barnett's death. He worked for a company supplying parts to Boeing.In November 2024, Suchir Balaji, all of 26 years old, was found dead in his San Francisco apartment. In October, he had made allegations about OpenAI violating copyright laws.The bottom line: if you know something, just keep quiet about it. If you are a person of substance, take no risks, and be paranoid about your security. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus and Jonathan Clark Pastor charged with converting people through prayer A Baptist pastor in India, Pranjal Bhuyan, who also works as a teacher, was arrested last week in the Northeastern state of Assam following complaints from villagers that he was attempting to convert people through prayers, reports International Christian Concern. Attempting to heal people by praying for them is illegal under the Prevention of Evil Practices Act, enacted in February. This law purportedly wants to create science-based knowledge and a safe environment to protect human health. It also aims to end “evil” and “sinister practices” that lawmakers believe thrive on ignorance and people's ill health. The law criminalizes practices resorting to “magical healing” (prayers) and stipulates a three-year jail term and a fine for violations. Christian leaders believe the legislation is ultimately an attempt to restrict and curb the spread of Christianity in Assam. Pastor Bhuyan now holds the dubious distinction of being the first person to be arrested under this law. According to Open Doors, India is the 11th most difficult country worldwide in which to be a Christian. British young people are advocating for the unborn BBC One aired a documentary last week called “Young, British, and Anti-Abortion.” The film shows the rise of pro-life activism among members of Gen Z. One pro-lifer featured in the documentary was Eden McCourt of Abortion Resistance. She has received over 3.4 million views with her content online. Filmmaker Poppy Jay noted, “These activists are young, and they are in it for the long term. They know they are not going to change anyone's mind overnight, and their strong social media presence is just giving them more confidence. Yes, they might be a vocal minority, but they are effective at getting their message across.” In 1 Timothy 4:12, the Apostle Paul told Timothy, “Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” Jeff Bezos applauds Trump's attack on regulations, stands by not endorsing Kamala Harris Amazon founder — and Washington Post owner — Jeff Bezos rarely speaks in public. And to get him to talk about politics in public is an even bigger feat. Political commentator Chris Cillizza said that Bezos did both on Wednesday — sitting down with the New York Times' Andrew Ross Sorkin. BEZOS: “If we're talking about Trump, I think it's very interesting. I'm actually very optimistic this time around. He seems to have a lot of energy around reducing regulation. And my point of view, if I can help him do that, I'm going to help him. Because we do have too much regulation.” Bezos suggested an economic growth strategy that would outpace the growth of the national debt. BEZOS: “This country is so set up to grow. If you look at the national debt, and how gigantic it is as a portion of [the Gross Domestic Product], these are real problems, and they're real long-term problems. The way you get out of them is by outgrowing them. “You're going to solve the problem of the national debt by making it a smaller percentage of GDP, not by shrinking the national debt, but by growing the GDP. You have to grow the denominator. That means you have to grow GDP at 3%, 4%, 5% a year and let the national debt grow slower than that. If you can do that, this is a very manageable problem.” In an attempt to appease Trump, Bezos applauded the President-elect's vision to cut regulations. BEZOS: “There are so many advantages here, but we are burdened by excessive permitting and regulation. President Trump is serious about this regulatory agenda, and I think he has a good chance of succeeding.” The New York Times interviewer, Andrew Sorkin, pointed to the blowback that Jeff Bezos received as owner of the Washington Post when he ordered the editorial staff not to endorse Kamala Harris for president and simply remain neutral on the editorial page instead. SORKIN: “Marty Baron, who was your former editor of that paper, he said, ‘This is cowardice with democracy as its casualty.'” BEZOS: “It was the right decision. I'm proud of the decision we made, and it was far from cowardly, because we knew there would be blowback, and we did the right thing anyway.” SORKIN:  “Okay, so let me ask you about that though. There was blowback. I think 250,000 people canceled their subscriptions.” Political commentator Chris Cillizza offered his analysis. CILLIZZA: “He does not want to make an enemy of the incoming president of the United States who has already targeted him repeatedly during his first term. So, I think this is of a piece with Bezos' decision to not run an editorial that, from the Washington Post editorial board, that endorsed Kamala Harris. He defended that decision. He said it wasn't cowardly; it was brave. Look, I think this is, at root, probably a business decision.” Congress definitively concludes COVID-19 came from Wuhan, China lab On December 2nd, the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic concluded its two-year investigation into the COVID-19 pandemic.  They released a final report entitled “After Action Review of the COVID-19 Pandemic: The Lessons Learned and a Path Forward.”  Since February 2023, the Select Subcommittee has sent more than 100 investigative letters, conducted more than 30 transcribed interviews and depositions, held 25 hearings and meetings, and reviewed more than one million pages of documents.  In their 520-page final report, which we have linked in our transcript today at www.TheWorldview.com, the Select Subcommittee's investigation documents  the five strongest arguments which demonstrate that COVID-19 most likely emerged from a laboratory in Wuhan, China. First, the virus possesses a biological characteristic that is not found in nature. Second, data shows that all COVID-19 cases stem from a single introduction into humans. This runs contrary to previous pandemics where there were multiple spillover events. Third, Wuhan is home to China's foremost Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome research lab, which has a history of conducting gain-of-function research at inadequate biosafety levels. Fourth, researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology were sick with a COVID-like virus in the fall of 2019, months before COVID-19 was discovered at the wet market. And fifth, by nearly all measures of science, if there was evidence of a natural origin it would have already surfaced. Anti-Bible PCUSA denomination has lost a million members And finally, the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) released its annual statistics report on Tuesday. The mainline Protestant denomination, which continues to reject Biblical orthodoxy, now has about one million fewer active members or half as many as it did in 2009.  The denomination had 1.094 million members last year, down 46,000 from 2022. President Xi Jinping has highlighted the pivotal role of Central China's Hubei province in the nation's modernization drive, calling for greater strides in sci-tech and industrial innovation, ecological conservation and deepening comprehensive reform and opening-up.Speaking during a fact-finding trip to the province from Monday to Wednesday, Xi stressed the need for the region to forge ahead in the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and to build itself into a strategic fulcrum for the rise of the central region at an early date.The trip took Xi, who is also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, to the cities of Xiaogan, Xianning and Wuhan, the provincial capital.Hubei, with a GDP of 5.58 trillion yuan ($777.46 billion) and a population of 58.38 million in 2023, is not just an economic powerhouse but also a region deeply integrated into China's broader economic architecture. In a letter to House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY), White House counsel Edward Siskel reasoned: “The absence of a legitimate need for the audio recordings lays bare your likely goal—to chop them up, distort them and use them for partisan political purposes.” 4:15pm- The Wall Street Journal Editorial Board writes of President Joe Biden's assertion of executive privilege: “The privilege claim is bogus on two grounds. First, once a President waives a privilege right, it can't be reclaimed. Mr. Biden conceded that the interview wasn't privileged, and there's no legal basis to say that a recording is different from a transcript. Even if Mr. Biden had first claimed privilege over the interview, that wouldn't pass legal muster because the interview subject didn't concern his presidential duties or White House deliberations. It concerned his handling of documents while in the Senate, as Vice President, or as a private citizen. Mr. Siskel's claim that the goal is to protect the Justice Department's ‘law enforcement investigations' also doesn't work.
