Niall is a 22 year old Irish based artist specialising in Hardgroove, Hypnotic & Tribal techno. He has a passion for all forms of electronic music, but his true sound is heavily influenced by the late 90s & early 2000s era of loop-driven techno, however, it's no surprise to hear a variety of genres from both the new and the old era's in Niall's highly energetic sets. He has performed all over Ireland in the last 2 years, with multiple headline shows in various Irish cities like Galway, Sligo, Limerick & Dublin. In Summer 2023, Niall made his first Irish festival appearances at Electric Picnic & Life Festival, and also wrapped up his first tour in Canada & America alongside his former collective, with performances in Vancouver, San Diego, San Francisco, Chicago & New York. This tour allowed him to share his musical talents & knowledge on an international scale for the first time & gave him great exposure doing so. Niall has notably supported many international artists like Hector Oaks, X-Club, Azyr, Partiboi69, Skin on Skin, Riot Code, Salute and Testpress. The above list of artists shows Niall's sheer versatility on the decks and that he is not limited to playing just one genre. He is also a lover of all-night-long sets, having completed 6 to date with hopefully many more in the future. In the world of production, Niall embarked on his creative journey in January 2023, and it has been quite a successful one so far. He's gotten 3 releases under his belt to date, and they have already received support from artists such as VTSS, TRYM, Boyz Noize, Bad Boombox, Juicy Romance & 2qwik2gruv. With more projects currently in the pipeline, including his first label releases & remixes, he doesn't show any sign of stopping soon with his productions. @niall-kelly-16

From a very young age, her musical interests moved across a broad spectrum, going from house and dance music to rock and punk leading her lastly to techno and club-culture. At age 22 she approached the local scene as Djane with numerous performances in the club circuit of Bari. Through the years she has developed a continued and careful respect of the musical experience. She moved to Berlin in 2011 started djing with only vinyl records. In September 2011, she spent one month in Detroit where she started the collaboration with DJ Seoul, Tom and Angie Linder of Detroit Techno Militia. This travel has definitely and radically changed her approach to the techno concept, which she considers more a political and social phenomenon and a lifestyle than just a musical genre. Back to Berlin she immediately came into contact with the queer scene, then in full bloom, building a network primarily of interpersonal relationships based on mutual support and collaboration, a network that naturally strengthens over the years, leading her to basically all queer realities of the city and beyond. Her first releases on vinyl came out in 2014 on DTM-Label ( Detroit ) and Arkita Records ( Berlin ), the label that she spawned together with Synkopheit till 2016. In 2017 she launched her own record label Future Déjà Vu releasing 6 EP respectively by Transient X4, Ken Karter, Mannella a.k.a. DHARAXT, Phontonz & Shcuro, Rage Therapy and Bertrand. In Summer 1983, Max Jones jumped on a strange new contraption called a #mountainbike and went looking for trails to ride around #laketahoe. There wasn't really any singletrack until he discovered an abandoned flume line running high above the east shore of the lake. After a few failed attempts, Max finally uncovered the overgrown track, taking five hours to “ride” only four miles, fighting through brush and hundreds of downed trees. For the rest that summer, Max cleared the trail with nothing more than hand tools and dogged determination. 40 years later, thanks to Max's efforts, the Marlette Flume Trail has become the most scenic trail in the world and a gem of recreation in Lake Tahoe. Max and his wife Patti have built a life and career around the Flume Trail, promoting the Great Flume Race for more than a decade, starting Flume Trail Bikes to shuttle visitors and opening Tunnel Creek Café to feed them at the end of the adventure. Welcome to episode 86 of Holly Jolly X'masu! In this special Christmas in July episode, I talk about a selection of summery Christmas songs from a variety of artists. As I said in the episode, I really enjoy putting these episodes together. It gives me a chance to share some songs that might not fit in another episode, and artists I wouldn't be able to cover otherwise. At this point, I think I've found all the low-hanging fruit, so it will take a lot of digging to find other Summer Christmas songs. I have plenty for next year, and should be good for the following July, but I'll have to work hard to find more than that. Just to recap, I've posted the titles and album covers for the songs from this episode below. 1. Pauro Cesar Trio – Merry X'mas In Summer 2. Akiko Ozawa – Christmas In August 3. Masako-san – Summer Christmas 4. You Hayami – Summer Holy Night 5. Momoiro Clover Z – Midwinter Sunshine Summer Time 6. Conny, Dibbs, Boz & Friends – Surfers Christmas Wish 7. Sexy Zone – It Snows In Sexy Summer 8. Mariko Nagai – Midsummer Eve 9. Natsuko Upper Crust – X'mas & Sun 10. Tenchi Souko and Honey Knights – Aloha Santa 11. Snyder – Rise '80 – Midsummer Eve I hope you enjoyed this year's Christmas in July. This is probably my most eclectic selection of songs yet. I can't overstate how thrilled I was to finally get a few of them. August is 80s month, so be sure to join me back here for a couple of great 80s episodes. In my first August episode, I'll be paying tribute to the legendary Ryuichi Sakamoto who passed away earlier this year. I'll be covering the 1983 movie, “Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence,” and its soundtrack. Then join me on the 25th when I cover the MIDI label's 1988 compilation, “Winter Tales.” I'll follow that up in September with their 1992 compilation, “Winter Tales 2.” If I get a little extra time, I'll try to put out a bonus episode. Whatever the case, I'll be covering some fantastic music and a true classic movie, so be sure to tune in. As always, any feedback on this episode would be appreciated. If have any suggestions, or if you'd like to recommend a song or album for a future episode, drop me a line and let me know. Remember, I've added a button to my Ko-fi page. If you'd like to support me one cup of coffee at a time, a donation is only $3. I've also opened a Redbubble store. I only have a couple designs up, but keep an eye on it as I'll be trying to add more. Half of any proceeds or donations received will be donated to support the people of Ukraine, while the rest will be used to purchase new Japanese Christmas music to review for future episodes. You can also find me on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. And if you get a chance, leave me a review on iTunes. Thanks!

We've got some fellow old people listening to this show (may your tubes of Voltaren be ever on sale), and I think we can all take a little comfort in the fact many of Falcom's RPGs, including the epic The Legend of Heroes saga, are about as old as us. Heroes has had a lot of time to pump out some good storytelling, including the still-celebrated Trails sub-series. But even mighty things come to an end eventually. In this episode we invite Trails fanatic Cam Hawkins to talk about the game that's bringing Sky, Steel, and Crossbell onto one stage and putting a cap on everything: Trails into Reverie. Is it a worthy conclusion to Trails, or does it try a little too hard to cram everyone in and wrap everything up? We talk about Reverie and other Trails matters, including "Where do I even start with this dang series?" (Protip: Really hard to go wrong with Trails in the Sky.) Also in This Episode: The Steam Summer Sale is on! Never forget the Battle of Walletsdeep. Baldur's Gate 3 lets you make love to bears, but will it let you throw a knife into heaven and kill with a stare? The Pokemon Company has a "dead dove, do not eat" moment when they open their Pokemon forums and are forced to lock them within hours. In Summer of Korra, we learn that Toph rocks the unwed wine mother role, so to speak. Pac-Man deserves that deep puncture wound I administered. Becoming Ecological with Kelly Moody

What does it mean to become ecological? This is the burning question behind today's podcast episode with Kelly Moody. These days especially, the word "ecology" has been cycling around internet, sparking many, many conversations about what it means to establish new relationships with each other and the land. In this episode, Kelly and I discuss why becoming ecological is not so much about what we "know" about nature, but about recognizing our inherent relationship with the Earth, each other, and all things else. About Kelly Kelly Moody is the main curator behind the Ground Shots Project and Podcast as well as is one of the CO-collaborators of the Colorado Trail Plant-a-go project. She grew up in rural southern Virginia near the border of North Carolina in tobacco and muscadine country. Growing up here, she went to her grandma's house daily as a child, where fresh biscuits and iced tea were a regular necessity. Her other grandma was a determined plant lady who started a nursery business on the outskirts of their small rural town, which remained open for almost 50 years. Kelly grew up hiding with her sister in the tropical greenhouses, taking craft classes in the small nursery workshop, shelling green beans and canning tomatoes. These experiences of being on the family farm, working with plants and creating followed Kelly into her adulthood. The past decade she has spent living simply in different landscapes studying plants, ecology and craft, writing about the land, growing food and herbs, or honoring her wanderlust by living on the road. She received a B. A. in Philosophy and Religious Studies in 2009 from Christopher Newport University in Virginia. She has studied herbal medicine, land tending, ecology and botany with Rebecca Golden in southern Vermont, Paul Strauss and Chip Carrol at the Goldenseal Sanctuary in southeast Ohio, Luke Learningdeer and Marc Williams in western North Carolina. She apprenticed with Juliet Blankespoor and attended the Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine in Asheville, NC in 2013. She helped manage the gardens at Dancing Springs Farm in Asheville, NC from 2014-2016. She studied book arts and paper-making at Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina. She taught hide tanning techniques for classes held by the medieval bookbinder Jim Croft at his rural Idaho homestead from 2017-2019. She has completed a handful of art + activism focused artist residencies and workshops including Signal Fire's month-long Wide Open Studios program during the summer of 2017 in the Pacific Northwest and in the fall of 2019 in the Southwest. These programs greatly influenced the trajectory of her work connecting creativity and human relationship with ecology. In Summer 2020, she hiked the Colorado Trail documenting plants on foot and made notes on wild food and medicine gardens found along the old Ute pathways. Her educational work over the years has included holding classes on hide tanning, plant ID, wild foods, medicine making, natural dyes, nutrition and gardening. Kelly's interest in storytelling and cross-cultural dialogue comes from both an upbringing in the small-town rural south and the inspiration of meeting people while living on the road. The title may cause some to question this episode or simply not listen to it. I chose the topic out of deep respect for Herbie's beliefs and because I know a lot of adopters are religious too. I was also curious as to where we'd go. I'm not a religious person but my own healing experience appears to be more spiritual than psychological. More magic than logic. That's why healing can't be set out in a step by step rational process. Rewiring our brains isn't like rewiring a plug. It's magical. I would suggest that from a religious perspective God is the source of the magic.Perhaps our kids trauma happened before they came into our homes. Perhaps it happens in trying to figure it out. Herb talks about how God's grace helps us heal. We take a deep and religious dive that's all about everyone's intrinsic value. Hugely profound, we explore humility and self awareness. The better we understand ourselves the better able we are to help our kids understand themselves. The clearer we can see our own worth, the more clearly we can point our kids towards their own worth. The worth that lies underneath the trauma waiting to be revealed. Here's a link to the last interview with Herbie https://thriving-adoptees.simplecast.com/episodes/herbie-newell-president-executive-director-pYbKfULKHerbie is the President & Executive Director of Lifeline Children's Services and its ministry arms. He worked with WAKM Companies, LLC, a prominent accounting firm, for several years as an independent auditor before being led to Lifeline in 2003 as Executive Director. From January 2004 to December 2008, he served as the president of the Alabama Adoption Coalition and was chosen as a Hague Intercountry Adoption evaluator and team leader by the Council of Accreditation. Under Herbie's leadership, Lifeline has increased international outreach to 25 countries through adoption and strategic orphan care, obtained licensure in 12 states, attained membership into the ECFA (Evangelical Council on Financial Accountability), and established the foster care arm at Lifeline. Herbie has spoken at many events concerning adoption and the Church's response to orphan care, including the National Council for Adoption, Christian Alliance for Orphans, Together for Adoption, Care Net and the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission.Having witnessed the plight of older orphans on many international trips, Herbie's burden for the fatherless was a catalyst for forming (un)adopted in 2009, Lifeline's strategic orphan care ministry focused on equipping orphaned and vulnerable children with life skills needed to bring about community transformation. During Summer 2013, Herbie and his family traveled for seven weeks throughout China, working with (un)adopted and orphanage partners. In Summer 2018, he and his family served for five weeks in Colombia with Lifeline's adoption and orphan care partners.Herbie and his wife, Ashley, live in Birmingham, Alabama, and are parents to son, Caleb, and daughters, Adelynn and Emily. Following her graduation from Samford, Ashley worked as Assistant Director of Sav-A-life, a Birmingham-based crisis pregnancy center, where she counseled hundreds of women on life-giving options for their babies.Herbie and Ashley share a passion for the unborn, life, and adoption and desire to spend their lives advocating for the least of these.Connect with Herbie at:https://twitter.com/Hmnewellhttps://www.linkedin.com/in/herbienewell/Here's a summary from Lifeline's website "With a mission to equip the Body of Christ to manifest the gospel to vulnerable children, we know we cannot do this without one another. Whether through adoption, foster care, orphan care, or education and counseling, the mission is accomplished when churches live out James 1:27 in their communities and to the ends of the earth. Kurtis Parks is a father and husband, a church planter, a worship leader, an author*, and a songwriter. We are blessed that he had the time to share this incredible devotional with us all about faith. Christians can always use a little bit more faith and it's a topic that, no matter how many times it's covered in any format, it's relevant. Sometimes God rewards our faith with tangible experiences that we can't deny are a result of His intervention. This episode has just such a story and it will truly blow your mind. God is so good and so alive. Today's episode is one of those worth listening to…twice. More about our podcast can be found on Worship Leader's website. https://www.kurtisparks.com/bio Scripture References Hebrews 12:26-29 About Our Sponsor - Next Sunday https://bit.ly/3P71uFw Will future generations find a church worth fighting for? A great reckoning is underway in the church today: a naming and exposing of the exclusivity, abuse, racism, patriarchy, and unchecked power that have marked evangelical Christianity for far too long. What kind of church will emerge on the other side? Like many families, the Beaches have been wrestling with this question. Together, Nancy and Samantha represent two generations: Nancy, a boomer, was a key player in the megachurch movement that revolutionized global ministry during the '80s and '90s, while Samantha, a millennial, is willing to abandon those massive buildings and celebrity cultures and find out whether the foundation holds. Each chapter offers their individual experiences and perspectives on a challenge facing the church and considers the way forward. Filled with deep introspection and keen insight, Next Sunday is a vulnerable conversation about what the church has been—and what it can be. Usually as a content creator, you're creating blogs, video content, and podcast. But there's multiple avenues to get your content and brand out there. Which all begs the question: have you ever wanted to publish a book? Writing a book is a natural segue for many bloggers, but the journey can seem large and long. In Summer of Live 2019, we talked to two Mediavine influencers who are both published authors: Jen Ruiz of Jen on a Jet Plane and Valerie Stimac of The Space Tourism Guide and Valerie & Valise. Jen and Valerie pack this episode with their honest individual experiences in publishing their own books, and give action-packed tips on how you can get started today. Make sure to tune in! It is July 11th, and we are in the Summer of Live. I'm Jenny Guy, Mediavine's marketing manager, and it is our month of beyond blogging. So we are talking about the things that tie to your blogging career but might be a little bit outside just the nuts and bolts of operating your website. But we are here and we are so excited today to be talking about book publishing. And I have two amazing guests. But book publishing can seem like a really natural segue for a lot of bloggers. It's an extension of you sharing that expertise that you're already sharing with your audience-- that's sometimes it-- and then other times, it can be the impetus for people to begin blogging in the first place. We've heard a lot of publishers tell us they're great authors, but they aren't able to quite navigate the system and get published, so they decide to start a blog so they can make use of their expertise and their writing skills. But whatever your experiences with book publishing, I'm here with two guests who are both highly successful publishers. We're really excited to have them-- both on their websites and with their books. So first I have Jen Ruiz. Hello, Jen. Welcome. JENNIFER RUIZ: Hi, Jenny. Thank you. JENNY GUY: Awesome. So she is the Mediavine publisher with the site Jen on a Jet Plane, where she writes about affordable female travel solo-- which I think is so fierce and amazing. She's a frequent conference speaker, and she also has her own TED Talk. No big deal there. And, exciting news, she just told me she is doing another TEDx Talk, which I'll have her tell us about a little bit later. But her current TED Talk that's already available for release is "The Power of Flying Solo," which is advocating for travel as a cure for what ails you. She's also a lawyer and the author of the books You Need a Vacation, which is about how to travel with a full-time job, which we all could use, The Solo Female Travel Book, which is tips and inspiration for women who want to see the world on their own terms-- who doesn't?-- and The Affordable Flight Guide, which is how to find cheap airline tickets and see the world on a budget. That last one I just mentioned, The Affordable Flight Guide, just happens to be a number one Amazon best seller. So she has a few things she's worked on. Jen, welcome, and tell us just real quick, what's going on with you in your life right now? I know that I spilled the beans on your TED Talk, but what else is going on? JENNIFER RUIZ: You did. I just got that notification minutes before logging on today. [INTERPOSING VOICES] JENNIFER RUIZ: Hot off the presses, important news. Otherwise, I have a couple of press trips coming up. I'll be, actually, taking a food trip to Grand Rapids, Michigan next week, which I'm so excited about. I worked out really hard today to try to earn my right to eat all the delicious things next week. I have a big move coming up.

Welcome to episode 49 of Holly Jolly X'masu! In this episode, I'll be wrapping up my discussion about Eiji Kitamura and his Christmas music, with his fantastic 2001 album, “Santa Clarinet.” While Akira Ishikawa's “Drum Christmas Drum” kicked off my interest in Japanese Christmas music, the Jazz, Group Sounds and Mood Kayo albums of the 1960s really cemented my obsession, while the City Pop Christmas music from the 1980s broadened my collecting horizons and led to me finding an even wider variety of music. One of the things I love about Eiji Kitamura is that he serves as a bridge from the earliest days of Japanese Pop music to today. He got his start around the same time Hibari Misora's “Hitoribocchi no Christmas” gave birth to Japanese Christmas Pop, so he has been an eyewitness to the genre as it's evolved. That's part of why I'd love to see him do an album where he covers all the big Japanese Christmas songs, from Kai Band's “Anna,” to Yumi Matsutoya's “Koibito ga Santa Claus,” Keisuke Kuwata's “Merry X'mas In Summer” and “White Lovers,” and, of course, Tatsuro Yamashita's “Christmas Eve.” I have a couple Jazz albums with covers of a lot of those songs, but having one from Eiji Kitamura would be something special, considering his long history in the industry. I hope you've enjoyed learning about Eiji Kitamura. Join me back here next month for my special 50th episode, where I'll be talking about the 1977 compilation, “Merry Christmas (Bouquet of Hearts Present Series),” from King Records. It's a great album in its own right with an interesting history, but it's also an instrumental album for me personally, not just in the way it helped me improve my research and collecting strategy, but in the long-standing connection it's given me with a like-minded collector in Japan. It's a double LP and will take a lot of work to prepare, so at this point I'm not sure what else I'll cover next month, but I'm sure I'll figure something out. Thanks!

The hit podcast show "Uncovering The Underground " returns after an extended hiatus with Season 2. Join host ICKUM aka Frater Crow as he interviews and hangs out with an amazing lineup of guests for this seasons episodes.Join us for Episode 13 as we hang out, interview and talk with New Jersey deathcore/death metal bank “Nights Of Malice”.Unleashing a relentless fusion of deathcore and death metal with the precision guitar attack of progressive metal, Nights of Malice was formed in Ocean County, New Jersey in 2009 under the name Tomorrow Never Comes. The group was founded by vocalist James Cook, guitarist Andrew Norris and drummer Joe Capasso. The trio was joined by guitarist Xavier Quiles and bassist Pete Irizarry later on, and the band released their first single "The Hindering" in 2014.

In Summer 2015, the band recorded a nine-track debut full-length, Aeonian, at AVI Studios with producer Jesse Avignone. Aeonian earned a potent buzz in metal circles, enhanced by extensive touring. Their next recording was a self- released EP entitled Our Penance launched in 2016, which, along with their hardworking tour schedule, helped get them quite a bit of traction. In the meantime, Nights of Malice had passed through a number of line-up changes, while simultaneously working on new material and playing live.

With almost three years in the work, Nights of Malice returned with a sophomore full-length release entitled Sonnets of Ruin in March 2019, which saw the guest performances by Thy Art is Murder's singer CJ McMahon and I Killed Everyone's Cody Harmon, with Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland handling mixing and mastering. Preceding the album release were three singles: two music videos for "A Myriad of Misfortunes" and "Throne of Shame," and a lyric video for "Gaea" which features CJ McMahon.

The band has never sounded as fierce or as hard hitting as they do on Sonnets of Ruin, despite it being their slowest and most atmospheric release yet. The instrumentalists have embraced their strengths and honed their instrumental prowess into, as most publications agreed, one of the most unpredictable and ferocious metal albums of the year.

Nights of Malice's current line-up: Brendan McGrath on vocals, Xavier Quiles and Mark Marin on guitars, Rick Smith on bass, and Joe Capasso on drums—this is definitely the most well-coordinated and solidified the band has sounded so far.

Summer's Complaint highlights the health aspects of DNA, the importance of knowing a genetic diagnosis and connecting with knowledgeable specialists, and sharing medical details with family. Kieger relates how in just a few short decades, the progress of medical genetics and cancer diagnosis has had a profound impact on her own life and others in her family. If anyone needs an example to point to as support for the importance of sharing DNA medical surprises with family, this episode of DNA Clarity and Support offers it! Although considered a rare disease, FAP affects many families around the world. Kieger gives listeners a short summary of what everyone should know about the condition and describes how the condition has had variable effects on different relatives in the family. Life with FAP is different for the younger people in her family compared to the past generations, with genetic testing now making it possible for younger family members to avoid the intense and often invasive medical surveillance that she and her siblings endured. Also learn how assisted reproductive technologies like IVF have altered the transmission of FAP in her and other families. From a story of learning about dominant hereditary conditions in a college lecture to the experience of losing multiple family members at too-young an age, Kieger's experience is relatable even for those who do not have a family history of hereditary cancer. The difference between being a “creator” and being a “consumer” in the Black and Brown communities. The conversations of money have been made “taboo” but it is one of the most important conversations that parents should be having with their children. In this episode V-Mac shares about overcoming the challenges of being born with Glaucoma to accomplish some of his greatest dreams and support the dreams of others. Vincent C. McDonald Jr. also known by his stage name V-Mac, is a Bahamian, singer, Producer, Entertainment Mogul, Philanthropist, and Motivational Speaker. McDonald was born in Nassau, The Bahamas to a middle-class family. At birth, doctors discovered that he had glaucoma, which blinded him in both eyes. McDonald spent a great deal of infancy in and out of surgery and doctors were eventually able to give him sight in his left eye. His right eye, however, was replaced with a prosthetic. At five, McDonald's parents gave him a drum set for Christmas. Unknowingly, they had given him the key to unlocking what many have described as a “prodigious and prolific” talent in music and entertainment. He taught himself to play and by age eight, he'd organized his first concert on his lawn. Before turning 15, McDonald developed a following, particularly in the gospel arena He began accepting invitations to perform at church and youth events as an artist. By the age of 14, He launched his first production company V-Mac Productions and Extreme Youth Entertainment. At the time, McDonald was the youngest gospel producer, singer, performer, record label owner in the Bahamian gospel genre – all while was still a freshman in high school. He began balancing the demands of producing events and school with his newfound hobby of media and television. The demands for performing and public speaking grew and McDonald also became a role model for a new wave of young gospel singers who combined modern elements with classic styles. Considering him peer instead of an old industry head, he began entertaining requests to help launch careers through music production, songwriting, composing and arranging, stage set up and music video production. After getting all of the camera equipment he needed in place, 16-year-old McDonald became the youngest Bahamian to host, film, direct and executive produce a nationally televised series with his Extreme Youth TV. After the overwhelming success of his television show, McDonald decided the time was right to bring out his own project. His debut solo album Elevation quickly climbed to the top of the charts in The Bahamas and Caribbean and launched him as a bona fide international artist. In 2010, McDonald took on two major projects – Partnering with longtime friend and Business Partner Lavard “Manifest” Parks in launching their own Internet radio station www.ultimatevibesradio.com, which was the premiere Online Radio Station for Caribbean Gospel Music. In Summer 2011, VMac then teamed up with upcoming Gospel Sensation Lyrically Blessed to release and co-produce their collaborative worship Album “The Way We Praise” McDonald has made no apologies for his Christian faith, He also has given back to the community, particularly to those with visual impediments.
