This week I ponder the influence our surroundings have on us. I've been noticing this in my life and those around me, how we unconsciously assimilate into the environment and culture we find ourselves in. From moms making tote bags for their kids to doctors' different lifestyles, it's evident that we mirror those around us. I discuss the importance of self-awareness and choosing our company wisely, as it directly impacts our beliefs and choices. By understanding our motivations and desires, we can break free from societal expectations and find our authentic path. Ultimately, it's about staying true to ourselves and embracing personal growth.Follow along on Instagram: @LindsaymakeswavesStay connected with all the latest happenings with LindsayShe Nets Worth: hairstylist's guide to going independent. Peer pressure is all around us. There is pressure from marketers, kids, friends, complete strangers, and all around us! What is peer pressure?Peer pressure, by definition, is “a feeling that one must do the same things as other people of one's age and social group to be liked or respected by them.”There is also active and passive peer pressure. Active is someone saying, “oh you gotta get a Tesla so you can be my bessie with a Tessie.” Passive is me seeing you have a Tesla and then really wanting one. I believe there is positive and negative peer pressure, otherwise known as good and bad influences. Keeping up with the Joneses is peer pressure at its finest. You're doing it for them, not for you.The good kind of peer pressure:We all want to feel accepted and valued by others. It takes courage and confidence to buck the trend. And some peer pressure can be good! Let's talk about that for a moment. The positive effects of peer pressure can include a sense of belonging and support, increased self-confidence, and learning new hobbies and interests. FI and FIRE are great examples of the positive effects of peer pressure. The whole reason and spirit of why we started this podcast were to get more friends to talk about money. Talking to your friends about money is a form of good peer pressure if you do it appropriately. If the peer pressure is motivating and encouraging, that's the sweet spot! But, if it starts making you feel bad about yourself, that's when you want to reassess things. More examples of the good kind of peer pressure: Felipe/Shannon sharing their expense tracking and budgets, Mike doing the same, a friend who wants to do a no-drinking month challenge with you, What strategies can help handle negative peer pressure? And how to find more of the good kind of peer pressure and get it into your life:Pay attention to how you feel. Recognizing peer pressure and being able to name it is half the battle. Plan and communicate. Pack special snacks if you know you're going to feel pressure to buy your kids snacks at the movie theatre with another family letting their kids buy whatever they want.Have a candid conversation with the person pressuring you. For example, tell them something isn't in your budget or how it makes you feel when they talk about a particular topic. Make up an excuse if you have to. For example, you may find with some people; you can't have a direct and candid discussion. You can't change everyone; you can only control yourself.Set boundaries and say no when you need to. Back up a no with a positive statement. You may need to be repetitive to ensure your boundaries and no one comes across clearly. How to find more of the good kind of peer pressure and get it into your life:Surround yourself with more of the people you truly want to emulate. “You are the sum of the people you surround yourself with.” Sum is the perfect word here cause it can add up quickly if you surround yourself with people focused on materialism and acquiring more and more.If you don't already have that community, go out and find it! It's online with things like Instagram, Facebook, and youtube. It's in person with local meetup groups and events like CampFI and EconoME.Invest in fostering friendships with similar values and beliefs. You have to put time and energy into friendships to foster them.Avoid people and situations that trigger peer pressure and don't feel right to you. Leave a situation if it feels uncomfortable. Encouragement to stick to your values in the face of peer pressure: It's hard enough for adults to do this; imagine if you're a developing teenager. With teenagers and kids specifically, give them opportunities to earn money through an allowance and extra chores. Then, let them manage that money and the decisions themselves with guidance from you. They need boundaries set for them; it's how they learn.Flip the script. Change your mindset and how you're contextualizing and adding perspective to these situations and decisions. It's all about balance and tradeoffs. Top 3 takeaways:There's good and bad peer pressure.Find more of the good. This is hard work. Don't beat yourself up too much if you succumb to peer pressure. But continue to work hard to overcome it.Show References:Friends on FIRE podcast #144 | Inflation is out of control! Host Greg Iwinski talks to Greg Mottola about leaning into the absurdity of the everyday, bringing a 70s-era whodunnit into the 21st century, our rediscovered love of murder mysteries, and much more. Writer and director Greg Mottola began his career with his 1996 indie dramedy film THE DAYTRIPPERS, for which he received a Golden Camera nomination at the Cannes Film Festival for best first feature film. He then went on to direct the hit 2007 coming-of-age comedy SUPERBAD, then wrote and directed the critically acclaimed 2009 film ADVENTURELAND, which earned him an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Screenplay. Since then, he has gone on to direct other film projects like PAUL and KEEPING UP WITH THE JONESES. Mottola has also directed episodes of several hit television series, including the pilots of FX's DAVE and HBO's THE NEWSROOM, as well as episodes of the THE COMEBACK, ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT, UNDECLARED, and THE DANGEROUS BOOK FOR BOYS. He most recently wrote and directed the crime comedy film CONFESS, FLETCH, which is based on the 1976 novel of the same name by Gregory Mcdonald and a reboot of the hit 1980s series starring Chevy Chase. CONFESS, FLETCH stars Jon Hamm as the roguishly charming and endlessly troublesome Fletch, who becomes the prime suspect in a murder case while searching for a stolen art collection. The only way to prove his innocence? Find out which of the long list of suspects is the culprit - from the eccentric art dealer and a missing playboy to a crazy neighbor and Fletch's Italian girlfriend. Crime, in fact, has never been this disorganized. The film will be released simultaneously in limited theaters and on paid digital streaming platforms on Friday, September 16, and will be available to stream on Showtime starting October 28. --- Before it was a podcast, OnWriting was a print publication. We do it all the time. We compare our friends vacations to ours. We compare our home to our neighbours. We compare our cars, marriages, kids, jobs, and so much more to everyone around us. As we look around we are certain that everyone, or at least many, have it better than we do. But, what if we are chasing after something that is not even real?

Recorded May 2, 2022Comparison is the Thief of Joy. Everyday that we scroll through social media (as just one example) we expose ourselves to the potential for it. Social media is an easy example. The issue is cultural. It's the American way to want to keep up with the Jones' or should I say the Kardashians. Rather than succumb to the temptation to determine our worth in comparison to others, we discuss healthier methods of self-evaluation and reflection. This is a replay of an episode that I recorded in February 2020 in a hotel room in Texas. My wife was attending a conference for pro-life health care providers. This was released on March 9, 2020 as episode 36 of Truthspresso. Social media allows us to keep in touch with long lost childhood friends from anywhere in the world. We can see their lives unfold day by day without even asking. But this technology has it's dark side. Many find themselves facing depression as they see all their problems while their friends seem to be living the dream. Amy from Forbes describes this plight. We take apart the misconceptions we infer from the lives of our friends on social media. Let the truth set you free as we use some tips to take control of social media addictions that cause depression and envy. In this episode, Trishul and Aaron start by comparing value versus momentum investing. They then go down the rabbit hole of why momentum strategies work (in theory). The behavior of humans wanting more and more has been around longer than the stock market. The Fear Of Missing Out and Keeping Up With The Joneses come from how we feel when making emotion-driven comparisons. And so, if you acknowledge these feelings, but then focus on the decision-making process, you may find you are happier in the end, regardless of the result.Episode ReferencesMMS #63. Untamed is written in 3 parts: Caged, Keys, Free. Although the book is written in short chapters that jump around both in time and topic, the book’s general structure supports the broader realization that the author wasn’t in the life she wanted or that was true to her. And then through realization and life changes, she finds that freedom. So we’re going to talk about the parallels to money. Because it’s all well and good to know you’re not happy or fulfilled, but there is a very real requirement in making a change and that’s money. In the prologue, the author tells a story about taking her daughter to the zoo and sees a cheetah. They are told that the cheetah leads a good life, but the author recognizes that even though the cheetah has its basic needs and leads a life that others determine to be “good”, it actually longs to be in the wild, despite being born in captivity. In Part I: Caged: Being caged is about doing what’s “right”, doing the things we “should” do, etc. We can all relate to this. How we are supposed to live our lives:How to look: Where to go to school:Where to live:What to drive:Where to work/what to be:Then, the lack of money traps us and puts us in a cage. Which I don’t think we even realize we’re in, just like the cheetah. But it doesn’t feel right. And many people find themselves in a life they can’t afford, in a job they don’t like, and totally unfulfilled. It’s this realization that leads people to FIRE. You don’t discover the community built around quitting your job unless you start searching for it.In Part II: KeysWhat are the keys to free yourself from the cage? Money is a powerful one. It allows us to step out for a moment to see what things could be like. The big one for us, is that annoyances or frustrations that would cause most people to drink and just bear it because they need money, causes us to say, “Do I even want to keep doing this anymore?”Maggie believes your mindset around stuff and happiness and “Keeping up with the Jone’s” is one of the most powerful keys because it helps you not spend all of your money. You aren’t trying to impress other people, and you don’t believe you’re suffering. Doyle says, “When a woman finally learns that pleasing the world is impossible, she becomes free to learn how to please herself.” It’s not about impressing someone else, learn that and you’re free. You have found the key to the cage.Your FI number is the key. If you want to have the freedom to make a big change in your life, you need “enough” money. And then you make the rules.Another key is finding passions. The author talks about feeling right and not, and a passion feels right when you find it. The author would call this, “feeling warm.” In Part III: FreeDoyle struggles with the idea that she should suffer by staying with her husband, in this life she doesn’t want, for her kids. One of the themes is that being a woman and mom is about being selfless, but she wants to be brave and set the example to live a life true to yourself. So, spoiler alert, she leaves her husband and marries Abby Wambach, the soccer player.Once you decided that you need to make a change and then you save like crazy, you can reach FI. Now what! You now have the freedom to lead an intentional life, not the life people are telling you to live.“We can do hard things.” It can be hard to save money and build wealth. It can be hard to resist temptation and not do what everyone else is doing.“Being human is not hard because you’re doing it wrong, it’s hard because you’re doing it right. You will never change the fact that being human is hard, so you must change your idea that it was ever supposed to be easy.”“What the world needs more women who have quit fearing themselves and started trusting themselves. What the world needs is masses of women who are entirely out of control.”“The braver I am, the luckier I get.”“I am a clinically depressed inspirational speaker. In this discussion we Tom we cover a number of topics, including:Tom has been a teacher in Chicago public schools for 25 years. He grew up in a middle class household, but he never really learned how money worked as a child. They did not talk about money a lot. When they couldn’t afford something, they just didn’t buy things. They didn’t talk about investing or how money can work for you. He was told to find a job with a good pension to take care of him. He didn’t realize how money works until his mid-40s.He eventually noticed he wasn’t really paying attention and he was spending all that he was earning. They had racked up credit card bills and were living paycheck to paycheck. They were leasing cars, using raises to buy more stuff, and one day they just got fed up with things.Lifestyle creep. They were aware of the pain of not being able to keep up and not do as much as their friends and family members are doing as their...embarrassment from falling into debt. One of the first times he was really aware was one summer when he didn’t have enough money to make it through the summer when he’s not receiving a paycheck as a teacher.Major turning point.. He was miserable and he didn’t know why. They felt out of control. They were counting on these future raises, but the lifestyle creep was killing them. He started watching all of these youtube videos and reading books and learned so much about better ways of managing their finances and living. Turning their finances around has improved their relationship and happiness levels. The best part is that they are communicating more, setting goals together, etc. They learned about zero-based budgeting and attached their budget with a vengeance. Within 3 years, he went from barely $300 left in their budget each month to $43K in cash, all of their debt paid off except for mortgages, and drastically changing their approach and relationship with money. Some of the ways they cut back include cutting back XM radio, magazine subscriptions, and changing SUV leases to more affordable cars. Tom has one rental property, and he shares how not to get into the rental property market. He would not recommend his approach to others, but it’s worked out OK for him in the end. Tom has read a lot of books, and his favorite recommendations are in the show links below.Tom shows that you can live within your means and achieve financial freedom on a teacher’s salary. It reminds us that having your finances in order is achievable at most salary levels. Tom believes you can better control your finances if you just take the time to learn this stuff. Tom shares some of the work he’s doing to improve transparency in the 403-B programs offered to teachers in his area. Tom shares what he is now teaching his kids about money. ---Show ReferencesTom’s blog: Whatthefi.comTom on instagram: @whatthefiguyBook: Rich Dad Poor Dad: What the Rich Teach their Kids About MoneyBook: Dave Ramsey - Total Money Makeover - a kick in the butt to attack debt, focused on the baby stepsBook: The Barefoot Investor: The Only Money Guide You'll Ever NeedBook: The Book on Investing In Real Estate with No (and Low) Money Down: Creative Strategies for Investing in Real Estate Using Other People's MoneyBook: The Simple Path to Wealth: Your road map to financial independence and a rich, free lifeBook: Millionaire Teacher: The Nine Rules of Wealth You Should Have Learned in SchoolBook: Retire before mom and dad Book: The Psychology of Money: Timeless Lessons on Wealth, Greed, and HappinessBigger Pockets Website + PodcastStockpile app he uses with his kids---Follow friends on FIRETwitterInstagramFacebookLinkedInLeave us a voicemail or text us: 404-981-3370eMail us at: friendsonfiremm@gmail.comVisit our website: www.friendsonfire.org---Other LinksMaggie’s Blog: Mostly Minimal LifeMike’s Book: Your New Relationship with Money

Read along to practice your English and to learn the English phrases KEEPING UP WITH THE JONESES and THE GRASS IS ALWAYS GREENER In this English lesson I wanted to help you learn the English phrase "keeping up with the Joneses." When we say that someone is keeping up with the Joneses or when we say they're trying to keep up with the Joneses, it means they're trying to buy all the same things that their neighbors have. Let's use this as an example, imagine you live in a neighborhood and everyone buys a brand new car and then because you see that everyone has a brand new car, you go out and buy a brand new car. We would say that you are keeping up with the Joneses or you're trying to keep up with the Joneses. It's an older phrase. I didn't think it was used very much anymore but I actually heard it used today. By the way, Jones is a very common North American name a very common American name, actually. So it's just the name we use for this phrase. So when you say that you are keeping up with the Joneses, it means you're buying all the same stuff that your neighbors are buying or all of the people around you are buying. The other English phrase I wanted to teach you today is the phrase "the grass is always greener." You probably know this phrase and I did already teach it in an earlier lesson. When you say the grass is always greener or the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence, it means that everything your neighbor has looks better than what you have. So when you look at your neighbor's house, you think oh, their house is so much nicer than mine. Maybe they have beautiful well behaved children, and they just have an awesome spouse and they have beautiful cars, expensive cars in the driveway. When you look at your neighbors things, belongings, and the people in their family and you think everything's better than what you have, we say that you're just thinking that the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence, because you don't really know what it's like. Maybe their marriage isn't so good. Maybe they fight all the time. Maybe the kids look really nice but they're actually not very well behaved. Maybe the fancy cars belong to the bank or they have a huge loan. So when you say the grass is always greener, it's kind of a cautionary thing saying things might look really good from far away, but you don't really know what they're like.So once again when you say that you are keeping up with the Joneses it means you're trying to have the same stuff as all your neighbors or friends or family. And when you say the grass is always greener, it's just a phrase we use to talk about how things might look better from far away but it doesn't always mean that they are.Hey, let's look at a comment from a previous video. This comment is from A A and A A says, "Excuse me, I would like to ask a question, when someone says that is awfully nice of him, does this have a good or bad meaning?" Well, this has a good meaning. And that was actually my response. It is a good thing. So we have the words awful and awfully and awful sounds bad, but we sometimes use it to talk about something good. So I can say this is awfully good ice cream or that was awfully nice of him. Those are positive statements. If I eat some really yummy tasty ice cream and I say, "Oh, this is awfully good." It's a good thing. It means that I really like it. If someone does something really nice and I say, "Oh that was awfully nice of them." It means that they did a good thing. So A A, thank you for the comment. When you use awfully in a sentence like that, it's definitely a positive thing. It's definitely a nice thing.Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/bobthecanadian)

In these extraordinary times, here's something lovely that I'm sure you'll enjoy. Thankfully "social distancing" doesn't get in the way of podcasting and Chris Chapman very kindly agreed to chat with me about his work on the Doctor Who: The Collection Blu-ray sets. Chris discusses how his films are driven by love for the series and explains the background behind making some of them. We talk about A Weekend with Waterhouse, Looking for Lennie, The Doctor Who Cookbook Revisited, Keeping Up With The Joneses, 3 versions of The Writers' Room and Showman. Chris also trails a couple of documentaries from the upcoming Season 14 set, Whose Doctor Who Revisited and Our Sarah Jane, plus a feature to accompany the Fury From The Deep animation. Please like or share our podcast with people who will enjoy it. You can rate us directly on Apple Podcasts or Podchaser.com The opening music is Three Guitars Mood 2 and, yes, that is Richard playing the ukulele and kazoo on possibly the worst ever version of the Doctor Who theme tune at the end.

Longtime friend of the show Dede Crimmins joins the guys this week to discuss what they know about the band Foghat. They have so many movies to talk about that they have a hard time figuring out where to begin. Dave goes first with lightning fast “Riedel’s Recaps” of BAD COMPANY (6:25), MENASHE (7:55), and THE BIG SICK (11:44), before Dede shares her top pics from this year’s Fantasia International Film Festival: MY FRIEND DAHMER (14:43), MOHAWK (18:15), and LOWLIFE (19:54). Then she, Dave, and Kris spoilerpiece ANNABELLE: CREATION (24:15), which is so creepy that Kris watched some scenes through his fingers. Next, Dave gives his one-minute take on GOOD TIME (49:41), a movie with Robert Pattinson making the best bad decisions, that he says is one of the best he’s ever seen. Following that, Evan reviews KEEPING UP WITH THE JONESES (51:49), a cute spy comedy that he’s surprised more people haven’t seen. Finally, Dave and Kris conclude with WIND RIVER (1:00:17), a procedural about a murder on an Indian reservation that they agree is one of the best films of this year.

It is often said that you cannot compare your beginning or middle to someone else’s end. But in a world full of social media sharing, thousands of blogs to read, and a growing to-do list, Keeping Up With The Joneses can feel like a full time job. In this episode, Sarah tells us how she built her blog and business without the distractions and fear of missing out, why she still has a side gig even though her blog is now wildly successful, and how to build trust and connection with your tribe that keeps you moving forward on your own path instead of looking all around you for guidance.

How much is enough? And where do you stop? It's easy to get all wrapped up in this whole concept of passive income and how smart it seems. Yet, you can work yourself crazy if you're not careful. You can work too much, do too much?but even vacation too much. Understanding the power of enough allows you to have a great business plan and a great vacation plan. Whether you're in online marketing or just have a small business, your strategy should be about "enough". ========== Some goodies To find more podcast options, go to http://www.psychotactics.com/podcast To get a short, yet beautiful headline report on "Why Headlines Fail", go to http://www.psychotactics.com ========= Time Stamp 00:00:20 Calvin and Hobbes Story 00:02:04 Keeping Up With The Joneses 00:03:37 Psychotactics: Our Definition of Enough 00:06:53 How Can You Overdo A Vacation? 0:09:25 Summary 00:10:40 Coming Up Next ======== Transcript: Power of Enough Sean D'Souza: There's a comic strip called Calvin and Hobbes. Obviously, many of you have read it. In one panel, Calvin is ramping up for Christmas and so is Hobbes. Calvin asks Hobbes, he says, "What did you get on your list for Santa for Christmas?" Hobbes says, "I asked him for a tuna sandwich," and Calvin goes ballistic. He's like, "How could you do that?! I asked him for a rocket launcher, a train," and he brings up a list that's a mile long. Of course, the scene shifts to the day that's Christmas Day and Calvin is stomping around the house shouting, "I'm going to sue Santa!" Obviously, because he's got nothing and there's Hobbes, ever the philosopher and saying, "Well, I got my tuna sandwich." At this point, I turn to people and ask them, "Do you know what your tuna sandwich is?" Before I get you all hungry for sandwiches, let's talk about the first episode. I don't know if you've listened to the first episode, but it was outsourcing versus magic. You need to go to number one and start listening from number one, not because they're in sequence, but just because the first episode is so important. It's just the philosophy and this is another philosophy piece. It's about the power of enough. What is the power of enough? What is our tuna sandwich? One of the things that probably drives us crazy is this keeping up with the Joneses. A good example would be just the three month vacation, so let's say you take three months off this year. Then what do you do next year? Do you take four months off? What about the year after next? Six months off? I could go on, but how long would I go on? Six, eight, ten, twelve? What is the limit? When we run our businesses, one of the quests is just customers. We want more and more and more customers and the reason for more and more customers is not because we love more and more customers, but because it represents money and it represents more money and more money and more money. For me, money is like fuel. It's like putting fuel in a car. It's finite. You have a fuel tank and you fill it up and then as it empties itself out, you make sure that you never run out of the fuel, but you don't go out there and you store up more and more and more and more because there is a price to pay and that price is that the whole thing might just blow up in your face one day. So we had to work out our own tuna sandwich. At Psychotactics, we had to define what was our enough. For instance, we have a membership site at 5000bc.com and when you go to 5000bc, you'll find that our membership hasn't dramatically increased from the year 2003, 2004. Considering the year that we are in right now, you'd say, "What's happened?", but the point is that we don't have to double or treble the number of members that we have currently. Sure, some members leave and you have to replace those members with other members, but there isn't enough. There is actually a benchmark at 5000bc of how many members we're willing to accept. The reason is very simple. It's like having kids around the place. I mean, you have x number of kids and you can handle them, you can look after them, but if you have an enormous number, you can't really give them your attention. The same thing applies to our courses. We do an article writing course. We do a cartooning course. We do copyrighting courses. We do a lot of courses online and we always have waiting lists. Now, when you consider that some of the courses are $3,000 or $5,000, it's very easy to sneak in a few and make another 10, 20, $30,000. Who's going to ask you? Who's going to say, "Hey, you've got three or four more." Who's going to say that? No one's going to say that. Still, we have a limit. We have our enough. If you come to a workshop like any workshop that we have; we don't have them very often because we know what is our enough, but when we do have a workshop, you have a maximum of thirty-five people in the room. Could we get more than thirty-five people in a room? Of course we could, but at thirty-five, we stop because once it goes beyond thirty-five, you stop becoming a teacher and you start becoming a preacher. It just becomes a blah blah session. You can't really help people. At least when it comes to work, we have our courses, our workshops, our membership sites. It's all based on a factor of enough, of a limit, a fuel tank and we're not going to overfill that tank. You might say that well, it's easy for you because you are already established. You've been in this business for over twelve years. What about me who's just starting out? The point is that our workshops, our courses, our membership site, they had these limits right at the start. It wasn't something we figured out along the way and while we did really well at work stuff, we didn't really figure out our vacation bit. When we started, we figure nine months of work and three months of vacation seems like a fair deal, but we didn't understand what the concept of the three months vacation was all about. We overdid it. Now, you'd say how can you overdo a vacation? But you can. The first year we took a vacation was in 2004. We had just started out business towards the end of 2002, so within a year of starting up, we just decided that's it. We're going to take a three month vacation and we took three months off and it drove us crazy. We weren't enjoying that time that we were supposed to spend because it seemed endless. It seemed like we had to fill in those days. Then of course when you come back from the vacation, there's this big void. You've not been working for so long, you don't feel like working anymore or for a very long time, so we had to juggle it a bit. We had to go okay, let's try six weeks and we tried six weeks and six weeks was too long. Then we tried four weeks and that was too long. Three weeks seemed just right, so three weeks plus a week of going back and forth to whichever place, so we never go directly to a place, we'd stop over for a couple of days. On the way back, we'd stop over a couple of days, so we're away one month at a time. We realize what is enough: Three weeks plus a week of travel and that is enough. But it's really crazy to have a running tally that continues to increase. You're continuing to add holidays or money or whatever to where you're just putting in more and more fuel into that tank. For what reason? While I'm an information junkie - I just love information. I'm learning in design and Photoshop and my camera, which is the X100, that's a Fuji film. At the same point, I'll be tackling lettering and studying some stuff on learning, etc., but even that has that point of enough. Often when I'm talking about how I go for a walk with my iPhone loaded with audio books and podcasts and stuff and people think well, you must be doing that all the time; you're completely crazy. Yes, of course, a person like that would be completely crazy, but today I was listening to Billy Joel and all of this summer, I will be listening to Andrea Bocelli, so you have to understand what is enough. This brings us full circle to Calvin and Hobbes. Sometimes, we just slip into the Calvin mode. We overdo stuff. We are built to overdo stuff. We want to be part of the human race where we're always going to just push our comfort zone quite a bit actually, so we always have to get into the Calvin mode and then decide I want to be like Hobbes sometimes. In fact, I want to be like Hobbes a lot. I want a tuna sandwich. So what's your action plan? It's simple, really. Think about it. How many customers do you want? How many people do you want at your workshop? How much money do you want to make from now to whenever, just a finite amount. Maybe even how much silence do you need? Everything with definition becomes a fuel tank and you fill it and you're happy and you have enough. Coming up next week, we have the bikini principle. Interesting topic, isn't it? It's appropriate because it's summer here in New Zealand. I know it's freezing in other parts of the world, but it's appropriate here. We're going to find out exactly what is this bikini principle and how does it apply to stuff that's not related to the beach at all? We learned a very good lesson when we were selling the brain audit about this bikini principle and it has stayed with me. It was one of the most read posts when we first had the consumption blog which no longer exists because there were too many blogs to manage, but it was one of the most read posts ever. If you've been a subscriber, then you know that you automatically get the downloads on your phone or on your computer if you subscribe to iTunes. You can also get our podcast on Stitcher and hopefully soon on SoundCloud and finally, if you don't have any of the above, then you can get the RSS feed, so go to Psychotactics.com/podcast and you can find the RSS feed there.
