Dr. Jayarajan Kodikannath, B.Sc, B.A.M.S, whom we lovingly call “Dr. J," is a world-renowned Ayurvedic doctor and the former President of NAMA (the National Ayurvedic Medical Association). An esteemed scholar, researcher, and teacher, he represents a lineage of Vaidyas from Kerala, India. His work includes leading research on Ayurvedic wellness solutions, with a recently patented herbal composition for managing metabolic syndrome disorders such as type 2 diabetes, obesity, and lipid imbalances.Dr. J is also the author of The Parent's Complete Guide to Ayurveda: Principles, Practices, and Recipes for Happy, Healthy Kids, a practical and user-friendly resource offering over 50 Ayurvedic wellness practices for children ages 3–16. With over two decades of clinical experience, he has focused extensively on pediatric health and mental well-being.Above all, Dr. J is a compassionate healer and educator, dedicated to sharing the consciousness-based teachings of Ayurveda across the globe. As Sasha's own teacher, he embodies the Divine Father and Ayurveda itself, guiding his students with wisdom, humility, and love.Today, in part one of our three-part series on Ayurveda for Happy and Healthy Kids, we explore a topic close to both our hearts. We begin with Prana—the primordial life force—its role in childhood development, and its impact on cognitive health. We also discuss:The Ayurvedic perspective on childhood growth and developmentCommon childhood imbalances and their root causesThe role of parents in their children's healthThe impact of stress and environmental factors on kidsThe controversial use of pharmaceuticals for behavioral challengesBreaking cycles of sleep deprivation for parentsBalancing structured activities with free, unstructured playtimeThe healing power of nature and the innate healing capacity within us allIt seems fitting that Dr. J wrote a book on conscious, loving Ayurvedic parenting—because that is exactly what he offers us as his students. He doesn't just teach Ayurveda; he embodies it, sharing from his heart rather than merely his vast knowledge. His wisdom flows effortlessly, granting all of us in his presence the blessing of Darshan—Divine sight.Send us a textSupport the showTo learn more about us, please visit www.OjasOasis.com Connect with us @ojasoasis on Instagram

Unfortunately for others, healing from chronic diseases isn't for them. With the usage of Cannabis and other THC products, people have had the chance to heal and even have much better health in life.  In this episode, Joanna Matson-Tandberg will share her experiences with cannabis and how it is transforming the medicine industry. Stay tuned! What you'll get out of tuning in: How can cannabis aid in the healing of a disease? Can you treat cancer with gummies or other stuff that is sugar-based? What is sublingual? After discovering more about each other and making the daily choice to develop a loving connection, they now have two children! Her mission is to help women to date with more ease and joy, less fear and anxiety. From there she aims to create authentic, meaningful, committed relationships with her clients. She ultimately wants to break the belief that true love is the kind that you see in a Hollywood movie and it only comes from the perfect partner, but rather it comes from within, and finding a person who matches that, where both partners are committed to growing together. Alexis believes that there is a lot of fear when it comes to dating and relationships. Julia Abramova is the founder of Jyoti Yoga & Healing and  Reiki Master. As an executive, Julia always looked to find inner balance and peace. Thus began her yoga journey in 2007 which led to becoming a certified yoga teacher in 2012. Soon after beginning her yoga teaching career, Julia realized that there was a need to work with students on a more individual basis in order to help them find peace and balance within their bodies. This desire to help led to further studies in: prenatal yoga, The Kaivalya Yoga Method and Prema Yoga Therapy program. Julia graduated from an advanced yoga teacher training at Pure Yoga as well as established herself as a Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) through the International Association of Yoga Therapists. Julia’s passion for learning natural healing practices brought her to Kerala Ayurveda Academy where she completed Ayurvedic Wellness Counselor program towards completion of their Ayurvedic Wellness Practitioner program. Along with learning about the inner workings of the mind/body/spirit connection through Yoga and Ayurveda, she always had a strong connection with energy healing. She would go on to become a Reiki Master in the Usui lineage, and a Certified Sound Healing Practitioner and Teacher through the Atma Buti International Sound and Vibrational School. Julia strongly believes that we are all capable of healing ourselves. Through her dedication to her students and a holistic approach Julia serves as a catalyst that ignites the healing fire within. Izumi is a rare ‘Japanese’ Ayurveda Practitioner. I met her at Kerala Ayurveda Academy where I started taking a special course. She went through breast cancer and was attracted by natural healing process that the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda showed her especially after going through invasive conventional medical approach. “Ayurveda is based on what the nature tells us and is the root of all other Eastern medicines.”, “Each of us is different, thus the treatment is also different even for the same symptom.”, “Anything can be medicine or the poison depends on the person”. What she tells us again give us a chance to think what we really are as a part of nature. Ayurveda is an ultimate customized medicine for each person and it is, I personally think, all medicine should follow that principal. - What is the fundamental philosophy of Ayurveda? - What is the Ayurvedic approach towards diseases? - The ayurvedic idea between digestion and Immune strength. - What are your body types? Three types of people - Doshas. - What is the most important thing for eating? - How does Ayurveda see chronic diseases? etc. Enjoy.
