Podcast Intro: We are now experiencing extreme weather events and conditions predicted for 30 years or more. And this is just the beginning. This is the hour when Mother Nature gets rolling. The important thing for people to realize is that the EPA has many levers under the Toxic Substances Control Act. For example, they can regulate the industry with a fee and dividend so that they charge taxes on the fossil fuel industry. And those taxes are 100% refunded to the public, based on the public's financial needs. Dr. Lise Van Susteren is an expert on climate change's physical and psychological impacts and was behind implementing the Toxic Substances Control Act. Today, Cate and Lise Van Susteren will talk about the power of the Toxic Substances Control Act and its effect on large industries, how politics is hugely involved in protecting the environment, and the emotional effect on every individual. What you'll get out of tuning in: How does Toxic Substance Control Act work? How large can the Toxic Substances Control Act affects industries? How the Politics block things, not the public? How do environmental problems affect an individual's emotional state? Links/CTA: Sign the petition here >>> CPR Initiative All the FAQs about the petition >>> FAQs Read what Wash Post columnist Eugene Robinson wrote Leonardo DiCaprio With Elon Musk Deciding that carbon dioxide is a toxic substance defined by law would only be the first step. The EPA would have to formulate and implement rules that could, for example, impose a fee on carbon emissions and require companies to remove carbon from the atmosphere they have already expelled. But it's all there in black and white in the Toxic Substances Control Act, which passed and was amended with bipartisan support. Textualists will have to tie themselves in knots to explain why the law's words don't mean what they clearly say. Highlights: Cate tells her story when she is at Carleton College in the year 1995. Cate tells her story about when she was in the Massachusetts high schools Cate tells her insights about Elon Musk's Electric Cars Timestamps: [3:08] Toxic Substance Control Act [8:34] Scale of Industry [14:42] The Political World that blocks things [20:11] Growing Problem in emotional toll on individuals and community [22:46] Organization Cate started in Highschool [30:11] Can the next administration reverse the Toxic Substances Control Act [31:16] What can people do [33:19] Elon Musk's Electric Cars Quotes: Frankly, it's not the public so much anymore. It's the political world that is blocking things. And it's just a few people. You get the people who care the most, are the most sensitive, and they'll become the most depressed and despondent on not wanting to reproduce. If we want to change society, it's by connecting with the people that were connected to. So that's one of the key elements that people don't always realize. We have the power to design the future the way we want, the way we know, and we should, ethically. We're spending about $150 billion a year on cleanup. And suppose you take the national average inflation-adjusted. In that case, that's about three times the amount in the 40 years before the last five years and three times the annual amount we used to need to clean up after extreme weather. Guest Bio: Lise Van Susteren Dr. Lise Van Susteren is a general and forensic psychiatrist in Washington, DC, and an expert on the physical and psychological impacts of climate change. Van Susteren is a Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at George Washington University and has been a consultant to the Executive Branch of the US government profiling world leaders. After receiving her medical degree from the University of Paris she practiced medicine in West Africa, at community health centers and homeless shelters in metropolitan Washington DC. Podcast Intro: Many individuals compare some of the long-term side effects people are experiencing to long-term COVID after receiving the vaccine. According to estimates, 30% of those who catch COVID develop a long COVID. But it's an unknown factor. The countries where glyphosate is widely used are those where it accumulates in crops and enters the food chain. Glyphosate exposure, which we frequently experience, interferes with our immune system's ability to combat the virus. Everyone who received the vaccine is suffering from the same impact. If you have a strong immune system, you can handle the vaccine. Dr. Stephanie Seneff is a senior researcher at MIT and has been working on studies with mRNA vaccines. Today, Cate and Dr. Stephanie will talk about COVID, COVID vaccines, how food affects an individual's immune system, and how glyphosate plays an essential role in agriculture. What you'll get out of tuning in: How to tell the difference between longtail COVID symptoms and vaccine effects How glyphosate disrupts the innate immune system How spike protein starts damage within our body How vaccines make it worse How glyphosate plays an essential role in agriculture How vaccinated people can still shed virus How vaccinations impact fertility How do someone clear heavy periods and massive blood clots Links/CTA: Listen to other podcast episodes: What is Medicine? It probably does. Through the viruses, once you have and have stress, your immune system is weak, and the viruses come in and take over. The herbs are so important. The American diet kind of ignores those things. It's just potato chips and hamburgers and soy protein bars. Nitrous oxide is 100 times worse than carbon dioxide as a greenhouse gas. I think you need to have a healthy immune system if you've got a weak innate immunity. Everything's going to happen slower because you depend upon your immune cells to remove the things that are bad, and it's particularly the spike protein itself. Podcast Intro: When it comes to climate change, we've all heard about droughts and flooding and the impact on agriculture and infrastructure from extreme weather events such as hurricanes. However, we may not hear as much about climate change's physical and mental health consequences. Natural disasters can negatively impact health and emotional well-being. People who are affected by extreme weather events and slow-moving disasters, such as droughts, face a wide range of challenges in their lives. Mental health repercussions of climate change events include mild stress and anguish, high-risk coping behaviors such as increased alcohol use, and occasionally mental disorders such as depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Dr. Lise Van Susteren is an expert on climate change's physical and psychological impacts. She earned her Ph.D. in Geography at the University of Groningen, Netherlands, and has been researching climate change since 2007. She has written several books on the subject, including The Heat Is On: The Science, Politics, and Solutions to Global Warming (2016) and The Climate Crisis: Dispatches from the Front Lines (2017). In this episode, she shares knowledge on climate change, how it affects the health of many people, and what actions we must take to get better. Podcast Intro: Men are expected to be strong and mighty. This causes them to keep everything to themselves, not wanting to appear weak. They often keep their emotions to themselves as they believe that they will be used against them once they show their weakness. This prevents them from being happy as they have to pretend what society has imposed on them and hide their feelings. In recent years, society has developed a variety of demands that require a variety of approaches. To meet these demands, men need to adapt. The process of understanding what needs to be done involves growth and development. Angus Nelson is a coach and the founder of Evolve Men Coaching. He is among the nation's leading performance strategists as he helps ambitious men achieve freedom, happiness, and purpose. You're going to be chasing that all the time. It's filling your life with the things that naturally and effervescently give you happiness and joy.” “Until a man knows who he is, he can never become or be anything outside of that.” “All that identity shifting we did in the beginning now brings about these new opportunities. Because you've upgraded yourself, you want to attract your brain and this equilibrium to attract these higher frequent levels, relationships, experiences, and opportunities.” “Just like everything else, we attract what we are. If we're trying to pursue these great and mighty things, what we find is that those great and mighty things are filled with emptiness. Because we're doing them out of the pursuit of validation.” “Transformation in your life is nothing more than having a context of tools that help you advance your understanding, yielding, and letting go.” “I'm giving myself permission, and that permission is all the power you need.” Guest Bio: Angus Nelson Angus is a man on a mission. "There are opportunities everywhere you look all the time, all the time, and they keep getting better. You know what to say yes to, and that's what you choose to do with your focus." "The culture is so toxic that you don't design your own lifestyle super intelligently. Like you cannot assume that like the normal around you has the right answers." "Trust increased communication and all that's coming from like, you're more honest in yourself because intermittent fasting is going to take out it's going to refine self at the heart of it."
Podcast Intro: Glyphosate is the active ingredient in Roundup, the world's most commonly used weed killer. Over 300 million pounds of glyphosate-based herbicide are sprayed on farms and foods yearly. Agrochemical companies claim that glyphosate is safe for humans, animals, and the environment. But scientific studies suggest otherwise. Glyphosate has created a deadly disruption of the gut microbiome. Its effect on protein synthesis and the body's ability to use and transport sulfur has greatly affected human health for the past decade. In this episode, Dr. Stephanie Seneff talks about the effects of Glyphosate and how it is destroying our Health and Environment. She also talks about what happens if you don't eat organic food and its immense effect on the human body. What you'll get out of tuning in: Sulfate is a vastly overlooked molecule playing many crucial roles in human metabolism. Glyphosate (the active ingredient in Roundup) greatly disturbs sulfate homeostasis in the body. Many biologically active molecules containing carbon rings transport sulfate throughout the body. Heparan sulfate is a complex sulfated polysaccharide that populates the extracellular matrix of most cells and is essential for the lysosomes to recycle cellular debris. It also controls neurodevelopment in the brain. Heparan sulfate deficiency in the brain ventricles is a characteristic feature of autism in humans and mice. Serotonin is an important neurotransmitter whose deficiency is associated with obesity, depression, and violent behavior. Serotonin is produced in large quantities in the gut and then sulfated before being transported to the brain. Cholesterol sulfate, synthesized in the skin in response to sunlight, is another important source of sulfate for the brain and the body. Endothelial nitric oxide synthase synthesizes nitric oxide and sulfur dioxide, switching between the two based on received signals from the blood. Nitrate and sulfate are the yin and yang controlling blood flow. She will be less protective of the food she's putting in their body. And it's all these breakdowns that happened in human consciousness. We have to always think about safety first because there are so many chemicals we're putting out into the environment with inadequate study. We don't realize how toxic these things can be.” “Fermentation is complicated because it can actually introduce new metabolites that could be toxic. But it also takes away metabolites that are toxic. Things are not toxic if your livers are working. Enzymes in the liver are crucial for metabolizing many of these complex molecules that are made by these microbes, and so it becomes liver toxic if the liver can't use those enzymes to break it down.” “As you're not being poisoned, your body can handle things like sunlight very well and use it to its advantage to using it as a source of energy. But the things that you need to do that get messed up by the poisons, then it becomes toxic.” “Go buy organic and explain to your neighbors and relatives why they should also go buy organic and get them to do it.” Guest: Stephanie Seneff Dr. Stephanie Seneff is a Senior Research Scientist at MIT's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. She also talks about the issues of Health Care regarding addiction, how she used Yoga to heal from alcoholism, and the emotional and mental health issues surrounding addiction. Personal story being a child of an alcoholic, becoming alcoholic myself in my teens, finding yoga in my mid-20s, a few suicide attempts, and losing my mother to alcoholism when I was 32 years old. Shortly after, I was fired from a job I was headhunted into. Then I “did a geographic”— moving from London to Lake Tahoe to take a year off and sort myself out. But “wherever you go, there you are,” and after nine months in the United States, my new life was in shambles. I once again felt desperate, but this time I took myself to a meeting of AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) 18 months sober, allopathic medical professionals offered me antidepressants for their diagnosis of clinical depression Book Yoga of Recovery, Integrating Yoga and Ayurveda with Modern Recovery Tools for Addiction - YoR works with people who have a sex addiction, eating disorders, codependents with no substance abuse, and others where substance abuse is present but it is not the primary presenting issue. I work with people 16–84 years old; those who are members of 12-step programs and those who are not. We offer help to those who want to come off the pharmaceuticals they have been prescribed but find they are now dependent on them. What you'll get out of tuning in: We talk about the roots of the addictive behaviors: the main causative factor is the ego, the idea of having disconnection from spirit, disconnection from life. How Ayurveda is a foundational behavioral health care system that can help people thrive in long-term (emotional) sobriety spread addiction - it's not just about alcohol and drugs! addiction is treated by the acute care model but needs a continuum of care from recovery-oriented systems of care - a chronic care model - and overall CARE rather than CURE which tends to be mainly at the level of pharmaceuticals and surgery - but this does not work so well for problems of addiction article: Ayurveda Journal of Health I truly believe Ayurveda is the best system of behavioral health care for all modern chronic diseases. sobriety, service, and fellowship (the three pillars of 12-step principles) Addiction is a bio-pscyhosocial-emotional-cultural-economic-political, etc. “character defects” that underlie all addictions—the one that is most ubiquitous being our tendency toward codependency—our ability to see in the other what is wrong but not be able to see or deal with it in ourselves “Svastha”— and addiction UT and “Svastha” This was very interesting to me as it fits with what I'd been told in AA—that addiction was a “spiritual malady” and I was “spiritually sick.” Ayurveda describes all diseases as “forgetting our true nature is spirit.” Dr. Harikrishnan, Medical Director of Vaidyagram Ayurvedic Clinic in Coimbatore, India, states, "Addiction arises when we lose the purpose of our life. Vedic literature tells us we only get a human birth after several thousand other lives. The purpose of human life is to evolve, to go to a further level. When you have a bigger purpose, this guides you better in how to live each day. PK and recovery to reset cellularly. Dr. Harikrishnan, “We recommend cleansing the body through PanchaKarma-this eliminates the toxins and allows you a break from the circumstances-time away to cleanse and calm down, introduce new practices, change your lifestyle, and feel the effects of the new habits. It takes three months for food to go to the seventh tissue; within three months, our body is completely changed. Hence it is ideal for spending a minimum of six weeks to three months in a staged recovery process.” YoR offers Ayurvedic Pancha karma retreats in India. Out-of-pocket spending vs. what is covered by gov't or insurance. The first stage is the deep cleanse; the second stage is learning both the principles and tools of Yoga and Ayurveda to help us make better decisions, and the third stage gives time to offer service to the others-the best way to get out of self. This increases confidence and self-esteem and allows us to share the gifts of our recovery with others. We then go back to live our lives knowing that we have a purpose, feeling calmer and stronger, knowing our capacity, pacifying Vata by eating properly and applying oil daily. Podcast Intro: Using strategy sessions with any kind of client, dealing with any kind of issues, to determine what goals they have will definitely help you. What challenges does this person face in achieving those goals? Why does this matter right now to this person? Then, do they have the willingness to invest and change? Getting the most out of anything should be everyone's goal especially when learning things. Doing this ensures that time isn't wasted on things that are unnecessary. Focusing on a specific goal will help a lot in undertaking such a task. In this episode, Cate talks about how you can do all those things. She will share some stories that relate to these predicaments and how she went about solving them. Stay tuned! What you'll get out of tuning in: How do you get a lot out of something? So you are the whole and you are separate.” (16:39) (Cate) “If we actually look at the habits of modern culture - or what I call conventional culture - the habits of conventional culture leads to chronic inflammation which leads to chronic disease which is the number one killer worldwide.” (24:48) (Cate) “The people who are already turned on got more turned on. There are a few people who are getting turned on who got more turned on. The problem was that the narrative in the media globally was the message that you're the victim of a virus, which is largely known as Germ Theory.” (30:39) (Cate) “These habits that re-wild us are the ones that really turn on our physiology and our neuroplasticity. They're called positive stressor habits. Not all stress is the same. Some stress is when you do the hard thing and that hard thing makes you smarter and more able to do hard things in your life, which really changes the outlook of your future.” (44:39) (Cate) “Urine therapy goes way back. The Buddha talked about it. It's in the three main ancient Ayurvedic texts from about 2,000 years ago. Unfortunately for others, healing from chronic diseases isn't for them. With the usage of Cannabis and other THC products, people have had the chance to heal and even have much better health in life. In this episode, Joanna Matson-Tandberg will share her experiences with cannabis and how it is transforming the medicine industry. Stay tuned! What you'll get out of tuning in: How can cannabis aid in the healing of a disease? Can you treat cancer with gummies or other stuff that is sugar-based? What is sublingual? Podcast Intro: What does it mean to put your wisdom into action? What does that mean exactly, and what does it have to do with time? What does this have to do with growing up or getting older? Our bodies should get smarter over time. For wisdom to be embodied, you have to live it, which means you have to do the things you know. In many ways, we're stuck in allopathic ways of thinking and beliefs. We live in a culture where allopathy is the norm. It's hard to see things from someone else's point of view unless we've somehow risen above our own culture and understood other cultures on a cultural level. Only then do we have the freedom to choose. What you'll get out of tuning in: Can you trust yourself? What's a woman's I Ching? How can you give yourself your own parameters? Because my tendency throughout my life has been to be quiet. Just sit there and be stubborn not to do what people want me to do. But just think about the fact that I'm doing that too much, not just settle with it. Think about it too much. Think about it, okay, I'm stubborn, I'm not doing this thing because the only way I can have control over anything in my life is by not doing the thing.” “From the Vedic tradition, they were very clear about these teachings. If your mind is spinning, you are burning the depth of integrity of your immune system. You're either dispersing it or you're burning it. And so what does this mean? This is so fascinating how resting with ease and full awareness is the practice. It's a choice. It's a habit.” “Where the senses go, the mind goes. We have to choose, we have to be careful about how we do our sense of organ self-care, and we have to be careful about taking the time that has nothing going on. So that the mind can unwind a bit.” “You take something if you pull a card like that in the I Ching. And now as a time of waiting, that's how you are able to take action still. So it's not procrastination. It's a conscious engagement with tabling something and building deeper energy in the process.”

Podcast Intro: There's too much stuff in our emotional body that we're not processing. We're just covering up small bits and pieces of food as we go. [29:13] What happens if you don't have Autophagy? Quotes: “The number one habit that's creating chronic inflammation is eating too frequently. It's a modern culture where we snack late and sit on our asses way too much. We prefer convenience over real food, we make decisions to make us feel good in the short term. They don't make you feel relaxed and aware and like you have all the time and all the money that you need. We end up worrying too much and sacrificing sleep. Those are all a result of decreased neuroplasticity from eating too frequently.” “As you become more integrated with your physiology through the fasting habit, you actually can activate the deeper muscles of your soul and your abdominal transverse. That also gives you tone in your lower belly, which gives you tone and your lower back. It gives you tone in the side abdominals. What that does is actually accentuates your waist-to-hip ratio. You're also supported in your lower chakras.” “The more you actually understand your physiology, the more you can get yourself to skip a meal.” “We have been evolving with bacteria and viruses. Viruses are a much bigger subset of genetic diversity than bacteria. You have your human DNA cells, you have your microbiome cells, and then you have your virus, which is huge and expansive. Our physiology is meant to constantly adapt to what's coming in. We don't get to adapt if we don't have lysosomal action. If that's all going to digest food, you are depleting your adaptability. That will accelerate your aging and it leaves you very vulnerable to new viruses and bacteria entering the evolutionary cycle alongside mammals. It's nothing to be afraid of, but you should know how it works.”
Your health and wellness has a big impact on your business and there are a lot of opinions about what being healthy looks like. Social and cultural norms often take precedence, along with quick fixes. The truth is that change and evolution, both in business and in your health and wellness, take time. This week on the podcast, Cate Stillman is sharing her expertise around integrating changes into business, doing hard things, getting uncomfortable so you can evolve, designing your lifestyle, taking care of chronic issues, and so much more. What Cate has to say is controversial for many because it goes against everything the masses believe in our culture. But isn't that an even better reason to have this conversation? It's important to open minds to new ideas and ways of doing things and to truly look at the science behind why we feel the way we feel and do the things we do. I hope you'll tune in with an open mind and think about how you can let go of some of the challenges that might be holding you back. Podcast Intro: What are your beliefs around health, healing, and disease? You might have experiences that you have individually experienced, and there are also universal energy experiences or unity consciousness experiences that are also part of your experience box. But you can't know everything on some level. In this world, there is a lot to learn. Do a bit of exploration. When you hear someone else tell you about their experience, it becomes part of your own. You can have direct perception experiences and experiences in different levels of consciousness that aren't always conscious states. As you investigate your beliefs about the mind, return to what experiences have led you to those beliefs.” “It doesn't have to be obvious to anyone but you because you're just relying on your experience of what's obvious.”

Podcast Intro: A lot of people experience Weight Creep, a phase where we suddenly gain weight, and they find it hard to reverse the effects. Some just accept while others are determined to fight the weight gain. It's easy to think that Intermittent fasting, working out, and proper dieting is the solution to weight creep. But what if there is an underlying layer to the issue of gaining weight? In this episode, Cate will talk about Weight Creep, what is going on with the body when gaining weight, and why it is a big deal. What you'll get out of tuning in: How to fight weight gain How to fight hunger while fasting How to prevent dysmetabolism How long you should do intermittent fasting How to find the root of why you are gaining weight Links/CTA: https://yogahealer.com/form-body-goals/ https://yogahealer.com/ If you want to start intermittent fasting, go to https://yogahealer.com/if-course/ Highlights: Cate says that weight creep is chronic inflammation. The body is in a constant state of high alert and is releasing inflammatory chemicals. It heavily affects the fat cells, blood cells, and the body's many different systems and can be a cause or consequence of multiple diseases. Cate shares that she has been in health and wellness since she was 16. She shares that she had a weight creep at the time when she first got into health and wellness, trying to find the cause of her migraines and allergies. She would read books about health and wellness trying to find answers. Cate shares that she had been pushing her body where she would only snack on dark chocolate. She didn't know that she was already fasting until she got into the world of intermittent fasting. She says that there was a part of her that was thinking too much about food. If we look at the habits, it's like inflation where there's a problem. Solving the problem would require work. But you don't want to do the work and so, you just print money. The same thing is happening with negative stressors where our weight is creeping.” “When you do the hard work, even if it's simply hard work, everything gets better. Everything gets better, even with the problems underneath the weight. We want to look at the problems underneath the weight.” “Think of yourself so much more as a closed system than an open system. We are so incredibly durable as mammals, which can be seen with our pets. We are built for survival. We are not built in a delicate way like our entire ancestral past.” “It's not about forcing the body to fast longer. It's about finding deep satiation in life. Podcast Intro: A well-functioning immune system protects the body against sickness and infection. When the immune system fails, it destroys healthy cells, tissues, and organs by mistake. These attacks, known as autoimmune diseases, can damage any region of the body, compromising bodily function and potentially posing a life-threatening hazard. You can imagine that if your cells are attacking each other, there isn't much balance or harmony in the body, which isn't a good foundation for good health. It requires balance and harmony to function properly. So, how do we give our bodies the balance they require? Tune in as Cate talks about the correlation of autoimmune with habits, and what can you do to target the root cause of this dreaded illness. "The endocrine system is the big communicator of the body. If we understand that the fatty tissue of the body is an endocrine system right then we have to understand that like okay, the stakes are high if we're carrying too much weight." "In terms of personality, people with more Vata, or wind in their type, the lighter type, so they'll naturally be excited, they'll naturally be fun to be around, light-hearted, quick to remember, quick to forget, and quick to forgive." "It's easy for anybody to feel overwhelmed, and what we need to correlate is that overwhelm is an emotion of inflammation. If we entertain that emotion, meaning we don't do something to change our emotional state, what can happen that can turn the tide of a symptom of autoimmune into a disease of autoimmune." "One of the scariest things about negative bias is it decreases your neuroplasticity. It makes you less able to learn something new. Negative bias to become less capable of diet and lifestyle changes." Guest BIO: Cate Stillman Cate Stillman started Yogahealer.com. In general, it's created by chemistry in the lab. And the issue is that if we don't understand the underlying cause. We never get to the root of the problem of what is causing allergies, asthma, or autoimmune conditions. If we don't get to the root of the issue, then what happens is that issues stack on top of each other.” [07:23] “Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease. It is important to understand that asthmatic airway are also characterized by remodeling a term used to define complex morphologic changes involving all the structures of the bronchial wall.” [14:13] “Bacteria, viruses, archaea, and fungi are there for the functionality of your lung tissue. They're not human DNA cells. They're bacterial and viral cells. When the microbiome of your lungs is happy and healthy, you're not inflamed. If anything, they increase oxidative stress because they're naturally more acidic in our physiology. Many of the antihistamines will also have side effects that let us know that there's actually an increase in load on our system. Side effects might be drowsiness, dry mouth, blurred vision, or headaches.” “If we don't have fermented foods and enough fiber in our diet for the microbiome and the colon to thrive on, what happens is our oxidative stress starts to happen cellularly in the digestive tract first. Allergies are complicated. But you want to get to the root cause of it. When you do, you get all these side benefits instead of having all these side effects.” “The longer you do intermittent fasting, the more you can break all food combining rules. But if you have allergies or autoimmune conditions, you have to nurture your digestion and pay attention to food. Combining these basic rules of food combining can be a total game-changer.” “The body's super intelligent. It's hyperreactive to the environment with allergies. What it's trying to do is try to flush out some of the inflammation. It's trying to enter deeper levels of hydration and flow. When we take the anti-histamine, it actually disrupts the body's natural response to flushing out the allergen and also flushing out the inflammatory response.”

Podcast Intro: Is it possible to drink your own urine and be healthy? The idea of putting something back into the body that the body appears to be discarding may sound weird at first. But what we don't know is that drinking urine or “Shivambu” has many benefits. Throughout history, our ancestors have been using urine to treat illnesses and improve their overall health. In the treatment of chronic diseases, urine therapy has proven to be a highly effective and drug-free alternative. It can be adopted by anyone including young children. The sole ingredient required is a material produced by the body itself and rich in mineral salts, hormones, and other important substances. But how can you ensure that the wastes flushed out with your urine aren't taken back in? Why is urine regarded as the best tonic available for the immune system? Megan MacDonald is one of the many people that has been doing Urine Therapy. She shares with us how it changed her life and why people should not stigmatize the practice. Learn there is to know about Urine therapy. What you'll get out of tuning in: Why Cow Urine is Beneficial to the Body Why Drinking Urine Boosts Overall Health How Our Ancestors Learned About Shivambu How Society is Learning More About Shivambu Links/CTA: https://yogahealer.com/ https://www.yogahealer.com/allergy-relief https://yogahealer.com/book https://yogahealer.com/free-workshops/ Highlights: In Sanskrit, words matter. There's nothing random about that language in general. It's not like a new word becomes a hit because a bunch of teenagers made it up and it became cool later. So you're dealing with ancient languages that have a lot of intentionalities based on vibration and based on deep historical meaning. Cate says that during a Bitcoin conference, she and other people were talking about drinking urine. That means that drinking urine is already out in the biohacker community. Cate says that it will take the edge off for people who are curious and looking to learn about drinking urine and those who might not be at the biohacker level. Cate says that she is much more curious about Cancel Culture and its edginess. She wants to know if it matters in society if one cannot stand for truth. Podcast Intro: Taking medication is a normal part of many people's daily routine, and these medications are used to treat disease and promote health. Although medications can help you feel better and recover, it is vital to understand that all medications, both prescription and over-the-counter, have risks as well as benefits. The advantages of drugs are the beneficial results they provide when used, such as decreasing blood pressure, curing infection, or relieving pain. But what are the chances that anything unfavorable or unexpected may happen to you if you utilize them? How can you assess the risks and advantages while deciding which medications to use? How can lifestyle change, diet, and medication help you control chronic diseases? When the advantages of treatment outweigh the known hazards, the FDA considers it safe enough to approve. However, before using any medicine, as with many other things you do on a daily basis, you should weigh the benefits and risks in order to make the best decision for you. There isn't an entire mechanism established in terms of scientific rigor for testing lifestyle changes.” “It just doesn't make sense to me to allow a drug to be advertised as preventing cardiovascular disease. When you have included lifestyle changes as an arm in the study. It's just so crystal clear that the purpose of the study is to sell the drug. It's not to prevent cardiovascular disease.“ “We know why drugs can't get to the root generation of chronic inflammation, but can alter how the body responds to chronic inflammatory habits. But how overdosed are we and does that hinder reversing chronic?” “Humans as a species are drugged at epidemic inflationary rates.” “Because drugs don't sell themselves, the drug makers buy media in the form of advertising, which in the US is largely unregulated.” “Almost half of all ad dollars are centered on prescription drugs to treat chronic conditions like arthritis, diabetes, and depression.” “The conglomeration of the food industry, advertising industry, Big Pharma and healthcare, and big media make short-term gains for stockholders at the expense of overdosing the population. Podcast Intro: Cate and Geoff Mackenzie talk about how to set reasonable and attainable goals in order to achieve Geoff's desired level of success. Geoff admits that when he first launched YHC, he had no idea who he was as an entrepreneur and had allowed his work ethics to deteriorate over the previous decade. Geoff realizes he needs to take things to the next level by setting SMART (specific, measurable, actionable, realistic, and time-bound) goals. Cate also mentions that if Geoff forms a men's group, it should be approachable and enjoyable. It must also be a place where men can be themselves and let their hair down! These men are stable, have pensions, and long-term jobs, but they haven't been taking care of their own bodies and don't really know-how. What you'll get out of tuning in: How to set realistic, yet audacious & inspiring goals. How to set and hit SMART goals. How to market to a men's group. Working: GAIN THINKING! (looking back to see what I've learned, how I've helped my group, etc.) Asking for help and accountability Calendar integrity/scheduling/planning (eg, free talks, marketing, any task) Attending calls, work parties, and meetups keep me connected and inspired. Taking the risk of setting up an internship and delegating to them (in the process) Not Working: -Allotting too much time for tasks that could be done faster Not working with my preferred audience/niche Too many other projects..? (yoga program, YTT, men's group,) Unrealistic expectations/feelings "behind" Having a Youtube premium account LOL! (easy distraction) Links/CTA: Identity Evolution on the Yoga Health Coaching Career Path with Annie + Cate How to Build Dynamic Groups with Cate Stillman First Light Yoga Highlights: Turn your BHAG into a SMART goal! Cate Stop marketing to yourself. Cate Your avatar is someone who hasn't lived the life of their dreams but actually people who need to work. Cate Timestamps: [3:29] Where are you not doing the right activities? [19:52] Do a lot of testing and see what naturally grows. [20:18] Your avatar is different, it's someone who hasn't lived the life of their dreams. [20:39] Everything is stable in their lives, work, pension, etc, but their body is a wreck! [21:27] It's gotta be cool, funny, and approachable, that's way too psychospiritual, you already lost me! Quotes: I had let my work ethics slide and was content that way. ~ Geoff. People are good at setting BHAGS, but not good at setting SMART goals. ~ Cate Where are you not doing the right activities or measuring the activities you need to do to hit your goals? ~ Cate This has been a humbling and fantastic process, I've gained so much! ~ Geoff The realization you had with YHC to do this as a career, made you realize you had to work differently to make a good living wage. ~ Cate Guest: Geoff Mackenzie A veteran Ashtanga Yoga teacher, Geoff was seeking a coaching education when he found Yogahealer.com in Summer 2020. Apparently ready to leap, he signed up to YHC within a month! Geoff's ultimate YHC goal is to create a habits group for men only. I had "big eyes" when I joined YHC: I thought I could enroll 20pax immediately and quickly pay back my fees as a fast-tracker, all with ZERO EXPERIENCE in building a successful business. Now at end of Q6 as a YHC-er, I just hit full ROI and moved into profit territory. I have yet to make significant moves on one of my original goals: creating a men-only habits group.
