D'abord à la radio, puis dans des serials, avant de passer au cinéma avec Richard Donner et Christopher Reeve dans la peau du journaliste du Daily Planet. Il a ensuite eu droit à plusieurs séries télé, dont la merveilleuse série animée Superman : L'Ange de Metropolis, conçue par l'équipe de Bruce Timm et Paul Dini. Le reboot du DC UniverseJames Gunn a pris les rênes de l'univers cinématographique DC en plein chaos : des films qui ne marchaient pas au box-office, une critique peu convaincue, une mauvaise communication et scandale sur scandale. Son Superman marque le début d'un reboot plus que nécessaire. Il a retravaillé la direction de la marque et mis en place différents projets. Did you know Superman hates racism? It's true, he's been fighting against it for decades now! We're taking a look at Superman Smashes the Klan from 2019 by Gene Luen Yang and art by Gurihiru, which is not just set in the 1940s, but also based on an old radio play from the 1940s. As the Klan makes their presence known in Metropolis to scare away a new Chinese family, Clark learns more about embracing his alien origins. We have come back from space and landed the Waverider in Metropolis. Lex is in his power armor and fighting off Hawkgirl and Superman. His armor is damaged, and he retreats to Luthor Corp. There he finds Mercy Graves, his former driver and bodyguard. She has taken Luthor Corp to new success and has no desire to help Lex.  And so he searches out his former Luthor Corp top scientist, Professor Ivo. But to his dismay, he finds Ivo dead in his bed. Thinking he's at a loss for help, Ivo's last creation appears, and it's Amazo, an ever evolving android. Lex finds he is a blank slate (Tabula Rasa) and manipulates him to help. Amazo does Lex's dirty work getting supplies for his armor and taking on the Justice League.  He can copy the powers and abilities of anyone he meets. The League divides up, seeking out info from Ivo's notes, seeking Amazo, and J'onn is doing a mind sweep to find Lex, but opening his powers up to the whole city overwhelms him. J'onn mentally hears all the bad things about humans and is disturbed and runs to the forest outside the city for peace. The League attacks Amazo and is getting beat down. J'onn realizes that his power will help Amazo see the true intentions of the League and Lex when he copies his mental abilities. Amazo hears Lex's mind and sees he's been lied to and manipulated. Lex doesn't like where this is going, and uses Ivo's failsafe and blows off Amazo's head. But Amazo adapts and survives. It also features in-depth characterizations of Lana Lang, Lex Luthor, Lois Lane and the Kents.”But first Cody gives an assessment on his second go around on James Gunn's Superman.  This is some of Tim Sale's finest most gorgeous artwork.  Does Jake hate Kansas and rural America?  Jeph Loeb & Tim Sale capture the golden age of superheroes perfectly.  A lot of this team's comics have bitter sweet and open endings, they're never quite a “happy ending”.  Jake drops some his take on Hope.  Superman is a CHONKY Boy in this story.  There's very little action this story but only because the story is what drives it and allows the art to shine.  Lex Luthor utilizes Super COVID-19 to attack Metropolis.
