Whether they come from external sources or internal habits, these influences can impede personal growth and contentment. This article explores practical strategies to limit negativity, fostering a more positive and joyful existence.   1. Identifying Negative Influences:  The first step toward a happier life is identifying the negative influences around you. Recognize toxic relationships, detrimental habits, and pessimistic environments that may be draining your energy and hindering your well-being.   2. Establishing Boundaries:  Create and maintain healthy boundaries to shield yourself from negativity. This may involve setting limits on time spent with toxic individuals, learning to say no to unnecessary commitments, and safeguarding your mental and emotional space.   3. Cultivating Positive Relationships:  Surround yourself with positive influences and supportive individuals. Cultivating meaningful connections can provide a strong foundation for emotional well-being, encouraging personal growth and happiness.   4. Mindful Media Consumption:  Be conscious of the media you consume, as it plays a significant role in shaping your perspectives. Limit exposure to negative news, social media, or content that fosters feelings of inadequacy. Opt for uplifting and educational materials that contribute positively to your mindset.   5. Cultivate optimism and resilience, recognizing that setbacks are temporary and can lead to valuable lessons.   8. Engaging in Self-Care:  Prioritize self-care to nurture your mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Establishing healthy habits, such as regular exercise, sufficient sleep, and mindfulness practices, can strengthen your resilience against negative influences.   9. Setting Personal Goals:  Define clear personal goals and aspirations. Having a sense of purpose and direction can serve as a powerful motivator, steering you away from negativity and propelling you toward a more fulfilling life.   10. Seeking Professional Support:  If negative influences persist and impact your mental health, consider seeking professional support. Therapists, counselors, or support groups can provide guidance and strategies to navigate challenges, fostering a healthier and happier life.   Limiting negative influences is an ongoing process that requires self-awareness, intentionality, and a commitment to personal growth. By identifying and mitigating negativity, establishing boundaries, cultivating positive relationships, and embracing a mindset of gratitude, individuals can pave the way for a more joyful and fulfilling life. Remember, happiness is not merely the absence of challenges but the resilience and positivity cultivated in the face of them.

In this episode, we discuss the power of positivity and hypnosis to help us boost our performance. I had the pleasure of deep-diving this topic with Leo Howson who is a Hypnotherapist, Flow State and Human Potential Coach.* The impact of positive and negative people on our productivity* The importance of understanding the conscious and subconscious mind* How to use hypnosis and hypnotherapy to improve our livesThe Impact of Positive and Negative PeopleThe people we surround ourselves with have a big impact on our lives. According to Leo Howson, just by being near and around a high performer or positive person, we can increase our own productivity and output by 15%. On the other hand, being around negative people can decrease our output by 30%.This is because the people we spend time with influence our thoughts and behaviour. When we are around positive people, we are more likely to adopt their positive habits and attitudes. Conversely, when we are around negative people, we are more likely to adopt their negative habits and attitudes. The Importance of Understanding the Conscious and Subconscious MindThe conscious mind is the part of our mind that we are aware of. It is the part of our mind that makes decisions and takes action. The subconscious mind is the part of our mind that we are not aware of. It is the part of our mind that stores our memories, beliefs, and habits. The subconscious mind is much more powerful than the conscious mind. It's responsible for up to 95% of our thoughts and behaviour. This is why it is so important to understand the subconscious mind if we want to make lasting changes in our lives. How to Use Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy to Improve Our LivesHypnosis and hypnotherapy are powerful tools that can be used to access the subconscious mind and make positive changes in our lives. Hypnosis is a state of deep relaxation and focus in which the subconscious mind is more open to suggestion. Leo shares a number of examples of how he has used these techniques to help his clients overcome everyday challenges such as, weight loss and anxiety at work. Thanks for reading Superpowers School! HelloWelcome to Life Points with Ronda, the podcast that helps you navigate life's challenges with practical wisdom and actionable advice. where we discuss important topics that affect our everyday lives. Today, I'm speaking to the collective and our topic for today is: The Importance of Mindfulness When Dealing with Trauma: Moving Towards 2024 Free from Negative InfluencesIn a world that often seems to move at an increasingly rapid pace, the importance of mindfulness cannot be overstated, particularly when it comes to dealing with trauma. As we stand on the threshold of a new year, the collective yearning for a life free from negative influences is palpable. The journey towards healing and self-restoration demands a deliberate and conscious approach, and mindfulness serves as an invaluable tool in this pursuit.Trauma, in its varied forms, has the potential to cast a long shadow over our lives, permeating our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Whether stemming from experiences of abuse, loss, or adversity, the impact of trauma can be profound and enduring. Left unaddressed, it has the power to shape our perceptions, relationships, and overall well-being. However, by embracing mindfulness as a guiding principle, individuals can begin to navigate the path towards reclaiming their agency and shaping a future unburdened by the weight of past experiences. At its core, mindfulness revolves around the practice of cultivating a heightened awareness of the present moment, without judgment or reactivity. By doing so, individuals are empowered to acknowledge their thoughts and emotions as they arise, fostering a deeper understanding of their internal landscape. In the context of trauma, this deliberate attentiveness serves as a gateway to confronting the residual effects of past experiences, allowing individuals to gradually dismantle the hold that negative influences may have over their lives.Central to the cultivation of mindfulness is the practice of meditation, which provides a sanctuary for individuals to immerse themselves in the present moment, nurturing a sense of inner calm and clarity. Through consistent meditation, individuals can begin to untangle the intricate web of emotions and triggers associated with trauma, gradually fostering a greater sense of emotional resilience and self-awareness. Moreover, mindfulness-based practices such as yoga and deep breathing exercises offer tangible avenues for grounding oneself in the present, reinforcing the capacity to confront and transcend the echoes of trauma. In the pursuit of a life free from negative influences, the integration of mindfulness into daily life extends beyond the individual realm, permeating the fabric of relationships and communities. By fostering an environment that embraces mindfulness, individuals are afforded the space to engage in open and empathetic dialogue, unraveling the complexities of their experiences while receiving support and validation in their journey towards healing. In this way, mindfulness becomes a transformative force that transcends the confines of individual healing, offering a collective platform for resilience and renewal. As we approach the threshold of 2024, the significance of mindfulness in the context of trauma cannot be overstated. By fortifying our commitment to mindfulness, individuals can begin to chart a course towards a future liberated from the grips of negative influences, reclaiming agency over their narrativSupport the showhttps://chat.openai.com/g/g-8E47AuJfB-life-points-assistanthttps://FaceBook.com/Lifepointswithronda1https://youtube.com/@lifepointswithronda2968https://TikTok.com/@lifepointswithrondahttps://Instagram.com/@lifepointswithrondahttps://Patreon.com/@lifepointswithrondahttps://Lifepointswithronda.com

As we move into week 5 of our Shipwrecked series we take a look at things we all encounter in life that negatively affect us and can shipwreck our faith. More often than not, these things can seem inconsequential, or worse, totally harmless or even good, but put us on the road to spiritual disaster. We all know Satan has an evil influence on this world, and most of us picture him as some sort of dragon or monster, but scripture warns us he can appear as an angel of light. His mastery of disguises can fool us and those all around us making his ubiquitous evil sway on this world seem good and even beneficial, when in reality it is dangerous and destructive. The Bible calls him a liar, and the father of lies. That's not a compliment! But we can't forget about our own sinful nature, and inherent propensity for evil. In this sermon Pastor Greg reminds us that the negative influences in our lives come from outside us as well as within, and maps out the steps we can take to identify and safeguard ourselves from the shipwrecked life they can bring. This is an essential message intended to equip us with the tools we need for healthy spiritual growth! Scriptures Today: 1 Peter 5:8 // 1 Corinthians 15:33, 2 Corinthians 11:14 // Genesis 3:1-7 // Luke 22:1-6, 22:31-32  //  John 10:28-29 // Proverbs 13:20 // 2 Timothy 3:1-5 // Deuteronomy 20:16-18 // Matthew 24:12-14 We're so glad you joined us for this powerful message!
