Another wild week in Video Games with another move in the "no fences and no red lines" from Microsoft as Forza Horizon 5 the multiple award-winning title from Playground Studios, is headed to the PlayStation 5, and you can go wishlist it now. At this point, does it even move the needle for those like Sean and Marc, who witness this every day? But it certainly seems PlayStation players are excited and that's what matters in the end. Magari iniziando a picchiare i due sgherri di basso livello che vanno a casa sua a chiedergli il pizzo, per poi terminare l’avventura ammazzando un enorme drago in grado di divorare il mondo. Ma c’è davvero bisogno di questa escalation? perchè non esiste un gioco, in cui il protagonista semplicemente si sposta in città sempre nuove, a combattere nemici diversi, per finalità diverse; senza che questi diventino eserciti, mostri o forze soverchianti in grado di distruggere l’universo stesso? abbiamo così bisogno di un senso di sfida e progressione? non si riesce a creare in un modo diverso? Sarebbe così brutto affrontare il gioco come un Michael Knight o un A-team, che ad ogni episodio incontrano una situazione e la devono risolvere? non si riesce a tenere un profilo basso per tutta l’avventura? Persino in giochi narrativi, come Tomb Raider o Uncharted, vediamo sempre livelli finali che sembrano usciti da Call of Duty o Rambo 3. Come giocatori conosciamo talmente bene le meccaniche di gioco che se prima affrontare 10 nemici contemporaneamente ci sembrava una sfida, ora riusciamo a ucciderne 100 senza troppi sforzi. C’è davvero bisogno di questo senso di progressione? Ad un certo punto sento sempre che c’è qualcosa che non va, a schermo vedo una Lara spaventata e titubante, che però non si fa scrupoli a trucidare eserciti, idem per Nathan Drake che lo fa col sorriso sulle labbra e la battuta pronta.Secondo voi come si potrebbe fare per aumentare effettivamente la sfida, senza rendere il tutto un clichè “da videogioco”?
