Most people don't fail at getting healthy because they don't care. They fail because they're following the wrong advice. In this episode, I sit down with Anthony William, the Medical Medium, to talk about why doing everything “right” can still leave you feeling like crap. We get into how stress, overtesting, and over-supplementing can backfire, and why simplicity beats every hack. He shares how metals in the brain can fuel issues like OCD and ADHD, the five foods he swears by for detox and recovery, and why celery juice became more than just a trend. We also talk about what people get wrong about protein, clean eating, and chasing “optimization.” Whether you love him or question him, this conversation will make you stop and rethink what being healthy really means. Anthony William is the founder of the global celery juice movement and a #1 New York Times best-selling author known for his Medical Medium book series. Since the age of four, he has said he receives health insights from what he calls the Spirit of Compassion, helping people improve their well-being through a more intuitive approach. In this Bible Story, we are able to read the letter Paul wrote to the Galatian church. Paul, with the love and wisdom of Jesus, implores the Galatian church to stop binding themselves to the law. He encourages them to live under grace and live in the Spirit. This story is inspired by Galatians. Go to BibleinaYear.com and learn the Bible in a Year.Today's Bible verse is Galatians 1:10 from the King James Version.Episode 231: During his travels, Paul heard about the lies that were being spread in Galatia. He heard about how this false teaching was impacting the church that he loved, so he wrote them a letter. In this letter, he called out the foolishness of this new teaching and reminded them of his own past experiences with the law. He reminded them that it is in Christ that we find our righteousness, not the law. And he shared his heart for them, reminding both them and us the importance of walking according to The Holy Spirit, not the flesh.Hear the Bible come to life as Pastor Jack Graham leads you through the official BibleinaYear.com podcast. Physician Christian Ntizimira sensed God’s calling to provide end-of-life care in under-resourced areas of his home country of Rwanda. Colleagues often didn’t see the value of such care because “these patients were already considered hopeless.” But Ntizimira found that for patients and their families, his “presence offered a rekindling of hope when all seemed lost.” Ntizimira is grounded in his work by the conviction that Jesus’ death and life can transform how we approach death because “the death of Christ is the source of life.” In 2 Timothy, the apostle Paul testified to how the reality that Jesus “destroyed death and . . . brought life and immortality to light through the gospel” (1:10) changed how he understood his suffering. Though Paul was a prisoner facing possible execution (2:9), Jesus’ resurrection grounded him in his calling—to point others to salvation through Christ (v. 10). For “if we died with him, we will also live with him; if we endure, we will also reign with him” (vv. 11-12). Dying with Jesus doesn’t just mean what happens at believers’ literal deaths. In his letter to the Romans, Paul explained that, as symbolized in baptism, believers are united with Christ’s Spirit in His death and resurrection life (Romans 6:4-8). Because Jesus lives in us, even when we face death’s terrors, we can live for and witness to Him.

This is first episode in a series called The Spirit-Era and Its Aftermaths. Across the next few installments of AEWCH, I'll be investigating the way the spiritual, technological, and occult flourishing at the turn of the 19th/20th century is affecting our lives to this day. The Spirit-Era was a time marked by spirits, of course. But also miracles, hucksters, paranormal investigators, and genuine spiritual teachers. There were seances and fakirs, performances of incredible feats in private and on stages both which were thought to be revelations of different worlds, or worlds that could be possible. The intelligentsia of the time might go to see spirits materialize in dark rooms. They might write novels inspired by meeting  notorious occult figures. Or maybe they would decide to form societies to investigate the afterlife. Many of the Spirt-Era's most famous artists and writers found themselves inspired by and even joining occult orders. New occult organizations and forms - some with anarchist aspirations, others connecting to labor rights movements, still others taking fascist turns, - were rising and falling.Like in our own era, new technologies emerged and others became popularized. The telephone became more available, and so, later, did the car  and motion picture with sound. But also there was the fortune cookie, bringing a sort of precogniostic levity to the everyday. These innovations marked changing experiences of time and space across the planet.Plagues, wars, sinking ships. It seemed like there was never a moment of rest. I'm sure you can relate. Two themes ran through the Spirit-Era: the shifting relationship of the spiritual and material, and the deep understanding that everything was changing, so anything might be possible. In these episodes, we won't just be trying to learn from history to avoid repeating it, but rather to deeply consider the Spirit-Era and conjure its best aspects.Because within the spectacle, there were many revelations to be had. Some of them we take for granted in our everyday lives, and forget they were handed to us by people who took the great risk or the absurd plunge into the era's spiritual possibility. We'll look at the ways paranormal investigations pushed on science, how esotericism informed advancing literature and performance. We'll even investigate whole world views with their own coherence, that developed at the time, and see why we can learn so much from  them. And we'll look at why so many of these boundary-pushing advances are stigmatized today. One reason I'll mention now: The Spirit-Era is difficult for us because it isn't part of the past, but something beyond us. A future where we allow ourselves to think in ways that dissolve the material realm as we know it, and try to understand the forces - whether social, dialectical, economic, or spiritual - fully anew. The Spirit-Era reflects the past and the future through smoke and mirrors. Yes, the tools of illusionists and frauds. But amongst the trickery, the truth of light and surface is there. In the aftermaths of the Spirit-Era, we continue to use its insights and gestures to figure out what we think is real, what is solid, and where illumination comes from.Welcome to this series. On the first episode, I talk with ALICE VERNON, author of Ghosted: A History of Ghost Hunting, and Why We Keep Looking. The book is vast in scope, and considers the many emotional resonances we have with paranormal investigation, ghost-hunting, and why it is important to us. We start in the 1st century, and go all the way to AI in this wide-ranging conversation about the topic. But the Spirit-Era here is unavoidable. People grieving, hustling, debunking, and believing all surround the seance tables, inviting new presences, new technologies, and new methods of investigation.I'm so happy to present this series and episode.SUPPORT THE SHOW VIA PATREONBuy Ghosted: A History of Ghost Hunting, and Why We Keep Looking by Alice Vernon

In today's episode for November 18th, Hunter invites us into a time of reflection, prayer, and encouragement as we journey through Psalm 124 and 2 Corinthians 11–13. As we gather with listeners around the world, we're reminded of God's faithfulness in the midst of every trial. Hunter leads us through the powerful words of Paul, who challenges us to discover real strength, not in boasting or outward achievements, but in the places where we feel weakest and most in need. The episode explores how God's grace meets us in those vulnerable moments and how—just as Paul experienced—God's power often shines brightest through our shortcomings. We'll warm ourselves by the fires of God's love, lift prayers for our own lives and for the world, and receive encouragement to carry God's joy and peace into the day. Whether you're listening with your favorite coffee mug or simply joining as you are, know that you're loved and welcome here. So, settle in and let's continue this journey together—nourishing our souls in scripture and discovering anew that God's strength truly is made perfect in our weakness. TODAY'S DEVOTION: God delights to show himself strong through weakness. Paul was being called out for his weakness. There were some who apparently faulted him for not being the most dynamic, flamboyant speaker. "Super apostles" had come to town and were adding to the confusion of this church, preaching another gospel that was not the gospel at all. But here, Paul takes the opportunity to teach us something vital about real power, real strength, real authority. In God's kingdom, these are not revealed through flashy presentations or impressive outward displays. Instead, God's strength is most clearly seen in our weakness. Paul accomplished so much—traversing much of the known world, planting churches, speaking before kings and governors, writing letters, discipling people who would disciple generations to come. Yet, when he lists his accomplishments, Paul points not to his triumphs, but to times of trial, peril, persecution, poverty, and personal struggle. Why? Because these moments of struggle and weakness were the places where the power of Christ showed up most clearly in his life. We, too, experience this. When things are falling apart, when we're broken down, when we don't know what to do, these are the times when we find God's strength to be most real and present. The greatest displays of strength are not found in confident boasts from a platform, but in humble dependence when we most know our need. So don't miss this gift—amid all the noise, teachings, and impressive personalities around us, remember: God's grace is all we need. His power is made perfect in our weakness. Like Paul, may we learn to boast not in our strength, but in our need, trusting that it is there the power of Christ will rest upon us. That's the prayer I have for my own soul. That's the prayer I have for my family, for my wife and my daughters and my son. And that's the prayer I have for you. May it be so. TODAY'S PRAYERS: Lord God Almighty and everlasting father you have brought us in safety to this new day preserve us with your Mighty power that we might not fall into sin or be overcome by adversity. And in all we do, direct us to the fulfilling of your purpose  through Jesus Christ Our Lord amen.   Oh God you have made of one blood all the peoples of the earth and sent your blessed son to preach peace to those who are far and those who are near. Grant that people everywhere may seek after you, and find you. Bring the nations into your fold, pour out your Spirit on all flesh, and hasten the coming of your kingdom through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.   And now Lord,  make me an instrument of your peace.  Where there is hatred let me sow love. Where there is injury, pardon.  Where there is doubt, faith. Where there is despair, hope.  Where there is darkness, light.  And where there is sadness,  Joy.  Oh Lord grant that I might not seek to be consoled as to console. To be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love.  For it is in the giving that we receive, in the pardoning that we are pardoned, it is in the dying that we are born unto eternal life.  Amen And now as our Lord has taught us we are bold to pray... Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven, give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our tresspasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not unto temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. Loving God, we give you thanks for restoring us in your image. And nourishing us with spiritual food, now send us forth as forgiven people, healed and renewed, that we may proclaim your love to the world, and continue in the risen life of Christ.  Amen.  OUR WEBSITE: www.dailyradiobible.com We are reading through the New Living Translation.   Leave us a voicemail HERE: https://www.speakpipe.com/dailyradiobible Subscribe to us at YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@Dailyradiobible/featured OTHER PODCASTS: Listen with Apple Podcast DAILY BIBLE FOR KIDS DAILY PSALMS DAILY PROVERBS DAILY LECTIONARY DAILY CHRONOLOGICAL

Welcome to Day 2731 of Wisdom-Trek. Thank you for joining me. This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to Wisdom Day 2731– A Discerning Life – Distinguishing Truth from Error – 1 John 4:1-6 Putnam Church Message – 10/12/2025 Sermon Series: 1, 2, & 3 John “Distinguishing Truth from Error "   Last week, we continued through the letter of 1 John and explored how to have “A Discerning Life: Not Like Cain, But Like Christ!" This week, we continue through the letter of 1 John, and we will explore how to have “Distinguishing Truth from Error” from 1 John 4:1-6 from the NIV, which is found on page 1902 of your Pew Bibles. Discerning False Prophets 4 Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ>has come in the flesh is from God, 3 but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world. 4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 5 They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. 6 We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit[a] of truth and the spirit of falsehood. Opening Prayer Some statements of Scripture haunt us. If we were to dwell on them too long, meditate on them too deeply, or obsess over them too frequently, they would keep us awake at night. It is much like most news sources and social media posts. We must determine truth from error. They warn of impending trouble for believers and alarming developments for the church. The following passages together paint a pretty bleak picture of the deteriorating world around us: “You will be hated all over the world because you are my followers.” ( 24:9) “And many false prophets will appear and will deceive many people.” ( 24:11) “Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold.” ( 24:12) “For false messiahs and false prophets will rise up and perform great signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even God's chosen ones.” ( 24:24) “The time is coming when those who kill you will think they are doing a holy service for God.” (John 16:2) “I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” (John...

Stéphanie welcomes Jenny Guinness to discuss the power of prayer. Jenny has been married to Os Guinness for over 50 years. Using the remarkable biography and spiritual journey of James Fraser—a pioneering missionary in China—as the centerpiece, Jenny Guinness draws out key lessons for deepening our own prayer lives. Prayer, as lived out by James Fraser, is an arena of tenacity, faith, and ongoing transformation. It's about keeping the line open to God, partnering deeply with others, and refusing to give up even when answers seem delayed. Through prayer, spiritual strongholds are broken, lives are changed, and God's kingdom advances in unseen and visible ways. If you enjoy this conversation on prayer, consider our Gospel Spice Course on prayer titled "The Heart Behind Prayer." It contains a full array of different videos to inspire you to pray! For more info: https://www.gospelspice.com/prayer Jenny shares about her early exposure to prayer at the Christian community and study center, L'Abri, where prayer was not only valued but strategically woven into daily life. James Fraser exemplified this through his innovative approach: he formed an “entrepreneurial” network of intercessors back in England, tasking them with regular, committed prayers for the Lisu people he was trying to reach in remote China. These prayers were not haphazard; they were systematic and intentional, teaching us that powerful prayer often involves faithful partnership and unwavering commitment across distance and time. A major turning point in Fraser's ministry—and in Jenny Guinness' understanding—came in the realization that demonic oppression wasn't an ancient relic but a present reality for many. Fraser's confrontation with the demonic practices among the Lisu forced him to wrestle with New Testament accounts of spiritual warfare and rely on more than just persuasive words; he learned to battle through persistent, “fighting” prayer anchored in scripture, much like Jesus did when confronted by evil. Fraser's persistence, even in the face of repeated setbacks and unresponsiveness, illustrates that prayer is more than asking for blessings—it is warfare for spiritual breakthrough. Jenny Guinness points out the importance of leaning on the power of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God during spiritual opposition. Fraser labored for years without visible results among the Lisu, which led to moments of deep discouragement. However, he learned the critical lesson of not giving up, trusting God's timing above his own. Jenny Guinness discusses practical steps when facing unanswered prayer, including honest spiritual “inventory”: humbly asking whether there's unresolved sin, spiritual strongholds, or simply an issue of God's timing at work. Even when prayer seems unanswered, the lesson is to keep the lifeline to God open, trusting His goodness and perfect timing. When discussing Halloween, Jenny Guinness cautions us, that while many cultural celebrations are harmless for children, the spiritual realm is real. Christians are called not to live in fear, but to be wise, discerning, and rooted in biblical truth, aware of ways the enemy seeks footholds. To inform and equip believers for spiritual battles, Jenny Guinness recommends resources by authors such as Francis McNutt, Derek Prince, and Randy Clark. She emphasizes that understanding and engaging in spiritual warfare should be based on biblical principles, wisdom, and community support—not fear or curiosity. Let's commit to the kind of prayer that is persistent, Spirit-led, and shaped by scripture—standing together as the body of Christ even across great distances, for God's glory and the freedom of others. MORE ABOUT OUR COURSE "THE HEART BEHIND PRAYER" There are a few things in our Christian life that we know we should do more, or at least better – and prayer just might top the list. Prayer is a mystery. Why would a conversation with a human have any influence on God's eternal, sovereign plan? It defies logic, and beckons love. How can God, the Almighty Lord of Hosts, be this close, this personal? It defies understanding, and beckons involvement. More at https://www.gospelspice.com/prayer  But, lack of time, inspiration, and discipline, combined with the ruthless tyranny of our busy lives, push prayer to the periphery, to the “one day I'll get to it” pile. And yet, we can excel at what we endeavor to undertake. So, why isn't prayer more of a spiritual priority? Could we develop a mindset around prayer that made it attractive, inspiring, even maybe delightful? What if we attuned our spiritual ears to listen to God, and our spiritual eyes to see His provision? As an unassuming student, Stephanie humbly offers to share the little she have learned from others about the joy of prayer. She will give us theology, practical tips, and useful resources, sharing what works for her as we, together, learn to pray. If you find prayer intimidating, or if your lack of prayer makes you feel guilty or “less than,” then this is the place for you! If you have been a student of prayer for many years, this is the place for you too! If you have breath in your lungs, then prayer can become one of the deepest joys of your day. Don't miss out! More at https://www.gospelspice.com/prayer  To pray is to believe that God not only hears, but that He responds. It is to stand in the gap for a broken world, wielding the authority of Christ, empowered by the Spirit, and trusting in the goodness of the Father. The question is not whether prayer works, but whether we are willing to pray the kinds of prayers that invite God's Kingdom into the darkest places of the earth—and of our own hearts. We may never fully understand the mechanics of prayer, or how it intersects with God's sovereignty, but we are not called to understand everything. We are called to be faithful. And faithfulness means showing up—in prayer, in persistence, in expectation. So today, let us pray not only for the comfort of our hearts, but for the transformation of the world. Let us take our place as image-bearers, co-laborers, and co-heirs. Let us believe that God is still listening—and still acting. Because He is. There's only one way to find out what might happen when we truly pray like this. More at https://www.gospelspice.com/prayer  Stephanie doesn't really know how to pray. She's a humble student and absolute beginner at the holy endeavor that is prayer. So, this course isn't really about what she's learned, or any wisdom she has. But, she's sat at the feet of many prayer warriors over the decades, through books and teachings. So, she will share what she has learned from them. Humility is going to be our primary heart posture! With each lesson, she will offer a few thoughts, practices, and ideas – with much humility, and not taking herself too seriously. She will also share her favorite books and resources about prayer. Also, she will introduce you to some of the most influential prayer warriors of our history as the Body of Christ. Most importantly, she will invite YOU to pray! Learning to pray comes from praying. Our humble ambition is to inspire you to pray, and to give you a few tips on how to do that. Then, it's up to you! Prayer is a lifelong endeavor. Let's make it delightful together! Gospel Spice exists to inspire our generation to delight in God. We do this through the podcast, online Bible studies, leadership trainings, and more. We want to serve Christ-followers who seek to live a life spiced with the gospel. We want to love God, because He first loved us. We want to experience the fullness of life with Him—and not be content with stale, boring, leftover faith. Jesus tells us that the most important thing is to love the Lord our God, so we take Him seriously. He adds that we are to love our neighbor as ourselves. Now, there are many ways to do that, but I have always personally felt deep compassion for victims of human trafficking – it is modern day slavery, and it revolts the heart of God. And so, they are our particular neighbors here at Gospel Spice. We want to play our part in raising awareness and then financially supporting those who fight this great evil.   Now we would love to invite you to join the team in one of three ways: 1, pray Gospel Spice forward – pray for our guests, our listeners and participants, and for us too! 2, play Gospel Spice forward by telling your friends about us, and by please leaving positive reviews and comments on your podcast listening app; and 3rd, PAY GospelSpice forward. Less than 1% of our listeners are supporting us financially. We need your help! Please pay Gospel Spice forward today. It can be a one-time donation, or a monthly one, for the amount of your choice. Your donation is fully tax-deductible in the US. Plus, once we cover our costs, a significant portion of your donation will be given back to Christian organizations that fight human trafficking, and that we vet thoroughly. You may already have an answer for that and be working in that direction. But lots of folks these days are preoccupied with trying to get what they want and do what they want, without really thinking about what God wants them to do with their lives. Then there are those folks who have all the outward signs of success but there's still a hunger for something more meaningful, something more substantial. Timothy Keller Sermons Podcast by Gospel in Life

There couldn't be a more relevant topic than faithfulness—a word that means honesty, integrity, and truthfulness. Americans' trust of their institutions—business, government, church—is at an all-time low. All the studies show that. There's a sense that there has been a failure of integrity in our society at all levels. Therefore, what does the Bible have to say about this all-important subject?  Ephesians 4 shows us 1) there's a problem of practicing truthfulness, 2) there's a problem of abusing people with the truth, and 3) how we solve both problems.  This sermon was preached by Dr. Timothy Keller at Redeemer Presbyterian Church on May 16, 2010. Series: The Real Signs of the Spirit. Scripture: Ephesians 4:15-16; 25-30. We talk about the difference between anger and contempt and how contempt can not only fracture relationships but also plant seeds of division in our hearts. We also reflect on how we can respond to discord with humility, a holy curiosity, and a genuine desire to understand. Ultimately, unity begins with love, bears good fruit, and reflects the presence of Christ within us.   Heather's One Thing - The Cheesecloth Turkey Basting Method (Example Here) Sister Miriam's One Thing - College Volleyball Playoffs (especially Nebraska) Michelle's One Thing - Twinkling Trees from Walmart    Announcement: Our Advent Study begins December 1st, 2025!   Journal Questions: Where in my heart am I harboring contempt? What groups of people or individuals do I see as worthless? When was the last time that someone treated you with contempt? How did that impact you? How am I seeking to understand people with different opinions? How is the Lord inviting me to refine and cultivate my tone to speak love to others? When faced with division and disunity, are the movements of my heart and my external actions congruent?   Discussion Questions: What differences have you observed between conformity and unity? What differences have you observed between anger and contempt? When are you tempted to roll my eyes, sneer, act with hostility, speak with sarcasm? When is it hardest for you to cultivate unity?   Quote to Ponder: "To understand one another and to grow in charity and truth, we need to pause, to accept and listen to one another. In this way, we already begin to experience unity. Unity grows along the way; it never stands still. Unity happens when we walk together." Welcome to another episode of "Restoring the Soul with Michael John Cusick." Today, we're diving deep into the conversation around emotional health, spiritual formation, and the journey toward wholeness with our special guest, Dr. Alison Cook, psychologist, author, and expert in Christian spiritual and emotional integration. In this episode, Michael and Alison explore her acclaimed book, "Boundaries for Your Soul." Together, they unpack what it truly means to set gentle, healthy boundaries within ourselves—not to exile or repress difficult emotions, but to get curious about them, listen to them, and ultimately befriend them as part of our God-given humanity. Drawing from Internal Family Systems (IFS) theory and Christian theology, Alison Cook explains how our inner world is made up of many different “parts,” each with their own stories and struggles. As Jesus walks to the garden where he will spend his final moments with the disciples, he continues to divulge the relationship between the persons of the Trinity. The Spirit comes from the Father and submits to the Son. The Son commands the Spirit but submits to the Father. And the Father has authority over the Son and the Spirit while still honoring both as equal in divinity. Jesus prays for His present disciples as well as those who will believe in the future, asking that they might know the Father's love and that they might be protected from the evil one. Finally, Jesus is captured and sent to trial before the Jews and before Pilate.John 15:26-27 – 1:11 . John 16 - 1:28 . John 17 - 7:34 . John 18 - 11:47 . Isaiah 41 - 20:11 .  :::Christian Standard Bible translation. All music written and produced by John Burgess Ross.Co-produced by Bobby Brown, Katelyn Pridgen, Eric Williamson & the Christian Standard Biblefacebook.com/commuterbibleinstagram.com/commuter_bibletwitter.com/CommuterPodpatreon.com/commuterbibleadmin@commuterbible.org

Embark on this year-long voyage through the Bible, and let each day's passage uplift and inspire you. TODAY'S EPISODE: Welcome to the Daily Radio Bible podcast! In today's episode for Friday, November 17th—day 321 of our journey through the Bible—Hunter invites us into a time of reflection, encouragement, and prayer rooted in Second Corinthians chapters 7 through 10. Together, we explore the themes of generosity, spiritual strength, and the source of true Christian living found in Christ. Hunter reminds us of the promises we have in Jesus, guiding us to cleanse our hearts, embrace holiness, and rely on God's power for a life that is both generous and resilient. Through thoughtful prayer and insightful commentary, we learn that we have all the riches and strength we need in Christ, empowering us to serve, give, endure, and heal. Prepare to enter a new day with God's word spoken over you, uplifting prayers for yourself and the world, and encouragement to walk in truth, peace, and hope—trusting in the deep love God has for you. Let's continue this journey together, discovering joy and strength in every step. TODAY'S DEVOTION: Do you want to live a life that is generous and strong? Can you afford to live a generous Christian life? Do you have strength to defend yourself against spiritual attack—or, forget about spiritual attack, just plain old discouragement, depression, or self-loathing? We all need strength to overcome these things, whether spiritual or otherwise. Paul reminds us in the previous chapters where our riches for generous living and the strength for our struggles come from. They come from the One who alone is rich enough and strong enough. They come from Christ. Christ in you. So, do you want to live a life that is generous and strong? Then Christ will be the source of your strength and the source of your riches—your heart partnering with him to serve, to give, to endure, and to be healed. Yesterday's reading sets this up for us: it says that God's power is working in us. And now, in today's passage, 2 Corinthians 7:1, we read, "Because we have these promises, dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that can defile our body or spirit. Let us work toward complete holiness because we fear God." So, what's the promise? It's the promise of Christ's presence in you. What are the earmarks of holy living? Generosity and strength. Because Christ lives in you, you are able to cleanse yourself from everything that defiles your body and spirit. Now, you have the strength and generosity to move forward and to experience real change. Because you fear God, because Christ lives in you, you have what you need. Can you afford a generous life? It depends on how rich you are. Do you have the strength you need to move forward? Well, that depends on how strong you are. How rich are you? How strong are you? If Christ is in you, then you have all the riches you need and then some. If Christ is in you, then you have all the strength you need and then some. And I'm here to tell you, Christ is in you. As John said, "The one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world." So because we have these promises, we can live the Christian life. Let's be awakened today by the presence of God in you, your true life which is hidden in Him. You have been fully embraced in Christ just as you are in Him. You are a new creation, and because of Him, you can be wise and generous—strong. And the prayer of my own heart today is that we will all begin to see this just a little bit more today than we did yesterday. That's the prayer I have for my own soul. That's the prayer I have for my family—for my wife, my daughters, my son.

"Our holy Father Longinus lived in the Egyptian deserts during the fourth or fifth century. Among other sayings of his, are the following: A dead man judges no one, and it is just the same with the man who is humble. To someone who wanted to go to live in exile, he replied: Unless you guard your tongue, you will not be able to live in exile wherever you go. To someone else who wanted to live in solitude, he said: If you do not exercise the virtues in the midst of men, still less will you be able to do so in solitude. By his life and his words he taught love of humility as superior to all the works of ascesis, saying: Fasting humbles the body, vigil purifies the intellect and stillness leads to the affliction that baptizes man anew and cleanses him of all sin.   We also owe to him the famous saying: Shed your blood and receive the Spirit." Romans 8:26-27 — It is common for prayers to feel empty, as if the enemy stops the words from being heard by the Savior. Sometimes Christians find themselves groaning, not able to put into words what they need from God. They lose their confidence that they even belong to God. In this sermon on Romans 8:26–27 titled “The Spirit's Help,” Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones argues that these groanings are actually additional proof of their sonship and one of the very reasons God sends His Holy Spirit to His people. He comes alongside to help them in their weakness, to be their advocate, and telling them what to pray when they come before the Father. He intercedes for the Christian who utters wordless groanings which God hears, understands, and approves because it is God who sends the Spirit to work these things in His people. He only sends his Spirit to true believers. If, therefore, one finds themselves giving vent to these groanings, be encouraged. It is proof of a true relationship with God because it is the Spirit that produces these groanings. Christians should rejoice as they belong to Him. Is it Okay to Be Unequally Yoked in Business? with Ron Blue

When Ron Blue joins us, it's always a masterclass in biblical wisdom. He's co-founder of Kingdom Advisors, a best-selling author, and a trusted mentor to many. Ron has spent decades helping believers apply God's principles to every area of life and business.Today, Ron unpacks what Scripture teaches about partnerships and how faith should shape the way we enter, manage, and exit them. The Broader Meaning of “Partnership”When the Apostle Paul warned believers about being “unequally yoked,” he wasn't speaking only about marriage. As Ron explains, “Paul was talking about partnerships—and there are so many kinds.”From professional firms and small businesses to investment ventures and partnerships, they can take many forms. And while they can be incredibly fruitful, they also carry spiritual and relational risks.Ron pointed out that partnerships often last a long time—sometimes decades. “The CPA firm I founded has been operating as a partnership for 50 years,” he said. “But not all partnerships endure well. Like marriage, many end in conflict.”Principle #1: Protect Your TestimonyRon's first principle is about spiritual integrity. “You have to ask what the partnership will do to your testimony,” he said. “If you're unequally yoked with someone whose values fundamentally differ from yours, you could lose your witness in the process.”He recalled being asked whether a Christian OB-GYN should enter a business partnership with a doctor who supports abortion. “Only you and God can answer that,” he said, “but it's a big question. Your witness is always at stake.”Principle #2: Plan Your Exit Before You Begin“Have your exit strategy in place before you form the partnership,” Ron advises.Just as couples prepare for challenges in marriage, business partners should anticipate potential separation. A clear exit plan protects both parties, ensures fairness, and helps maintain peace when the time comes to move on.“When you have that in place,” Ron said, “you avoid a lot of conflict and preserve your testimony if you're the believer who's leaving.”Principle #3: Preserve the Mission Beyond the RelationshipPerhaps the most powerful insight Ron shared was this: the mission must outlive the partnership.Ron recalled his own experience leading a financial planning firm. “After 23 years, I left—but no one left with me,” he said. “They were committed to the mission. That's what you want to see happen.”A strong exit strategy and shared vision help ensure that the work—and the witness—continue long after any individual departs. The Bottom LineShared faith isn't just good for business—it's essential for a lasting witness. Partnerships grounded in biblical principles reflect God's wisdom and preserve peace amid challenges. As Ron put it, “The most critical thing you want to preserve is your testimony. Everything else flows from that.”On Today's Program, Rob Answers Listener Questions:I'm concerned about vendors and service providers who want my bank account information for automatic withdrawals. I've been paying my lawn service with money orders, but now they require my account number. I told them we'd have to stop doing business because I'm not comfortable giving out that information. Isn't this kind of intrusive? What do you think about vendors wanting access to our accounts? My spouse and I are both 70 and ready to retire. I own 10 rental houses, but managing them has become too much. Once I sell the properties, what should I do with the proceeds? I understand the basics about capital gains and selling real estate, but I don't want the responsibility of managing individual stock investments myself.I've saved about $15,000 for a car, but have kept my current vehicle running as long as possible. It's a 2007 with 235,000 miles and is starting to have more issues. I found a good used car for about $8,500 and am wondering if I should buy it now or keep driving my current one until it dies, even though repairs may be on the horizon. My parents' health is declining, and we're moving them closer to family. Their current home is in an irrevocable trust, but we've found a condo they can buy before selling that house. Can the new condo be added to the same irrevocable trust? And when the old home sells, what happens to the proceeds?Resources Mentioned:Faithful Steward: FaithFi's Quarterly Magazine (Become a FaithFi Partner)Wisdom Over Wealth: 12 Lessons from Ecclesiastes on MoneyLook At The Sparrows: A 21-Day Devotional on Financial Fear and AnxietyRich Toward God: A Study on the Parable of the Rich FoolFind a Certified Kingdom Advisor (CKA)FaithFi App Remember, you can call in to ask your questions every workday at (800) 525-7000. In this sermon, Pastor Harold Warner takes Ephesians 5 head on and asks a blunt question: Are you living under the influence of alcohol, or under the influence of the Holy Spirit?Preached in a season of “holiday cheer,” this message exposes the cultural propaganda around drinking, walks through the Bible's real portrait of alcohol, and presses into the thing that actually matters: your testimony, your calling, and being filled with the Spirit.Scriptures Mentioned: • Ephesians 5:15–21 • Galatians 5:16–21 • 1 Peter 4:1–5 • Proverbs 20:1, Proverbs 23:29–35 • Romans 13:13–14 • Romans 12:1–2In this message you will hear about: • “Sipping saints” and why the line is never as clean as people pretend • The war between flesh and Spirit, and what alcohol is really feeding • Why the Bible's “ad” for drinking looks nothing like Madison Avenue • Noah, Lot, Nabal, Belshazzar, and the wreckage that follows drunkenness • How Christian liberty can become a stumbling block for weaker believers • Why a Spirit filled life is not optional if you want to impact people • The power of a clear cut, no nonsense testimony in a foggy worldIf you are wrestling with the “gray areas,” or if you have quietly opened the door to “just a little” alcohol, this sermon will not stroke your conscience. Scripture reveals that there are really only two kinds of people: those who walk by sight and those who walk by faith. People who live by sight rely only on what they can see and understand. They miss the spiritual realities around them and often stumble through life without direction.  But those who live by faith have placed their trust in Christ and opened their hearts to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit speaks, teaches, and illuminates God's Word, giving them insight that goes far beyond human understanding. In this episode, discover how the Holy Spirit opens your spiritual eyes, sharpens your discernment, and helps you live with purpose and clarity. Step into the confidence of having "the mind of Christ" and experience the wisdom that only comes through faith.
