Are you ready to take control of your travel plans and make your dream trips a reality?
Every January brings a natural energy for reflection and dreaming big. It's a time proven to be perfect for setting intentions and planning how we want our lives to unfold. In this episode of the Transform with Travel podcast, I'm joined by Maria Maldonado Smith, a leading expert in goal setting and vision boards. Together, we explore the exciting journey of turning dreams, especially around travel, into realityMaria explains that a vision board is a visual representation of your goals, acting as a powerful tool to keep your aspirations in focus. In a world inundated with images, vision boards help you curate what truly matters to you, leveraging your brain's reticular activating system to align with your desires and create an information funnel that keeps your goals top of mind. Many people, Maria notes, use excuses like lack of time or money to postpone their dreams. Instead, she encourages listeners to reevaluate their priorities and align their actions with their ambitions. Simple practices like setting aside time regularly for your goals and saving incrementally for dream trips can make a massive difference. After creating your vision board, it's crucial to have an accountability system in place. Regularly check in on your progress, celebrate small wins, and adjust your goals as needed. Consistency, accountability, and grace are key to making your visions reality.Whether it's learning a new language, embarking on a travel adventure, or deepening relationships, let this be the year you turn your dreams into reality. Happy vision boarding, and keep exploring! Have you ever wondered if wanderlust is merely a luxury for those with deep pockets and endless time? Let's shatter that illusion together as we embark on a journey illuminated by my own travel tales and the revelation that exploration is accessible to anyone with resourcefulness and a dash of curiosity. From the eye-opening Birthright trip to Israel to a transformative semester in Rome, I've uncovered the secrets to adventuring on a budget and the profound differences between vacationing and truly traveling. Madison, my fiancée, joins me in recounting our experiences of sinking into the rhythms of different cultures, sharing the joys and practicalities of long-term stays, both within the bustling cities of the U.S. and the historic streets of Europe.Strap in as we navigate the practicalities of turning a typical vacation into an epic tale of work and exploration. We spill our strategies for making the most of credit card points for flights, the serene pleasures of off-season travel, and the art of balancing morning adventures with afternoon work in Europe's most alluring sites. From the historic ruins of Rome to the fairytale castles of Sintra, Portugal, Madison and I will guide you through our journey packed with spontaneous itinerary decisions and apartment-style living that fueled both our wanderlust and work productivity. But it's not just about the places; it's about the people and the personal growth that comes from stepping out of your comfort zone. We share heartwarming stories of local connections that provided fresh social perspectives and taught us the value of patience, particularly when savoring European dining experiences. As we conclude our voyage, I reflect on the lessons gleaned and the inspiration drawn from not only traversing physical distances but also pushing through the metaphorical marathons of life. This is an invitation to let go of self-limitations and craft the life of your dreams—one adventure at a time. -------

There's a saying about reaping what you sow. Well, wheat has turned out to be a golden crop for a tiny Australian school fund raising for a trip. There are only 10 students from kindergarten to Year 6 at Hermidale Public School in New South Wales, more than 600km west of Sydney. The dream was to raise enough money for a visit to the beach when a former student of the school let them use 85 hectares of land to plant a crop. They chose wheat at the beginning of the year. The wheat has just been cut. Principal Skye Dedman and Vice Principal Rebekah Coddington explain how the harvest went.
In this episode of Virtual Campfire, Terrell Rogers and I discuss the theory of time travelers and how they may have played a part in 9/11. Terrell is an art healer who is based in New York City and much of his healing has centered around the shift that occurred on 9/11. We discuss dreams and the possible meanings behind dreams and our sub conscious minds. We touch on infinite possibilities of parallel universes and the multiverse. This discussion centers around shifting timelines and how extra-terrestrials play a part in our lives whether we are aware of it or not. Listen with an open mind, neither Terrell nor I know answers to these lofty topics, but the discussion is intended to open up possible scenarios in our minds. Perhaps the truth is out there, but in the meantime, we will continue to wonder. This conversation led me to this book; Aliens in Ancient Egypt by Xaviant Haze. Chapter 16 had a lot to say about time travel and teleporting. Get the book on Amazon here https://www.amazon.com/Aliens-Ancient-Egypt-Brotherhood-Civilization/dp/159143159X/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2IMFZG2YU2P8Q&keywords=aliens+in+ancient+egypt&qid=1666991982&qu=eyJxc2MiOiIxLjMzIiwicXNhIjoiMC4zNCIsInFzcCI6IjAuMDAifQ%2525253D%2525253D&sprefix=%2525252Caps%2525252C105&sr=8-1&_encoding=UTF8&tag=krystalizedmi-20&linkCode=ur2&linkId=09f31252461c2b9b3a2a2fae29cf38ab&camp=1789&creative=9325&asin=159143159X&revisionId=&format=4&depth=1&_encoding=UTF8&tag=krystalizedmi-20&linkCode=ur2&linkId=f40ed1c899baeca10779312168816df6&camp=1789&creative=9325
It's our 100th episode! We are celebrating by talking about our top 100 travel dreams!
We will start this season with an inspirational story of a couple who wanted to explore the world, and who went out and did just that. My guests are Warren and Erica behind the Youtube channel WE Sail. They walk us through their story of how they went from having margaritas on a beach in Mexico and getting the idea of sailing in their heads, to owning a sailboat in TWO years. So far, they've sailed from the Caribbean to French Polynesia and we talk about the whole boat buying process, the mistakes they made in their first year as new sailors and their trip across the Pacific.Links mentioned in this episode ⬇️
Have you ever dreamt of taking your family around the globe on a sailboat, glider, or airship? It might not be as far-fetched as it seems! Listen in to this week's podcast as we are joined by Xin, who set out on a sailboat with her family when she was just 8 years old, beginning a decade long adventure of exploration and self-discovery. People often limit themselves by what they can't do, or rather, what they think can't be done. Whether it stems from putting off travel due to work, schooling, or monetary constraints, it is easy to talk yourself out of breaking away from convention. The story of Xin's family spending most of their savings on a boat to sail around the Pacific Ocean, before navigating the airways of Australia on a paraglider is an exceptional life lesson: No dream is impossible, you just have to find a way to make it happen! Hey friends! Welcome to Girls Night! I'm so excited about today's episode. Today we're talking about how to travel solo. I love this topic because traveling is absolutely one of my favorite things to do and has played an irreplaceable role in my story! I've had the privilege of visiting places all around the world and every time I come back feeling more inspired and more full of life and just more like myself. But while I love traveling, I know firsthand how hard it can be to actually make a trip happen. Sometimes it's finances that get in the way, sometimes it's work, and a lot of times, we find that we don't have anyone to go with! That's why I'm so excited to have my dear friend Gennean Woodall back on Girls Night to talk us through this. Gennean is a travel planner and content creator, and she has traveled to places all around the world… all by herself. Like most of us, she had some major reservations about traveling solo. (Is it safe? Will I be lonely? Can I actually do this?!) But she's figured out a formula that really works and now, traveling solo is her favorite way to go. She also has grown so much as a person through these solo trips. I honestly can't wait to take one myself! Friend, if you've been dreaming of taking a trip and are ready to actually make it happen — this episode is for you. Gennean equips and empowers us to do the things we've been dreaming about for so long, and I'm so excited to share this conversation with you. Learn more about your ad choices. Every Dream comes with everyone's idea of what a dream is. Is it relaxing beach side with your own butler bringing you your cocktail? Or is it climbing Mt Everest…. or did you want to go on an African Safari complete with all your glamping needs. I know what everyone is saying right now. Sure sure…I would like this that and the other thing but what is it going to cost me. I battle with this for a very long time. Hard to make your travel dream come true if you are blinded by dollars signs and you try to nickel and dime yourself. Consequently, I did some research…and you know what I found out. Luxury travel is not such a hard to reach dream…and when it comes right down to it you can actually save by looking at a few different things…Like All Inclusive…or Luxury Ships. In my future podcasts I will be doing a deeper dive in which cruise lines and which all-inclusive and I will do some comparisons for you to see…you have your travel dream. So, what you want to do is first look at what Luxury means to you. My perception of luxury is having everything handed to me when I am traveling. I don't want to break my charge card out for anything. So here is what I would like everyone to do today…Make a travel dream list. Write down everything and anything that you would like to do. Remember it's your dream…not ours. Ask yourselves those questions…Why/Who/What…I don't want you to say how much yet. Collage Travel Radio may be focused on the travel industry, but it brings you great light and bright music streaming on the internet 24/7 and is absolutely free. In this episode, duluwa Juli caught up with Eileen to talk about how Eileen balances working for 6 months in London and travelling South Asia for the rest of the year. As women, the added social obligations could restrict us from living our travel dreams. Eileen is living those travel dreams and goals, but we seldom hear the realities behind the dreams - this episode brings you exactly that! Eileen shares about her experiences as a Westerner in South Asia, and the challenges of being a travel writer as well. Is your dream to travel the world? Don't let a limited budget get in the way. In this episode, Debra discusses creative ways to reduce or eliminate some of the major costs of travel. These are not the "usual suspects" of travel hacking (credit card points, flexible travel dates, etc). Those can be valuable, but we go beyond the usual and talk about outside-the-box ways to travel for next to nothing. For show notes, go to www.moneysmartforlife.com/podcast
Et In Real Life, c'est pareil. On a adoré cet échange plein de vérités, de bon sens, et de valeurs réelles et profondes. Production Blabla Studio
Hey everyone it's Lisa Iannucci and this is a special cross-over episode between both of my podcasts The Reel Travels podcast and The Write Start podcast. My special guest for this episode is Katherine Parker-Magyar, who is an extremely successful travel writer and I thought that writers would want to know how she accomplished what she did as a travel writer and the travelers who listen to Reel Travels would love to listen to what she's accomplished as a traveler and, of course, her interest in film. Katherine Parker Magyar is the guest today and here is a snippet of her bio: “In my career as a travel writer, I've driven husky sleighs through Arctic forests in Finnish Lapland and sailed the Rio Negro to the heart of the Brazilian Amazon. I've practiced yoga with goats in the Swiss Alps and chased Alaskan King Salmon off the shores of Prince of Wales Island. I've jumped into black holes in Belize and trekked across the most active volcanic valleys in the Caribbean. I've hot air ballooned above the Sierra Nevada and tracked rhinos in the savannah of the Maasai Mara."She has written for Architectural Digest, Departures, Forbes, The Week, Business Insider, TripSavvy, The Daily Beast, Tasting Table, Elite Daily, PopSugar, Electrify, Brit + Co, Insider, Go Overseas, Quest Magazine, and the New Jersey Hills Media Group and she is the Caribbean Expert for TripSavvy.Katherine Parker-Magyar has been 6 continents, 63 countries, and all 50 states, I do want you to keep in mind that Katherine talks very fast so listen carefully or slow down the speed of your playback. Katherine, thank you so much for being on the show and thank you all for listening to both the Reel Travels podcast and The Write Start podcast. Palle Bo has lived in the same town in Denmark for most of his life. He traveled when he could but was never really able to go on the epic adventure he'd always dreamed of. One day, he realized: ‘My kids have graduated college and it might just be possible to take my work with me on the road. Maybe my clients won't even know.' One day, he said his travel dreams out loud and suddenly found himself handing the keys to his apartment over to new owners. Thus, the Radio Vagabond Podcast was born and, almost four years later, Palle Bo is still going.
