Today is a special epsiode where I chat to Wilmar in Texas, USA where we talk all things homebirth and birth culture in the context of Australia, the USA & Guatemala, where he was born and lived until 2002. Wilmar is dad to 4 children, all born at home. We connected via a podcaster group, and I couldn't not have him on the podcast! For those who don't know, Guatemala has a very high homebirth rate, and also a high maternal mortality. Wilmar himself was born via c-section, and grew up believing homebirth was only for those too poor to access healthcare. Clive Allwright has been at the forefront of hairdressing excellence over the past 30 years.  For the past 10 years, Clive and his business partner Kelly Grant have co-owned the successful hairdressing salon Our Place Salon in Potts Point Sydney.  The internationally renowned hair stylist has educated hairdressers throughout many continents and counties during his career including, Australia, Africa, Europe, Asia, Scandinavia, USA and Canada.Clive has also been responsible for implementing numerous education programs and global imagery campaigns for global haircare brands KMS California & Muk haircare in the USA & Australia.After completing his apprenticeship and training during the 1980's in Mayfair, London with International salon group Toni & Guy. In this weeks episodes I spoke with Callum McKeefery, the founder of Reviews.io about why collecting and using reviews are so important these days. Trust is becoming more and more important, and so is the use of a trusted platform for this. Fake reviews and review fraud are a big problem and just the slightest doubt in a customers mind about the legitimacy of reviews can turn them away. Any business wanting to be really successful and step up to the next level absolutely must be collecting reviews, and it is really easy. One important thing to realise as well is that negative reviews aren't necessarily a bad thing, they add transparency, and also give you an opportunity to respond to them. Don't be afraid of collecting reviews, just get the emails out there, and do it responsibly. No incentivising! Callum Mckeefery is the founder and CEO of Reviews. He bootstrapped the company to a $10m plus turnover. The company employs 73 people across the UK Germany, USA & Australia.
