In this episode, Dr. Jen White demystifies the "itching and burning" that so many women face but few talk about with clarity. She explains that chronic yeast infections aren't a sign your body is broken—they are a cry for help from your internal ecosystem. Dr. Jen breaks down the "perfect storm" of stress, low thyroid, and gut stagnation that allows Candida to thrive. You'll learn why "healthy" fermented foods might be fueling your flare-ups, how bioidentical hormones actually support tissue integrity, and the exact clinical protocol Dr. Jen uses to help her clients find permanent relief. It's time to stop the cycle of discomfort and regain sovereignty over your body. Themes & Key Takeaways The Gut-Vagina Axis: Why low stomach acid and slow motility create the perfect fermentation environment for yeast. Hidden Food Triggers: Understanding why vinegar, nutritional yeast, and excess protein can cause flare-ups even on a "clean" diet. Hormones & Tissue Integrity: How bioidentical progesterone and pelvic floor ointments strengthen your natural defenses against infection. Root Cause Myths: Debunking the idea that fruit or natural sugars are the primary enemies in the fight against Candida. The Signature Protocol: A deep dive into the clinical use of herbal antifungals, NAC for biofilms, and strategic pharmaceuticals. What is happening inside the body that makes us so prone to this cycle of infection, treatment, and recurrence? Welcome back to our weekend Cabral HouseCall shows! This is where we answer our community's wellness, weight loss, and anti-aging questions to help people get back on track! Check out today's questions:    Darren: Good day to you, your family and team Dr Cabral. I listened to Dr Rhonda Patrick saying Bananas, Beets, Swiss chard, collard greens have an enzyme in them called polyphenol oxidase which degrades Polyphenols in blueberries and other high polyphenol containing foods. She says it's best not to add them to smoothies with blueberries etc. Is this accurate or the drawback is not that bad?     Jenn: Hi Dr. Cabral! Ever since I was pregnant with my second baby, I get this metal taste in my mouth. It happened during the first trimester, was happening as much during the 2nd but came back in the 3rd. From what I've researched it based on hormonal changes. But 7 months postpartum I'm still experiencing the metal taste every day - typically at night. I thought this goes away after giving birth. I'm so curious as to why this continues to happen and what I can do about it. Thank you so much!!     Vanessa: I have had recurring yeast infections for a year. I have taken a gut test where I collected stool for three days then did the micribiome labs gut support package for six months and cut out most sugar (only in coffee) and went mostly keto/carnivore. Last antibiotic taken three years ago after a surgery. It went well for about four months. Now it's back in my vagina and I get it on two fingers. I have a lot of stress due to a divorce and job (nurse). Please help with a protocol to rid this yeast once and all from my body. Thank you for your time     Carol: Hi dr. Cabral. I have something called Hoffa's syndrome in my knees. I was wondering if you had a natural approach to this, my insurance will cover steroid shots, but do not want to go that route. Or liposuction. Thanks for any advice. I appreciate all you do.     Teresa: Hi Dr Cabral, can you please talk about hashitoxicosis. I have Hashimotos and my latest thyroid tests showed that my TPOab was really high and my other thyroid levels were hyperactive.      Thank you for tuning into today's Cabral HouseCall and be sure to check back tomorrow where we answer more of our community's questions!    - - - Show Notes and Resources: StephenCabral.com/3207 - - - Get a FREE Copy of Dr. Cabral's Book: The Rain Barrel Effect - - - Join the Community & Get Your Questions Answered: CabralSupportGroup.com - - - Dr. Cabral's Most Popular At-Home Lab Tests: > Complete Minerals & Metals Test (Test for mineral imbalances & heavy metal toxicity) - - - > Complete Candida, Metabolic & Vitamins Test (Test for 75 biomarkers including yeast & bacterial gut overgrowth, as well as vitamin levels) - - - > Complete Stress, Mood & Metabolism Test (Discover your complete thyroid, adrenal, hormone, vitamin D & insulin levels) - - - > Complete Food Sensitivity Test (Find out your hidden food sensitivities) - - - > Complete Omega-3 & Inflammation Test (Discover your levels of inflammation related to your omega-6 to omega-3 levels) - - - Get Your Question Answered On An Upcoming HouseCall: StephenCabral.com/askcabral - - - Would You Take 30 Seconds To Rate & Review The Cabral Concept? Welcome back to our weekend Cabral HouseCall shows! This is where we answer our community's wellness, weight loss, and anti-aging questions to help people get back on track! Check out today's questions:      Sarah: I'm dealing with reoccurring yeast infections, despite already completing the CBO protocol. Ive been prescribed by my doctor to take a fluconazole pessary every week for 6 months. I'm unsure where to go from here. Is there any downsides to taking an antifungal for this long? Would it be better to do the CBO protocol again? I feel like nothing is working     Jenna: What are your thoughts on the new technology of contact lenses with built-in blue light blockers in the lens?     Amber: Hey, whenever I take a supplement for anxiety/depression I have always gotten a significant headache and head fog. I would always try and look this up, but I would never find people who struggle with the same symptoms. An example is St. John's wort, ashwagandha, bach remedies, etc. I have also had the same experience with mushroom supplements and horse chestnut. Not sure if these all have the same reason on why I experience these symptoms, but I was wondering if you had an answer. A naturopath suggested to me that it may be because my parasympathetic nervous system has been shut down for so long and it's just waking up with these supplements. I would appreciate your feedback. Thank you!     Melinda: Hi doctor Cabral I've been hearing a lot about the significance of optimal VO2 max, particularly for cardiovascular health, managing insuline, and enhancing mood and sleep. HIIT is often recommended as an effective way to improve VO2 max, but it's also known to increase cortisol levels. I'm in peri-menopause, so I really need to be careful about high cortisol. What do you think about this? Should I still do HIIT regardless, or are there some other ways to improve VO2 max and still keep my cortisol low. Thanks so much for your answer. Kind regards, Melinda     Melissa: Hi Dr. Cabral - is doing the sauna safe when you're a breastfeeding mom? I read about toxins entering the breast milk but wasn't sure if that's true. Also I was wondering if you should do the “natural Gatorade” with the lime and sea salt before or after coffee in the morning? I'm looking forward to sharing with you some of our community's questions that have come in over the past few weeks…   Ales: Dr. Cabral, what do you think of Palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) as a natural help with severe histamine intolerance? If everything else fails, would you recommend this compound to help with mast cells a and supress their excessive production of histamine? Is it even natural suplement like compound or a drug? Please help me understand. Thank you   Sarah: I've had reoccurring UTIs and always have to take antibiotics to clear it despite knowing how destructive they can be. This has led to reoccurring yeast infections. I'm about to start the CBO protocol for the yeast, how do I tackle the UTIs? I've tried ALL the natural remedies (dmannose, uva ursi, oregano, probiotics etc) and still suffering and feel my only resort is antibiotics which I want to avoid, as I'm now dealing with yeast overgrowth too. Thank you!!   Sarah: My boyfriend has a staph infection that is showing up as rash/pimples all over his body. Dermatologists are telling him the only option is antibiotics. He also has done lab testing and is showing an overgrowth of candida krusei. Trying to avoid antibiotic use as much as possible especially when he has an overgrowth of candida. He is about to start the CBO protocol. Is there anything that can be done for staph naturally/preventing it, other than washing with ACV, tea trea, coconut oil as we've tried that.   Jim: Hello Dr. C! I can't thank you enough for all of the hard work you put into these podcasts. I binge listen to them when I travel. I've searched but can't find anything on Post Exertional Malaise. I've been dealing with a variety of health issues from Hashimoto's to, most recently, toxic mold poisoning. I'm currently doing your mold protocol and am having some really bad flare-ups that are very similar to ones I've been experiencing for a few years. To describe what happens, it's as if I am a battery powered robot and my battery go dead. I can literally feel my body shut off, like my battery has been drained. I've had "the virus" twice so I looked into Long Covid and ran across PEM. I checked all the boxes for the symptoms but how can I verify it is this and not the mold?   Amanda: Hello! Just wondering what to do for a 3 year old with very inconsistent bowel movements/pellets. Tried high dose vitamin C/magnesium citrate, oxypowder, higher fiber diet, castor oil packs at night, energy work, osteopath, Epsom salt baths, prunes, pears etc. Diet is on point, only choline and ghee butter trigger bowel movements, but if I stop these then it gets irregular. Any advice on supplements/tinctures or foods that can support bile flow? Any advice on how to correct these bowel issues for a toddler, or where to start? Thank you very much for all your help !!!   Thank you for tuning into this weekend's Cabral HouseCalls and be sure to check back tomorrow for our Mindset & Motivation Monday show to get your week started off right! - - - Show Notes and Resources: StephenCabral.com/3068 - - - Get a FREE Copy of Dr.
