**This conversation is all about psilocybin-assisted therapy, but it is not medical advice. Psilocybin is not appropriate for everyone, laws vary by location, and anyone interested in this work should seek support only from qualified professionals in legal, regulated settings.**In this episode of The Mental Training Lab, I sit down with Adam O'Neil, a Boulder-based licensed psychologist and clinical psilocybin facilitator working at the intersection of mental health, performance psychology, and natural medicine.Adam brings a rare combination of rigor and heart to this conversation. We talk about the importance of comprehensive psychological assessment, the structure of psilocybin-assisted therapy, and why preparation, facilitation, and integration matter just as much as the journey itself. We also explore how plant medicine, when approached responsibly, can help people encounter deeper layers of identity, trauma, shame, avoidance, and pressure that traditional mental skills training may not fully reach. You'll learn about the role of acceptance, surrender, ancestral wisdom, and cultural humility in this work. And why athletes and high performers may be drawn to deeper healing beyond optimization. Whether or not psilocybin is part of your path, this conversation offers a powerful reminder that performance is not separate from wholeness, and that sometimes the next level of growth requires us to stop fixing ourselves and start meeting ourselves more honestly.Learn more about Adam's work and The Clearing healing center here: www.theclearingboulder.comSign up for The Deeper Game of Coaching Summer Cohort - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Learn more about The Mental Training LabConnect with Pete on Instagram | LinkedIn | WebsiteSubscribe to the podcast on Apple | SpotifyThis show is produced and edited by the team at Palm Tree Pod Co.
On this episode of Power House, Zeb Lowe sits down with Adam O'Daniel of Guild Mortgage to discuss one of the defining challenges facing housing professionals today: building trust in an era where information is everywhere and credibility is harder to earn than ever. Drawing from recent consumer research, O'Daniel explains why younger buyers increasingly trust friends, family, online communities and digital content more than traditional financial institutions. For lenders and real estate professionals, that shift changes the game. Trust is no longer inherited through a logo or brand name—it must be built through education, transparency and consistent value. The conversation explores the transition from the attention economy to the intention economy, where AI-powered search and recommendation tools are reshaping how consumers find information. Rather than competing for clicks, O'Daniel argues that professionals should focus on becoming the most helpful answer when consumers actively seek guidance. That means creating educational content, answering real questions and building a digital presence that establishes expertise over time.

A major freight market intelligence leader is leaving DAT for a brokerage and he's explaining exactly why. Ken Adamo joins me and Peter Coratola to talk about what most people misunderstand about DAT, how brokers should actually use spot market data, and why the best teams treat analytics as decision support rather than a single “rate truth.” If you've ever argued over Rateview screenshots, struggled to explain pricing to a shipper, or wondered why fancy tools don't get adopted, this one will hit home.We also break news: Ken is joining Ease Logistics as Chief Strategy Officer. We unpack what that role looks like inside a modern, tech-forward brokerage, from product and pricing science to tech adoption and strategic bets. Along the way we debate the seductive idea of drop trailers and why trailer pools can turn into a margin-killing operational tax if you don't have the systems, discipline, and accountability to manage them. Then we go straight into the market: Winter Storm Fern, RFP behavior, and the mistakes that cost incumbents freight when they panic, give volume back, or “quote cowardly.” Ken shares a grounded outlook on contract rates, the capacity flush, and why 2026 is the table-setting year that can create a huge 2027 for brokers who stay disciplined on pricing, operations, and portfolio thinking (yes, including the reality that some loads go negative). If you like honest freight broker talk with practical strategy, subscribe, share this with a teammate, and leave a review so more operators can find it.Follow The Freight Pod and host Andrew Silver on LinkedIn.Thanks to our sponsors:Stuut Technologies: Your AI coworker that collects your cash automatically.https://www.stuut.ai/Cloneops.ai: Not just AI. We wanted to fix that by pulling apart the most common indemnity myths we hear in practice and replacing them with plain-English explanations you can use at renewal time.We talk through the real differences between discretionary dental indemnity and non-discretionary professional indemnity insurance for UK dentists, including why having a contract, clear policy wording, and a route to the Financial Ombudsman Service can matter when the pressure is on. We also challenge the rumour that “insurers always look for a way out”, and explain what a fair presentation of risk looks like in the real world.Another big sticking point is fear. Many dentists hesitate to call their indemnity provider for advice because they worry next year's indemnity premium will jump. We unpack why good providers want you to call early, how early notification helps resolve issues before they become claims, and why risk management advice can be as valuable as the cover itself. From there we get practical about pricing: claims made vs claims occurrence, retroactive cover, and why “cheaper” is only meaningful once you understand what is and is not included. We also cover switching, including the anxiety some clinicians feel about leaving a mutual and whether past work stays protected. If you want to make an educated choice instead of a habitual one, this is the conversation to hear. Subscribe for more dentistry finance insights, share this with a colleague who is renewing soon, and leave us a review with the one indemnity myth you want busted next.———————————————————————Disclaimer: All content on this channel is for education purposes only and does not constitute an investment recommendation or individual financial advice. TESTO DELL'ARTICOLO ➜ https://www.bastabugie.it/8499OMELIA III DOM. In cammino (Lc 24,13).

This is a lead generation focused podcast about a novel B2B sales follow-up strategy.Summary of PodcastKey TakeawaysNovel Follow-Up Strategy: A third-party "good cop" provides hyper-relevant value (e.g., podcast intros) to prospects, bypassing their AI-filtered inboxes and achieving 70–80% reply rates.AI-Proofing Business: The strategy is designed to be AI-proof by focusing on human connection, a core element Adam believes AI cannot fully automate.AI's Primary Blocker: Kevin identified legacy systems as the main barrier to AI adoption in finance, not resistance to the technology itself.Podcast Book Opportunity: The podcast's 500+ episodes offer a rich source for an AI-assisted book, distilling key lessons and future-casting.The Problem: Ineffective Sales Follow-UpStandard "just checking in" emails are ineffective, especially with high-value prospects ($5M+ revenue) who use AI-powered inbox filters. These filters learn to ignore senders after 2–3 unanswered emails, causing messages to be routed to spam.Result: 66% of marketing-qualified leads are lost because they are not ready to buy immediately. The Solution: A "Good Cop" Follow-Up StrategyAdam's firm, SimpleWins.io, acts as a third-party "good cop" to maintain engagement with prospects outside the main sales cycle.Process:Web Listening: A team monitors public signals (news, podcasts, blogs) to identify a prospect's current, hyper-relevant goals.Value Delivery: The team offers non-sales-related value aligned with those goals (e.g., podcast intros, affiliate partnerships).Expert Positioning: The "good cop" builds a separate relationship, subtly reinforcing the client's expertise until the prospect is ready to buy.Result: This approach achieves 70–80% reply rates, far exceeding the typical 0–20% for standard sales emails.AI's Impact on Business & AutomationAdam's Perspective:AI will automate most administrative tasks, creating "super soldiers" who manage large pipelines with AI assistants. The core human element of understanding business needs will remain essential.Adam is in a "race" to automate his own business, noting AI reduced a software development task from 3 months to 14 minutes.Kevin's Perspective:The main barrier to AI adoption in finance is legacy systems, not human resistance.Integrating AI requires a major transformation, not a simple bolt-on.AI enables advanced capabilities like continuous, multi-scenario forecasting (e.g., Monte Carlo simulations) that are impractical for humans. The current focus in finance is on governance, data security, and fraud prevention. Is online continuing education enough to elevate your dentistry? With unlimited access to webinars, social media cases, and on-demand videos, it's easy to believe you can master complex procedures from a screen. But is that really how clinical excellence is built? In this episode, Kirk Behrendt interviews Dr. Adamo Notarantonio, educator, clinician, and faculty member at the Kois Center, about the critical differences between online and in-person learning. They discuss why hands-on training, mentorship, and layered learning are essential for developing technical skill, clinical judgment, and the ability to think under pressure. You'll learn how to adopt CE with patience, how to avoid the social media comparison trap, and why real growth requires more than watching a video. If you want to elevate your thinking and your results, listen to Episode 1008 of The Best Practices Show!Main TakeawaysIn-person, hands-on education is essential for mastering clinical techniques that cannot be fully learned through online videos.True clinical growth requires repetition, deliberate practice, and mentorship over time.Social media often presents highlight reels that do not reflect the full clinical reality behind cases. The ability to think outside the box during unexpected clinical situations separates good clinicians from great clinicians.Layered learning—lecture, hands-on application, mentorship, and case review—deepens understanding and improves implementation.Dentists should focus on competing with themselves rather than comparing their work to others.Adopting CE effectively requires patience and a long-term mindset rather than seeking rapid results.Snippets00:00 Introduction and Welcome00:18 Meet Adamo: A Special Guest01:20 The Importance of Continuing Education02:48 Adamo's Journey and Career Changes04:15 Hands-On Learning vs. Online Education07:43 The Value of In-Person Training09:48 Thinking Outside the Box in Dentistry12:22 Mindset and Continuous Learning14:47 The Reality of Social Media in Dentistry16:29 The Reality of Before and After16:41 The Trust Factor with Instagram16:58 AI in Dentistry Presentations17:29 The Importance of Clinical Tips18:20 The Role of Educators in Dentistry

The Space Show Presents Dan Adamo, Sunday, 1-18-26Quick SummaryOur program focused on a detailed discussion of lunar exploration architectures and orbital dynamics, led by Dan Adamo, a former NASA mission controller with extensive experience in orbital rendezvous. Dan explained why NASA's current Artemis program uses a nearly rectilinear halo orbit around the Moon, despite its instability and operational challenges, primarily due to constraints imposed by the Orion spacecraft's service module and the Space Launch System (SLS). He advocated for a lunar surface rendezvous architecture as a more sustainable and flexible approach for human lunar missions, emphasizing the importance of minimizing rendezvous and having infrastructure pre-positioned on the lunar surface. Dan also criticized the current Artemis timeline, expressing concerns about the program's risk tolerance and the marginal safety margins built into the mission design. The discussion highlighted the trade-offs between meeting political timelines, managing risks, and achieving a sustainable human presence on the Moon.Detailed SummaryDan Adamo discussed his views on NASA's Artemis program and lunar exploration strategies. He criticized the current plan for using a complex lunar orbit that may not be optimal for human missions. Dan suggested that NASA should consider using lunar surface rendezvous, where cargo and crew launches would meet on the moon's surface, rather than relying on in-space propellant depots. He emphasized the importance of having a robust and flexible architecture that can adapt to delays and other challenges in spaceflight. Dan also expressed concerns about the current schedule for lunar missions, suggesting that taking more time to develop a better architecture might be worth it if it leads to a more successful and sustainable program.Dan discussed his experience with orbital dynamics and rendezvous operations, highlighting his work with NASA's shuttle program and his advocacy for a lunar architecture inspired by the “land anywhere, leave anytime” mantra. He expressed optimism about private space stations, noting their increased payload capacity compared to the shuttle and the potential for more efficient operations. Dan also addressed challenges in launching and operating spacecraft, including environmental factors like solar flares, meteor showers, and collision avoidance, emphasizing the importance of careful planning and coordination. Our guest continued by explaining the challenges and benefits of different space launch architectures, expressing a preference for heavy-lift launches to lower Earth orbit for cargo missions before heading to the moon. He shared a detailed diagram of the Capstone mission's orbit around the Sun-Earth L1 point, which is about 1.2 million kilometers away, or five times the Earth-Moon distance. Dan also described the Apollo missions' lunar orbit characteristics, noting that they operated at an altitude of 100 kilometers with a 2-hour orbit period, and highlighted the Apollo service module's capabilities for large plane changes and emergency returns.Dan went on to discuss the challenges of the Artemis program's lunar orbit, highlighting the one-week orbital period and the limitations of the Orion service module. He criticized the decision to reuse Space Shuttle parts and the concept of using Orion as a crew return vehicle from a Mars mission, noting the high risks and costs involved. Dan also explained the instability of the planned orbit and the need for frequent course corrections, contrasting it with the more stable lunar orbits of the Apollo missions. David questioned the reasoning behind these plans, suggesting that the pros may not outweigh the cons.Dan and David discussed the challenges of space exploration, particularly the political influences and financial constraints that affect mission planning. Dan explained that while engineers and mission planners strive to create sustainable programs, the lack of a clear business case for lunar and Mars exploration means that politics often drives funding decisions. They compared the Chinese space architecture to NASA's plans, noting that China's approach involves fewer launches and a simpler mission profile, though it still presents challenges with debris disposal and rendezvous. Dan emphasized the importance of careful planning and the need for reliable systems to avoid damaging valuable lunar infrastructure.Dan repeated that lunar surface rendezvous as a preferred architecture for human lunar missions, emphasizing its advantages over other approaches. He argued that this method minimizes rendezvous, reduces orbital debris, and allows for a “land-anywhere-leave-any-time” capability, which is crucial for sustainable lunar exploration. Dan also highlighted the challenges of current architectures, such as the Artemis program, and expressed concerns about the lack of exploration capability in the Chinese lunar mission. While he would be happy to share his expertise with decision-makers, Dan noted that any changes to the Artemis program would likely face delays and political challenges. The discussion went on to focus on the stability and operational considerations of lunar orbits, particularly the nearly rectilinear halo orbit chosen for the Gateway. Dan explained that while the orbit appears stable, it requires frequent propulsion corrections due to perturbations from various celestial bodies, including Jupiter, Saturn, and Mars, as well as solar winds. He suggested that a more stable alternative would be a distant retrograde orbit at approximately 10,000-12,000 kilometers from the moon with a one-day period. The conversation also touched on the Gateway's propulsion system, which will use xenon gas in Hall-effect thrusters, though Dan noted that the exact propellant type is still uncertain.Dan expressed excitement about Artemis II but noted that Orion cannot safely enter lunar orbit due to performance constraints. He discussed the mission's trajectory, explaining that it will fly by the moon's far side at a specific altitude for a free return to Earth, potentially not setting a new human altitude record. Dan also shared his thoughts on human lunar landers, expressing concerns about SpaceX's Starship design and suggesting Blue Moon as a potential alternative. He concluded by explaining the need for specific launch windows to mitigate heat shield issues on Orion's return trajectory. In summary, we focused on the Artemis program and its challenges, with Dan expressing concerns about taking unnecessary risks to meet the 2028 moon landing timeline. He emphasized the need for calculated risks and highlighted the marginal nature of the current architecture. The group discussed the program of record for Artemis III, including the timing of launches and rendezvous with the Starship lander. They also explored the potential for robots and AI to assist in lunar missions and the possibility of a space elevator to the moon. Dan shared his plans to develop a launch simulator to better understand and share launch trajectories, which raised questions about space traffic management.Special thanks to our sponsors:American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Helix Space in Luxembourg, Celestis Memorial Spaceflights, Astrox Corporation, Dr. Haym Benaroya of Rutgers University, The Space Settlement Progress Blog by John Jossy, The Atlantis Project, and Artless EntertainmentOur Toll Free Line for Live Broadcasts: 1-866-687-7223 (Not in service at this time)For real time program participation, email Dr. Space at: drspace@thespaceshow.com for instructions and access. The Space Show is a non-profit 501C3 through its parent, One Giant Leap Foundation, Inc. This week on Family Policy Matters, NC Family's Mitch Prosser and Adamo Manfra discuss the foundational truths represented in the Declaration of Independence and how they impact NC Family's work 250 years later.
This week's guests are my two DAT iQ colleagues: Ken Adamo, Chief of Analytics, and Dean Croke, Principal Analyst. This is our annual end of the year podcast where we revisit our predictions from last year, discuss the major issues of the current year, and take our best guesses as to what will happen next year. We did not do that well in our annual predictions for 2025 - we all expected dry van spot rates to increase by anywhere from 3 to 12% when in fact they dropped by more than 2%. Tariff uncertainty and weak demand were noted as the primary culprits. Ken aptly described 2025 as "a long protracted sigh." Dean expressed the surprising influence of social media on regulatory policy, as a questionable TikTok video led to an executive order and strengthened FMCSA policy regarding English language proficiency and CDL standards. This led to predictions that 2026 will bring a gradual recovery mainly due to the exodus of capacity rather than any increase in demand. The conversation concludes with predictions for 2026 dry van spot rates, with forecasts ranging from an increase of 3% to 10% by the end of the year. Let's see how we do! Europe's center of gravity has shifted eastward, and few political leaders stand out as capable of leading the necessary changes to revitalize, rather than regulate, the aging West. The Washington Post's new editorial vision hopes to address these concerns, shaping how we think about ourselves and our allies in the coming years. The first step in avoiding Europe's fate here at home is confronting the complacency that assumes we could never backslide. And part of that responsibility rests with the media. What can we learn from Europe? Which policies should we avoid imitating?
