Project 2025 gained publicity as an outline for the Republican platform. While it is something that may lead the way, the policies were drafted by a Right Wing political thinktank known as Heritage Foundation. The Red Cross may be into more than just blood donations. The organization, connected to Vatican and the Jesuits, have been instrumental in trafficking Illegal Immigration that a country is exchanged with its citizenship. This has Catholic advantage. They also initiated "isoation quarantine camps." Some suspect these are more like detention camps. For whom? Can't be for the flood of immigrants since they are not occupied by such, but possibly housing for dissidents, those opposed to a NWO agenda. They will be re-educated to think correctly. Beginning in August 1946, stateless and visaless Jews, most of them survivors of the Nazi death camps, who sought to immigrate to the Land of Israel were intercepted by the Royal Navy and deported to the nearby island of Cyprus, where they were detained in camps surrounded by barbed wire. Despite occupying a dramatic and fateful position in modern history, this saga has remained largely inaccessible due to the widespread dispersal of the primary sources and the linguistic difficulties presented by them.  To address these problems, Yitzhak Teutsch's book The Cyprus Detention Camps: The Essential Research Guide (Cambridge Scholars, 2019) scrutinizes the scholarly literature, consulting hundreds of primary sources, many of them previously unknown, on three continents, bringing together interviews with scores of eyewitnesses, and translating foreign-language terms into English. The result is a comprehensive, meticulously footnoted guide that uses such tools as maps, a detailed timeline, and biographical entries to make this riveting saga accessible to a broad audience of scholars and general readers. For years, relatives of suspected ISIS fighters — including the families of many foreign fighters — have languished in massive detention camps in northern Syria. These camps, home to tens of thousands of children, have become the sites of a violent, festering humanitarian crisis, with no clear end in sight. Now, that crisis may be about to get much worse. The camps are guarded by a U.S.-backed Kurdish military group, which is now being bombed by Turkey. They say if the Turkish offensive continues, they'll have no choice but to abandon the camps to go fight. Experts fear this could have disastrous consequences — including a possible resurgence of ISIS. Today, BBC investigative reporter Poonam Taneja, who is on the ground in northern Syria, joins us for a look at the camps and the disastrous situation that could unfold in the region.

Children as young as four have been raped and tortured by Putin‘s thugs in Ukraine, UN experts have claimed. The team from the Commission of Inquiry on Ukraine have investigated alleged war crimes in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Kharkiv and Sumy, finding evidence of sexual abuse, executions, bombing of civilian areas and torture. They cited testimonies by former detainees of beatings, electric shocks and forced nudity in Russian detention facilities. An unspecified number of Russian soldiers were found to have committed crimes of sexual or gender-based violence – with victims ranging in age from four to 82 years old, Erik Mose, the commission's chairman, told the Human Rights Council. He said the team was ‘struck by the large number of executions in the areas that we visited', and the frequent ‘visible signs of executions on bodies, such as hands tied behind backs, gunshot wounds to the head, and slit throats'. He said: ‘Based on the evidence gathered by the commission, it has concluded that war crimes have been committed in Ukraine.' Investigators carry a body bag past multiple corpses on the forest floor, near Izyum, eastern Ukraine, today A worker carries a cross during a burial ceremony for unidentified persons killed in the Bucha district Erik Mose, the commission's chairman (pictured today) cited testimonies by former detainees of beatings, electric shocks and forced nudity It comes as Ukrainian officials said today that 436 bodies have been exhumed from a mass burial site in Izium, 30 of them with visible signs of torture. The governor of the Kharkiv region, Oleh Synyehubov, and the region's police chief, Volodymyr Tymoshko, said three more grave sites have been located in areas retaken by Ukrainian forces in a counteroffensive this month During their 10-day June trip to Ukraine, the UN team visited Bucha, a city outside Kyiv where Ukrainian authorities found mass graves and bodies strewn in the streets after Russian forces pulled out in late March. ‘We were struck by the large number of executions in the areas that we visited. The commission is currently investigating such deaths in 16 towns and settlements,' Mose said. He didn't specify who or which side in the war allegedly committed the killings. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/world-voices/support

This week on Hashtag History, we are discussing the Japanese Detention Camps, camps that were established here in the United States during World War II following the attack of Pearl Harbor. Under President Franklin Roosevelt’s Executive Order 9066, it became policy for the U.S. Government to place HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of Japanese in detention camps here on American soil. Of the more than 120,000 people placed in these detention camps, more than 60% of them were American citizens. It was said that someone with as little as 1/16th Japanese lineage could be placed in a detention camp. China calls them centres for re-education. The United States says the actions of the state amount to genocide. As more testimonies emerge from China’s “re-education” camps in the Xinjiang region of China, Colin Murray speaks to a former detainee who recounts appalling abuses, a reporter who posed as a tourist to gain access to the region, and a Uighur American who fears he’ll never see his mother again following her internment. Independent estimates suggest more than a million men and women have been detained in the network of camps, while human rights groups allege mass detention and forced sterilization - both allegations are denied by the Chinese government. Journalist Isobel Yeung describes her experience of China’s Orwellian surveillance and harassment first-hand during her time in Xinjiang, and how she captured hidden-camera footage of multiple Uighur men being detained by police in the middle of the night: “It's almost laughable the amount of reasons that a Uighur individual could end up in a very high security prison essentially. People told me that they'd been imprisoned for wearing a headscarf or from having WhatsApp on their phone, or from reading Arabic on their phone. The list goes on and on and on and it's incredible. Almost every Uighur individual is seen as a direct security threat, and that is exactly how they're treated.” Uighur-American engineer, Ferkat Jawdat left China in 2011 but his mother was denied a passport despite being granted an American visa. She's since been repeatedly detained in camps and following her release is still not allowed to leave her home. Ferkat has become an activist and leading voice on the treatment of the Uighur people but says he’s been warned to stop speaking out: “In 2019 I had a meeting with (the US) former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. So after three days I learnt that my mum was being transferred from the camp to a prison and then I received a message that I had to stop speaking out. If not, that I would lose my mum forever.” Tursunay Ziawudun spent two periods detained in a camp in Xinjiang. The second stint lasted nine months, and it’s during this time she says she was raped and tortured: “For a woman, who suffered from gang rapes it’s an unspeakable shame, but if I don’t speak up I have siblings and their children there, and our future generations are living there, and what is going to happen to our Uyghur women and their children? Bearing in mind of all those who are still suffering, I am prepared to make all sacrifices.” “How many women like me have suffered their abuse, I am not the only one, many of them are so young and innocent, I appeal to the world that it must not standby idly, I wish to believe and hope that the world will act.”

He said the same thing at a rally in Delhi's Ram Lila Maidan, earlier this week as he launched his party's campaign for Delhi Assembly Elections in February 2020.But despite the prime minister's promise…the reality on the ground is different.Assam currently has at least six temporary detention centres located inside jails. and the plan is to built at least 10 more. the state is only waiting now, for the centre's approval. The country's largest detention camp is also being built in the state's Matia region as we speak, at a cost of approximately Rs 46 crore.Down south, Karnataka recently opened its first foreigner detention center. One that's situated about 40 kilometres from Bengaluru near Nelamangla. Another was planned in Maharashtra by the previous Fadanavis government, but then with the change of power in the state, the new Shiv Sena govt in the state has scrapped it for now.So why is India building detention centres and why does the PM want you to believe otherwise?Guests: Tridip Mandal, The QuintAditya Menon, Political Editor, The QuintHost & Producer: Vishnu GopinathEditor: Shelly Walia

A last-minute booking, a furtive cab ride and a spy in the window. For the past year, Paul Mozur has been investigating the story of a son determined to free his mother from a repressive system of detention and surveillance in western China. In doing so, he found a crack in China’s surveillance state — and a mother on her deathbed in Xinjiang.Today, we hear from the man’s mother for the first time. Guest: Paul Mozur, a technology reporter for The New York Times based in Shanghai, spoke with Ferkat Jawdat, a Uighur who is an American citizen and lives in Virginia, and his mother in Xinjiang, China. For more information on today’s episode, visit nytimes.com/thedaily. Background reading:The Chinese authorities are using a vast secret system of facial recognition technology to control the Uighurs, a largely Muslim minority in western China. The government may also be taking citizens’ DNA without consent to enhance the system.“We must be as harsh as them, and show absolutely no mercy.” Leaked documents reveal how the Chinese authorities orchestrated the crackdown on one million or more ethnic Uighurs. If you missed our previous interviews with Mr. Jawdat, here are Part 1 and Part 2.

Leaked documents from inside the Chinese government lay out the country’s policies on the surveillance and mass internment of Uighurs and other Muslim minorities in China’s Xinjiang province. For a long time, the Chinese government has denied the existence of these mass detention camps, and then said they were for vocational training. But what these cables reveal feels straight out of a dystopian novel.  Host Tamara Khandaker speaks with Bethany Allen-Ebrahim, lead reporter for the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists on the China Cables. They discuss what the leaked documents reveal about the Chinese government’s policies toward Uighurs — and unpack how we got here.

Pentagon chief Mark Esper has fired Navy Secretary Richard Spencer over his handling of the case of a SEAL accused of war crimes who President Trump has defended. Trump tweeted his satisfaction with Spencer's firing and says he'll nominate the U.S. ambassador to Norway to replace him. Spencer says he and Trump appear no longer to share the same understanding of "the key principle of good order and discipline." Newly revealed classified documents show that camps the Chinese government runs in the country's far west are not for voluntary job training, as Beijing says, but for forced ideological and behavioral re-education. The documents lay out the government's deliberate strategy to lock up predominantly Muslim minorities to forcibly assimilate them and rewire their thinking. Taylor Swift has surpassed Michael Jackson's record at the American Music Awards. Swift took home six honors, including artist of the year, at Sunday's show....beating Jackson's record of 24 AMAs.

Jim Downs, a historian and professor at Connecticut College, talks with Dave Ross about a devastating but little-known smallpox epidemic that affected former slaves immediately after the Civil War. The widespread illness was minimized for political reasons - and Jim argues we see the same rationale repeating today in our healthcare policy debates. How do politics and policy actually affect real people in their daily lives? Dave and Jim discuss the Democrat's 2020 campaign towards universal healthcare, and the crisis at our southern border. Julie Schwietert Collazo is the co-founder and director of Immigrant Families Together (IFT), an organization founded in response to the zero tolerance immigration policy initiated in 2018 that has resulted in the separation of thousands of immigrant parents and their children at the U.S./Mexico border. She brings her background as a bilingual journalist and former social worker to bear on her work with IFT, which raised more than a million dollars in just over six months, posting bond for more than 73 detained parents, grandparents, and older siblings who were separated from children. The ongoing work of IFT involves providing support to these families— housing, legal counsel, medical/dental/mental health care, and other necessities— as they proceed with their immigration cases. She is currently writing a book with one of the mothers affected by the zero tolerance policy. The book will be published in English and Spanish editions by HarperOne. Scott interviews Ashtyn Tayler, who provides first aid to refugees on the Southern Border of the United States. She described the squalid conditions there, with recent immigrants suffering from unchecked head and body lice infestations, having gone more than 10 days without bathing in Trump’s camps, where they were forced to eat, defecate and sleep in the same confined spaces. Ashtyn’s shocking and detailed description of their lives inside ICE detention exposes the havoc that Trump’s zero-tolerance policy of contempt and neglect for civil undocumented immigration offenses is inflicting upon immigrants. Ashtyn Tayler’s story raises the specter that we are witnessing in Trump’s crackdown America’s single worst violation of the 8th Amendment’s prohibition on cruel and unusual punishment. This is Part 2 of her story. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/dworkinreport/support
