In this conversation, Dr. Beau and Greg Rose discuss various topics related to movement and injury. They touch on the alternating joint hypothesis, the three pathways of injury (trauma, insidious onset pain, and altered motor control), and the importance of hands-on palpation and manual therapy in treatment. They also discuss the potential for a TPI-like model for screening and coaching runners. Overall, they emphasize the importance of understanding movement and addressing both mobility and stability issues in order to prevent and treat injuries. Running as a sport requires highly trained skills, just like pitching in baseball. Any movement can be turned into a sports skill with the right boundaries, technique, and rules. Running can be a skill, especially in sprinting and distance running, where training plays a significant role. However, the challenge lies in maintaining proper form and technique over long distances. Shoe fitting is crucial in running, as it should match an individual's physical abilities and needs. Force plates have revolutionized training by allowing coaches to understand and evaluate athletes' movements and exercises. Guidance devices, like RNT, can be helpful in teaching proper movement patterns, but it's essential to transition to performing without the device to ensure transferability. Motor learning drills should be practiced with variety, high conscious level participation, and sufficient time to strengthen tissues and make individuals more resilient. The decision to transition from motor learning to strengthening is a coaching decision based on trust and proficiency in performing the desired movement pattern. In this part of the conversation, Greg Rose and Dr. Beau discuss the concept of advantageous asymmetries in sports. They talk about how certain asymmetries can be beneficial for athletes in specific sports, such as golf and baseball. They also touch on the topic of normal movement patterns and how they can differ among athletes. Additionally, they discuss the importance of force production and how it affects performance. They mention the idea of the 'big brake theory,' which suggests that an athlete's ability to decelerate is crucial for acceleration. Finally, they mention ongoing research and development in the field of movement analysis, including the exploration of top-tier movements for assessing wrist and foot mechanics.

Dave Phillips believes in living life with passion, curiosity, and purpose. Described as "a visionary thinker with a passion for high-performance coaching," Phillips co-founded the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI). A member of the Professional Golf Association (PGA) of America since 1993. Dave has been a Golf Magazine Top 100 teacher since 2000 and is a Golf Digest Top 50 teacher in America. He currently coaches world number one golfer Jon Rahm and is part of hall of fame golfer Phil Mickelson's team. In 2004, Dave Phillips and Dr. Greg Rose developed TPI, the world's first golf performance facility that looked at every aspect of a player's game, from equipment fitting to biomechanics and the human body. As TPI developed, it became evident that we should pass on the information obtained from working with the game's best through education, and the TPI Certified Brand was born. The TPI-certified brand is the largest of its kind globally, and those accredited experts have helped hundreds of thousands of recreational golfers enjoy the game. Since the start of the educational seminars in 2006, over 27,000 TPI-certified experts are now in 65 countries worldwide. Dave appeared on the Golf Channel as co-host of the Golf Fitness Academy and Titleist Performance Institute Television shows, broadcast in 77 countries over an eight-year time frame. Dave has also written articles for Golf Magazine, Golf Digest, Sports Illustrated, Men's Health, and The Wall Street Journal; he is a sought-after public speaker who has lectured worldwide on sports performance and business.   David had a number of amazing insights during our conversation. Some of them include: “We dive a little deeper. We heavily look at the physical attributes of athletes first, because that kind of unlocks how they work” (8:00). “There's a lot of people trying to be the best golfer in the world, but they're trying to be somebody else because that's their idol. And that's not necessarily who they are” (8:15). “My expertise is taking what I get, and then figuring out that puzzle… You're trying to put the pieces back together so they can perform at their best” (8:30). “I see a lot of younger players struggle because they're trying to be someone that they're not” (8:35). “How can I do better with what I already have?” (11:30) “It doesn't matter what you look like. It matters can you perform” (13:20). “I like to see unusual golf swings, I like to see unusual looking athletes, because if they're competing at the same level as what people consider the model, then I'm way more interested in them than the normal” (13:35). “Great athletes are willing to do the things that others aren't willing to do” (14:30). “Curiosity is that natural instinct we have to want to learn and to want to get better at something that we're passionate about” (16:20). “What great athletes have in common is they have a love for the game that they're playing” (16:30). “That's the danger of being curious, you don't know how to assemble the pieces. And that's where great coaching comes in” (17:00). “I think there's a lot of us that are curious, but it does affect our ability to perform in competition” (17:15). “If we can learn how we are, how can we then take that into a coaching model” (18:15). “People think they're going to get worse before they get better if they take a golf lesson. What would I do if I had a son who wanted to play baseball. How would I go about it from a developmental and parent perspective. I played baseball as a kid and now have coached players from middle school to the MLB. I have seen what has worked and what hasn't. Below are a few of the topics that I will go over in the episode. Gymnastics at a young agePlay other sports if he wanted to, he's in the driver's seatGive him the option to do other things if he wants to. I want him to be curious. Identity isn't a baseball player. Separating baseball player vs person. Bad game? Having fun, being a good teammate, and playing hard would be the goal during games. I know if this is the goal, he will play better. Not focusing on his own stats. After and DURING the game. Remind him how much I love and believe in him. After a big strikeout, I'm looking for my Dad in the stands to see his reaction. Every son want's his Dad to be proud of him. At a young age, I would throw him CBs, a lot. Swing decisions often separate hitter's in baseball. Not talent. We would focus a ton of time on defense. Playing and learning multiple positions. Often forgotten and equally if not more important in some ways depending on the position. Getting a strong foundation before high school. (Learning how to hinge, squat, move properly). I know I would've been a much better player had I learned to move properly at a younger age.Strength, speed, and power. (Greg Rose. Under 22 is where we can develop speed. When they're growing fast, train fast. Bones are growing faster than muscles. When you think of mechanics you start to slow down. Develop ballistic speed. Recruiting process: What is the goal? Being honest. No showcases until he's ready. The focus is on development and having fun. If that's not until he's a junior then that's when we go. My guest on this episode of Nobody’s Safe w/Brady Laber is Kennedy Berkley. Kennedy was a three-sport athlete at Campbell County High School who went off to Murray State University as a track and field competitor and returned to the Lady Camels as the head volleyball coach winning back-to-back 10th Region championships. Kennedy’s first love of sports was actually gymnastics but eventually settled on volleyball, basketball and track and field. Her dad Nick and his two brothers were all quarterbacks at Bellevue High School and her mother Jennie was an athlete at Elida High School in Lima, Ohio. Kennedy went to Campbell County Middle School and at volleyball tryouts she meet Chandler Gray. Kennedy and Chandler hit it off immediately and are still best friends to this day. The two of them plus a large number of their classmates would team up be a successful generation of Lady Camel athletes. The late Greg Rose brought a group of these girls together coaching them as seventh graders on their team that was called Camels Select. Kennedy has found memories of Greg and his antics to get the girls ready for games. Kennedy’s high school volleyball career lasted five seasons where the battles between Campbell County and Newport Central Catholic became legendary. Her sophomore year brought back memories of the Lady Camels hosting the region tournament and losing in heart breaking fashion. The senior class was lead by two Division-I signees, Natalie Penrod (Tennessee Tech) and Jenna Cavanaugh (Youngstown State) plus a younger core that included Kennedy and Chandler. During her basketball career, Kennedy played for both Ed Cravens and Mike Murray. Unfortunately, six games into her senior year she suffered a torn ACL and was out for the remainder of the season. On senior day, Coach Murray came up with a plan to include an injured Kennedy to score a basket at the opening tip despite being injured. That team would go on to be runners-up in the 10th Region tournament falling to Montgomery County. The Lady Indians were a juggernaut in the middle of a nine-year consecutive run as region champs. Kennedy looks back fondly on the atmosphere during that championship game and how exciting it was inside the Campbell County Middle School gym. Track and field is actually where she had her most individual and team success. Her sophomore year the girls track and field team won the 2010 KHSAA 3A state championship. The Lady Camels won four region championships in her track career and she set school school records, one of which (triple jump) still stand to this day. Despite the knee injury as a senior, Murray State honors the scholarship offer and Kennedy is a four-year member of the Racers indoor and outdoor track and field program. After graduating from college, Kennedy returned home to Campbell County and accepted a teaching job within just a few days. She also was hired as the head volleyball coach as the tender age of 22. In 2018, the Lady Camels went on an incredible winning streak that resulted in the most successful season in program history. We first talk about hosting the 10th Region tournament and the unbelievable and unprecedented crowd support that helps carry the team to the title. That season concluded in the final four of the state tournament. After losing seven seniors from that team the Lady Camels repeated as region champs and another trip to the state tournament the next year. Kennedy is currently working on her masters degree and wants to pursue a career in education as a school psychology. The question has been ever present since I went through school in 2006-2009 - In what direction does the profession need to move?Over the last 10 years, I've seen a lot and I've learned a lot.  No matter how confident I am with my assessments and treatments, I can always do better.  I can always learn more.  And my outcomes can always improve.  I think the profession as a whole needs to operate from this mindset.  We can never stop learning, adapting, improving, and recycling the process.Aside from that, this podcast focuses the true giants in the conservative care space.  I highlight chiropractors such as Craig Liebenson and Greg Rose, but also Kelly Starrett and Gray Cook (physical therapists).  They have all collaborated to give us epic texts that guide us in terms of assessment and treatment.  So now we circle back to the question - where does the chiropractic profession need to go?Well, we obviously need to see more than 10% of the population if we want to see our communities beat the chronic disease monster.  But, a better question may be - how do we do that?I firmly believe that if the profession shows more solidarity in the following areas, we will see massive improvement over the next decade:Consistent physical capacity assessments (PCA) for acute care patients and patients starting care for chronic issuesPioneering research to broaden the PCA assessment to include more upper spine and extremity dataA flow towards Functional Movement Screens with sub-acute and progressing patients to reduce recurrence and maintain/develop capacitiesCap off treatment with a patient that can safely and confidently walk into CrossFit/Orange Theory/F45/HIIT/Functional TrainingIf we are the pioneers in not only improving patient outcomes, but fighting chronic disease, we will win in the court of public opinion and substantially increase the objective data that supports our profession as being the best place for pain patients to start. Here's to the next 10 years crew!!!Good Luck and #keepmovingDr.J

Mike Quintans (Q) brings in golf physical therapy specialist Brian Jerva with 15 years of experience to talk golf analytics and performance. Brian came to Physical Therapy and Wellness Institute in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania (PTW Newtown Square) because they were able to enthusiastically offer him the most innovative tech in the golf performance realm. 02:20 TPI - Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) analyzes golfers from all levels to collect valuable data to improve a golfer's body-swing connection. Brian is certified in Functional Movement Screening FMS as well as TPI to connect movement screenings and golf performance. 5:40 Brian brings in the golfer or rotational athlete to analyze the body-swing connection through a TPI screening. We'll look at the swing in 2D first through video analysis. We assess the upper body, lower body, wrist, balance, hips, everything to identify asymmetries. 7:00 Brian then uses SFMA to break it down even more to the mobility and stability components. This determines what the client or patient needs to address (the source of the problem) in order to give them a longer drive. 8:21 Brian then analyzes this data and works with the client through exercises and mobilization techniques to make their swing more efficient. 8:29 The K-Vest is the 3D analysis. Brian puts sensors on the body one on the upper back, lower back, arm, and wrist. Brian will then have you swing different clubs to look at the data to find kinematic sequencing (the order your body parts are moving when you're swinging a club) as well as patterns, swing speeds, and deficits. Justin Thomas' swing, for example, is perfect because he has efficient kinematic sequencing. 10:27 Bring in your golf team to do a full team analysis to see each of your strengths and weaknesses in your swings. Then, Brian will give you exercises and mobility techniques to improve your swing. Then your team can come back halfway through the season and at the end to see how you've improved. 11:30 Brian is not a golf coach. But he wants to talk to your golf coach in order to make your swing as efficient as possible. 13:13 If you're a physical therapist and want to get into it, talk to your manager to see if they'll support that. Go to TPI - Brian recommends it. Dr. Greg Rose and Dave Phillips are both founders. 14:30 If you want Brian to analyze your swing or help you get out of pain when golfing, call the clinic for your first 90-minute evaluation. What's great? Since Brian is also a physical therapist, so he can see the big picture of your health to find the source of your challenges, not just fixing the symptoms. 18:40 Not activating your glutes properly or glute inefficiencies can be a huge factor in your swing. Can you move your pelvis separate from your trunk? It's very important. 20:16 Contact Brian by calling the clinic at (610)723-7771 or reach out to him at brian.jerva@ivyrehab.com. On Episode 101 of The Tennis Files Podcast, I spoke with Dr. Greg Rose, the co-founder of The Titliest Performance Institute and founder of RacquetFit, about how we can reach peak athletic performance.    Greg specializes in assessing and treating athletes, 3-dimensional biomechanics, strength and conditioning, manual therapy, rehabilitation and therapeutic exercises. Throughout the past 23+ years, Greg has helped thousands of athletes of all skill levels greatly improve their flexibility, mobility, strength, speed, power, and athletic prowess.    Greg is a Board certified Doctor of Chiropractic and holds an engineering degree from the University of Maryland (go Maryland!). He has combined an engineering background with an expertise on the human body to help pioneer the field of analyzing 3-dimensional motion capture models of the golf swing. Then Greg brought what he learned over to the tennis world through RacquetFit. Pretty impressive stuff!    He has worked with countless amateurs and professional athletes in golf (ever heard of Rory McIlroy?), tennis, football, and many other sports and I am really grateful that Greg spent his time educating us about how we can improve our tennis games by becoming better athletes on the podcast.    On this episode, you'll learn the difference between flexibility and mobility, why it is crucial to understand your body's physical abilities and limitations when working on your strokes, advice on creating the right fitness routine for you, and much more!    I hope you enjoy this podcast interview episode with Greg! On Episode 97 of The Tennis Files Podcast, I discuss why it is so critical to understand our body's physical limitations and talk about some really helpful principles that I learned at a RacquetFit seminar that I attended recently.     Many players think they can just copy the exact strokes of the pros and hit shots like Federer, but unfortunately it isn't that simple....    We have to know our body's capabilities to achieve our true tennis potential, and this is what RacquetFit is all about. My mind was blown by what I learned at the RacquetFit seminar, and to say that I really enjoyed both learning about the body-tennis connection, taking a deep dive into the serve and meeting so many fantastic people at the event would be an understatement.    Several of the best tennis coaches and experts on the planet and podcast/summit guests such as Jeff Salzenstein, Dr. Sean Drake, Dr. Greg Rose, and Dr. Mark Kovacs are teaching the world about RacquetFit and bringing advancements from other sports to our game.     On this episode, I'll give you the inside scoop on the most important principles I learned at the RacquetFit seminar and why RacquetFit is going to change the way we coach and learn the game.    I hope you enjoy this podcast episode! This episode is brought to you by baseballcloud. iTunes  Stitcher   Google Play   Spotify   Summary: In this episode of Ahead of the Curve, I welcome Dr. Greg Rose of OnBaseU and the Titleist Performance Institute. We discuss the OnBaseU philosophy and program for improving the efficiency of baseball swinging and pitching, along with various data-based methods for improving baseball practice regimens. We also discuss the way data is becoming increasingly important baseball as it did in golf, and the possible reasons for the different approaches to data in these sports. Show Notes: Guest: Dr. Greg Rose, of the Titleist Performance Institute   Analyzes swing movement in golf and now baseball for motor problems   TPI Philosophy Not one way to pitch or hit A more efficient way for everyone though to pitch or hit, based on what they can physically do Technical problem or physical problem? Mimicking others isn’t necessarily the way to improve your swing   TPI uses 3D motion capture to determine efficiency   Video can have some uses How to draw information from the video; what is a sway? How to do a screening for physical vs technical problems?   13 characteristics to correct in young players Most common problem: “no spacing” Disassociation between lower body and upper body Shoulder issues, laying the arm back   Difference between golf and baseball: not a common language Creating a common language in baseball so medical, fitness, and coach can communicate better   Workshops work with online classes and 2 day live sessions   Developing coaching curriculums for non-professional leagues   What are the necessities for developing baseball competence and how is a year over year curriculum for baseball developed Number one reason for quitting baseball: can’t catch! So it’s important to learn catching early Easier to develop athletic skills younger, technical skills older   Muscles are more tense for young; easier to develop speed   Strength training much easier during and after puberty, because of testosterone   “For every decade you’re alive, that’s the percent of your program that should be based on mobility”   With adults mobility based training, kids speed, power, generally   Swing isolation exercises can be strange at first, but start to work over time   Group dynamics when everyone has their own individual problem? TPI testing always as a group Often groups within group have similar problems Individualized stations mixed with group in TPI program   One-on-one not necessarily better than group, but still necessary to attack individual problems   Swing look doesn’t matter; efficiency is what’s important   The Kinematic Sequence Graph Energy moves from the ground to the bat to the ball, ideally Something that’s taken over the golf teaching world is now bleeding into the baseball world   The measurement of data in baseball vs others   Formula 1 and Golf as manufacturer’s and individual’s sports with stronger technology, vs baseball, basketball, football as owner’s sports   Offering data makes players more comfortable and able to measure change over time   Teaching truth vs tradition in baseball Teaching what worked for us vs teaching what works for players Coaches who studied how to coach vs coaches who studied how to play   Blocked vs Random practices Both show gains Random practice more effective for learning   Where does Dr. Rose hope to see baseball in ten years? 3 Key Points:     Data-based approaches in baseball can offer important efficiencies that can improve swinging and pitching.  OnBaseU has found that one of its important tasks in baseball is to create a common language of technique for the entire support staff and team to speak in common.   The difference in data usage in sports like golf versus those like baseball might be due to the importance of manufacturers in the former versus the importance of owners in the latter. Tweetable Quotes: -     “One-on-one is not better than group; most kids, most adults prefer working out in group.” (35:30) - Dr. Rose   -      “Our philosophy is there’s not one way to hit or one way to pitch, but there’s one efficient      way for everyone to hit or pitch.” - Dr. Rose (36:05) -     “There are two types of coaches; coaches who have studied how to coach, and coaches who studied how to play.” - Dr. Rose (42:40) -     “Some of the best coaches in the world never played professionally.” - Dr. Rose (44:05) -      “The research is extremely clear that block practice allows somebody to perform better in       practice but it doesn’t make them learn like random practice does” - Dr. Rose (46:00) -      “I believe a baseball player is like a Formula 1 car.” - Dr. Rose (49:30) Resources Mentioned: www.OnBaseU.com http://www.mytpi.com/  Website and Social Media sites for the show  www.aotcpodcast.com Twitter @aotc_podcast Facebook Ahead of the Curve Coaches Facebook group Instagram aotc_podcast

In this podcast we're taking a deep dive into the success of TPI and it's impact on the fitness industry as a whole. If you are a fitness pro or operator that has been curious about using technology, apps, and movement screens to deliver better results to your clients and revenue to the club, you're going to enjoy this thought-provoking show.  Through the past 17 years, Greg has helped thousands of golfers of all skill levels reach peak athletic performance. His cutting edge yet research-based form of functional training combined with golf-specific motor learning drills have made Greg one of golf’s top strength and conditioning professionals.   Greg has also been an integral component in the creation of the "Jugamos Todos" program developed by TPI Sports, working in conjunction with the Mexican Ministries of Health and Education, along with the support of the Mexican Football Federation by launching this Physical Education Program deployed across the country's elementary schools to create a sports movement based program, as one of the foundations for thier official FEMEXFUT app-based Youth Pathway. What new technology can fitness pros and operators begin to harness that support low-cost movement screening, help fight childhood obesity, and deliver more ROI to clubs?  The answer to that question and much more takeaways for club owners, operators, and fitness pros in this episode with Dr. Greg Rose. About Dr. Greg Rose  Greg is a board certified Doctor of Chiropractic and holds an engineering degree from the University of Maryland.  Greg specializes in assessing and treating golfers, 3-dimensional biomechanics, strength and conditioning, manual therapy, rehabilitation, nutritional supplementation and therapeutic exercises. Combining an engineering background with an expertise on the human body, Greg helped pioneer the field of analyzing 3-dimensional motion capture models of the golf swing. That research has helped golf professionals all over the world gain a better understanding of how the body works during the golf swing.  Through the past 17 years, Greg has helped thousands of golfers of all skill levels reach peak athletic performance. His cutting edge yet research-based form of functional training combined with golf-specific motor learning drills have made Greg one of golf’s top strength and conditioning professionals.   Greg also helped develop the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), a revolutionary movement assessment that helps identify altered motor control and guides medical practitioners on how to treat patients more efficiently. Listen To Episode 055 As Greg Uncovers How an early engineering job working on a golf course led him to be one of the first (if not the 1st) specicliazed golf chiropractors in the United States  What impact Titleist Performance Institute is creating in the fitness, golf, and technology worlds  How Greg became an early pioneer in 3D Motion Capture technology Understanding the major comments and types of 3D Motion Capture:  Video Infrared Electromagnetic  Inertial sensors  The power of performing a physical screening under 3D motion capture for athletes and fitness clients  Why the use of force and pressure tools in motion capture is so beneficial to the coach  Why Greg believes that nutrition is more powerful than working out Understanding the layers of longterm behavior change: the "elephant" in the room How sugar is as addicting to the brain as heroin for both adults and children  Why TPI will be creating a Health & Fitness Certification for the USPTA in 2018 How TPI is creating positive health impact in Mexico to combat child obesity Greg's 3 pillars of success in the fitness industry: Be the best at what you do Get results Create your community Why Greg has learned that when it comes to clients having longterm success, look at movement patterns first  Uncovering the 1-1 vs. group training paradigm: Why people work harder in groups and stay longer  Actionable takeaways for facilities looking to begin implementing new technologies for fitness staff 2018 trends and developments around the industry and globally  Top 3 Takeaways From The Show When we understand the next level of results-driven fitness technology, diagnostics are everything. Greg shared in our podcast that screening with the right technology first and programming second will create optimal results and the help to support the best movement patterns. There any many technology apps, devices, and ways to screen an athlete in both golf and general fitness out there, and exercise prescription and periodization should only come after effectively screening the athlete or the client. Greg believes that over the next several years we will see a unique way to tailor exercise programs to the client through a kiosk that screens for movement in our big box clubs. With the exponential growth of fitness technology, the screening capability and quality assessment tools will become even less expensive and ubiquitous in the industry which will lead to an increase in personal training packages and member engagement. With youth obesity of an all time high, Greg sees technology as one of the causes of the problem and also simultaneously the solution. The specialized app created to help Mexico youth is just a first step on the path to using technology as a powerful tool to move the needle back to health. We are becoming more clear everyday about the fact that in the age of a technology revolution, its really hard to get kids to move, so if we want to win the battle against childhood obesity, we must use smart technology to do so. Power Quotes From Dr. Greg Rose  "You must realize that when it comes to behavior change pshycology and losing weight, there are two parts of you: the rational and the emotional. Your logical brain understands that you need to lose weight, but your emotional being must also be convinced."  - Dr. Greg Rose on the Fitness + Technology Podcast "I think that most wearables are stuck in logic."  - Dr. Greg Rose on the Fitness + Technology Podcast "In the age of technology revolution, its really hard to get kids to move, so if we want to win the battle against childhood obesity, we must use smart technology to do so."  - Dr. Greg Rose on the Fitness + Technology Podcast Resources Mentioned From Dr. Greg TPI on facebook TPI on Twitter TPI on Instagram TPI on YouTube TPI on the web Dr. Greg Rose - My TPI Dr. Greg Rose on LinkedIn 3D Motion Capture Methods   FTP #049 Michael Wood: Fitness Devices, Data, & Ecosystems NASM BCS Course Gamification Pokemon GO HRV: The Mother of All Biomarkers MIT Sports Conference eSports Mexican Football Federation Youth Pathway App FMS: Functional Movement Systems FIFA Malaria Campaign Mexico Youth Soccer Thanks To Our Outstanding Sponsors Bryan O’Rourke and his family of companies including Vedere Ventures, Integerus Advisors, and many more. You asked for it and you got it! This is a special episode for me as Dr. Rose has been a huge influence on my career. I remember the first time I saw the Golf Fitness Academy on the Golf Channel and I said to myself "I would love to be on that show". Then I attended the TPI Level 1 seminar when it came through Vancouver and I said “Id love to be on that stage one day!” Both these visions came true. #DreamBig and #Overdeliver my good friends. That is exactly what Dr. Rose did and continues to do in his business and career. A true leader and pioneer . We discuss all of this and more in this episode of the #CoachGlassPodcast. Enjoy it!  Greg is a board certified Doctor of Chiropractic and holds an engineering degree from the University of Maryland. Greg frequently appears on the Golf Channel as part of the Titleist Performance Institute weekly show.  The TPI certification seminar series has made Greg one of the most requested speakers in golf health and fitness. He has lectured in over 21 countries and has been featured in many golf and news publications.  @performbetter @mytpi #CoachGlassNextLevel #DreamBig #OverDeliver #BeUndeniable Coach Glass

Morgan was born in Jamaica, and migrated to Brooklyn, New York .. He was immediately seduced by the weekly live concerts at the Apollo Theatre in the 60s where he could see musical giants like James Brown, Wilson Pickett, O'Jays, Al Green and The Temptations. Denroy enrolled  at the New York School of Music.  There he briefly studied guitar and piano, and it wasn't long before he started two bands in New York, Mad Creators, and later, Black Eagles. The latter enjoyed the distinction of becoming the first roots & culture reggae band in New York City.  A chance meeting with Denroy and Bert Reid, the saxophonist from the then flashy and popular Crown Heights Affair band led to a label deal and a chart topper with the radio anthems I'll Do Anything and Sweet Tender Love in the early 1980s. Suddenly he found himself performing in unlikely venues like New York's shrine to club music, the Paradise Garage, and he was instantly on tour with unlikely artists such as Frankie Beverly & Maze, Slave, Evelyn  King and Archie Bell and the Dells. Morgan become the first reggae artist to be signed by the major label RCA Records. Perfect (born Greg Rose, Jamaica) is a reggae singer The third child in a family of four children, Rose grew up in Bamboo, in the parish of St. Ann. Perfect cut his first tune as Little Ninja, before settling on his current stage name.He began deejaying in the sound system Trend Setter from Bamboo where he grown and recorded his first dubplates. In the late 1990s he often had to go to Kingston to make his name and record. The first song that really began making his name was "Lock Me Up" in 2004 for Courntey MacIntosh from Irie FM but he was really revealed with "Handcart Bwoy" in 2005. He released his first album, Giddimani, the next year. The Austrian record label Irie vibrations released his second album, Born Dead with Life, in 2008.
