So what's in a name. When it comes to the papacy, almost everything. The name a new pope chooses can reveal a lot about his thinking and plans for the Catholic church.DAN HITCHENS recognised the significance of the name as soon as he heard it announced from the balcony of St Peter's Basilica.A Pope Leo XIV will be inaugurated this weekend with a special Mass, but he's already noticed a huge in-tray on his desk at the Vatican. What will he prioritise? Dr MILES PATTENDEN has some ideas. In a new book, Voice For The Voiceless, the Dalai Lama reveals that his reincarnated successor could be born in what he calls “the free world”.It would break with centuries of tradition – and raise the stakes in the dispute with China over control of the Himalayan region that the Dalai Lama fled in 1959.It also raises the intriguing prospect of the next Dalai Lama being found in Australia.GUESTS:Dr MILES PATTENDEN is a papal historian and commentator at Oxford University. DAN HITCHENS is a senior editor at First Things and a columnist at Compact magazines.DR ZOE BEDFORD is the Executive officer from The Australia Tibet Council.

What would happen if you drank lemon water for 30 days? In this video, we'll look at the benefits of drinking lemon water daily and how a glass of lemon water in the morning can improve your health and vitality. 0:00 Introduction: What happens when you drink lemon water? 0:12 Lemon water in the morning 2:37 Lemon water benefits2:47 Lemon water skin benefits3:57 Lemon water and digestion4:19 Lemon water for the immune system4:48 Lemon juice and your teeth5:18 Benefits of lemon peelWith so much focus on high blood pressure, it's essential not to overlook low blood pressure, which is often due to low blood volume. When you wake up in the morning, your blood volume is lowest. Low blood volume can cause dizziness when standing, poor exercise performance, and a decreased sense of well-being. Plain water in the morning can dehydrate you by diluting essential electrolytes, especially sodium, which is vital for healthy blood volume.Cortisol is highest at 8:00 a.m., and sodium is excellent for lowering cortisol, so salt is a great tool for a stress-free day. Himalayan sea salt is a great option, or try Baja Gold salt if you're prone to high blood pressure. Fresh lemon juice is an excellent source of vitamin C, which is beneficial for the skin and is a potent antioxidant that supports the inside of the arteries. Opt for organic lemons or organic lemon juice. Lemon juice contains citric acid, which helps reduce the risk of kidney stones. Other benefits of lemon water include the following:•Reduces the incidence of gout•Helps phase 1 and phase 2 detoxification in the liver •Helps thin bile and reduce the incidence of gallstones •Supports digestion •Helps regulate cholesterol •Protects the insides of the arteries •Increases microbiome diversity•Potent antimicrobial properties•Increases absorption of non-heme ironIf you drink lemon water daily, it's best to drink it with a straw to protect your tooth enamel. For added bioflavonoids, try blending an entire lemon with a glass of water and a pinch of salt!If salty lemon water is too tart for you, try adding a couple of drops of liquid stevia. For added benefits, you can also add one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to the mixture.Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio:Dr. Berg, age 60, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. This week, we're honored to welcome Olga Bak, friend and advisor to Travel Nepal Himalaya's Treks, the local guide company that helped our group navigate the challenging journey to Mount Everest base camp. Developing an early connection with Nepal during her first trek in 2013, Olga's spontaneous "yes" to adventure evolved into something deeper—a calling to build bridges between travelers and this extraordinary Himalayan nation.Olga takes us on a journey through her transformation from first-time trekker to passionate advocate for Nepal. She describes that pivotal moment when she climbed a 4,000-meter peak at 3 AM to witness the sunrise, feeling surrounded by stars so close "it really did feel like we could just reach and grab them like apples from trees." That initial experience sparked what would become a lifelong mission to help others understand Nepal not just as a destination for mountain views, but as a place of profound spiritual and personal transformation. In this episode, we explore the meaning behind "Nepal: Never Ending Peace And Love," the unique character of the Himalayan landscape, and how Olga's relationship with guide Badri has created opportunities to support local communities. Join us for a deep and moving conversation about finding purpose through saying yes to adventure, embracing discomfort as a path to growth, and what it truly means to experience the transformative power of the mountains.

Tomorrow's Scorpio Full Moon gives us a big push forward. Peak fullness happens at 9:56 AM PT / 12:56 PM ET on Monday, but the moon's energy is at its strongest on Sunday night. This “Flower Moon” will appear slightly smaller than usual—it's a micromoon, meaning the Moon is at one of its farthest points from Earth in its orbit. Full Moons naturally bring things to light, and in intense Scorpio, that spotlight focuses on transformation. Use this potent energy to clear out what's holding you back. Try writing down old patterns, relationships, or scarcity thinking you're ready to shed—and burn the paper to send that energy back to the ethers. Or lean into Scorpio's water element with a Salt Bath: soak in Epsom, sea, or Himalayan salt and imagine it pulling out stuck energy, then watch it swirl away as you drain the tub. Adding to the mix is Uranus in Taurus, the planet of sudden change and upheaval, sitting opposite this Full Moon. Expect unexpected twists—big wins or impulsive decisions, emotional flare-ups or breakthroughs. The lesson? Let go of the illusion of control, trust the unfolding mystery, and practice rolling with whatever comes your way. On top of that, we have a rare Boomerang Yod—Jupiter in Gemini and Chiron in Aries both quincunx to the Moon, with the Sun/Uranus opposition acting as a release valve. This “Finger of God” points us toward a karmic crossroads where fated opportunities and radical clarity emerge. Plus, the Sun-Uranus conjunction in Taurus (the last one for 80 years!) amplifies our urge to break routines and try something new. This week, embrace the changes: experiment, explore, and be the new you. Learn more and purchase the Summer Pass at https://www.abundology.com/summer-pass

It is supposed to be naturally lower in sodium and have a high concentration of minerals and trace elements. In their third party testing Baja Gold tests below CODEX and Prop 65 requirements. 2) Himalayan or Real Salt (Utah) don't have iodine, how do you supplement? My kids are 11, 9 and 6. I'm wondering what advice you can give parents on using detoxes for children. For example when my littlest was 4 she had some symptoms that could fall under parasites. Are there product lines you would recommend that would be gentle enough for kids? I'm assuming the products you sell are more for adults. I listened to another show where you mentioned lipedema, & I thought you said you have been able to help people reverse it. All of my research says it's incurable, but can manage it and calm swelling and pain, but the nodular fat will not go away without lipo. My questions are: are you familiar with any other scenario where texture I feel on myself as I described is normal? Or is that pebbly feeling always lipedema? Have you actually seen people get rid of the nodular lipedema fat & heal completely? Or just reduce swelling, pain & normal fat?Diet advice for this condition? Firefighters are making steady progress fighting a pair of wildfires in Cumberland County... despite gusty winds over the weekend. The fires cover more than 27-hundred acres in Michaux State Forest, between 30-50 miles from Harrisburg. At least 12 Bhutanese refugees and former Pennsylvania residents are now stateless people in India and Nepal after U-S deportations. WITF’s Jordan Wilkie reports the men were sent to Bhutan, despite the fact that they are not considered citizens of the Himalayan nation. Meantime, a suburban Philadelphia sheriff's office is teaming up with US Immigration Customs and Enforcement. Emily Neil from our friends at WHYY reports, if the agreement goes into effect, ICE will provide training to Bucks County sheriff’s office deputies to assist with and carry out arrests for immigration violations and more. It was exactly a week ago... last Monday... when we received the news that Pope Francis had died at the age of 88. The leader of the Harrisburg Catholic diocese attended Saturday’s funeral services for Pope Francis. WITF’s Rachel McDevitt reports the bishop is reflecting on the legacy of the late pontiff. Following Pope Francis’s death, a mural in Philadelphia commemorating his visit to the city of brotherly love nearly a decade ago has become a memorial site. Cory Sharber from our friends at WHYY has more. And the Philadelphia Eagles will visit the White House today. Bernie Sanders is coming to Central Pennsylvania this week as part of his "Fighting Oligarchy" tour. Tesla CEO Elon Musk told investors on Tuesday that the time he is spending with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) will “drop significantly” as he moves to spend more time on his auto company. The remarks came as Tesla announced on April 22 that both revenue and profits fell significantly in the first quarter of 2025, with the company struggling to deal with competitive pressure and negative political sentiment against Musk.Fire officials said Wednesday that the wildfire in southern New Jersey has been contained. Since Tuesday, the blaze has burned more than 11,500 acres and caused the evacuation of more than 3,000 people. At least 26 people were killed and 17 others wounded after assailants opened fire on a group of tourists in Indian-controlled Kashmir, the worst assault targeting civilians in years. Tuesday's attack took place in the picturesque town of Pahalgam in the Himalayan mountains, a popular vacation place for Indian visitors. Police accused rebels of masterminding the attack, which sparked outrage and drew international condemnation, including from U.S. President Donald Trump.

A former Gurkha, elite SAS soldier, and now the guide behind Nepal's Warrior Monk Retreat, Krish offers a rare window into what it truly means to awaken the inner warrior — the part of ourselves that rises when everything else collapses. Krish shares his story of struggle, discipline, and purpose. He reflects on summiting Mount Everest for the first time, not for glory, but to honour the legacy of the Gurkhas and leave something behind for his daughter and those who come after. He speaks deeply about the courage it takes to accept death, the humility of climbing, and how purpose must be bigger than ego. This conversation weaves between the physical and the spiritual, exploring ancient Himalayan rituals around the five elements, the emotional power of walking barefoot on sacred ground, and how true transformation begins by mastering not just the body or mind, but the energy that flows through all living things. Krish's message is clear — we all carry a warrior within us, but most of us have forgotten how to find it. If you've ever felt disconnected, without purpose, or like something deeper is calling, this episode will meet you right where you are. Send Me A Message!! Journey through the 35-year evolution of the O'Mahony Garden, a stunning landscape on the Cork-Limerick border that transforms an ordinary plot into five distinctive garden spaces, each with its own personality and purpose.Siobhan O'Mahony shares her gardening journey that began with essential shelter planting and gradually expanded into a thoughtfully designed landscape. The original garden focuses on low-maintenance shrubs and trees punctuated with seasonal bulbs, while the aptly named "kitchen garden" outside their kitchen door bursts with vibrant hot colours year-round. Perhaps most remarkable is the transformation of their sons' football pitch into borders with distinct colour themes – cool calming blues and pinks in one area contrasting with rich wine and magenta tones in another. The garden continues to evolve with newer areas including a practical raised bed vegetable garden featuring container-grown raspberries and a young woodland planted with 28 Himalayan birches (Betula jacquemontii) underplanted with specialist snowdrops and spring flowering bulbs. Adjacent to this, an annual wildflower meadow delivers spectacular summer colour without demanding maintenance.Siobhan's practical wisdom resonates throughout the conversation – from her colour-themed planting approaches to her strategic use of containers to maintain continuous displays near the house. Her advice for new gardeners is refreshingly realistic: focus on trees and shrubs for structure and lower maintenance, then concentrate colourful, higher-maintenance planting in smaller areas where it can be enjoyed daily. The garden welcomes visitors three times annually and hosts workshops on container gardening, vegetable growing and flower arranging. Whether you're starting your own garden journey or looking for inspiration to refine an existing space, this episode offers practical strategies for creating beautiful, manageable gardens that bring joy throughout the seasons.Visit O Mahony Garden information here:https://www.omahonygarden.comSupport the showIf there is any topic you would like covered in future episodes, please let me know. While we worry about pesticides, colorants, preservatives, and other harmful chemicals in our food, antibiotics and vaccines in meats, very few people are aware of the health-deteriorating effects of microplastics in table salt. As a result of decades of trash dumping in our oceans, plastic bottles, bags, and other manufactures shred into very tiny fragments that we end up ingesting with the salt. They are a well-known factor in sterility and many other disorders/illnesses in our physiology. An alternative to marine salt, the Himalayan salt, also referred to as pink salt, has always been considered a better substitute. Even in the ancient times of the rishis, when ocean pollution did not exist, this salt variety was regarded as superior and recommended in the Sanskrit texts. In this brief but revealing episode, Vaidya Mishra explains all about Himalayan salt, from sourcing to purification and laboratory tests involved in the produccion of Soma Salt.

Cecilie has cemented her place in the world of extreme adventure sports as being the first person in the world to have skied across both the North and the South Poles and to have climbed all of The Seven Summits. She also completed the first unassisted and unsupported trek across the continent of Antarctica and has made several treks across Greenland. Cecilie was also among the 31 climbers who were on K2 on its deadliest day in August 2008.
