About Saril Vasquez: Saril Vasquez is a triple-certified functional practitioner who has the honor of helping women uncover their TRUE root causes of hair loss while REVERSING IT naturally. After a 10-year career in specialty pharmacies and a decade of hair loss, she was given no hope for her prognosis. Turning to Godly guidance and ancient remedies for a real solution, the impossible became possible. Trained and coached by some of the most successful individuals in functional medicine, Saril's students “rewind the aging clock,” finally feeling confident about themselves again! Using nutrition, daily practices and personalized supplement protocols, they gain control and clarity about which daily choices and exposures turn on or turn off their aging hair, regardless of their diagnosis. Her messaging is - it is NOT just genetics, it is not just hormones, and we have more control than we think over our symptoms. Our toxicant exposures, nutrition habits, and body functions control how we age! As the CEO of Belle Organix LLC, Saril has helped countless individuals have a deeper understanding of how the body is supposed to work, where it all goes wrong, HOW TO FIX IT & how their seemingly random symptoms are crucially overlooked clues. Her vision is a world where hopeless hair loss is a thing of the past, replacing stigma and shame with empowerment. Her flagship course & coaching program, Bellechanics, encourages others to master their body mechanics to reveal their inner Belle, while embodying a new truth that will set them free : hair loss is reversible! What We Discuss In This Episode: Saril shares her personal hair loss journey and how, after spending $75,000+ over 10 years trying various treatments before finding natural solutions, she finally found what she was looking for and now helps others reverse hair loss through nutrition, detox, and lifestyle changes Root Causes of Hair Loss Hormone imbalances (e.g. estrogen dominance) Toxin overload from environment, diet, dental work, etc. Nutrient deficiencies and poor gut health Chronic inflammation Stress and nervous system dysfunction Holistic Approach to Hair Regrowth Focus on identifying personal triggers and root causes Improve detoxification pathways in the body Optimize nutrition and gut health Balance hormones naturally Reduce inflammation and oxidative stress Increase blood flow and nutrient delivery to scalp Debunking Hair Loss Myths Hair can potentially regrow even in areas of apparent scarring Topical treatments alone are not a long-term solution Normal lab results don't necessarily mean everything is fine Symptoms are often a better indicator of health than lab work Key Takeaways: 1. Hair loss is not just genetic or hormonal - lifestyle factors play a major role 2. Root causes often include toxin exposure, nutrient deficiencies, and hormone imbalances 3. Topical treatments like shampoos provide limited benefits compared to addressing underlying issues 4. Hair follicles can potentially regrow even in areas of apparent scarring/baldness R Resources from Saril Vasquez: Free Symptom Tracker on Website– discount code CONSULT: https://www.bellechanics.com/quiz Connect With Saril Vasquez: Website: https://www.bellechanics.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/bellechanics YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@bellechanics Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sarilv Connect with Lynne: If you're looking for a community of like-minded women on a journey - just like you are - to improved health and wellness, overall balance, and increased confidence, check out Lynne's private community in The Energized Healthy Women's Club. Hosted by the ELN's Policy and Impact Director, Jane Kinninmont, and Project and Communications Coordinator, Edan Simpson, this episode takes a step back to assess what we've learned about existential and global catastrophic risks in previous episodes and what comes next.In “What's the Problem?”, Jane and Edan wrap up the series by reflecting on key themes, including the importance of long-term planning and collaboration across different sectors and countries. We then turn to Edan's “How To Fix It” panel, featuring Sophie Howe, the former Future Generations Commissioner for Wales, dubbed by the UK's Guardian newspaper as “the world's first minister for the unborn” Sophie served as the Welsh Government's first-ever Future Generations Commissioner. Her role gave her a statutory obligation to serve as “the guardian of the interests of future generations in Wales” and to provide guidance and advice to the government and public bodies in Wales when making decisions to ensure that they think about the effects on people in the future as well as now.We are also joined by NEVER member Florian Ulrich Jehn. Frank explains how, in the 1960s, the world was deeply pessimistic about the ability to prevent the spread of nuclear weapons. Yet, against the odds, the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) was established, a major success in reducing the global nuclear threat. This historical perspective offers a lesson in how bold, coordinated action can lead to breakthroughs, even in times of intense geopolitical tension. Frank also discusses parallels between the Cold War nuclear crisis and today's challenges, such as AI and climate change, emphasising the importance of international cooperation. In The Debrief, Jane and Edan reflect on the key takeaways from the series, emphasising the power of collective action and long-term thinking. They touch on the optimism shared by panellists like Sophie Howe, who called for "making long-term governance sexy," and how common sense should be at the heart of addressing global risks. They also revisit the importance of democratic engagement, ensuring that the public is part of the conversation on existential risks. How can you dream well if you’re not sleeping well? Our guest in this popular replay is neurologist, sleep specialist, and podcaster Dr. Chris Winter. Chris starts out talking about how he has always enjoyed sleeping and how that ultimately led him to a career as a sleep specialist. We sleep a third of our life and sleep affects all aspects of our waking life. We talk about “eight hours a night, every night”. Is that a myth or do sleep needs really fall on more of a bell curve? You might think you need less sleep than that, but is it really enough or are you just getting by? How do you feel during the day? Also falling asleep too quickly is a clue to being sleep deprived. We take a call from Susan from Novato who talks about enjoying waking up early, even sometimes as early as 3:30am. Dr. Winter talks about chronotypes and how they vary from person to person and with age. He speaks about dreaming as a marker for getting good sleep and that dreams can be a kind of sandbox for the mind. BIO: Dr. Christopher Winter is a neurologist and sleep specialist. Why Teams Are Mismanaged & How To Fix It! Explaining The Hierarchy Of Team Needs Hierarchy of Team Needs Paperback – February 7, 2024 by Scott Albrecht (Author), Dr. Elliott Jardin (Author) Scott Albrecht Dr Elliott Jardin Without pressure and deadlines, procrastination sets in. This short book packs decades of Scott's leadership and team-building experience with the science of motivation. It provides actionable steps to help build a cohesive team and includes research-backed guidelines to promote employee autonomy and growth. Like Patrick Lencioni's Five Dysfunctions of a Team and Maslow's Hierarchy of a Team, the author Scott Albrecht takes us on a linear, didactic movement up the hierarchy of a team covering one rung at a time as he leans on his experience as a Vice President for ServiStar Consulting. Dr. Elliott Jardin adds how motivation and autonomy have a place when applying pressure or stress to produce a better outcome for team development. Scott Albrecht, a speaker and thought leader, and Dr. Jardin, a cognitive neuroscientist at Miami University reconceptualize stress and its role of applied pressure in the workplace. They also give team leaders a clear look at a five-step process that when implemented moves people to perform at their best. Title: The Hierarchy of Team Needs a 54-minute read, this serves as more of a pamphlet or playbook for leaders on the go who want to use an hour to increase productivity through learning from industry leaders like Scott Albrecht and researchers like Elliott Jardin. Call it Street Smarts meets Science, this duo brings a five-step system that is easy to implement on any kind of team. How to leverage honesty to build accountability and high standards to achieve the team's mission. How to create an environment of continuous improvement through honest feedback. How to build trust in a team and create a safe place in stage one of the hierarchy. How to reframe stress to persevere through adversity mindfully. How to build a team to peak performance using applied pressure. Learning Outcomes: Building Trust Constructive Feedback Resiliency Mindset Team Building Dr. Elliott Jardin sees stress as necessary to create intrinsic or extrinsic motivation and describes stress as a physiological and or psychological reaction that kicks the body into overdrive to prepare for an upcoming or ongoing event. When Gallup analyzed the differences in performance between engaged and actively disengaged business/work units, those scoring in the top quartile on employee engagement significantly outperformed those in the bottom quartile on these crucial performance outcomes: 17% higher productivity, 20% higher sales, 21% higher profitability. Author Scott Albrecht, a Clifton Strengths coach, has witnessed more engaged teams firsthand in organizations employing this hierarchy model. Gallup uses the term engagement. Professor and co-author Elliott Jardin prefers the term motivation. His background in neuroscience and its application in learning and development is a critical piece to this model. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/petervonpanda/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/petervonpanda/support

Here at MinistryWatch we write from time to time about sexual sin, scandal, and brokenness. It has been my experience that many of these stories have pornography as one component of the story. It is also apparent that pornography has become something of a secret sin among church and ministry leaders. Some surveys have found that as many as 50 percent of church leaders have some involvement with pornography. Other studies say that a child's first involvement with pornography can start as early as age 9. Because these facts are, unfortunately, a part of the current cultural moment, I've read a good bit about the topic, but I've not read anything as wise and helpful as Sam Black's “The Healing Church: What Churches Get Wrong About Pornography, and How To Fix It.” Sam Black believes that churches should places of healing, and he offers both theological and practical advice for church leaders, ministry leaders, those struggling to stop using porn, and those who want to fortify themselves so they never start. Sam Black is the director of recovery education for Covenant Eyes, a software program that provides help and accountability for those who want to avoid online pornography. Prior to joining Covenent Eyes in 2007, he made his living as a journalist. FINAL THOUGHTS: A couple of quick thoughts before we go. First, if you found value in today's program, please share it with a friend. Secondly, just a quick reminder that MinistryWatch is a donor supported ministry. We take no money from the ministries we cover, we don't put ads on our site, and we don't have one of those annoying paywalls. If you would like to support us in our work, just go to MinistryWatch.com and hit the donate button at the top of the page. Thanks to Rich Roszel and Jeff McIntosh for producing today's program. We get technical, database, and editorial support from Christina Darnell, Kim Roberts, Casey Sudduth, and Stephen DuBarry.

The Numinous Podcast with Carmen Spagnola: Intuition, Spirituality and the Mystery of Life
Let's talk about fascism today, friends. Why is it important? Because in collapse, authoritarianism always increases. Of course we don't like strong man dictators, military coups, or religious fundamentalism – we hate all the different forms authoritarianism takes. But the especially chilling thing about fascism is that doesn't just happen in the political sphere; it happens at the dinner table. Average people live under authoritarianism, often for generations, without it altering their daily reality much at all. The power struggles of dictators and regime changes might hardly make a difference. But fascism uses the populace and populist movements as part of its social control. Fascism goes deeper and far beyond fear and military might to secure its stranglehold. This episode is an excerpt from my online course, Collapse 101, which is accessed as part of my monthly membership subscription program, The Numinous Network. We have a Collapse 101 class lecture, followed by an AMA a week later, almost every month. In this session, I'm sharing about the hallmarks of fascism so we can be alert to some of the sneaky ways it wends itself into our lives. Two-thirds of men and a third of women who attend church regularly say they struggle with pornography. Covenant Eyes Sam Black teaches that the answer lies in the church providing safe spaces to apply processes that restore those trapped in compulsive behaviors with pornography, through his book The Healing Church: What the Church Gets Wrong about Pornography and How To Fix It. Does Satan exist? Scripture says yes and his purpose is to destroy the work of God. Bible teacher and author Greg Bourgond joins Bill for a informative discussion on the enemy of man and how we can avoid his lies. Faith Radio podcasts are made possible by your support. 70% of men and a third of women say they are currently struggling with unwanted sexual behavior. According to the Matrimonial Lawyers Association, in 56% of divorce cases a major contributing factor is one spouse's obsessive use of pornography. Even more sobering, the average age of first exposure to hard core pornography for a child is 11-12 years old, which means on average a child has been exposed to pornography before they've even reached junior high school. The sad reality is that pornography is pervasive in our world and highly addictive. It is a multi-billion dollar industry that preys on women, trafficks them, and abuses them. Even worse, nobody is having the conversation about the dangers of porn; either because they don't know of them or they don't care. Yet, the problem of unwanted sexual behavior is surprisingly common. Sam Black is on the mission to change that. He is Director of Recovery Education at Covenant Eyes, which is a resource that aids in online accountability for people seeking to find freedom from unwanted sexual brokenness, and the author of The Healing Church, What Churches Get Wrong About Pornography and How To Fix It. He joins Stephen this week to have an incredibly vulnerable conversation around pornography, the challenges addressing it in churches, and how you as a mentor can support your mentee and have conversations with them around sex and the dangers of pornography.Struggling to quit watching porn? How can you dream well if you're not sleeping well? Our guest today is neurologist and sleep specialist Dr. Chris Winter. Chris starts out talking about how he has always enjoyed sleeping and how that ultimately led him to a career as a sleep specialist. We sleep a third of our life and sleep affects all aspects of our waking life. We talk about "eight hours a night, every night". Dom welcomes back Dr. Marty Makary, author of The Price We Pay: What Broke American Healthcare…and How To Fix It, to discuss a report that the CDC Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices would be voting on whether to add the COVID-19 to the childhood immunization schedule, with Dr. Makary expressing why he's not there yet to require something like this. Then, Giordano asks Makary about a report out of Boston University about a new strain of COVID developed in a lab that has a 80% kill rate, which kicks off a conversation about gain-of-function research and whether this is at all beneficial to the health of Americans. Full Hour | In today's third hour, Dom welcomes back Megan Brock, a mom from out in Bucks County, who along with other parents continues their crusade to understand what's being done inside schools, particularly centered on Coronavirus lockdowns. Today, Brock presented in Harrisburg to State Senate a new bill for parental rights along with State Senator and Gubernatorial Candidate Doug Mastriano. Brock tells about the new bill presented by the State Senator, stressing the necessity for transparency from both the State government and local school boards when determining decisions on curriculum and lockdowns. Then, Dom welcomes back Dr. The Corrupting Influence Of Corporate Lobbyists & How To Fix It! (Interview With AFP-TN's Tori Venable)We recently ran a story - https://bit.ly/3fhvatr - revealing that left-leaning corporations spend roughly $450,000 per legislator on lobbyists who are forever in the ears of our representatives and most often, these lobbyists are not working in the best interest of Tennessee taxpayers. Even our own government uses lobbyists to fight against legislation that the majority of Tennesseans would like to see passed. Tori Venable, Tennessee Director of Americans for Prosperity joins me today to talk about the connection between political action committees, or PACs, and the lobbyists who spend their entire working careers in the state capitol. More importantly, she talks about what regular Tennessee citizens can do to become citizen lobbyists and potentially wield the same or even more power than the corporate-funded left-leaning lobbyists and positively influence legislators in the Volunteer State. AFP-TN is offering a free citizen lobbyist training event coming up on October 22nd in Cookeville, Tennessee. Food will be provided, but seating is limited. Registration details in post. Dr. Marty Makary, Johns Hopkins Professor and author of The Price We Pay: What Broke American Healthcare and How To Fix It, rejoins the Dom Giordano Program to discuss multiple issues playing out in the world of medicine. First, Giordano asks Makary about a tweet he made about a new vaccine for the Omicron variant, in which the doctor revealed that the drug company behind the push approved this only after a test on 8 mice, telling that there is no publicly available human clinical data. Then, Giordano and Makary discuss another decrease in life expectancy for Americans, with Makary offering legitimate reasons for the decrease, relating it to both Coronavirus and obesity. (Photo by Noam Galai/Getty Images for HBO)
Full Hour | Today, Dom led off by carrying a thread he began yesterday on the Dom Giordano Program, providing an update on a situation playing out in Harrisburg centered in education. Yesterday, Dom learned that Catholic Schools and other private educational institutions have returned to school but have yet to receive their text books promised to them by the State in the most recent budget. Harrisburg Republicans have now gotten involved, with State Rep. Martina White and others alleging that this is a push against Catholic schools and school choice. Giordano ties this back to the ongoing senate and gubernatorial races playing out in Philadelphia, discussing the incompetence of current elected officials such as Attorney General Josh Shapiro and Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman. Then, Giordano plays back clips from John Fetterman's interview this week on MSNBC, particularly focusing on Fetterman's justification for denying debate offers from Republican opponent Dr. Mehmet Oz. Then, Dr. Full Hour | In today's third hour, Dom welcomes Dr. Marty Makary, author of The Price We Pay: What Broke American Healthcare and How To Fix It, back to the Dom Giordano Program to gather his opinion on Monkey pox. First, though, Giordano asks for Dr. Makary's opinion on the pushback that Bill Maher is facing due to an observation he made about those suffering from obesity. Dr. Makary discusses the trend toward indulgence and abundance, stressing the importance of exercise and moderation for overall health. Then, Giordano moves into a conversation centered around the rise in Monkey pox cases, with Makary explaining why the governmental response to Monkey pox has been a disaster and why we're on the verge of having another serious health crisis, mostly due to bad policy decisions. Then, after playing Dom's Money Melody, producer Dan asks Dom for his favorite song of all time, which kicks off a debate between “My Way” and “God Bless the U.S.A.” Dom, referring to a conversation from earlier in the show, brings up his favorite entertainer Tom Jones, and producer Dan is able to find a copy of Jones singing ‘My Way,' which Dom suggests knocks Jones down a few pegs. Then, Giordano takes calls from listeners wanting to offer their prognostication on the upcoming local election. (Photo by Samir Hussein/Getty Images)

We also explore what some possible fixes are based on "Dare2Share" Ministry Leader Greg Stier's new booklet "The Failure of Youth Ministry and How To Fix It".
