Būtu jānosaka zemākā cena tirgū vienam no produktiem katrā preču kategorijā. Vēl vairāki priekšlikumi. Kā tos vērtēt? Kādas varētu būt gan īstermiņa, gan ilgtermiņa sekas, ja šādas prasības stāsies spēkā?

This Week I Flashback.......The Soul Survivors, originally from New York City, grew up listening to the R & B groups of the 1950's. The sounds of groups like the Moonglows, Heartbeats, and Frankie Lymon and the Teenagers had a great influence on brothers Charlie and Rich Ingui. With various street corner groups, they developed their vocal skills. While in high school, Charlie joined the vocal group from Queens, N.Y. the Dedications. When, a year later the group's lead singer decided to leave, brother Rich was recruited. While performing at clubs in the New York area, they found themselves at the mercy of various house bands and decided to find a group of musicians who would become permanent members of the group therefore creating a self contained unit. The group would be renamed THE SOUL SURVIVORS.Shortly thereafter, the group began to build a strong following, playing venues in Atlantic City and Philadelphia. Enjoying great success in Philadelphia, they attracted the attention of record producers Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff. Into the recording studio they went, emerging with " Expressway To Your Heart " a song that would climb to #3 on Billboard's R&B chart and #4 on it's Top 100 list. The success of " Expressway " became Gamble and Huff's first "crossover" hit when it began to be played on both black and white radio stations. It's success enabled Gamble and Huff to reach the large audiences they sought in order to bring their " Sound Of Philadelphia " to the mass Market. In polls taken by both the Philadelphia Inquirer and Philadelphia's City Paper, " Expressway" was voted the number one record ever to come out of Philadelphia. "Expressway " was followed by two other chart records, "Explosion In My Soul" and " Mission Impossible". Their first album, released in 1968, was " When The Whistle Blows ". A second LP, on Atco Records, called "Take Another Look" appeared in 1969.During this time, the group toured extensively throughout the U.S. appearing with many different types of artists...everyone from Jackie Wilson, Smokey Robinson and The Miracles to Janis Joplin, the Beach Boys, Buffalo Springfield, Sly and the Family Stone and countless others. In 1974, the Soul Survivors reunited with Gamble and Huff to record their self titled album "The Soul Survivors" on TSOP Records. It was written and performed in a style that would define the unique sound of The Soul Survivors. The album produced "City Of Brotherly Love" which would show up on Billboard's R&B Top 100 and become the group's fourth charted outing.© 2024 All Rights Reserved© 2024 Building Abundant Success!!Join Me on ~ iHeart Media @ https://tinyurl.com/iHeartBASSpot Me on Spotify: https://tinyurl.com/yxuy23baAmazon Music ~ https://tinyurl.com/AmzBASAudacy:  https://tinyurl.com/BASAud

The album produced "City Of Brotherly Love" which would show up on Billboard's R&B Top 100 and become the group's fourth charted outing. The Soul Survivors recorded new music and covers several years ago, most recently working with David Uosikkinen of The Hooters and his project "In the Pocket" which is paying tribute to the vast catalog of music created in Philadelphia.© 2023 All Rights Reserved© 2023 Building Abundant Success!!Join Me on ~ iHeart Media @ https://tinyurl.com/iHeartBASSpot Me on Spotify: https://tinyurl.com/yxuy23baAmazon Music ~ https://tinyurl.com/AmzBASAudacy:  https://tinyurl.com/BASAud

Gamble & Huff, Philadelphia International Rock & Soul Classic  Charlie Ingui,  Original Lead Vocalist still records & tours  go check him out! ~ thesoulsurvivors.comR.I.P. Ritchie Ingui, original vocal half of the Soul Survivors. He transitioned in early 2017.Original group member Kenny Jeremiah Transitioned in December of 2020. Memorable Intro, AWESOME Classic Hit, a Kenny Gamble &Leon Huff hit that Helped launch the Legendary Philadelphia International Record Label. I am a Music Lover of All Styles, Generations. This Week I Flashback....... The Soul Survivors, originally from New York City, grew up listening to the R & B groups of the 1950's. The group would be renamed THE SOUL SURVIVORS. Shortly thereafter, the group began to build a strong following, playing venues in Atlantic City and Philadelphia. A second LP, on Atco Records, called "Take Another Look" appeared in 1969. During this time, the group toured extensively throughout the U.S. appearing with many different types of artists...everyone from Jackie Wilson, Smokey Robinson and The Miracles to Janis Joplin, the Beach Boys, Buffalo Springfield, Sly and the Family Stone and countless others. In 1974, the Soul Survivors reunited with Gamble and Huff to record their self titled album "The Soul Survivors" on TSOP Records. It was written and performed in a style that would define the unique sound of The Soul Survivors. The album produced "City Of Brotherly Love" which would show up on Billboard's R&B Top 100 and become the group's fourth charted outing. Through the years, the Soul Survivors have continued to provide audiences with high energy performances and music that is timeless and authentic ,appearing with 60's contemporaries Felix Cavaliere's Rascals. the Turtles, the Association, as well as fellow TSOP artists Harold Melvin's Bluenotes,Billy Paul, the Intruders, Russell Thompkins' Stylistics and others. The group's CD is called " Heart Full of Soul ", produced by Grammy nominated producers Jimmy Bralower and Johnny Gale. The Soul Survivors recorded new music and covers several years ago, most recently working with David Uosikkinen of The Hooters and his project "In the Pocket" which is paying tribute to the vast catalog of music created in Philadelphia.© 2022 All Rights Reserved© 2022 Building Abundant Success!!Join Me on ~ iHeart Radio @ https://tinyurl.com/iHeartBASSpot Me on Spotify: https://tinyurl.com/yxuy23baAmazon Music ~ https://tinyurl.com/AmzBAS

A proof was attempted from the beraisa “Rabbi Yehuda: Shemini Atzeres requires Korban, Shir, Bracha and Linah”. It would seem that “Bracha” means Shehechyanu. The gemara rejects this and says instead that it is referring to Birkas Hamazon and Tefillah. Summary It would seem so: Because if it means shehechyanu, how do you explain the beginning of the beraisa “All seven days of Sukkos require Bracha”, only the first day requires a shehechyanu? Response: It could mean that if someone missed the shehechyanu, he can make up for it all week. Challenge: But the shehechyanu has to be made as part of kiddush, which is only possible on the first night? Suggestion: Perhaps this is a proof to Rabbi Nachman. Rabbi Nachman: The shehechyanu blessing can be recited even on the street [without wine]. Response: It is not necessarily a proof, perhaps the Chachomim of the beraisa are discussing a case where he has wine. Challenge: Does Rabbi Yehuda hold that Shemini requires Linah? Beraisa: Rabbi Yehuda: Pesach Sheini does not require Linah because it states “In the morning [after Linah] you shall return to your homes, for six days you shall eat Matzoh” so we see that only what requires six days requires Linah. So it seems that in addition to excluding Pesach Sheini, he excludes Shemini Atzeres as well (it would seem to exclude Shavuos as well). Resolution: It excludes only Pesach Sheini.

Today's learning is sponsored Sponsor a day's learning (thousands of minutes!) for only $72 click here https://www.flipcause.com/secure/cause_pdetails/ODUwOTU= Summary Rabbi Yirmiyah from Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai and the same was said by Rabbi Yochanan from Rabbi Shimon Hamechuzi from Rabbi Yochanan Hamachusi: Whoever makes an addition to Yom Tov (Isru Chag - based on the verse in 36.1) with food and drink [to show that he regrets the departure of Yom Tov] it is considered by the verse (36.1) as if he built a mizbeach and brought a korban on it (the lesson is that one should always show regret when leaving a mitzvah, such as when you leave the Beis Haknesses or the Shabbos, or when you take steps back after Shmoneh Esrei, you wait a moment before returning). Chizkiyah quoting Rabbi Yirmiyah from Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai: Mitzvos must be taken standing upright, the way they grow. This is based on the possuk “[The krashim of the mishkan are] upright Shittim wood” (they were marked so as not to turn them upside down). We learned in a beraisa also thus: “Upright Shittim wood” - They stood the way they grew. Another pshat: They held up their [golden] coating. Another pshat: They stand forever. You might think that their hope is gone and they have no outlook for the future, so the possuk tells us that they stand forever (although they were secreted someplace under the Har Habayis by Shlomo, they stand forever. It's lucky that the Mohammedans do not allow the Israeli archaeologists to dig there and in Me'aras Hamachpelah). Chizkiyah quoting Rabbi Yirmiyah from Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai: I am capable of absolving the world of judgment (the merit of the tzadik protects the generation, Rabbi Shimon had especial merit because of his great suffering over 13 years in the cave) from the time I was born until now. And with the merit of my son Elazar, from the time of creation until now (the combined merit of tzadikim does not add, it multiplies). If we can add the merit of Yosam ben Uziyahu (his father, sometimes called Azaryah, was stricken with leprosy and could not remain in Yerushalayim, he took over all the functions of government but did not consider himself a king, merely an agent of his father. This humility and Kibud Av helped him reach great heights of perfection), our combined merit would absolve the entire world, from creation until the end of time! (Why he chose Yosam is a puzzle, why not Moshe Rabeinu, why not Rabbi Akiva?) (We see that Avraham expended considerable effort to try and save Sedom. It means that Rabbi Shimon, and perhaps other tzadikim too, could expend considerable effort and save the world. But they do not wish to interfere with the plan of Hakadosh Baruch Hu).

Howard Hewett Jr. (born October 1, 1955) is a Grammy Award-winning American singer–songwriter. Hewett rose to fame as the lead vocalist of the Grammy-winning R&B/soul vocal group Shalamar. Raised in Akron, Ohio, Hewett moved to Los Angeles in 1976, where he met John and Alonzo Daniels, owners of a historic club in the LA Crenshaw district, called Maverick's Flat. It was at Maverick's that Hewett first met Jeffrey Daniel and Jody Watley (eventually Shalamar). Hewett and the Daniels brothers formed a show group called "Beverly Hills" and through Daniels bookings toured throughout Europe, the UK, Scandinavia and Asia for all of 1977 till the middle of 1978. After returning from overseas, Hewett started recording for Jeffrey Bowen, a Motown producer (The Temptations, Commodores, Bonnie Pointer) who was working on a solo project on guitarist Eddie Hazel (Parliament-Funkadelic). Hewett never completed the project because towards the end of 1978, he got a call from Jeffrey Daniel, who was on the road with Shalamar in the middle of a promotional tour. They had suddenly found themselves in need of a lead singer and Daniel made Hewett an offer that he accepted. Within three days Hewett flew to New Jersey, where he met up with Watley and Daniel, rehearsed the lip synch and choreography to the current Shalamar single "Take That to the Bank", and found himself in front of a TV camera on a local dance show in Paterson, New Jersey. They completed the promotional tour and returned to Los Angeles and immediately started recording the Big Fun LP with their producer, Leon Sylvers. The trio went on to record songs such as "Second Time Around", "Make That Move", "A Night to Remember", "Dancing in the Sheets" and the ballad "This Is for the Lover in You". Hewett was the group's lead singer from 1979 until 1985.When Shalamar broke up in the mid-1980s, Hewett went on to a successful solo career. However, in 1985 before signing his solo deal with Elektra Records, he was arrested and indicted in Miami with his fiancée Mori Molina for possession with an intent to distribute cocaine.[1] Molina, who was indicted in Tampa as well as Miami, was convicted and served prison time; but after a four-day trial, in which Molina testified that Hewett had nothing to do with the crime, Hewett was acquitted of all charges.[2] In spite of his legal battles, Hewett signed his solo deal with Elektra Records and in 1986, before the Miami trial, released his first solo album, I Commit to Love (R&B number 12), a solid urban album that yielded two top 10 R&B hits, "I'm for Real" (R&B number 2) and "Stay" (R&B number 8). The album went Platinum and also included "Say Amen", a gospel tune that became a surprise hit on the Gospel as well as Urban charts and is one of Hewett's many signature songs. In 1988, he released his second album Forever and Ever, which featured the hits "Strange Relationship" (R&B number 9, and "Once, Twice, Three Times" (R&B number 15). Forever and Ever was certified Gold. In 1990, Hewett released his Platinum self-titled album, which included the hit "Show Me" (R&B number 2), and "If I Could Only Have That Day Back" (R&B number 14), 1992 saw the release of his 4th album, the LP Allegiance, which was not received as well as his previous albums. He contributed to the second season theme song of Hangin' With Mr. Cooper, which was a remake of Sam & Dave's R&B Top 10 hit "Soul Man". This recording was produced by singer Steve Tyrell. After 1995's It's Time (released by Caliber Records in the US and Expansion Records in the UK), Hewett spent much of his time providing guest vocals on albums by jazz artists such as Joe Sample, Brian Culbertson, and George Duke, among others. In 2000, The Rippingtons featured Hewett on "I Found Heaven" on their Life in the Tropics album. In 2001, Hewett recorded his first full gospel album, The Journey, followed a year later by The Journey Live: From the Heart. In October 2006, Hewett released a new single, "Enough" (with jazz legend George Duke), which received substantial play on urban contemporary and R&B radio stations. Hewett is signed to The Groove Records, an independent label based in Los Angeles.[3] In October 2008, Hewett released his long-awaited Christmas CD, Howard Hewett Christmas, which combines his soulful R&B voice with classic Christmas songs. Working with music greats Earth, Wind and Fire, Stevie Wonder, and new vocal sensation Jasselle, who provides a Latin flair, Hewett proves that his music style remains classic, offering a message that reignites the spirit of Christmas. In 2009 he recorded a duet with soul singer Teena Marie, "Lover's Lane", on her album Congo Square. Hewett now enjoys recording at his leisure, touring the US and overseas,[4] and spending time with his four children and two grandchildren. Howard Hewett was married to his first ex-wife Rainey Riley-Cunningham. Hewett had two daughters, LaKiva and Rainey. Hewett married Mari Molina in 1986 but later divorced. He married actress/singer Nia Peeples and had a son, Christopher (born 1989). Peeples appeared in the music video for his song "Show Me." After their divorce, Hewett married Angela and had one daughter, Anissa. He and Angela divorced in 2012, and he currently lives in Los Angeles, California. According to a DNA analysis, he is descended, mainly, from people of Guinea Bissau and of the Limba of Sierra Leone https://www.instagram.com/howard_hewett/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RNs60wj47Us See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Interview w/Chris J of the legendary Barclays Season 1 Episode 3 Producers/Hosts: Adriene Hobdy Brandon Bougard Editor: Gabriel Birkby The Bar-Kays were formed in Memphis, TN, in 1966, growing out of a local group dubbed the Imperials. Modeled on classic Memphis soul instrumental outfits like the Mar-Keys and Booker T. & the MG's, the Bar-Kays originally included guitarist Jimmy King (not the famed bluesman), trumpeter Ben Cauley, organist Ronnie Caldwell, saxophonist Phalon Jones, bassist James Alexander, and drummer Carl Cunningham. Adopting a mutated version of their favorite brand of rum (Bacardi) as their name, the band started playing heavily around Memphis, and eventually caught the attention of Stax/Volt, which signed the sextet in early 1967. With help from house drummer Al Jackson, Jr., the label began grooming the Bar-Kays as a second studio backing group that would spell Booker T. & the MG's on occasion. That spring, the Bar-Kays cut their first single, "Soul Finger," a playful, party-hearty instrumental punctuated by a group of neighborhood children shouting the title. "Soul Finger" reached the pop Top 20 and went all the way to number three on the R&B chart, establishing the Bar-Kays in the public eye (although the follow-up, "Give Everybody Some," barely scraped the R&B Top 40). Producer Allen Jones began to take an interest in the group and became their manager and mentor; even better, Otis Redding chose them as his regular backing band that summer.  Support the show (https://linktr.ee/exposuremagazine)

Rava: It is possul . Summary Rava to Abayye: So according to you, a sukkah can be made up of 2 parallel walls, as long as there is a board running across from one to the other? (It would seem so, because in the case of the exedra there are no walls at all!) Abayye to Rava: In that case I would agree that it's possul because it's like an open alleyway. (The imaginary wall is erased by the fact that people are breaking through it all the time. But behind the portico the exedra has actual walls around it). Challenge: It seems that Abayye and Rava are merely rehashing an old debate of Rav and Shmuel: An exedra that is in an open valley (it is not surrounded by walls, but it does have two walls at a right angle): Rav: One is permitted to carry within its bounds on Shabbos because of ‘pi tikrah'. Shmuel: ‘Pi tikrah' is not applied in this case. Resolution: There is no doubt with regard to Shmuel's opinion. Abayye and Rava's argument depends on their understanding of Rav. Abayye holds that Rav always applies the principle of pi tikrah, so he applies it here as well. Rava explains that Rav applied the principle of ‘pi tikrah' here in the valley because the walls were made especially for the exedra. But in the first case the walls are actually part of houses, and they are not there for the exedra at all.

Today's learning sponsored by Sponsor a day's learning (thousands of minutes!) for only $72 click here https://www.flipcause.com/secure/cause_pdetails/ODUwOTU If tzitzis are threaded and knotted while the ends are still connected. Rav says it's kosher, Shmuel says it's possul. Summary Challenge: “If tzitzis are placed without cutting their ends, they're possul”. This is a challenge to Rav? Rav: They're possul until the ends are cut. But Shmuel's opinion is that it is possul even if the ends are cut*. This was also taught by Levi. This was also taught by Rav Masnah quoting Shmuel. Ikka D'omri (a different version): Rav Masnah: I had this question myself and I asked Shmuel. He told me that it is possul even if the ends are cut. Challenge: “If tzitzis are placed and their ends are only cut later, they're possul”. Additionally, we learned regarding sukkah: “The Torah says ‘You should make it' this teaches that a mitzvah can't be ‘koshered' after it was already ‘made'. This is why if one trained vines to cover a sukkah , it is possul.” What's the case? If the vine is still connected, it's possul because it's connected to the ground, not because of ‘taaseh v'lo min ha'asuy'. The vine must have already been cut off, but it's still possul because of ‘taaseh v'lo min ha'asuy'! So it's a refutation of Rav. Rav can say: It may have been detached in a way that is not noticeable. But if it would be cut in a noticeable manner it would be kosher. (It is ossur because of mar'is ayin). Challenge: But the first part of the quote, about tzitzis, remains a challenge to Rav?Indeed. __________ * Tosfos: The halacha follows this opinion. The principle of ‘taaseh v'lo min ha'asuy' is also followed with regard to sukkos.

Rabbah: If a lechi was made in order to permit carrying in a mavuy on Shabbos, one can place schach on it and use it as a sukkah. Summary Rabbah: If schach was placed above pasei bira’os (see 3.4 for explanation), it is a kosher sukkah. [In keeping with the principle of migo* (5.4)]. Rabbah taught all three cases because we wouldn’t be able to derive one from the other. Had he taught this principle only with regard to lechi: We would say that it’s a unique case because there are two complete walls unlike pasei bira’os which have no complete walls. Had he taught this principle only with regard to pasei bira’os: We would say that it’s a unique case because there are four walls unlike lechi which does not have the necessary amount of walls. Had he taught this principle with regard to both pasei bira’os and lechi: We still would not derive a leniency from sukkah which is only an asei to Shabbos which is more stringent (5.5). __________ *Tosfos: Pasei bira’os was only permitted in certain circumstances for Shabbos, so how is it extended to sukkos? The limitations on pasei bira’os are only d’rabanan in nature, in order to perform the mitzvah of sukkah no limitations were applied with regard to sukkos. However the Rema does place certain limitations on a sukkah made of pasei bira’os.

(This is a rule in hilchos Shabbos allowing for imaginary walls to be drawn as a continuation of existing walls. In our case we can draw imaginary walls on all four sides of the pillar which reach the schach. Since there is less than 20 amos from the top of the pillar to the schach, one who is on the pillar can be considered inside a kosher sukkah).Rava to Abayye: A sukkah requires actual walls*.________* Tosfos: However even regarding sukkah the rule is that we can draw down an imaginary wall from a ‘pi tikrah’ because there we can at least see the beginnings of a wall. We are in middle of the lengthy beraisa which gives many examples.SummaryThe beraisa continues:It doesn’t create a projection between two cities (if there is a house within 70 amos of a city it is considered an extension of the city regarding techumin). It is not divided by brothers or partners (see 2.5).Suggestion: It would seem that this beraisa follows the opinion of Rebbi (2.1, a sukkah must be 4x4 amos )?Response: The Chachomim rule that 7x7 tefachim is a kosher sukkah which is supposed to be a temporary dwelling. However they may agree that a house must be 4x4 amos. The beraisa (2.2) mentioned laws regarding mezuzah, ma’akah, nega’im, batei arei choma and going to battle. This is because the Torah specifies the word ‘house’ regarding all these. The beraisa mentioned three other laws; Such a house cannot necessitate eiruvei chatzeiros. It cannot make a mavuy eligible for shituf. And eiruvei chatzeiros may not be placed there. This is because such a house is not considered habitable. It was mentioned that eiruvei chatzeiros may not be placed in such a house, however it seems that shitufei mavuyos may be placed there. This is because placing it in such a house cannot be worse than leaving it out in the chatzer. As we learn:Mishna: Eiruvei chatzeiros are placed in the chatzer. Shitufei mavuyos are placed in the mavuy.Challenge: Mishna: Eiruvei chatzeiros may not be placed in a gatekeeper’s booth (which cannot be considered a dwelling since the gatekeeper doesn’t stay there overnight), a pavillion or a porch. One who lives in such a place cannot necessitate eiruvei chatzeiros (2.2).(So we see that an eiruv cannot be placed in the chatzer, but must be placed in a house).Resolution: The mishna must be read: Eiruvei chatzeiros are placed in a house in the chatzer. Shitufei mavuyos are placed in a chatzer of the mavuy.Placing the shituf in a house that is less than 4x4 amos cannot be worse than placing it in a chatzer of the mavuy. Rabbah: They need to be able to see the schach as it states “your generations should know”.2. Rabbi Zeira: A sukkah must provide shade, as it states “A sukkah by day to shade”.3. Rava: A temporary dwelling is only up until 20 amos. A sukkah must be temporary as it states “You should dwell in the sukkah”.SummaryThe Others did not accept the reasoning of Rabbah: The possuk is referring to the knowledge of future generations, it is not teaching that one must be able to see the schach. The Others did not accept the reasoning of Rabbi Zeira: The possuk is referring to the times of Moshiach, it is not teaching about the schach.Rabbi Zeira: The possuk could have compared the security of Moshiach’s times to the shade of a canopy. By comparing it to a sukkah, we learn an extra law about sukkos.(The challenge posed to Rabbi Zeira was very strong, and that’s why he was compelled to defend himself. The challenge on Rabbah’s logic was not as strong.)The Others did not accept the reasoning of Rava: based on Abayye’s challenge, that a sukkah built with iron walls is kosher.Question: Which of the three reasons accounts for the statement of Rabbi Yoshiya?Rabbi Yoshiya quoting Rav: The Chachomim agree to Rabbi Yehuda (1.1) that a high sukkah is kosher in a case where the walls go all the way up to the schach.Answer: This is in accordance with the explanation of Rabbah. Since the walls reach up to the schach, one’s eyes follow the walls and he will be reminded of the schach.Question: Which of the three reasons accounts for the statement of Rav Huna?Rav Huna quoting Rav: The Chachomim agree to Rabbi Yehuda (1.1) that a high sukkah is kosher in a case where the sukkah’s area is greater than 4x4 amos.Answer: This is in accordance with the explanation of Rabbi Zeira. Since it is wide the shade persists despite the elevation. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Rock & Soul Classic Update R.I.P. Ritchie Ingui, original vocal half of the Soul Survivors. He transitioned in early 2017. Memorable Intro, AWESOME Classic Hit, a Kenny Gamble &Leon Huff hit that Helped launch the Legenday Philadelphia International Record Label. I am a Music Lover of All Styles, Generations. This Week I Flashback....... The Soul Survivors, originally from New York City, grew up listening to the R & B groups of the 1950’s. When, a year later the group’s lead singer decided to leave, brother Rich was recruited. While performing at clubs in the New York area, they found themselves at the mercy of various house bands and decided to find a group of musicians who would become permanent members of the group therefore creating a self contained unit. The group would be renamed THE SOUL SURVIVORS. Shortly thereafter, the group began to build a strong following, playing venues in Atlantic City and Philadelphia. In polls taken by both the Philadelphia Inquirer and Philadelphia’s City Paper, " Expressway" was voted the number one record ever to come out of Philadelphia. "Expressway " was followed by two other chart records, "Explosion In My Soul" and " Mission Impossible". Their first album, released in 1968, was " When The Whistle Blows ". A second LP, on Atco Records, called "Take Another Look" appeared in 1969. During this time, the group toured extensively throughout the U.S. appearing with many different types of artists...everyone from Jackie Wilson, Smokey Robinson and The Miracles to Janis Joplin, the Beach Boys,Buffalo Springfield, Sly and the Family Stone and countless others. In 1974, the Soul Survivors reunited with Gamble and Huff to record their self titled album "The Soul Survivors" on TSOP Records. It was written and performed in a style that would define the unique sound of The Soul Survivors. The album produced "City Of Brotherly Love" which would show up on Billboard’s R&B Top 100 and become the group’s fourth charted outing. Karyn Layvonne White (born October 14, 1965) is an American singer who was popular during the late 1980s and early 1990s. She is known for several hit singles including "Superwoman" (1988), "Secret Rendezvous" (1989), "The Way You Love Me" (1988), and the US Hot 100 number one single "Romantic" (1991). White's self-titled debut album Karyn White was released in 1988. It was produced by L.A. Reid and Babyface and achieved platinum status in the US. The album contained the Hot 100 hit singles "The Way You Love Me", "Secret Rendezvous", and "Superwoman" as well as the #1 R&B hit "Love Saw It", a duet with Babyface. White was nominated in the Best R&B/Urban Contemporary New Artist category for the 1989 Soul Train Music Awards which was won by Al B. Sure. She was also received nominations for two Grammy Awards. She became the first female artist to have the first three solo releases from their debut album hit #1 on the R&B charts. Her follow-up album was Ritual of Love in 1991. It had songs produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis and featured the hit single "Romantic", which hit number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. Other singles from the album include "The Way I Feel About You" (U.S. #12), "Walkin' the Dog," and "Do Unto Me" (the last two did not chart). The photographer and director Matthew Rolston directed the video for the hit single "Romantic". Michael Walls, who was credited as stylist on Ritual of Love, worked with White on the look for the Ritual of Love album sleeve, and three of the music videos released for the album. Walls had the idea for the Chanel inspired pearls and black dress used on the album cover, the french maid look and multiple wardrobe changes for video of "The Way I Feel About You", and the "Walkin' the Dog" video, which was based on a scene from the film Sweet Charity. Her next album was Make Him Do Right in 1994. The album did not sell well, although she did chart with the singles "Hungah" and the Babyface-penned "Can I Stay With You", which became her final U.S. R&B Top 10 hit in early 1995. "I'd Rather Be Alone", her last chart single to date, peaked at #50 on the same chart later that year.White left Warner Bros. Records in 1999, and dropped out of the music public eye for many years to start a family. In 2006, she recorded a new album, titled Sista Sista; which was slated for release in 2006, but was shelved. Two tracks, "All I Do" and "Disconnected", were later released on the best ofcompilation album, Superwoman: The Best of Karyn White. She was also slated to appear on the Soul Train Music Awards in 2009 as a tribute to Babyface Edmonds. However, this performance was canceled when Edmonds and Reid withdrew from the Soul Train ceremony, declining the honor. In 2011, she was slated to have shot a pilot for a reality series with R&B singers Shaniceand Debelah Morgan.White released her first album after a seventeen-year break, Carpe Diem, in March 2012.[1] The album featured the singles "Sista, Sista" and "Unbreakable" both of which received music videos. In 2017, White landed a recurring role on the BET Centric television series "Beauty and the Baller" as trophy wife Kym Banks.[2][3] She also returned with new music and her first feature film role, in Gale and the Storm directed by Derrick Muhammad.[4] The soundtrack for the film was released on September 4th and included her latest single "Blind Man Walking."[5][6] The film made its premiere on October 12, 2017.She earned a 2017 UB Honors nomination for Gale and the Storm soundtrack in the "Best Independent R&B Album Release" category See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Armond & Doc continue on this week by discussing their Top 10 (or 11) albums of 2015 - where did Kendrick's album rank? Did Future get any projects on either list? Did Armond & Doc agree on anything? All this plus Doc & Armond really get into the whole concept of TPAB being "challenging" - is it because of the content? Is it because it's jazz based? Is it because it's "different"? Listen and use #ClockRadioSpeakers on Twitter to let them know what you think!
