For instance, Prof. Dr. Huberman explains why he believes in God.Many things can sciences explain and many things science can't explain…And, all sciences are not denying the existence of God, even if they can't prove it.Even Einstein/Carl Jung believed in God...Our brain can do incredible things and how is that possible?Who has created the world, nature…?What was first the coconut or the palm?God who created both?!We can't control everything… or even very few things in our life to 100%.We depend on so many things/people and circumstances to get the things that we want. How can we attract the things/circumstances in our life?So there must be something beyond our thinking.Does praying help?Does reading the Bible help?Does praying can give us peace?Try it out!And so Prof Huberman tried it out and it works for him to find peace…He couldn't solve certain conflicts in himself and praying dissolved his conflicts…He wanted always to have a deep connection to God…Because he thought it would help. The things he prayed for, were showing up in his life or the circumstances that he needed to solve his problems… Just so… Coincident? Or miracle? If you want to make your body strong then you have to exercise your body. And so it is with God…Without effort, you can't get anything!Start your journey with God and read the scriptures, pray…I never prayed…I never was baptized.I speak directly to God…My journey to God was via Meditation, Tantra with my darling, and therapy.I have written about the miracles that happened to me in my book: Have Faith In The Lord. After reading, you can't think anymore that were all coincidences.... I don't care for religions and I have read the main scriptures from all religions…A personal God relationship is the best for nearly everybody…Regardless of which God it is…My Video:  Why should we believe in God?  https://youtu.be/13BaPlWhSCYMy Audio: https://divinesuccess.net/wp-content/uploads/2021/Podcast4/Why-should-we-believe-in-God.mp3

R., Argon, Y. Abstract: Activation of the ER stress sensor IRE1a contributes to neuronal development and is known to induce neuronal remodeling in vitro and in vivo. On the other hand, excessive IRE1 activity is often detrimental and may contribute to neurodegeneration. To determine the consequences of increased activation of IRE1a, we used a mouse model expressing a C148S variant of IRE1a with increased and sustained activation. Surprisingly, the mutation did not affect the differentiation of highly secretory antibody-producing cells, but exhibited a strong protective effect in a mouse model of experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE). Significant improvement in motor function was found in IRE1C148S mice with EAE relative to WT mice. Coincident with this improvement, there was reduced microgliosis in the spinal cord of IRE1C148S mice, with reduced expression of pro-inflammatory cytokine genes. This was accompanied by reduced axonal degeneration and enhanced CNPase levels, suggesting improved myelin integrity. Interestingly, while the IRE1C148S mutation is expressed in all cells, the reduction in proinflammatory cytokines and in the activation of microglial activation marker IBA1, along with preservation of phagocytic gene expression, all point to microglia as the cell type contributing to the clinical improvement in IRE1C148S animals. Our data suggest that sustained increase in IRE1a activity can be protective in vivo, and that this protection is cell type and context dependent. Considering the overwhelming but conflicting evidence for the role of the ER stress in neurological diseases, a better understanding of the function of ER stress sensors in physiological contexts is clearly needed. In this episode, I'm talking about digestion because where our digestion goes, our health goes. A multitude of studies have researched the relationship between food and digestion and these are the conclusions: Coincident with the trend of ultra processed food consumption is an increase in cases of inflammatory bowel disease and metabolic syndrome. High consumption of ultra-processed foods in men and women was associated with increased risk of colorectal cancer. High consumption of ultra-processed foods associated with functional diarrhea, function constipation and irritable bowel syndrome. Regular ultra-processed food consumption upsets balance of flora in digestive tract setting stage for Crohn's disease. Ultra processed food consumption creates bacterial balance associated with increased risk of obesity and diabetes in parents and their offspring. Please recognize that dependence on sterile, ultra convenient, easily accessible, beautifully packaged food items is a recipe for digestive demise.    -------- Start accumulating health with the Shake the Sugar guide: ⬇️⬇️⬇️ https://drwholeness.com/stsguide Ask your lifestyle health questions on social media, tag @drwholeness and use #accumulatehealth. -------- Connect with Dr. Matt online:

At the end of WW I, a historical conjuncture incorporated technological developments, social change, political dynamics, and industrial structure into a rapidly growing global music economy. India's position in that economy was determined by internal cultural dynamics but equally by its place within the corporate structures of British colonialism. Coincident with Indian independence, a second historical conjuncture helped to isolate the Indian music industry from the global music economy. That isolation affected Indian music culture in multiple ways throughout the 20th Century. Although the cultural effects of globalization have become increasingly embedded in the 21 st Century, the aftermath of that isolation continues to be apparent in Indian music culture. This talk is based on ethnographic and archival research on India's music industry. I examine the position of and developments in Indian music, culture, and commerce from the early 1920s through the first decades of the 21 st Century. GREGORY D. A localized kinematic structure detected in atomic carbon emission spatially coincident with a proposed protoplanet in the HD 163296 disk by Felipe Alarcón et al. on Wednesday 30 November Over the last five years, studies of the kinematics in protoplanetary disks have led to the discovery of new protoplanet candidates and several structures linked to possible planet-disk interactions. We detect a localized kinematic bipolar structure in the HD 163296 disk present inside the deepest dust gap at 48 au from atomic carbon line emission. HD 163296's stellar jet and molecular winds have been described in detail in the literature; however, the kinematic anomaly in C I emission is not associated with either of them. Further, the velocity of the kinematic structure points indicates a component fast enough to differentiate it from the Keplerian profile of the disk; and its atomic nature hints at a localized UV source strong enough to dissociate CO and launch a C I outflow, or a strong polar flow from the upper layers of the disk. By discarding the stellar jet and previously observed molecular winds, we explore different sources for this kinematic feature in C I emission that could be associated with a protoplanet inflow/outflow, or disk winds. arXiv: http://arxiv.org/abs/http://arxiv.org/abs/2211.16531v1

Manufacturing Activity - is a very sensitive to the economy, nobody wants to increase inventory and production without buyers; it is a good indicator of what is happening across multiple economic sectors. Short-Term Interest Rates - very sensitive to economy, the central bank (Federal Reserve in the US) is tasked to keep inflation low. Low rates means the central bank is trying to stimulate the economy and raise rates as growth creates inflation in prices Inflation - the term is loosely used to define any increase in prices. The real definition of inflation is when a government over prints money destroying the value of its currency.

It's been a very disturbing few weeks since Russia invaded Ukraine. Coincident with the initiation of war, clinician, author and dharma teacher Lisa Dale Miller taught two weeks in a row at Marin Sangha. These two dharma talks explore, from a Buddhist point of view, what it means to be wise, compassionate, and even awakened in the midst of difficult circumstances. The second talk, which starts at 27:00, dives deeper into what the Buddha called, the rod of violence, as well as its causes and alleviation. May these talks benefit all beings everywhere and contribute to the end of all war and violence.

Offshore Explorer with Scott Dodgson

Saké Barrel Divers The mariner brings a spirit of work and focus to any job. A fisherman brings faith. Together, these traits form a citizen of the oceans. In the middle chapters of world nautical history, specific characteristics from the tenacity of the Japanese fisherman/sailor have profoundly shaped the American mariner. Sailor's knowledge is transformative. Knowledge of techniques, sources of best practices, the intuition and faith, are guidelines to living on the ocean. Like flotsam and jetsam, what doesn't work on this tide might be the solution on the next. The American mariner at the turn of the century could be characterized as being in a period of transition. The Japanese fisherman had a thousand years of uninterrupted practice at fishing and sailing. Their fortitude and skill became the envy of the white population in Southern California during a time of Jim Crow. Anger and racism persist today among a few, but it is clear the heritage of the Japanese fisherman and sailor added a beneficial facet to the American marine character.Japanese fisherman sailed down the west coast of American past Point Conception and found the Channel Islands. The Japanese showed great courage and determination to build a new life based on ancient skills. Japanese on the Channel Islands began harvesting abalone at the turn of the century. The Channel Islands lay a few miles off Santa Barbara. Both Japanese and Chinese abalone competed fiercely for the abalone, a delicacy much loved in Los Angeles's Little Tokyo and China town. The railroad brought many Chinese and Japanese laborers to Southern California. However, the Japanese that made the mark were the sailors and fishermen. Japanese fishermen began diving for abalones, first as free divers from surface floats and later, more successfully, as hard-hat divers. They used old rice wine casks as floats to rest on after each dive. Taking a few deep breaths, they would dive to the bottom and return to the surface with their catch. They quickly earned the nickname of saké barrel divers because of their unusual technique. Abalone are snails with a large foot used for grasping a rock. They feed off the kelp and the organisms that live in and around the kelp. Often an urchin will attach itself to the heavy shell and offer camouflage. Once a diver spots an abalone, he swoops in and tries to lift it off the rock as quickly as possible. This can be done with some success. If the Abalone locks, it's meaty foot to the rock, a bar will be needed to pry the foot off the rock. It is not a simple task, especially free diving. In 1900, county ordinances were passed that made it illegal to gather abalones from less than twenty feet of water. These regulations were racially motivated. The regulations completely halted Chinese commercial abalone operations. Undaunted by the new regulations, the Japanese dominated the collecting of the abalone in a short time. “Avalon. Catalina is up in arms. She has been invaded by Japan. A lot of little brown men, with a small sloop, appeared at Empire a few days since, and are preceding to skin the rocks of the abalones. These Japs are divers. They wear goggles with which they locate the abalone as they swim along the surface, and making a spring, they emulate the ‘hell diver' and disappear to wrench the inoffensive shellfish from its hold on the rock by a quick thrust of an iron bar. Practice has made these men able to remain underwater an inconceivable length of time, and they seem to be as much at home in and under the water as the shag...” LA Times. April 21, 1903. Soon the albacore was over fished. One of the last remaining drying camps was White Point. The Japanese were routed by police and forced to leave. Unable to dive for albacore, the fisherman took up residence on Terminal Island in Los Angeles harbor. Shifting gears, the Japanese fisherman took to purse seine fishing for tuna. Japanese fishermen built small rowboats to explore the San Pedro Bay for tuna and used 6-foot poles for their catch. By 1907, the Japanese fishing village of Fish Harbor was established with its first houses built on pilings along the shore of the main channel. Within a few years, the Japanese population on Terminal Island had increased to 600. The tight-knit community, living in isolation, developed their own blend of Japanese and English, referred to as “kii-shu ben”, a dialect from the Kii district in Wakayama, the township where many had immigrated. While small motorboats increased the distance traveled for their catch, Japanese immigrants devised an unprecedented fishing technique. They would send an advance boat to scout for schools of albacore tuna and catch the anchovies and sardines the tuna followed for live bait. Then, a fishing vessel with a team of fishermen would release the bait and spear the tuna using short bamboo poles with hooks while standing on the steel walkways near the hulls and toss them on to the deck of the boat. Because of local fishermen's high yield of tuna, several fish canneries opened on Terminal Island. Their success was met with anger and violence. The Los Angeles Herald reported August 4, 1920: “Fishermen battle. Vessel blown up. San Diego, August 4. — The police today expressed the belief that ill feeling among the Japanese an Italian and Austrian fishermen operating off the Southern California coast, has led to a sea battle in which the Japanese fishingschooner Yomato was blown up or sunk and her entire crew slain. Bits of wreckage fromthe Yomato were found today. Recently, four bodies were washed ashore. How many lives were lost is unknown?” August 7, 1920 [LAH]: “Hunt Austrians as Jap boat wrecks. Nets on Japanese fishing craft were tucked in lockers today and the smacks themselves idled back and forth in zig-zag courses over the fishing lanes while the expressionless faces of their owners searched the sea for a sight of certain Austrian boats, wanted in connection with the sinking of the Jap boat Itzumato. Government patrol boats are plying overfishing banks in Southern California waters on the same mission, trying to find the craft and its crew believed to be responsible for the ramming of the Itzumato and the probable murder of its crew. Working to end the feud prevailing for weeks between Japanese and Austrian fishermen, Fish and Game Warden Paul Anderson, on board the patrol boat Albacore, came on the wrecked Itzumato off Catalina Island last night. Coincident with the report of the finding of the Itzumato, it was reported in San Diego by American fishermen that the crew of a wrecked Japanese boat had been picked up by an Italian fishing craft. Word of the Phrone Rose, an Austrian boat, has not been received for the past 10 days and authorities are now confident that this boat has met the same fate as the other, being sunk with her crew on board. The fishing boat Wanderer of San Pedro, abandoned by her crew because of a broken propeller shaft, is now believed to be a derelict at sea, according to the latest reports. With the finding of the wrecked Itzumato, four boats are now missing in Southern California waters, only one of which has been fully accounted for. Besides the Wanderer and Phrone Rose, a Japanese boat named Yamato disappeared last month and is believed to have been swallowed up by the sea and hew crew murdered in the Jap-Austrian warfare.” The Japanese were in the right in these conflicts. The Austrians and Italians were poaching the fishing grounds. No matter the right, being white won the day. No one was ever prosecuted for the murders. The warfare eventually dissipated with the loss of fishing stocks. The incidents were closely watched by the local fisherman. For Los Angeles locals, these reports were sensational news. Testimonies of the times:“My father's name is Tomekichi Takeuchi. The Japanese came from Shima-gun, Mieken, Japan. He landed in San Francisco in 1902, at twenty-two years old. He worked as a cook in a restaurant for a couple of years. Heard him mention how he threw a pie at a customer and got fired. He moved to Los Angeles, Little Tokyo, and got a job as a private chauffeur driver, off and on. Meantime, he moved to Terminal Island, called his wife from Japan. He and his friend, Mr. Heizaburo Hamaguchi, leased a fishing boat called Amazon from French Cannery. They carried, including them, thirteen crew members. They fished from near the lighthouse, to the north and much later toward Mexico.” Kimiye Okuno Takeuchi Ariga. “Fish Harbor on Terminal Island was on the southwestern part of the island and comprised a fishing fleet, canneries, and 5,000 Japanese men, women, and children. The adults were the first generation Issei from Japan, and their children who were born in America are the Nisei like me. The fishermen working out of Fish Harbor visited the local waters of Catalina, Santa Barbara, and San Diego to catch sardines, mackerel, skipjack, and tuna throughout the year. My father was captain of a small fishing boat and had several men working for him. My mother worked in the fish cannery, of which they were part owners. Each cannery had a very loud whistle, which was sounded when a ship came into the harbor with a catch, signaling that it was time to go to work. Most of the ladies knew what cannery was calling for work by its distinctive whistle. I recall hearing the loud whistles from the various canneries being blown one after another. This meant that many ships had come back full of fish. My mother, like all the ladies, always had her work clothes ready, because there was no definite schedule when the ships would come in. Most of the ships did not have a radio or other communications equipment. Upon hearing the whistle, my mother would drop whatever she was doing, change clothes and run to work, along with many others in the neighborhood. Four of the largest canneries were French Sardine, Van Camp, Franco-Italian and Southern California.” Frank Koo Endo. By the 1930s, the Japanese community had increased to 2,000, with most of the men employed as fishermen and the women working in the canneries. In 1935, following the depression, 6,000 people were directly employed in the fishing industry. Its payroll was the largest in San Pedro, approximately three-quarters of a million dollars per month. The industry was at its peak during World War II. During the fifties, sardines, and mackerel gradually diminished, causing the decline of the industry in San Pedro. There is no better example of the determination, work ethic and skill of the Japanese fisherman. They were directly responsible for creating the fishing industry that employed 6,000 American workers despite the sickness that was Jim Crow. At its height in 1942, the Nikkei population had grown to 3,000, just prior to its abrupt demise following the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Internment “On December 7, 1942, I was in the twelfth grade. My father was still working the rice business in Japan, and soon I was going to graduate with the class of summer 1942. I heard on the radio that morning that Pearl Harbor had been attacked by the Japanese. I really didn't know where Pearl Harbor was but was shocked by the news. I wondered if this would have any effect on me. Early that afternoon, I went to see a movie in San Pedro. I boarded the ferryboat that I took daily to school. Upon docking in San Pedro, I was taken into custody, along with other Japanese Americans, by armed soldiers. We were put into a temporary barbed wire enclosure. I told them I was an American citizen, but they stated they had orders to stop all Japanese. After being detained a couple of hours, we were told to return to the island.” Frank Koo Endo. On February 19, 1942, Franklin D. Roosevelt signed Executive Order 9066, ultimately sending 120,000 Japanese Americans to internment camps. Within two days, Terminal Island residents were told they had 48 hours to prepare for relocation. Former Terminal Islanders recall with great sadness giving up almost everything they owned, including business their families had built up for generations. Interning Japanese Americans was done out of fear and ignorance. It was illegal. The Japanese sailors had made their mark on the American mariner.  offshoreexplorer.org

In a small town bordering a swampy region, unexplained murders and rumors of mysterious happenings surround the swamp-based home of the reclusive but respected Curt Ingston (Morgan). Ingston uses a wheelchair and has invited to his home the three doctors who were trying to cure him when his paralysis set in. Already in the household are his grim-humored butler Rolf; a lecherous chauffeur, Lawrie; a mannish housekeeper, Miss Judd; an Eastern mystic, Agar Singh; and Ingston's allegedly mentally ill sister, Margaret. Outside, the gate is watched by a shrivelled old hunchback called Torque.Coincident with the arrival of the three male physicians is the appearance of a lady psychiatrist, Dr. Lynn Harper, summoned secretly by Margaret to prove she is not insane and help her secure freedom from the control of Ingston and Miss Judd. She arrives accompanied by a neighbor: mystery-writer Dick Baldwin, who rescued her after her car broke down in the swamp. Neither Ingston nor Miss Judd welcome her presence, but must contend with keeping her overnight until her car can be repaired.Following dinner, at which Ingston's conviction that the three doctors are directly responsible for his current condition becomes evident, the party witnesses an exhibition of materialization of an Egyptian skeleton by Agar Singh. Dr. Harper is forbidden to meet with Margaret. Then, one by one, the doctors are frightfully killed as they prepare for bed. Suspecting Ingston, Dick and Police Captain Beggs confront him in his room, but discover he is not paralyzed but a quadruple amputee. Suspicion then falls on Lawrie, who was last seen driving a murdered ex-employee of the household back to town, but he, too, winds up dead.Ultimately, Dick confronts the killer outside the estate as he menaces Lynn, and discovers it is Ingston after all: by studying under Agar Singh, he has learned how to materialize arms and legs, hands and feet for himself, long enough to accomplish his evil deeds. As Dick struggles with him to the death, Margaret sets fire to the unholy house, committing suicide while taking the malevolent Miss Judd with her. As the house burns to the ground, Dick and Lynn are saved by Agar Singh, when Singh shoots Ingston. -Wiki

Love the movie Ironman? Or your childhood tv show The Six Million Dollar Man? Well, I recently met an entrepreneur who’s building a futuristic technology by recruiting a genius team. And his story inspired me. Coincident with founding his previous company, Drew Perkins developed cataracts in his eyes. He underwent cataract surgery to implant advanced Intraocular Lenses (IOLs) in both eyes, essentially giving him bionic eyes. While his new bionic eyes gave him perfect vision near & far, they still had some deficiencies. So, he decided to start a company to solve the problem, not just for himself, but for millions of other people in the world. He founded Mojo Vision with exactly that goal: to give all people superpowers, even if they have impaired vision. His team is creating the Mojo Lens, the first true Smart Contact Lens. The Mojo Lens will help people struggling with low vision by projecting enhanced image overlays onto their retinas. It provides real-time contrast & lighting enhancements as well as zoom functionality and other low vision aids. It remains discreet for the wearer and allows a hands-free experience, while delivering enhanced functional vision to assist in mobility & reading. The Mojo Lens has a built-in display that also gives its wearer useful & timely information without forcing them to look down at a screen or losing focus on the people and the world around them. Mojo calls this eyes-up experience Invisible Computing, a platform that enables information to be instantaneous, unobtrusive and available hands-free. People can interact with each other more freely and genuinely. Ironman, indeed. To scale Mojo Vision, Drew raised $150M in venture capital from NEA, Liberty Global Ventures, Helios Capital, Khosla Ventures, HP Tech Ventures, 8VC, and others. No surprise. Drew is no amateur. Gainspeed, his previous startup, changed the game for cable operators & was acquired by Nokia. Drew co-founded Infinera, which developed the first optical system based on large-scale photonic integrated circuits, before its IPO in 2007. He was co-founder of telecommunications service provider OnFiber Communications, which brought high-bandwidth fiber-based data services to small & medium-sized businesses. OnFiber was acquired by Qwest Communications. Drew co-founded Lightera Networks, which developed the CoreDirector optical switching platform. Lightera was acquired by Ciena Corporation. Along the way, he’s built incredible teams to execute on his futuristic visions. In this 20-minute conversation, Drew explains how & why he does it.

In my childhood there was no love at all, and punishment like crazy…We, my twin brother and I were unwanted kids that even had been in the first 3 months in quarantine… love and mother's milk was never an option! I got used to it and my heart was closed so that I could not feel so much… Still in my heart was the longing for love…After a very turbulent life until 25 years I was still alive… I had faced quite often the death… Still, I was afraid of women or better to be rejected by women… I changed my life from the focus to be successful to be happy… In the previous episodes, I told from my Tantra groups and from experience love in these groups. After the Tantra I group, I attended a Reiki workshop and there our love story started…Evelyn was 24 years old and I was 26 years… We were both students. She had made a lot of Tantra before and was in a broken relationship. She looked desperately for a new great love and so we both fitted ideal together.    Our goal was total surrender to that unknown person and got the unknown...Tantra is using the sex to discover the love and the sex is just only the vehicle, in reality sex is not important for the spirit. If you give the Soul what it wants that means - Love and the body what it needs - Sex, you can go much deeper into the love… because the sex is not anymore, an obstacle it is the drive to go deeper and deeper in love…First, we were giving us Reiki and it became much more. We were sitting in the lotus position (male is sitting on the ground, crossed legs, and the woman is sitting on the lab of the male) with the cloth on for hours… nothing more… no sex just to feel the other person, your own emotions, and let it happen as it happen. After some time, the emotions breaking out, be it sadness, anger or huge love… Everything was and is okay… For sure we had also awesome sex together… We could feel each other even at 1000km distance. Love has no border… Our love grew and it became hell and heaven… Every day it became harder to endure our feelings, often I was so desperate…. Was our love not total craziness, … For what is all these suffering good? Nothing made sense, but to give up… No way!We both got very high spiritual experience and God showed up and was waiting for me. I was a stout atheist and got never baptized….After 9.5 weeks our love ended…. And then a love video with this title 9.5 weeks we're running in the cinema… Coincident? My whole life changed I could feel bliss everywhere… Is not madness much better than all these wise words? My Video: Episode 17 the greatest love? https://youtu.be/vO7zLGlW1b8My Audio:  https://rudizimmerer.s3-ap-southeast-1.amazonaws.com/6/Episode+16+the+greatest+love.mp3Enable GingerCannot connect to Ginger Check your internet connection or reload the browserDisable in this text fieldEditEdit in GingerEdit in Ginger×

Abstract: The emergence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus and subsequent COVID-19 pandemic initiated intense research into the mechanisms of action for this virus. It was quickly noted that COVID-19 presents more seriously in conjunction with other human disease conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and lung diseases. We conducted a bioinformatics analysis of COVID-19 comorbidity-associated gene sets, identifying genes and pathways shared among the comorbidities, and evaluated current knowledge about these genes and pathways as related to current information about SARS-CoV-2 infection. We performed our analysis using GeneWeaver (GW), Reactome, and several biomedical ontologies to represent and compare common COVID-19 comorbidities. Phenotypic analysis of shared genes revealed significant enrichment for immune system phenotypes and for cardiovascular-related phenotypes, which might point to alleles and phenotypes in mouse models that could be evaluated for clues to COVID-19 severity. Through pathway analysis, we identified enriched pathways shared by comorbidity datasets and datasets associated with SARS-CoV-2 infection. Copy rights belong to original authors. Abstract: The impact of GABAergic transmission on neuronal excitability depends on the Cl--gradient across membranes. However, the Cl--fluxes through GABAA receptors alter the intracellular Cl- concentration ([Cl-]i) and in turn attenuate GABAergic responses, a process termed ionic plasticity. Recently it has been shown that coincident glutamatergic inputs significantly affect ionic plasticity. Yet how the [Cl-]i changes depend on the properties of glutamatergic inputs and their spatiotemporal relation to GABAergic stimuli is unknown. To investigate this issue, we used compartmental biophysical models of Cl- dynamics simulating either a simple ball-and-stick topology or a reconstructed immature CA3 neuron. These computational experiments demonstrated that glutamatergic co-stimulation enhances GABA receptor-mediated Cl- influx at low and attenuates or reverses the Cl- efflux at high initial [Cl-]i. The size of glutamatergic influence on GABAergic Cl--fluxes depends on the conductance, decay kinetics, and localization of glutamatergic inputs. Surprisingly, the glutamatergic shift in GABAergic Cl--fluxes is invariant to latencies between GABAergic and glutamatergic inputs over a substantial interval. In agreement with experimental data, simulations in a reconstructed CA3 pyramidal neuron with physiological patterns of correlated activity revealed that coincident glutamatergic synaptic inputs contribute significantly to the activity-dependent [Cl-]i changes. Whereas the influence of spatial correlation between distributed glutamatergic and GABAergic inputs was negligible, their temporal correlation played a significant role. In summary, our results demonstrate that glutamatergic co-stimulation had a substantial impact on ionic plasticity of GABAergic responses, enhancing the destabilization of GABAergic inhibition in the mature nervous systems, but suppressing GABAergic [Cl-]i changes in the immature brain. Therefore, glutamatergic shift in GABAergic Cl--fluxes should be considered as a relevant factor of short term plasticity. Copy rights belong to original authors. Visit the link for more info

Zion Lights Zion Lights is a formally trained science communicator, author of a carefully researched book titled The Ultimate Guide to Green Parenting, and an experienced environmental activist who worked for a year as a spokesperson for Extinction Rebellion. About a month ago, she began openly advocating for an expansion of nuclear energy as a major tool in the battle to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Her conversion wasn't sudden, she spent about a decade independently learning about the value of nuclear energy. Even after she had decided that nuclear was far safer and more important than she had been taught to believe, she was careful about openly advocating for the technology. That was something that just wasn't done by her peers and close associates. While still a member of the Green Party, she realized that curiosity about nuclear energy was almost taboo. That realization led her to almost immediately leave the party because she did not understand why such an important topic could not even be discussed. With a growing sense of unease about the directions taken by some of her fellow members of Extinction Rebellion, Zion decided to leave the organization. Coincident with her separation from XR, she and Michael Shellenberger had several widely separated conversations. Eventually she accepted Shellenberger's offer to become director of a newly-formed UK branch of Environmental Progress. Zion and Michael have determined that the UK is an important center of nuclear energy industrial development. She is bringing her experience, education and passion to the task of spreading good news about nuclear power. We had a wide ranging discussion about her journey from a firmly entrenched member of the Green Party, activist environmental organizations and even an environmental alarmist to become a vocal proponent of using nuclear fission to enable clean prosperity. Please join in the discussion and welcome Zion Lights to the community of pro-nuclear advocates and technological optimists.

The title may sound, harsh and paranoid but if you bear with me. I will present to you several arguments which make you think. An immediate question then raises. Is it a damn coincident or intentionally tailored virus? The conclusion is up to you, I only offer logical assumptions and facts, I do not offer a conclusion for you. My belief is that everyone has got a mind with the power of deduction. Cognitive abilities are different between every individual of course. Some of you are sherlock holms and some others maybe Dr. Watson. The fact remains that both groups can deduct and conclude, and I see no reason to make this conclusion for you. [...]

Why God elects to strike Miriam [sharply or forcefully] in such prejudicial way and over a trivial sibling's matter. Is the bible speaking about the cosmic creator, or of a fictional contrivance ? (1) In the holy bible,  Numbers 12: 9 - 10 it is written; " And the anger of the Lord was kindled against them; and he departed. And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow : and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and behold she was leprous."  (2) Is it a coincidence, God made man "prelate" over woman--as is obvious in the original curse, Jesus' 12 disciples and Miriam.

We have analyzed the cell cycle parameters of interstitial cells in Hydra oligactis. Three subpopulations of cells with short, medium, and long cell cycles were identified. Short-cycle cells are stem cells; medium-cycle cells are precursors to nematocyte differentiation; long-cycle cells are precursors to gamete differentiation. We have also determined the effect of different cell densities on the population doubling time, cell cycle length, and cell size of interstitial cells. Our results indicate that decreasing the interstitial cell density from 0.35 to 0.1 interstitial cells/epithelial cell (1) shortens the population doubling time from 4 to 1.8 days, (2) increases the [3H]thymidine labeling index from 0.5 to 0.75 and shifts the nuclear DNA distribution from G2 to S phase cells, and (3) decreases the length of G2 in stem cells from 6 to 3 hr. The shortened cell cycle is correlated with a significant decrease in the size of interstitial stem cells. Coincident with the shortened cell cycle and increased growth rate there is an increase in stem cell self-renewal and a decrease in stem cell differentiation.
