Many people say they have a book inside them, but few actually take the time to write it. Writing a book is a great way to build a personal brand and authority and make a name for yourself. But it takes a lot of work to write a book. So why even do it?This week, I caught up with Anna David, a New York Times best-selling author of not one but eight different books. She also runs a company, Legacy Launch Pad Publishing. Her company helps people build authority and, in some cases, reach The New York Times bestseller list. Anna made the point that whether you're writing a book or working with a ghostwriter, asking yourself a few questions before starting on page one is helpful. For example:What is my book about? Who is my book for? And what does success look like? That's an exercise I undertook a couple of years ago when I started writing and self-publishing books. Once I understood what the book was about, it immediately gave me some constraints to work within. In this episode, we discuss the following:The process of identifying what success looks like for you.The importance of understanding your ideal reader. How to motivate yourself to finish that book!Resources:Anna's websiteSupport the showIf you enjoyed the show please leave a review on Apple. Anna David is the Founder of Legacy Launch Pad Publishing, a company that publishes books for seven-figure entrepreneurs. She is an eight-time New York Times best-selling author who's been writing and publishing books for decades and hosts the On Good Authority Podcast. Anna has done TED Talks and has been on Good Morning America, Today, The Talk, and dozens of other programs. In this episode… Want to establish yourself as an authority in your industry? Have you considered doing so by writing and publishing a book? According to Anna David, you can build your business with a book. One key point to note is that the various challenges of book publishing often require help from experts — especially if you've never published a book before. However, many publishing companies promise the world but fail to deliver, leaving authors with subpar books and a sense of regret — as was the case for Anna. After decades in the traditional publishing world, she created a publishing company to help brilliant business owners write and launch authority-establishing books that leave a legacy. Listen to this episode of the Inspired Insider Podcast with Dr. Jeremy Weisz as he welcomes Anna David, the Founder of Legacy Launch Pad Publishing. She also explains the path to book publication, common mistakes people make, and tips for launching your book and creating a lasting legacy.

In this episode of Your Permission Prescription, I talk with Emmy nominated video and visibility expert, Tracy Phillips. We discuss the importance of video content as a marketing tool, how to connect with your audience, and how you can become more confident on camera.
We've said it before, but getting published in magazines and other industry publications has been one of the biggest game changers for our agency in terms of leads we've received, sales we've closed, and authority we've built. It's been the single most important thing that has set our brand apart from other agencies in the space. It's a topic we've considered doing for a while. Getting articles published in niche magazines and publications is one of Jake's unique talents. Whether it's an SEO publication, a lawn and landscape magazine for Evergrow, or even a restaurant industry magazine for a specific client, finding the right people to send the pitch to and crafting the right message comes naturally to him. In this episode, Jake recaps the difference between guest posting and contributing to an actual publication while breaking down his exact steps for reaching the right person at a publication and getting them to publish your article. The shortlist of the steps covered here are: Figure out which publications you want to be in Pitch easier publications first and build a reputation Search for a contribution page Research their guidelines Find the editing team and their contacts Reach out to the right editor Pitch (or supply) the article Leave out the sales and promotional content Give exclusivity Follow up, follow up, follow up Want a list of publications Jake has been featured in? This is the main focus of the Amani Experience, a successful podcast that features all things music, business, and brand growth. Listen to today's episode of the One Big Tip podcast so you can learn more about expanding your business via podcasts.Amani Roberts is the founder of The Amani Experience, a luxury music entertainment company. Since 2008, Amani Roberts has traveled the globe, providing memorable musical experiences for thousands of people at corporate events, weddings, private parties, and video dj'ing. He is a professionally trained DJ and an adjunct professor at California State University. His podcast, the Amani Experience on Twitch University, educates companies and solopreneurs on growth potential. Amani tends to stick to the Twitch platform instead of others due to its broad reach and live streaming capabilities. That's where he hosts game shows and puts up videos of his live DJ events. He also hosts live game shows on Twitch. The live game show is a niche that grew out of the pandemic. Today it is a way for companies relying on zoom for meetings, events, and workshops to break up the time and entertain their team. With most companies using a hybrid model, going live during a workshop or seminar is the sweet spot. Going live enables you to captivate your audience and keep them entertained. Live podcasting also creates unique opportunities for lead generation. Twitch is an excellent platform as it has a global reach and will enable you to connect with people who would otherwise, never hear of your brand. Amani uses podcasts to create three types of lead generation value. The first is getting your audience to the platform you are broadcasting live on and then getting their email address by offering a value prop. This allows you to connect with them daily, weekly or monthly. The second type of lead generation you gain with podcasts is if someone listening to your podcast decides they want to hire you based on the exposure you gained from the live stream. The third type of lead generation is being top of mind. Through podcasting, you stay at the forefront of your audience's mind, so when they need your services, they think of you and your brand. Today, the best way to create brand awareness and increase authority is to use podcasting. By airing your podcast live on a streaming platform, you can reach people around the globe. Not all platforms are created equal. Linkedin, for example, when you post life, it stays on your account. Viewers can always refer back to it. They can re-watch it when it's convenient for them. People try to tune in when you offer a live component to your podcast. It's a way to share your process with your audience. They see that you are authentic, and they can connect with you. Those are the things that drive your brand awareness and give your brand or company authority in your field. Podcasts generate hundreds of pieces of content from a short 20-minute podcast or live stream. Having the ability to repurpose content is a great investment for your business. Using the repurposed content across all platforms creates consistent branding for your company, so your audience will know where to find you and find you easily. Connections are key. This is especially true when it comes to networking, developing a following, or creating a brand. In this episode, I have the pleasure of speaking with Travis Chappell, founder of Guestio and the Build Your Network podcast. While reaching out to people is inherently fraught with rejection, it is how businesses receive new clients and how podcasts book guests. Travis has spent years creating intentional and thoughtful relationships and he shares a few basic networking principles with us today, along with the story of how he got started. In this episode, we'll cover: - Name dropping works. When you're networking and setting up interviews, you just need one well-connected person to give you a chance. This will open up the door to new contacts within the same industry. - Travis' new business, Guestio. A marketplace platform that connects podcasters, bloggers, and other content creators with the guests they need for their business. - Minimum Viable Products. Keeping your apps simple upon startup will save you time and money. - How focusing on credibility and authority when you're building your brand will generate loyal listeners. OVERVIEW: Jason A. Duprat, Entrepreneur, Healthcare Practitioner and Host of the Healthcare Entrepreneur Academy podcast talks about the importance of content marketing and social media marketing to increase engagement with your customers and awareness of your business. EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS: Jason has enrolled in a year-long online marketing course to learn more about digital marketing. Content Marketing Institute founder Joe Pulizzi popularized the 4-1-1 rule which allows you to add value, nurture your relationship with your followers and demonstrate authority without being overly pushy. Following the 4-1-1 rule, you should share six pieces of content each week. Four should be curated by you. So search out content and then summarize, adding your own thoughts as well. Many tools exist to help you find content, such as BuzzSumo, which crawls online content and puts it all in one spot. Google Alerts is another option (and it’s free) yet not as sophisticated as BuzzSumo. Google Alerts sends content to your inbox based on keywords. As part of your content marketing plan, one piece of content should be an original piece, where you answer common questions within your industry. And the final piece should be promotional. So only one piece of content each week should include a feature, module or bonus offer from you. The goal of the 4-1-1 rule is to nurture prospects and customers, and remain relevant. Jason invites listeners to share how they manage content and social media marketing via his two Facebook groups, one for online businesses and one for bricks & mortar businesses. Both are linked below. 3 KEY POINTS: Joe Pulizzi’s 4-1-1 content marketing rule includes four pieces of curated content, one original piece and one promotional piece shared each week. There are a variety of free and paid tools you can use to stay informed about the latest news and articles related to your industry. Content marketing marketing is about staying relevant to your audience and consistent with what your audience wants to read or learn about. The Naina Redhu Experience | Digital Marketing, Social Media, Online Brand Building in India
How do you get more potential clients as your followers? For a not so camera friendly person... Talking to the camera is similar to talking to another human being. If you can do the latter, then you can do the former. It's ok to fumble - it's ok to say "ooops" and not edit it out of the video. If still photographs and posing in them bothers you, do video. At the same time, you don't HAVE to be in front of the camera ALL the time. Maybe once a week - or even once a month. As a consumer, I want to know who is making the product / providing the service. I want to connect with other human beings. Purchasing a product / service, IMO, is usually need-based but if I can connect with you personally, I'm also likely to add the "connect-based" purchase to the "need-based". I'm more likely to buy from friends / acquaintances. You cannot force anyone to follow you or buy from you. Most won't even follow you, let alone buy from you. If you can't even say "Hello!" first then how can you expect someone to say hello back to you? Your art deserves being put in front of the world - if that means putting yourself in front of the world, do it. You don't have to be "friends" with the camera. The camera is just one tool to help you make friends with real people. @mess.merize_insta Can you recommend a good tripod for DSLR cameras? No. There are too many factors that determine such a purchase & I will need to know more before I can comment. Here are some criteria to think of when looking for a tripod : are you shooting indoors or outdoors? If outdoors, buy something that's heavy ( and will be more expensive than an indoor tripod ). Are you using it for regular photography work for clients or only for your own daily needs for things like Instagram etc? If latter, then buy any cheap ( Rs. 1,500 ) tripod to get started - you will need a counterweight to help balance the weight of the camera - how big is the DSLR? Are you going to need to shoot flatlays? Then get a tripod with a "ball head" so that you can hang the camera any which way you like. Swipe up to read about 10 different tripod head types. https://tripodyssey.com/different-tripod-head-types-for-photography-video/?source=naina.co Yes. Those are just the tripod "head" types. Right now, because of COVID19, not a lot of tripods are available to buy anyway. Sorry. @puregheedesigns Hi, I really admire your work and especially your work ethic. Just wanted to know what laptop you use. Mine is 3 years and 10 days old. Ordered it on 10th July 2017 for Rs. 1.2L. Asus Zenbook Pro UX501JW-XS73 15.6 Inch Ultrabook (Aluminum) Intel Core i7-4720HQ 2.6GHz 16GB DDR3 512GB SSD GTX960M USB3.0 Windows 10 Professional. This is obviously not available right now. Swipe up to see the one that I would be interested in right now : Rs. 2.5L depending on the features you decide to get. https://amzn.to/30m7ani @mahi.kadyan What is your strategy in growing your brand? If I could fit the answer in one Instagram story, I wouldn't have entrepreneurs signing up for my workshops and hiring me for consulting calls :P As always, I start with #GoalKyaHai. Different approaches for different goals. I wanted to sleep well at night, have time to spend with my family & friends, and I wanted to do the things I love. I didn't necessarily want to be a millionaire. I wasn't particularly interested in "legacy". My brand dies with me. I wanted to be able to experiment and have fun. Everything I do, is aligned with these things and that's how I grow my brand. Whatever I do : photos / videos / what I write / blog etc. is coming from a place of me wanting to continue with my goals. Make & Capture. Plan & Publish. Engage & Listen. Establish Authority. Re-look at #GoalKyaHai. Repeat. Always learning / adapting / changing my mind. @neerr.shahh What are the hardware elements needed to start a podcast? A mobile phone with a camera. That's literally what I've used for a hundred episodes of my podcast!

As ecommerce sellers we ultimately want to be seen. That's why we spend ungodly chunks of money on Amazon PPC, Facebook ads, and Google Adwords and Shopping. But what happens if those paid traffic channels become unavailable? Christian Gravel of Grower Scrog Nets is facing this problem. He has developed a product that helps people grow good cannabis more easily in their homes, and with more states legalizing cannabis, it seems like a viable product. However, marketing for products in this niche is very challenging as there's not exactly a Facebook audience fit for it. On top of that, ad platforms like Facebook and Youtube regulate ads for this niche very heavily. Building authority in his niche is essential if he wants to be seen, especially since paid ads is not an option. In this episode Christian and I discuss how to most effectively do this. You'll learn: How to get people to spread the word for you What the ultimate purpose of every blog post should be How to practice writing overwhelmingly great content The 6 essential parts of a great blog post Christian and first I met when he joined the 5 Minute Pitch. How do you establish authority in your field? I don’t care whether that’s internet authority, or workplace authority, or as a business expert. Learn to become a recognized authority One quick note just before I get into the episode. As soon as I finished the episode, within two hours I ran into two different situations, two different people (not related) both claiming authority, talking about it as if they have it, and I know they don’t. They couldn’t answer some of the very basic questions. So, be careful, make sure that whatever you’re doing, whoever you’re listening to is not somebody who’s just selling it and their career is based on selling you that product, but that they’ve actually done it. If it’s a coach, somebody who is successful in business over and over again in companies, etc., not somebody who just decided that they don’t have a job, or somebody who’s selling something that’s supposed to be performing. Make sure you see things that they’ve done. Now to the episode. How to Establish Authority Today I want to discuss how to establish authority. Clearly, the more you’re approached or have the presence of authority, the better your position, the better your following, the more money you’re going to make, the more satisfaction you’re going to have, and the family you have will have in you. OK, now, how do you establish authority in your field? I don’t care whether that’s internet authority, or workplace authority, or as a business expert. The idea is that you are regarded as the go-to person or highly regarded, the key is: Without saying it. First of all, you’ve got to get to the point where you can develop the confidence, that is you stand tall and you don’t categorize yourself, you’re driven. You don’t say that you’re an expert. You have to have it reach out from you, from what you’re doing, what you’re saying, and how you’re acting to be recognized and thought of as that expert. That is you demonstrate it and you let other people say it. Don’t say it yourself. Some of the things you do is make sure that when there are topics or things that are being done, you make the topic of conversation, that is that you have and develop the innovative ideas that are the discussion. You don’t want to just be part of the group or in the discussion. That’s not going to do enough. Just being that is just being one of the masses, one of the people, which can be a wonderful thing if that’s what you want. But if you want to be recognized as an authority, how do you get it and how do you separate yourself so that you’re appreciated and recognized? First, while I say don’t say it, do acknowledge your accomplishments, whatever they are. You don’t state them, but you do acknowledge them. Thank the other person for stating it or something. Join with an associate, with other leaders in your field, you both learn from them as mentors. Think back to the chapter in the book, but also that episode where I discussed your five friends, the people closest to you, and how your family, friends, and acquaintances can actually be harmful to you. Why? You want to establish that broader reach of people who really are recognized, that you start to be recognized with them and then even amongst them. In order to do this, you’re going to have to do whatever it takes to get the knowledge that you need. In the next episode I’m going to be talking about mastering a topic, mastering a skill. It’s a little different than you’ve established, you know it, you’re very good, but you haven’t established an authority, that is that you’re not recognized. This assumes that you already really know the stuff, whatever the field, whatever the business is, but you want to be recognized for it. Just think about it. If you’re recognized in your field or in your expertise, that means you’re more in demand, everything from your pay to your happiness is going to be increased. It also means, though, in order to do this, because it’s not static,
