Formed in 2002, the band draws heavily from the classic pop-punk tradition of bands like Screeching Weasel, The Queers, and Dillinger Four. Over the years, they've released a steady run of albums packed with short, energetic songs that balance humor, frustration, and everyday life. They've built a loyal following through years of touring and appearances at punk festivals like The Fest in Gainesville. More than two decades in, The Copyrights remain a dependable part of the DIY punk scene, delivering catchy punk rock without trying to reinvent the wheel. For many in London, the Tara Yoga Center seemed a friendly, welcoming environment for those seeking spiritual enlightenment. However, they would have no idea that its larger organization, MISA, was founded by an international criminal wanted for crimes related to sex trafficking, sexual coercion, and cult practices. His name was Gregorian Bivolaru, and for decades, he used his status as a spiritual guru to recruit young women for his own sexual pleasure and hold them in sex slavery to enrich his organization.ButcherBox: High-quality proteins without the stress of shopping  https://butcherbox.com/milehigher for $20 OFF as well as FREE ground beef for life, or chicken thighs/top sirloin for a year!Boll & Branch: Cooler summer nights with  https://bollandbranch.com and use code MILEHIGHER at checkout for 15% OFF your purchase!StitchFix: Style made simple with https://stitchfix.com/milehigher and start shopping your new style today!Nanit Monitors: Get started with the best baby monitoring system at https://www.nanit.com to start building your system out!Intro 0:00The Bare Bones 10:34"Grieg" and His Early Life 13:17Forming the Cult 33:33Kicking Down the Doors 43:23Miranda's Experience 53:51Ashleigh's Story 1:11:09Convicted 1:23:05Final Thoughts & Outro 1:30:17Mile Higher Media website: https://milehigher.com/ Higher Hope Foundation: https://www.higherhope.org/ Mile Higher Merch: http://milehighermerch.comCheck out our other podcasts! The Sesh https://bit.ly/3Mtoz4XLights Out https://bit.ly/3n3GaoePlanet Sleep https://linktr.ee/planetsleepJoin our official FB group! https://bit.ly/3kQbAxgMHP YouTube: http://bit.ly/2qaDWGfAre you subscribed to Apple Podcasts & Spotify?!Support MHP by leaving a rating or review on Apple Podcast :) https://apple.co/2H4kh58MHP Topic Request Form: https://forms.gle/gUeTEzL9QEh4Hqz88You can follow us on all the things: @milehigherpodInstagram: http://www.instagram.com/milehigherpodYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@MileHigherHosts:Kendall: @kendallraeonytIG: http://instagram.com/kendallraeonytYT: https://www.youtube.com/c/kendallsplaceJosh: @milehigherjoshIG: http://www.instagram.com/milehigherjoshProducers:Janelle: @janelle_fields_IG: https://www.instagram.com/janelle_fields_/Ian: @ifarmeIG: https://www.instagram.com/ifarme/Tom: @cinematomgrapherIG: https://www.instagram.com/cinematomgrapher/Podcast sponsor inquiries: adops@audioboom.com✉ Send Us Mail ✉Kendall Rae & Josh Thomas 8547 E Arapahoe Rd Ste J # 233Greenwood Village, CO 80112Music By: Mile Higher BoysYT: https://bit.ly/2Q7N5QOSpotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/0F4ik...Sources: https://pastebin.com/zDp5FJCp

In this episode, Colonel Chevasco “Chevy” Cook sits down with MWI's Charlie Faint to recount a career that took him from a South Carolina JROTC classroom to West Point and then on to combat deployments, the psychological operations career field, academia, and ultimately the Joint Staff, where he advised senior national security leaders on nonkinetic effects. Chevy reflects on how early mentors, wartime service, and unconventional assignments taught him to see military problems from increasingly broader perspectives, describing his philosophy that luck is really the combination of preparation and opportunity. He discusses the distinctive role of psychological operations, where influence and communication can accomplish national-level missions without relying on lethal force, as well as his work integrating capabilities such as cyber, space, deception, and information operations to provide strategic options for national leaders. The conversation also explores his commitment to education, professional writing, character development, and mentorship, including his belief that leaders must be capable communicators and continually level up as their responsibilities grow. Chevy closes by encouraging young leaders to understand who they authentically are without allowing their present identity to limit who they can become, emphasizing a career-long theme of preparation, intellectual growth, service, and investment in others. Novelist Aruni Kashyap joins co-hosts V.V. Ganeshananthan and Jennifer Maritza McCauley to talk about the surprising surge of a new youth movement in India. Kashyap, the author of a new novel, How to Date a Fanatic, about young queer academics navigating the Indian campus protests of the mid-2010s, explains how the Chief Justice of India likening unemployed youth to “cockroaches and parasites” has prompted the rise of a wildly popular satirical group. He shares the history of the Cockroach Janta Party or Cockroach People's Party, whose followers now number in the millions and whose political demands have become well known. Kashyap discusses those demands and the historical significance of campus politics in India, considers how a satirical organization is pushing real reform, and recalls his own experiences with campus protests in India, where he grew up and previously taught. Kashyap reflects on writing about political violence, love, and queer life in India. An IDF social media video appeared to advise ultra-Orthodox Israelis facing military draft enforcement on how to avoid arrest at Ben Gurion Airport — and it was quickly deleted. In this episode of Israel Daily News, Shanna Fuld breaks down the controversy surrounding the now-deleted IDF video ahead of the annual Rosh Hashanah pilgrimage to Uman, Ukraine. The video reportedly used an AI character called “Dudy the Explainer” to explain how draft evaders could avoid being detained at the airport. The controversy comes as Israel's long-running battle over Haredi military service intensifies and new legislation has left some pilgrimage-bound Israelis facing draft-evader status. Shanna also examines the growing security tensions in Judea and Samaria, including the strategic significance of the proposed E1 settlement expansion, British pressure over Israeli settlements, and warnings about settler violence. Meanwhile, election season is heating up. Gadi Eisenkot is calling a two-state solution “delusional” following October 7th while simultaneously criticizing the E1 expansion as a strategic mistake. He also takes aim at Ministers Bezalel Smotrich and Itamar Ben-Gvir over settler violence. The episode also looks back at the 2014 Gaza war, including reports of secret direct back-channel contacts between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Hamas through intermediary Shlomi Fogel — contacts that Netanyahu's office and Fogel have denied. Plus, Shanna speaks about Tal Goldstein-Almog, a young survivor of Hamas captivity, and highlights his interview with Australian journalist Erin Molan. And in a cultural tribute, Shanna remembers Dolly Parton and the extraordinary impact of her Imagination Library, including its connection to PJ Library and Israel's Sifriyat Pijama program. The episode also remembers Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama, including her acclaimed 2021 exhibition at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art. Finally, Rabbi Yossi Madvig explores this week's Torah portion, Ki Tavo, discussing light and darkness, the Messianic era, and the difference between the afterlife and the “world to come.” In this episode: • The controversial IDF video for draft evaders • Why the IDF deleted the video • The Haredi military draft crisis • The Rosh Hashanah pilgrimage to Uman • Airport enforcement and draft evaders • Rising tensions in Judea and Samaria • The E1 settlement expansion plan • British pressure over Israeli settlements • Gadi Eisenkot's election campaign • Israel's upcoming elections • IDF operations against October 7th attackers • Tal Goldstein-Almog and his experience in captivity • Reports of secret Netanyahu-Hamas contacts in 2014 • Israel Daily News' independent journalism • Rosh Hashanah gifts from Israeli artists • Dolly Parton's global legacy and PJ Library • Yayoi Kusama's legacy in Israel • Torah thought with Rabbi Yossi Madvig Support independent journalism: Israel Daily News is independently produced and does not work for the Israeli government. Remember when the internet was fun?Not useful. Not safe. Definitely not well designed. But fun.We kick things off with the absolutely bonkers financial numbers coming out of OnlyFans, including the reported $30 billion paid to creators since launch and $6.3 billion paid out in 2025 alone. Sounds like everybody should immediately quit their jobs, right?Well, maybe hang onto that health insurance. The show crunches another number: out of roughly 5 million registered creator accounts, only 5,076 have earned more than $1 million on the platform. Suddenly the “easy money” plan starts looking suspiciously like every other entertainment career.Naturally, this becomes a discussion about celebrity OnlyFans accounts, what exactly people are paying for, whether there's a male market for the platform, and the apparently untapped economic potential of vacuuming your house without a shirt on.Business school, but worse. Then the funny podcast nostalgia machine kicks into gear as Riz asks everybody to remember the websites and apps from the early days of the internet.MySpace. Napster. GeoCities. eBaum's World. ICQ. Strong Bad. Fark. The Chive. Chatroulette.Especially Chatroulette.Rafe perfectly describes the difference between Russian roulette and Chatroulette: Russian roulette gives you one bad chamber out of six. Chatroulette basically reversed those odds. The crew remembers AOL chat rooms, asking strangers “ASL?”, making actual friends online before anybody's parents understood what was happening, and the glorious period when the internet felt like a collection of weird little neighborhoods instead of six giant companies demanding that you accept cookies.Moon also takes us back to mp3.com and the early days of the internet changing the music business. Story of the Year's “Until the Day I Die” actually reached the top of the site's download rankings, beating massive songs from artists including Nelly, Eminem and Evanescence right before mp3.com disappeared. So technically Moon retired as champion. Please respect the belt. The nostalgia continues when the crew gets into Sony and PlayStation reminding consumers that digitally purchased games are licensed rather than truly owned. That means no physical copy sitting on the shelf, no lending your game to a buddy, no selling it later and fewer weird little pieces of physical media surviving long enough to show up in an antique shop 40 years from now.Which somehow leads directly into vintage Playboy magazines.Obviously.Rafe and Riz remember the old-school barbershops where guys sat around, dirty jokes flew freely, every haircut was basically the same haircut, everything smelled like Barbicide and there might just be a Playboy sitting in the waiting area.Rafe remembers the legendary six-dollar haircut at Tally's Barbershop in Du Quoin, Illinois, while the crew tries to determine whether “barbicide” sounds more like disinfectant or a felony committed against someone's hair. This funny podcast then shifts into Crap on Celebrities, where the crew covers Kiss selling its brand rights, developments surrounding the Tupac murder trial, Taylor Momsen joining surviving members of Soundgarden for an NFL halftime performance, upcoming comedy documentaries, Glenn Close defending Kim Kardashian, and the planned return of the Donnie Darko universe. That's also where Riz finally confesses something:He has never seen Donnie Darko. He has, however, apparently spent years pretending he has.Honestly, knowing there's a creepy bunny and an airplane engine is probably enough to fake your way through 80% of conversations about that movie. The entertainment rundown also includes Ryan Gosling producing a new live-action Flintstones project before Lern closes things out with a tribute to Dolly Parton—remembering her humor, philanthropy, Imagination Library, enormous generosity and ability to take criticism without ever losing sight of exactly who she was.And then comes the announcement Moon has been sitting on for years.Greek Fire is returning to the stage.Moon announces a headline show at Delmar Hall on Saturday, October 17—the band's first headline show in seven years. They'll play new material ahead of a larger release planned for next year, with Native Monster joining them and a portion of every ticket sold supporting Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital as part of the Rizz Show October fundraiser.Moon promises full-blown rock theater.Riz promises “hardness.”We were extremely close to ending this episode professionally. So there it is: OnlyFans economics, dead websites, sketchy chat rooms, mp3.com glory, digital ownership, vintage Playboys, barbershop jokes, entertainment gossip, Dolly Parton and Greek Fire finally returning.Another funny podcast that started with financial analysis and ended with Riz discussing hardness.Harvard Business Review could never.Follow The Rizzuto Show → linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → 1057thepoint.com/RizzShow.Hear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Dolly Parton, OnlyFans millions, the internet's sketchiest glory days, trailer park memories, a $50 million phone call, the return of Greek Fire, and grown adults getting absolutely dismantled by elementary-school math. Somehow, that's all one episode of The Rizzuto Show. The show starts on a more emotional note as the crew remembers Dolly Parton and the kindness, humor, generosity, and unmistakable personality that made her such a beloved icon. Unfortunately, Rizz had recently expressed concern about Dolly's health, which means listeners immediately dust off the completely scientific and legally airtight Rizz Show Curse and start blaming him. The emails arrive. The accusations fly. Rizz maintains his innocence. Nobody believes him.Lern shares what Dolly meant to her growing up, the crew revisits some of Dolly's funniest moments, and for a brief shining moment, The Rizzuto Show experiences genuine human emotion. Then we start talking about trailer parks.Because of course we do.After a mobile-home community gets unfairly dragged into headlines surrounding the arrest of 49ers owner Jed York, the crew clears up what actually happened—and that sends everybody barreling into stories about growing up around mobile homes. We get Rafe's single-wide childhood, homemade deer-skull decor, Lern's surprise taxidermied boar head, wood-burning stoves, freezing bedrooms, tornado shelters, questionable carpet, decks built onto decks, and enough rural engineering to make HGTV quietly leave the room. From there, things get even more sophisticated with toilet paper, padded toilet seats, an aggressively powerful handheld bidet, National Dog Day, dog breeds, genetically modified animals and the looming possibility that humanity will eventually build Jurassic Park despite having several movies explaining why we absolutely should not. Then it's time to discuss the modern economy.OnlyFans has reportedly paid creators $30 billion since launch, including billions in 2025 alone. Sounds like easy money—until the crew discovers just how tiny the percentage of million-dollar creators actually is. Naturally, this inspires an extremely serious business discussion about celebrity accounts, niche content, and whether there's an untapped market for shirtless men vacuuming their houses. Please do not put that idea into a business plan. The conversation then heads back to the simpler, uglier and significantly more dangerous internet of our youth: MySpace, Napster, mp3.com, GeoCities, eBaum's World, ICQ, AOL chat rooms, Fark, The Chive and Chatroulette—the website Rafe accurately describes as Russian roulette with considerably worse odds.Moon remembers Story of the Year hitting number one on mp3.com with “Until the Day I Die” before the site disappeared, and everybody remembers when the internet felt less like an algorithm trying to sell you something and more like a bunch of weird digital neighborhoods where nobody's parents had any idea what their children were doing.Which, in retrospect, was maybe not ideal. The nostalgia continues into physical media, old video games, vintage magazines, classic barbershops, and the slow realization that future antique stores might be pretty boring when everything we own is technically a license stored on a server somewhere. There's also entertainment gossip, Rizz admitting he's spent years pretending he's seen Donnie Darko, and then Moon drops the big announcement: Greek Fire is returning to the stage for its first headline show in seven years, with new music and a show at Delmar Hall. And because this daily comedy show still hasn't caused enough intellectual damage, we finish with the Rizz Quiz.First, the crew tackles a $50 million hypothetical: if someone offered you $50 million tax-free to call somebody right now, and you only get the money if they don't answer, who are you calling? The answer around the studio is basically King Scott.Congratulations, Scott. Your inability to answer a phone is finally an asset. Then callers take on 45 seconds of supposedly easy trivia. Colors. Animals. Geography. Third-to-fifth-grade math. The sort of questions every adult thinks they could answer until a timer starts ticking and suddenly 60 divided by 6 is zero, 8 times 4 is 36, 18 plus 22 is 50, and a dollar apparently contains 50 nickels. The Rizz Quiz remains undefeated. So this episode has everything: a heartfelt tribute to Dolly Parton, the Rizz Show Curse, trailer park vindication, taxidermy, dangerous bathroom equipment, OnlyFans economics, internet nostalgia, Chatroulette trauma, disappearing physical media, Greek Fire's return, a hypothetical $50 million payday, and basic arithmetic publicly humiliating grown adults. In other words, another completely normal episode of The Rizzuto Show.Come for the funny celebrity gossip and weird news. Stay for the St. Louis chaos, nostalgic stories, Rizz and the gang roasting each other, and the comforting knowledge that no matter how bad your day is going, at least you probably know that 60 divided by 6 is 10.Probably.Follow The Rizzuto Show → linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → 1057thepoint.com/RizzShow.Hear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Your connection to angels goes beyond receiving their guidance. It is part of who you are. Angel communicator, spiritual teacher, and author Alisha Das joins A Psychic's Story to explore the idea of angelic ancestry, including what it means to carry an angelic heritage, how we can discover our unique archangelic name, and how remembering our connection to the angelic realm can change the way we experience our human lives. Alisha shares how she began hearing angels and what she describes as the angelic language as a young child, eventually learning to reconcile those experiences with the deeply analytical and scientific perspective she developed growing up in a family of physicians. Together, Nichole and Alisha explore what it might mean to remember more of who we are beyond this physical life – and bring that awareness more fully into the one we're living now. In this episode, you'll hear: How Alisha began experiencing angels and hearing what she describes as the angelic language as a child.  How her scientific and analytical background shaped the way she learned to discern and trust spiritual experiences.  What Alisha means by angelic or archangelic ancestry and why she believes we may carry a connection to the angelic realm into human life.  What an archangelic name is, how someone can discover theirs, and why Alisha believes it can deepen connection to purpose and the angelic realm.  The relationship between angelic language and light language, and why Alisha believes this kind of spiritual connection is available to everyone.  How remembering our angelic nature may change the way we approach purpose, relationships, challenges, compassion, and everyday human life. What do you really want?According to the Gospel of John, that's the first question Jesus asks His would-be disciples:“What do you want?”In this reflection on Psalm 1, John Ortberg explores why that may be one of the most important questions we ever answer. Our lives have a way of organizing themselves around our deepest desires. How do you spend your time?Your money? What makes you angry? What are you willing to sacrifice for? Those things often reveal what we want more accurately than our words do.Psalm 1 gives us a picture of a different kind of life: a flourishing person, like a tree planted beside streams of water, with roots sunk deeply into God.And John closes with the remarkable story of Natan Sharansky, who spent years imprisoned in the Soviet Union and memorized the entire Book of Psalms. When he was finally released, Sharansky refused to cross the bridge to freedom until his captors returned his copy of the Psalms. What we fill our minds with matters.Because what fills our minds helps shape what we desire. So today, ask yourself:What do I really want? And:What am I filling my mind with?In this episode:The first question Jesus asks in John's GospelHow our lives reveal what we actually wantPsalm 1 and the meaning of “blessed”What biblical flourishing looks likeThe tree planted beside streams of waterWhy invisible roots matterThe progression of walking, standing and sittingWhy Psalm 1 isn't a formula for easy circumstancesHow inner goodness crowds out envy and greedNatan Sharansky's remarkable storyHow the Psalms sustained him through Soviet imprisonmentWhy what we fill our minds with shapes our livesScriptures: John 1:35–38 • Psalm 1 • Acts 20:35 • Matthew 7:12#Psalm1 #JohnOrtberg #Psalms #Jesus #SpiritualFormation #Flourishing #BibleStudy #ChristianFaith #Prayer #NatanSharansky

Episode Description: Over 21 million women in the United States are dealing with bacterial vaginosis right now. Most of them have never told a single person. Not their doctor, not their closest friend, not their partner. Because somewhere along the way we decided this was not something we talk about. Today we will talk about it. Danielle spent five years cycling through antibiotics, specialists, Reddit rabbit holes, and remedies that did not work. When she finally told her then new boyfriend Hans, he did not run. He asked how he could help. Hans happened to come from a family that had been manufacturing dietary supplements for 30 years. What came out of that conversation became Happy V, a vaginal probiotic that does not just feed the good bacteria but hunts down the bad ones. Danielle and Hans break it down — in order: Take 1: "Antibiotics eliminate all the bacteria — and then it comes right back" Danielle explains why the standard treatment for BV sets women up for a revolving cycle of reinfection. She breaks down what is actually happening in the vaginal microbiome and why the conventional approach keeps missing the root cause. Take 2: "The shame around BV is destroying relationships" From new couples to long marriages, BV is ending intimacy and keeping women isolated in embarrassment. Hans and Danielle share what that conversation looked like for them and why having it honestly changed everything. Take 3: "Not all probiotics are the same and most gummies are basically useless" Hans pulls back the curtain on how the supplement industry actually works and why most probiotic products on the shelf cannot deliver what they promise. He explains what three things a label has to show before a probiotic is worth buying. Take 4: "Probiotics hate water, acid, and heat — which is everything a gummy is made of" This one will make you look at your cabinet differently. Hans explains exactly why the gummy format destroys the very bacteria you are trying to consume and what format actually protects them. Take 5: "Give it time — anyone telling you this works overnight is lying to you" Dietary supplements are not magic and the marketing around vaginal health is especially aggressive. Danielle and Hans give the honest timeline and explain what patience actually looks like when you have the right product. In this episode, you'll discover:  • Why recurring BV is not a hygiene problem, what is actually driving the imbalance, and why the antibiotic cycle keeps women stuck instead of healed  • How to read a probiotic label and what three things the International Probiotic Association says must be present for a product to actually be legitimate  • Why the vaginal microbiome is one of the most undertreated areas of women's health and how an imbalanced pH affects everything from intimacy to confidence to daily comfort This one is for every woman who has suffered in silence and every partner who wants to understand. All Home Care Matters and our host, Lance A. Slatton were honored to welcome Katrina Love Prescott back to the show as our guest.   About Katrina Love Prescott, Writer/Director/Producer:   Katrina Love Prescott is a caregiver advocate, coach, and media producer based in Vancouver. She spent a decade in commercial TV production in New York before returning to Vancouver, where caregiving for her mother pulled her into a new line of work. She co-founded Care Nation Society, a nonprofit supporting caregivers, and Sunny Love Productions, and created Things Not to Say to a Caregiver and Therapeutic Fibbing to give caregivers real tools instead of platitudes. She advises organizations such as UBC, Vancouver Coastal Health, Providence Health Care, York University, and the BC Office of the Seniors Advocate.   In 2023 she won the Caregiver Advocacy Award from the Canadian Centre for Caregiving Excellence. Through Care Nation, she's building healthcare systems and community that actually work for people with chronic illness and the caregivers holding it together.    About Sunny Love Productions:   Change the Story. Change the World.    Jess and Katrina bring decades of experience in scripted, unscripted, and commercial production. We're impact creators — our expertise is listening to people, understanding complex issues, and turning them into stories that resonate and move people to act.   Every frame, every word is built to make the invisible visible — because the truth, told well, is more powerful than any campaign.    About "Things Not to Say to a Caregiver":   When someone says the wrong thing to a caregiver, a no-nonsense Care-y Godmother freezes the scene, educates the unintentional offender, and rewrites the moment — one caregiving crisis at a time.   Things Not to Say to a Caregiver is a comedic web series that tackles the awkward, misguided things people say to caregivers — and how we can do better. Each episode, a no-nonsense Care-y Godmother freezes the offender mid-fumble, delivers the reality check they didn't know they needed, and rewrites the moment into something actually helpful. Blending sketch comedy with real caregiving insight, TNTS turns cringeworthy into teachable moments — and reminds us that the right words can change everything

The Bible is more than a collection of verses or helpful principles. It is God's true Word and the unfolding story of creation, rebellion, redemption, and restoration. As we learn to see Scripture as one unified story and return to it faithfully, the Holy Spirit uses it to reveal who God is, anchor us in truth, and form us more deeply into the likeness of Christ.Today's episode ties with the sermon from August 23 called “The Truth & Story of the Bible.”Watch today's episode on Youtube.

What does it really mean to be authentic in voiceover? In this first conversation of the new Truth in the Booth series, Anne Ganguzza welcomes voice actor and coach Tim Powers to explore why authentic voiceover is about much more than simply sounding natural. They dive into subtext, storytelling, emotional connection, predictable performances, character motivation, and the acting skills required to take someone else's words and make them feel genuinely true. Whether you're working in commercial, corporate narration, animation, or another area of voiceover, the same question remains: What are you really trying to make the listener feel? Anne and Tim also discuss why animation requires emotional truth, why imitation alone isn't enough, how practice builds authentic performance, and why the human ability to interpret and connect with a story remains at the heart of voiceover. But how did Amazon become so dominant? What really happened behind the scenes as Jeff Bezos built one of the world's most powerful companies? The story is far more complicated—and far more surprising—than most people realize. She is author of The Everything War: Amazon's Ruthless Quest to Own the World and Remake Corporate Power (https://amzn.to/4qdwEin). We like to think social media simply documents our lives. A judge rejected those claims in April 2026, but the LA Innocence Project has said it plans to appeal. Now Esther and Yolanda reopen the case for themselves.Together, they examine the major arguments being presented as evidence of Peterson's innocence: the burglary across the street from the Peterson home, witnesses who claimed they saw Laci walking her dog after Scott left that morning, new theories about where Laci and Conner entered San Francisco Bay, evidence suggesting Laci may have known about Scott's fishing boat, and questions surrounding when Conner died. They also revisit allegations that investigators developed tunnel vision and ignored evidence that didn't fit their theory of the crime. What actually caused detectives to focus their attention on Scott? Were other leads adequately investigated? And does the so-called “new evidence” meaningfully change the circumstantial case that led a jury to convict him?More than two decades after Laci and Conner Peterson were murdered, Esther and Yolanda separate what's new from what has been argued before, challenge each other's assumptions, and ask the question at the heart of Scott Peterson's latest bid for freedom:Is there truly new evidence of innocence — or simply a new way of presenting an old defense?Content warningThis episode discusses the murder of a pregnant woman and the death of an unborn child.Links to our original episodes:This episode revisits research originally presented in Episodes 71 and 72 of Once Upon a Crime in 2017, along with subsequent court rulings and the claims presented by the Los Angeles Innocence Project in Scott Peterson: The New Evidence.https://www.truecrimepodcast.com/s2-ep71-the-12-crimes-of-christmas-laci-peterson-part-1/https://www.truecrimepodcast.com/s2-ep72-the-12-crimes-of-christmas-laci-peterson-part-2/Other resources: People Magazine article (with photos of van, “Laci note” with handwriting comparison, etc.) https://people.com/pieces-forensic-evidence-could-lead-scott-peterson-freedom-exclusive-12014816?hid=bc2984855ed727914fef22dff40e20764d844358&did=24648672-20260713&utm_source=ppl&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=ppl-true-crime_newsletter&utm_content=071326&lctg=bc2984855ed727914fef22dff40e20764d844358&lr_input=f39d77450fcf063cdc7d94fda7ecdf5efd39306fc49121111e7af41f018cc829&campaign=18955543 For Laci: A Mother's Story of Love, Loss, and Justice, Sharon Rocha, Crown Publishers, 2006.
