One summer day, a man named John Randolph was hiking through a remote forest in Colorado when he began to smell something terrible. Intrigued, he followed the smell until it brought him to this clearing, and in the clearing John saw what looked like an old campsite. Now, John is out in the middle of nowhere, so the idea that somebody was camping out out here, in what looked like a long term settlement, was pretty bizarre to John. John walked into the clearing to see what was going on, and when he turned the corner, he saw something in the middle of the campsite he just couldn't even process... it was so horrible, it just looked fake. But eventually, he realized what he was looking at was real, at which point John turned around and began sprinting out of there screaming for help. This week Justin Crosby is joined by Andy Wilman, the producer behind Top Gear, The Grand Tour and Clarkson's Farm, for a conversation about handing the format to a new generation. The Grand Tour returns to Prime Video on 4 September with a presenting trio built from digital-first talent: Thomas Holland and James Engelsman of the YouTube channel Throttle House, and trainspotter and qualified mechanical engineer Francis Bourgeois. Wilman talks through the casting logic that ruled out famous faces, the mechanics of testing on-screen chemistry before a series is greenlit, and why he believes the format's biggest moments were never planned, only discovered. He also reflects candidly on the show's origins as a rushed response to a punishing Amazon contract, the eye-watering costs behind its biggest stunts, and why he now sits as a consultant rather than the hands-on producer he was for two decades. The conversation closes with a look at Clarkson's Farm's demanding edit process, and a wider question for the industry: would Top Gear have worked as a YouTube-native show, or did it need the BBC to kick against?Plus this week's Story of the Week, Hero of the Week, and Get in the Bin.00:00 Introduction and welcome01:00 Casting the new presenting trio06:00 Why chemistry with the audience can't be faked17:00 The chaotic origins of The Grand Tour format22:00 Wilman's role as consultant, not "brains behind"35:00 Budgets, crew growth and the cost of the format's biggest stunts37:00 Clarkson's Farm and why its edit is harder than The Grand Tour's48:00 Would Top Gear have worked as a YouTube show?54:00 Story of the Week, Hero of the Week, Get in the Bin Sign up for The Drop newsletterEnrol on the TellyCast Digital BootcampBuy tickets for the Digital Content ForumSubscribe to the TellyCast YouTube channel for exclusive TV industry videosFollow us on LinkedInConnect with Justin on LinkedINTellyCast videos on YouTubeTellyCast websiteTellyCast instaTellyCast TwitterTellyCast TikTok

Your energy may be telling you more than you realize. We often notice when the energy in a room shifts, when someone feels “off,” or when an emotion seems to appear out of nowhere. But how do you know what you're actually sensing – and whether it belongs to you? In this episode of A Psychic's Story, Nichole sits down with energy healer, meditation coach, and spiritual teacher Uriel Maksumov to unpack the ways energy can move through and between us, and what can change when we learn to recognize our own energetic patterns more clearly. Coming from generations of healing traditions, Uriel shares how his awareness of the unseen developed from childhood into experiences with energy, spirits, and intuitive perception. He also explains what he calls “energy intelligence” – learning to recognize how energy may show up through emotions, physical sensations, thoughts, relationships, and shifts in our internal state. Their conversation explores how to establish your own energetic baseline, distinguish intuitive information from fear or projection, navigate empathic sensitivity, and work with practices such as grounding, meditation, clearing, and energetic protection without disconnecting from the world around you. In this episode, you'll hear: How Uriel's childhood experiences and family healing traditions shaped his relationship with energy and the unseen. What Uriel means by “energy intelligence” and how becoming more aware of your own baseline can help you recognize when something shifts. How emotions, physical sensations, thoughts, and intuitive impressions may become part of the way we experience energy. How to begin distinguishing something you may be sensing intuitively from your own fear, assumptions, emotions, or projections. Why empaths and energetically sensitive people may find themselves affected by the emotions and experiences of others – and what can help them move through those moments more consciously. How grounding, meditation, clearing, energetic protection, and greater self-awareness can support a healthier relationship with sensitivity rather than shutting it down. To learn more about Uriel and his work, visit energyluck.com or follow him on Instagram at @energyluck_. His book, Awakening Your Inner Energy Intelligence, is available wherever books are sold. Noah Pines spent seven years as a prosecutor in Georgia — weighing sentences, navigating cases, trying to be a fair voice inside a system that does not always reward fairness — before leaving to become a criminal defense attorney and discovering what the justice system looks like from the other side of the courtroom. In this episode of Locked In with Ian Bick, he shares what being a Georgia prosecutor really required of him, why he left after seven years to defend the people he used to prosecute, what working Innocence Project cases and overturning twenty year wrongful conviction sentences actually involved, what the current problems with prosecutors in America actually look like from someone who spent seven years inside that world, and what representing people accused of the worst crimes available actually requires of the attorney who takes those cases. _____________________________________________ #lawyer #criminallaw #prosecutor #truecrimepodcast _____________________________________________ Thank you to CASH APP for sponsoring this episode: Download Cash App Today: https://click.cash.app/ui6m/6pao71et #CashAppPod Cash App is a financial services platform, not a bank. The 2002 remake of Resident Evil is often considered one of the greatest (and most faithful) video game remakes ever made. But is it really as faithful as its reputation suggests? In this episode of The Remake Trials, we compare Resident Evil (1996) with Resident Evil (2002), explore the strange development history behind both games, examine how the remake transforms the original's horror, discuss tank controls, Crimson Heads, Lisa Trevor, B-movie filmmaking, authorial intent, and the changing identity of Resident Evil. And at the end, we place REmake on our Remake Fidelity Matrix. Is Resident Evil Remake still the gold standard for faithful remakes? Maybe, but it's more complicated than we thought. What if the fastest way to grow was walking away from $15 million in sales? In this episode of The Story of a Brand Show, host Rose Hamilton sits down with Jason Burke, Founder and CEO of New Primal. Jason shares his incredible evolution from Googling "how to make beef jerky" without any food manufacturing background to building a CPG powerhouse. Together, they deliver a masterclass on commercial discipline, detailing how New Primal cut 36 products down to a focused core, shifted from an impulse snack to a high-velocity lunchbox staple, and learned that revenue without healthy margins is just noise. In this episode, we cover: * The $15 Million Cut: How eliminating profitable yet complex SKUs and categories actually unlocked faster overall growth. * The Hidden Tax of Complexity: Why adding "one more SKU" taxes management bandwidth, operations, and capital far more than founders realize. * Top-Line Vanity vs. Enterprise Value: Shifting away from chasing rapid top-line revenue to building a sustainable, margin-accretive business model. * Listening to Consumer Behavior: How feedback from parents led to pivoting into mini meat sticks and capturing the expanding kids' lunchbox market. * The Retailer Reality Check: What a brand truly owes the shelf after getting authorized, and why distribution without demand is a dangerous trap. * Founder Discipline: Why the hardest part of scaling is learning to stop inventing new products and start mastering the core. In 1873, Ohio senator John Sherman quietly helped pass a law that stopped Americans from turning silver into official US money. The consequences were huge: years of economic pain and political turmoil that earned it the nickname “the Crime of 1873”. Pulitzer Prize-winning author Liaquat Ahamed explains how the event squeezed American farmers and fuelled the Free Silver movement, led by the populist firebrand William Jennings Bryan. Host Gillian Tett explores with Ahamed how monetary policy can reshape politics. Jason Sautel was a firefighter in Oakland, California, when his world came crashing down. As he watched a suicidal man jump to his death off the Oakland Bay Bridge, Jason came face-to-face with his own demons, and there was only one way out: Jesus Christ. Today, Jason is a retired firefighter, a Christian, and the author of a book that gives many people hope: The Rescuer - One Firefighter's Story of Courage, Darkness, and the Relentless Love That Saved Him. Jason shares the harrowing stories of darkness on the streets of Oakland, confronting the worst kinds of tragedies, and how the grace of Jesus Christ and the good news of the Gospel saved his own life. He wrote his book to let people know they're not alone in their pain. There is a way out: hell is real, but so is Jesus, and so is the hope of salvation and eternal life. TAKEAWAYS Dealing with daily tragedy and trauma as a firefighter took a toll on Jason's life The reality of hell should give Christians a sense of urgency to save others Only the relentless power of God can save us from the darkness of our sins Contact the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline via call, text, or chat if you need help at 988lifeline.org

Daniel Mingo has spent decades following Jesus while navigating unwanted same-sex attraction, sexual addiction, marriage, recovery, and ministry. In this conversation, Daniel joins Brady Cone to share his story and discuss what it actually looks like to pursue Christ when same-sex attraction doesn't simply disappear. They talk about prayer, repentance, accountability, identity in Christ, sanctification, and why Daniel rejects the label “gay Christian.”They also discuss Side B Christianity, Revoice, the difference between temptation and identity, and why genuine discipleship requires more than simply changing behavior. This is a conversation about what it means to deny yourself, take up your cross, follow Jesus, and trust God with the process of sanctification—even when that process takes a lifetime.Learn more about Daniel Mingo and ABBA's Delight.Timestamps:00:00 Introduction03:00 Daniel's Story of Same-Sex Attraction09:08 Following Jesus While Attractions Remained17:00 Marriage, Temptation & Secret Struggles27:20 Confessing to His Wife29:17 Recognizing Sexual Addiction36:59 God Calls Daniel Into Ministry44:22 Is Change Actually Possible?47:24 “Pray Away the Gay” vs. Side B Christianity49:44 Why Daniel Rejects the “Gay Christian” Identity51:17 Daniel's Warning About the Gay Christian Movement54:15 The Problem With Side B Christianity56:18 Sanctification Takes Time1:02:48 Why Discipleship Requires Community1:03:37 Helping Christians With Same-Sex AttractionJoin us weekly as we strive help people embrace God's standard for sexuality! Growth can feel surprisingly uncomfortable when you're stepping into something you've never done before. In this episode, I'm talking about those seasons where you're wondering, “Am I stuck, or is God actually expanding me?” Because sometimes the discomfort, uncertainty, and fear we experience aren't signs that we're on the wrong path—they're simply evidence that we're somewhere we've never been before. I want to help you recognize the difference between fear and discernment, and learn to trust God even when you don't feel ready. In this episode, you'll discover: Why discomfort doesn't automatically mean you're doing the wrong thing How to recognize when God is stretching you into something new Why the calling often comes before the confidence The difference between “I can't” and “I've never” How to discern the difference between fear and a genuine warning from God Why your next level may require new support, systems, and people around you If you've been feeling stretched in your business, leadership, or calling, I want you to pause before you label yourself as stuck. You may not be stuck at all. You may simply be expanding beyond the way you've operated before. Sometimes the next step isn't about feeling ready. It's about trusting God enough to take the step anyway. Listen in, sit with these questions, and ask yourself: Where am I feeling stretched right now—and could this actually be evidence that I'm expanding?
