When Ron and Nancy Stallings found the old Victorian on Evergreen Street in Baltimore, they thought their dreams had come true. With each bringing three kids from a previous marriage into the relationship, they needed to find a house large enough to accommodate their large family, but their limited income made that seem impossible. So, when they learned that the house was being offered at a bargain price, Ron and Nancy didn't hesitate to put in an offer—a decision they would soon come to regret. In the years that the Stallings family occupied the home on Evergreen Street, they encountered a variety of paranormal activity, from the faucets and lights turning themselves on and off to the disembodied voices and apparitions of strangers in the home. Rather than be captives in their home to forces they could neither fight nor understand, Ron and Nancy decided to take action to rid themselves of the other worldly presence, but quickly realized they were woefully unprepared for the battle that lay before them.ReferencesAmodio, Joe. 2005. We still can't get over (and not in a good way) this infamous Pretty Little Liars Halloween Special — aka the mysterious backdoor Ravenswood pilot. Endless running, girls getting lost (shocker), creepy statues around every corner, and what should have been the biggest reveal of the entire series… yet somehow, it all falls flat and leaves us wanting so much more.Leave us a voice message at (631) 600-3916Send us an email at weareliarspod@gmail.comLet's Connect: Instagram, YouTubeMore Betty Content hereTotal Betty Merch hereJoin our Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/totalbettypodcastnetwork/Music by: Anthony ViccoraProduced and Edited by: Total Betty Podcast NetworkSnail Mail:PO BOX 553Centereach, NY 11720 ★ Support this podcast on Patreon ★

Today's teens face a serious and growing danger when it comes to drugs. As parents, it's essential to talk openly with your children about the risks of drug use and the heartbreaking reality that a single bad decision can be fatal. Eighteen-year-old Victoria Siegel's life was cut short by a drug overdose, a tragedy that moved her parents to dedicate themselves to preventing similar loss for the youth of America. David and Jackie Siegel created Victoria's Voice Foundation to equip families with the knowledge to recognize addiction early and understand how to get help. Rachael Bischel, the foundation's program manager, leads efforts across its four core pillars: drug education and outreach, expanding access to naloxone (Narcan), supporting effective drug policy, and promoting healthier choices among youth.TAKEAWAYSVictoria's Voice: Her Words from Beyond the Grave is Victoria's posthumously published diaryVictoria's book is filled with critical resources for teens and parents about drug addiction, the warning signs, and how to get helpVital Signs is one of the foundation's most important branches; it helps parents recognize the subtle signs of drug issues in their own childrenNarcan, or naloxone, is a key life-saving medicine to keep on hand in case of an emergency overdose situation
Grave (Bloomsbury, 2023) by Allison C. Meier takes a ground-level view of how burial sites have transformed over time and how they continue to change. As a cemetery tour guide, Meier has spent more time walking among tombstones than most. Even for her, the grave has largely been invisible, an out of the way and unobtrusive marker of death. However, graves turn out to be not always so subtle, reverent, or permanent. While the indigent and unidentified have frequently been interred in mass graves, a fate brought into the public eye during the COVID-19 pandemic, the practice today is not unlike burials in the potter's fields of the colonial era. Burial is not the only option, of course, and Meier analyzes the rise of cremation, green burial, and new practices like human composting, investigating what is next for the grave and how existing spaces of death can be returned to community life. This book is part of Bloomsbury's Object Lessons series. This interview was conducted by Dr. Miranda Melcher whose doctoral work focused on post-conflict military integration, understanding treaty negotiation and implementation in civil war contexts, with qualitative analysis of the Angolan and Mozambican civil wars. On this weekend's edition of “Truth to Ponder,” Bob talks about two grave dangers that lie ahead. One is subtle, the other is right before our eyes but many refuse to acknowledge just how much of a danger it is. Bob puts both under the light of God's truth. Now, do you believe in this ministry?

A top-nuclear researcher recounts (in therapy) how she fell in love with a supposed alien, married him, and was later convicted of his murder. The question remains: is she a delusional murderer or the innocent victim of extraterrestrial manipulation? | “The Star Killers” – CBS Radio Mystery Theater | #RetroRadio EP0559CHAPTERS & TIME STAMPS (All Times Approximate)…00:00:00.000 = Show Open00:01:30.028 = CBS Radio Mystery Theater, “The Star Killers” (February 15, 1977) ***WD00:48:51.601 = The Sealed Book, “Till Death Do Us Part” (July 08, 1945) ***WD01:18:15.720 = The Shadow, “The Green Man” (November 24, 1940) ***WD01:42:19.474 = Sleep No More, “Woman in Grey” and “Suspicious Gift” (March 20, 1957)02:11:07.735 = BBC Spine Chillers, “Rituals” (1984)02:37:33.993 = Stay Tuned For Terror, “The Bogey Man Will Get You” (October 01, 1945) ***WD02:52:06.410 = Strange Wills, “Dance Director” (November 16, 1946)03:21:43.442 = Suspense, “The Strange Death of Charles Umberstein” (November 23, 1943)03:51:10.025 = Tales of the Frightened, “Voice From the Grave”03:55:58.182 = The Saint, “Intruder” (March 25, 1951)04:25:28.004 = Theater Five, “Prodigal Son” (October 27, 1964)04:45:54.583 = Show Close(ADU) = Air Date Unknown(LQ) = Low Quality***WD = Remastered, edited, or cleaned up by Weird Darkness to make the episode more listenable. Spite Houses: The architectural equivalent of a middle finger. They're structures or dwellings designed specifically to piss someone off. This week, Norm does a deep dive into a truly ridiculous spite house, built and owned by an eccentric millionaire named Joseph Richardson. It all started when a man made an offer on Joseph's 5-foot wide, 102-foot deep tract of land in New York City. Joseph was so offended by the man's (completely reasonable) offer, that he built an odd, skinny structure right next to the man's beautiful apartment building. And the wildest part of it all? Joseph Richardson lived in his spite house for fifteen years. Remember, kids, history hoes always cite their sources! For this episode, Norm pulled from: Alpern, Andrew. Lots of work to do—let's get to it—Here are 3 big things for this hour— Number One— Once again Federal Judges are hindering states in pursuit of fair congressional district boundaries – and this time they are going after Texas—and soon the Supreme Court will weigh in to settle it all— Number Two— A new discovery in the arctic will unleash American dominance in rare earth elements—and propel the nation to a new path toward energy and AI superiority—it's a big deal— Number Three— An update on the Epstein files release – with Trump's support – the House voted 427 to 1 yesterday to release the files – with Representative Clay Higgins as the only “no” vote over concerns about a lack of protection for the identities of victims and witnesses. In the Senate the bill also received overwhelming support and will soon be on the way to the Presidents desk for his signature—
Some hauntings never stay inside the walls they began in. This story follows a girl raised in the shadows of New Orleans — a place where the ground itself breathes history and the dead are never truly gone. Her childhood home wasn't just unstable because of the violent man who lived there; it was alive with something older, something watching. It started with whispered voices calling her name, objects moving when no one was near, and the unmistakable feeling of being studied. But the night she saw a shimmering man in the hallway — a figure that sprinted through the air and vanished straight into a closet door — she realized this wasn't imagination. This was a real haunting. This isn't just a ghost story. It's the story of a haunting that attached to a person — and never let go. #TrueGhostStory #RealHaunting #HauntedHouse #Paranormal #GhostStories #NewOrleansHaunted #ShadowFigure #CreepyStory #SpiritEncounter #HauntedLife #DemonicPresence #RealParanormal Love real ghost stories?
