Conscious Embodiment: Astrology and Dreams with Dr. Michael Lennox
For the week of July 14th, Mercury goes retrograde. This week we talk about the symbolism of Daleks in our dreams.
In this solo episode, I dive deep into two key topics: why leaders need embodiment and how embodiment differs from mindfulness. Drawing on 20+ years of experience in the field, I break down why embodied presence—not just information or emotional intelligence—is the make-or-break factor in modern leadership. We explore how embodiment shapes trust, impact, and co-regulation in teams, and why practices like mindfulness, while foundational, aren't the full picture. I also look at the historical and cultural roots of both embodiment and mindfulness, how they overlap, where they diverge, and how to use them skillfully as a coach or leader. ----------------------------------------------- As a special gift for you, our loyal listeners, we are offering $200 off our flagship course, the Certificate of Embodiment Coaching when you use code: CECPOD More info here: https://embodimentunlimited.com/cec ----------------------------------------------- Check out our YouTube channel for more coaching tips and our Podcast channel for full episode videos Uplevel your coaching with a free copy of Mark's latest eBook, The Top 12 Embodiment Coaching Techniques Join Mark for those juicy in-person workshops and events Fancy some free coaching demo sessions with Mark? After nearly 6 years of showing up every week, I felt like I was ready to step back. But then… I sat with it. I lived in time, like I always talk about. And I realized:This podcast is not just a project. It's a conversation, and I still have something to say.So instead of pausing, I'm resetting.Today, I want to invite you into a 180-day challenge — not about doing more, but about becoming more intentional. Here's the question: Who do you want to be in 180 days? Not what you want to do. Today on the Kind Heartfulness Podcast, we're honored to welcome Barbara Bogatin — a world-class cellist and long-time practitioner of Buddhist meditation. A member of the San Francisco Symphony since 1994, Barbara's musical career has taken her from the stages of the New York Philharmonic and the Metropolitan Opera to intimate chamber ensembles across the world. But Barbara's path is more than music. She's also a dedicated student of Buddhism, with over three decades of Vipassana practice and deep study of the Dharma. Her lifelong meditation practice deeply informs not just how she plays, but how she lives — and teaches. Together with her husband, neuroscientist Clifford Saron, she leads workshops like “The Buddha, the Brain, and Bach,” weaving together insights from Buddhist contemplative traditions, neuroscience, and the art of performance. In today's episode, Barbara reflects on how mindfulness and Dharma practice have shaped her as a musician, a teacher, and a human being — and how we can all bring more presence and compassion into our own lives. You can find out more about Barbara at here website: https://www.barbarabogatin.com/home Scroll down the page to find out about her upcoming workshops such as The Buddha, the Brain and Bach or Mindfulness for Musicians.

Some would argue our world has got too busy, too frantic, that we never get a chance to switch off. An estimate from a few years ago believes we have as much as 34GB of information coming into us every day. Some of this business is likely due to never being able to switch off from incoming info, as well as a loss of “stopping cues” around us, e.g. ads on linear tv, intermissions at movies. We can get into a pattern of always being on, always “doing”, never stopping and just “being”. It's arguably not good for our wellbeing —a constant low level of stress— and can also affect relationships, e.g. having a conversation at the same time as scrolling on your phone. Here are three things people could try if they want to experiment with an antidote to this business: 1) Mindfulness: one aspect of mindfulness is becoming aware of when your attention has shifted and moving it back to just one thing, e.g. your breathing. 2) Concentrating on doing everyday tasks one at a time, e.g. if brushing your teeth, just brush your teeth. Notice all the aspects of it – notice your mind wandering away and practice bringing it back to the task at hand. 3) Watch some slow tv. My best recommendation for the moment is the Great Moose Migration on Swedish tv (svtplay.sw). It's 24/7 coverage of moose migrating across a river —over 30 cameras but very slow— long shots of Swedish wilderness without a moose in sight. It's on right now but only lasts for a few more days – you can almost feel your blood pressure lowering. Give it a go, see if it makes a difference! From his website: About Poncho: For me, that experience of dissonance became VERY loud in my twenties. I was living in Mexico City, where I am originally from, and I had been working in a big multinational company for some time. I had a promising career ahead of me with so much external validation (so much!), and yet, my internal discomfort was so strong that I decided to take a leap of faith; I quit my job and moved to Paris with the dream of becoming a photographer. Without knowing it at the time, that first leap across the Atlantic had unlocked a relentless desire to discover what living authentically means, no matter how unconventional the answers and journey to find them might be. I then moved to London, where I encountered coaching for the first time and became a 3D artist in film. Living in a new environment while working in a creative field had lessened the inner dissonance significantly, however, I was still searching for purpose, meaning and my life's mission. After 10 years of living in London, I decided to take another leap of faith further East, this time to Asia.Follow Poncho's Journey: https://www.ponchocottier.com/myjourney ***********Susanne Mueller / www.susannemueller.biz TEDX Talk, May 2022: Running and Life: 5KM Formula for YOUR Successhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oT_5Er1cLvY 700+ weekly blogs / 450+ podcasts / 1 Ironman Triathlon / 5 half ironman races / 26 marathon races / 3 books / 1 Mt.
