Cat has also worked for the likes of Take 2 Interactive, Blizzard Entertainment and the Eurogamer Network, and she is the leading individual fundraiser for the fantastic charity GamesAid. The Creative Brain is a catalyst for changeFor many years Anna Stoecklein believed that creativity was limited to traditional forms of art, such as painting or drawing. However, after watching the Netflix documentary The Creative Brain, she realized that creativity is everywhere, and that everyone is creative in their own way. This realization was a game-changer for Anna, as it allowed her to see her own creativity and potential.Anna had a creative childhood, but that took a back seat during her teenage years and early adulthood. Anna studied nursing, and after three years of working in a clinical setting, she realized it wasn't for her. She couldn't see herself climbing the management ladder or going back to school to become a nurse practitioner. Other career roles followed, along with a move from the US to the UK. The lessons Anna had learnt from that documentary percolated, until a few years later she was able to put them to good use as she turned the idea for The Story of Woman podcast into a fully-fledged show. Episode 25. Debra in FloridaIn this episode, I will be talking with Debra in Florida. Debra lost her brother, Bobby, to COVID on April 29, 2020. Bobby was born intellectually disabled and so even though he was 55 when he passed away, Debra describes him as very much a big kid. He had a caring nature and lived in the moment. Debra's grief over losing Bobby is profound and after some dark months, she found a COVID support group and that led her to the Yellow Heart Memorial. Debra also founded a non-profit called Bobby's Bikes where they give away bikes to kids. How am I with Change: For the last couple of weeks, the energies from the collective may have been feeling intense. The energy of change is quite literally knocking at our doors. Important then to ask yourself at this point, "How am I with change?" Do you allow it gracefully? Are you carrying on regardless, same old, same old, while the energies shift from underneath you? Do you limit how change operates in your life, holding on to some idea of control? One of the elements of allowing change is working with higher dimensional energies that simply dissolve old structures and help give birth to the new. And that's what we're going to be doing, in this meditation to allow you to uplift to a higher energy frequency and be more in the flow of change with ease and grace. Scientist theorize that Octopus could actual be from an alien world and were sort of seeded on our planet by an icy comet. Have you seen an alien octopus? Reinvesting in Triple Bottom Line Introducing Phil Graves, Patagonia, and $20 Million & Change For over four decades, Patagonia has been a leader in high-end outdoor wear. The worldwide clothing brand not only makes clothes to wear outside, but also is known for its commitment to the environment. Since 1993 it has been making its fleece from recycled beverage bottles and it has used organic cotton since 1996. This commitment to a triple bottom line was further continued when Patagonia became a B corp in 2011. Patagonia has now continued to double-down on its commitment to planet, people, and profit by creating its own venture capital firm $20 Million and Change, which invests in environmentally and socially responsible start-ups. Phil Graves heads corporate development at Patagonia and oversees $20 Million & Change. Phil came from the corporate consulting world, but was looking for a change. His first choice was to work for Patagonia and as luck would have it this was right near the initiation of $20 Million & Change. For Phil, one of the most rewarding aspects of working for Patagonia is the opportunity to demonstrate that business can be an engine for positive change.
