Attorney Todd Whatley addresses the critical components of trust management and highlights common trust mistakes that attorneys should help clients avoid. He provides insight into how elder law attorneys can differentiate themselves from DIY solutions and financial advisors attempting to provide estate planning.• DIY estate planning services and financial advisors are aggressively targeting clients, claiming lawyers aren't necessary• Trust documents need specialized language to handle incapacity periods before death, not just asset transfers after death• Testamentary trusts provide significant protection from bankruptcy, divorce, and lawsuits for beneficiaries• The biggest mistake in trust planning is failure to fund the trust by properly titling assets• Multiple co-trustees often create family conflict; consider recommending corporate trustees instead• Careful trustee selection is critical for proper trust administration• Trustees have fiduciary duties and should maintain detailed records and communication• Attorneys should avoid amending other professionals' trust documents due to malpractice concerns• Regular trust reviews (every five years) are essential as family situations and laws changeFor more information about Todd's elder law coaching services, visit theelderlawcoach.com to schedule a free consultation call.Information to help you answer all of your questions about aging.

The bible is litter with this idea. We are from above because of our identification is in Christ, which took place at the point of salvation. This is your kingdom news believers         You are  located with Christ.     You are not of this world.      You do not operate with thensystems of this world.     You do not operate with thenrules of this world.     You are from above.     You operate from a different dimension.      In dimensions where all things are possible A dimension where the sick always receive their healing. A dimension where you are never stranded.      A dimension where whatever you say, come to past. The Creative Brain is a catalyst for changeFor many years Anna Stoecklein believed that creativity was limited to traditional forms of art, such as painting or drawing. However, after watching the Netflix documentary The Creative Brain, she realized that creativity is everywhere, and that everyone is creative in their own way. This realization was a game-changer for Anna, as it allowed her to see her own creativity and potential.Anna had a creative childhood, but that took a back seat during her teenage years and early adulthood. Anna studied nursing, and after three years of working in a clinical setting, she realized it wasn't for her. She couldn't see herself climbing the management ladder or going back to school to become a nurse practitioner. Other career roles followed, along with a move from the US to the UK. The lessons Anna had learnt from that documentary percolated, until a few years later she was able to put them to good use as she turned the idea for The Story of Woman podcast into a fully-fledged show. In this episode Anna and I discuss how she was able to challenge and reframe her self-perception as a "non-creative" person, as well as the amazing experiences she's had with her podcast guests, including conversations with Hillary Clinton and Cherie Blair.CreativityFound.co.ukInstagram: @creativityfoundpodcastFacebook: @creativityfoundpodcast and Creativity Found groupPinterest: @creativityfoundTwitter: @creativityfounResearched, edited and produced by Claire Waite BrownMusic: Day Trips by Ketsa Undercover / Ketsa Creative Commons License Free Music Archive - Ketsa - Day TripsArtworks: Emily Portnoi emilyportnoi.co.uk Photo: Ella Pallet Support the showSupport the show hereSubscribe to the Creativity Found mailing list hereJoin the Creativity Found Collective here

Welcome back to Grow With Soul, and this first episode of 2022. Thank you so much for coming back and listening in and supporting the show. Today I wanted to talk about something that is as fitting in January as it is any other month: change. The only thing we can guarantee is change. Sometimes it happens fast, sometimes it is glacial; sometimes it is good, sometimes it is bad, and sometimes it feels bad but is actually good. Sometimes it's within our control, and other times it is thrust upon us with no say. But however it happens, it happens. So today I'm talking about dealing with the change you want, and the change you don't.What I talk about in this episode:Going easy in change that you wantGrieving the paths not takenNot swimming against the tide of changeFor links and resources discussed in the show, see the full show notes.Kayte on InstagramSubscribe to my newsletter!

For most of us, having a negative experience is enough reason to be mad, angry, or asking why this is happening to us. For Pantea Kalhor, things are a bit different. After a man dropped her to the ground to rob her car, causing her multiple back injuries, she asked herself: What was the blessing the universe sent to her through the thief and the car incident? Pantea decided to forgive the man. The sense of release and letting go helped her feel better and understand the false sense of belonging we tend to have with things and people. Pantea Kalhor is a Change Specialist, Project manager, Agile Coach, Author, Publisher, Podcaster, and Show host. She is a three-time best-selling author, Certified PTSD and Fertility Coach. This conversation is as fascinating as it is free flowing - a diverse dialogue with Technologist turned Plant Intelligence Practitioner, Tigrilla Gardenia.Tigrilla's journey flows from the conventional definition of success through shifting patterns of turning into spirituality and rising to purpose by aligning her passions, strengths and connective capability to understand how human growth and evolution is linked to our partnership with the intelligence of another kingdom - that of plants.Tigrilla grew up in a Cuban family in the US, progressing through university to a successful career in Hi-Tech, including a decade in Software Development with Microsoft and RealNetworks. She departed the preordained path and via a magnificent series of leaps of faith, landed with a spiritual community in Italy, announcing she would say for a few months. A decade and a Masters in Plant Intelligence later, we find her exploring the many ways we as humans and leaders can make the world better by overcoming plant ‘blindness', understanding better our role as part of nature and learning how to model the plant kingdom's tendencies of nurturing sustainable ecosystems as examples for leadership, organisational design and overall embracing a more productive way of being. The key elements of this conversation are;Ask how can you build positive mental health?Explore what you can gain when you discover communityConsider how we bring our the best of human beings and awaken our true potential by recognising that we are part of the environmentWhen we do the right thing by ourselves, we do the right thing by everything, when we remember that we are natureWe have to look at our team members, our industries and our systems as what they truly areRecognise that the more efficient response to overcome fear is empathyHow to find the flow between curiosity and fearWhen you quiet the mind and open the senses, you allow collaboration to happenExpanding the senses allows leaders to work with people in new waysHow to understand and explore ‘mutualisms', the mutually beneficial relationships that exist throughout natureHow you as a leader can look at the overall system you exist within and decide which types of relationships you need to createThat we need to create effective feedback loops to understand when it's time to changeFor growth, start by focusing on the individual, looking at awakening and reconnectionWe can look to models yes, but only after we have looked at values and biasesConsider what are your goals, what are your values, and connect these to the overall system. How am I with Change: For the last couple of weeks, the energies from the collective may have been feeling intense. The energy of change is quite literally knocking at our doors. Important then to ask yourself at this point, "How am I with change?" Do you allow it gracefully? Are you carrying on regardless, same old, same old, while the energies shift from underneath you? Do you limit how change operates in your life, holding on to some idea of control? One of the elements of allowing change is working with higher dimensional energies that simply dissolve old structures and help give birth to the new. And that's what we're going to be doing, in this meditation to allow you to uplift to a higher energy frequency and be more in the flow of change with ease and grace. Centering Intention: “I am surrendering and allowing myself to be in the flow of change with ease and grace for my highest good.”

Some days the artist gets to be in charge, and some days, it’s the businessperson. And sometimes that can create tension! But tension can be a really good thing - from it comes new ideas, inspiration, and growth. When you run a creative business you need to keep your “inspiration well” full, your mind and body healthy and your business brain sharp. You also need friends and a community that understand what your days are like. That’s why And She Looked Up was created - to create a space for Canadian female artists, creatives and makers to come together and share our ideas and stories while growing our creative businesses! Here a great number of disabled people used to lie—the blind, the lame, the paralyzed. [5] One who was there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. [6] When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, “Do you want to get well?” [7] “Sir,” the invalid replied, “I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me.” [8] Then Jesus said to him, “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.”John 5:3,5-8 NIV Like the paralyzed man in this scripture, many of us have felt stuck. Whether it is a circumstance, an emotion, or a sin, it is frustrating and discouraging to get stuck, and it can be hard to know how to get out of it. Just as the man needed Jesus' help to get unstuck, we can't get unstuck alone. We need help from both friends and God to move forward in our lives, and this starts with asking what Jesus asked - "Do you want to get well?" By answering this question, we can begin to make the following decisions:Tell the truthStop resistingMake a changeFor any of us, but especially for teenagers, simplicity is key. By making the simple choice to either tell the truth, stop resisting help, or make a change in our lives, we make steps toward getting unstuck and becoming free. Join Russ Ewell and friends as they talk about what decisions we can make to have a summer of freedom.

Reinvesting in Triple Bottom Line   Introducing Phil Graves, Patagonia, and $20 Million & Change For over four decades, Patagonia has been a leader in high-end outdoor wear. The worldwide clothing brand not only makes clothes to wear outside, but also is known for its commitment to the environment. Since 1993 it has been making its fleece from recycled beverage bottles and it has used organic cotton since 1996. This commitment to a triple bottom line was further continued when Patagonia became a B corp in 2011. Patagonia has now continued to double-down on its commitment to planet, people, and profit by creating its own venture capital firm $20 Million and Change, which invests in environmentally and socially responsible start-ups. Phil Graves heads corporate development at Patagonia and oversees $20 Million & Change. Phil came from the corporate consulting world, but was looking for a change. His first choice was to work for Patagonia and as luck would have it this was right near the initiation of $20 Million & Change. For Phil, one of the most rewarding aspects of working for Patagonia is the opportunity to demonstrate that business can be an engine for positive change. Check out this episode of the Boiling Point to be inspired by a great company and learn how your start-up could be their next investment.   In this episode   Greg tells us how Patagonia has inspired Hemmings House by their corporate vision and their amazing film work. Phil tells us the inspiration behind $20 Million & Change and how it further propels Patagonia's vision. He tells us the type of business and entrepreneur that Patagonia likes to invest in. We hear about a few success stories that were funded by $20 Million & Change and what they specifically do to affect a triple bottom line. Phil tells us how Patagonia fulfills its mission statement to build the best product, cause no unnecessary harm, use business to inspire, and to implement solutions to the environmental crisis. We hear how becoming a B corp was the right fit for Patagonia, and not just a marketing ploy. Phil tells us how to get onto Patagonia's investment radar. There is a discussion on what is next for B corps in general, and how we might expect to see more publicly traded B corps in the future. Greg is inspired by Patagonia's notion of reinvesting in themselves and others. He also recalls a buying choice that ended with him picking up a Patagonia hat. Dave loves to hear the perspective of someone who came out of the corporate consulting world and going to a triple bottom line company. Dave also recalls his experience working in the government and how he sees business as potentially a better force for positive change.   Links  - Phil on Linked In  - Patagonia on Twitter - Patagonia on Facebook - Patagonia's Website - Patagonia Works and $20 Million & Change - Patagonia's DamNation - B Corporation Website - Wild Idea Buffalo Website - Nu Mat Technologies - Beyond Surface Technologies - California Safe Soil - Bureo Skateboards Learn more about your ad choices.
