This week we welcome Master Distiller, Ross Cornelissen from 1792 back to The Bourbon Showdown! We do a deep dive on all things 1792 as he walks me through the history of the brand and everything they have in store for the future. Daniel Cornelissen is acteur. Hij speelde in theatervoorstellingen als ‘Showponies' en ‘Bromance', waarvan de laatsgenoemde werd bekroond met een Gouden Krekel. Ook was Cornelissen te zien in verschillende films en televisieseries. Zo verscheen hij in ‘Feuten: Het Feestje' en in ‘Koningshuis the Musical'. Nu speelt Cornelissen in ‘Galerie The Waverly', van scenarioschrijver Kenneth Lonergan. Conceptual papers that offer new theories are hard to write and even harder to publish. You do not have empirical data to back up your arguments, which makes the papers easy to reject in the review cycle. We are also typically not well trained in theorizing, and there isn't even a clear process to theorizing we could learn or follow. Does that mean that we shouldn't even try to write theory papers? In 2018, artisanal Italian vineyard Frank Cornelissen was one of the world's leading producers of natural wine. But when weather-related conditions damaged that year's grapes, founder Frank Cornelissen had to decide between staying true to the tenets of natural wine making, or breaking with his public beliefs to save that year's grapes by adding sulfites. Harvard Business School assistant professor Tiona Zuzul discusses the importance of staying true to your company's principles while remaining flexible enough to welcome progress.

Today I am speaking with Carley Cornelissen. Carley is an artist based in Brisbane, Australia. She is obsessed with colour, pattern, flora and fauna. She  studied Fine arts at RMIT back in the early 2000's and has been creating ever since. Chantal en haar team hebben de visie gevonden in verbindend gezag en Slapende honden wakker maken. Vanuit 3 invalshoeken wordt gewerkt aan veiligheid; 1. Fysieke veiligheid 2. Pedagogische veiligheid 3. Emotionele veiligheid Je gebruikt relatiegebaren om de jongere steeds te laten weten dat je nabij bent, dat je de verbinding zoekt. Je spreekt je zorg uit en soms wordt die ondersteund met een aankondingsbrief. Chantal geeft in deze podcast hele mooie voorbeelden van situaties waarin zij keer op keer weer de verbinding maken met de jongeren. Goede gewoontes aanleren en bad habits afleren, hoe doe je dat?Hartstikke fijn dat je niet over iedere handeling hoeft na te denken. Daarmee bespaar je een hele hoop energie. Het is namelijk juist die automatische piloot die ervoor zorgt dat je op je tijd op je werk verschijnt en de gewoonte hebt ontwikkeld om na terugkomst van de sportschool je sporttas te legen. En je sleutelbos? Die leg je steevast op één vaste plek neer. Eenvoudige voorbeelden van goede gewoontes die je leven vergemakkelijken.Helaas zorgt die automatische piloot er ook voor dat je maar al te graag aan slechte gewoonten vasthoudt: zo heb je er een handje aan om na het douchen die natte handdoek op de grond te gooien. En je mailbox? In geen tijden heb je die leeg gezien. Pas wanneer je een belangrijke mail over het hoofd heb gezien, komt het in je op om ‘m eens fatsoenlijk te legen.Met andere woorden: Jouw brein is een gewoontedier. Het houdt van routine en het niet hoeven nadenken over de volgende handeling. Hierbij maakt het geen onderscheid tussen goede gewoonten (sleutelbos) of slechte gewoonten (overvolle mailbox). Abstract: Language comprehension involves multiple hierarchical processing stages across time, space, and levels of representation. When processing a word, the sensory input is transformed into increasingly abstract representations that need to be integrated with the linguistic context. Thus, language comprehension involves both input-driven as well as memory-dependent processes. While neuroimaging research has identified the most important time windows and brain regions implicated in these processes, recent studies indicate that whole-brain distributed patterns of cortical activation might be highly relevant for cognitive functions, including language. One such pattern, based on resting-state connectivity, is the 'principal cortical gradient', which dissociates sensory from heteromodal brain regions. The present study investigated the extent to which this gradient provides an organizational principle underlying language function, using a multimodal neuroimaging dataset of functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and magnetoencephalography (MEG) recordings from 102 participants during sentence reading. We found that individual representations of a word (word length, orthographic distance and word frequency), which reflect visual, orthographic, and lexical properties, are mainly represented at the sensory end of the gradient. Although these properties showed opposite effect directions in fMRI and MEG, their association to the sensory end of the gradient was consistent across both neuroimaging modalities. In contrast, MEG revealed that properties reflecting a word's relation to its linguistic context (semantic similarity and position within the sentence) predominantly involve the heteromodal end of the gradient. This dissociation between individual word and contextual properties was stable across earlier and later time windows during word presentation, indicating interactive processing of word representations and linguistic context at opposing ends of the principal gradient. To conclude, our findings indicate that the principal gradient underlies the organization of a range of linguistic representations while supporting a distinction between context-independent and context-dependent representations. Furthermore, the gradient reveals convergent patterns across neuroimaging modalities (similar location along the gradient) in the presence of divergent responses (opposite effect directions). 'Toto' nodigt Joost en Dennis uit op Camping de Kurenpolder in Hank, waar hij woont. De topschutter van weleer vertelt honderduit over zijn twee periodes bij NAC, uiteraard over de nacompetities die hij speelde, de zilveren schoen die hij won en de promotie in 1984.  Cornelissen vertelt over samenspelen met Ton Lokhoff bij NAC. En over hoe hij speelde naast Marco van Basten in het Nederlands UEFA-elftal. Over de magie van de Beatrixstraat en wat het voor hem betekende om topscorer te zijn. Samen met John Karelse, vaste gast in de show, worden oude herinneringen opgehaald.  Ook wordt de link naar het heden gelegd. Guido Cornelissen s.j. is wat men noemt een collegepater. Hij wilde politieke en sociale wetenschappen studeren. Daarna ga ik naar Congo, nam hij zich voor, om daar een stem te geven aan de jonge generaties intellectuelen. Hij studeerde klassieke filologie, vertrok niet naar Congo, werd leraar en later de graag geziene directeur aan het college van Turnhout. Guido Cornelissen is kritisch over het nutsdenken in het onderwijs en de daarmee gepaard gaande teloorgang van een goede algemene humane vorming. Hij roept op tot een reveil op basis van humanisme.

Hoeveel valt er te vertellen over 'Zeg n's Aaa'? Een heleboel, valt ook Bjorn op, als blijkt dat Ron zo'n beetje elk detail uit de serie moeiteloos kan oplepelen. Niemand minder dan Hans Cornelissen (tegenwoordig succesvol musical-producent), die jarenlang Gert-Jan van der Ploeg speelde in de serie, vertelt ons zijn ervaringen op de set en wat het gigantische succes voor hem betekende.Ook opvallende onthullingen in de post-rubriek en in de rubriek 'Daar Bleef Je NIET Voor Thuis!", heeft dit keer Bjorn weer een vergeten parel meegenomen uit de prullenbak van de tv-historie.
