Selecting a CRM (customer relationship management) is wholly based on your individual business needs. For example, one of the best CRMs available is Square. If that's your sole payment processor, it may be your best bet. If you have an email marketing system (e.g., ActiveCampaign) that includes a CRM, that could be easiest because all of your emails and sales information are in one place. This week's show, we highlighted Pipedrive. https://www.pipedrive.com/ (Pipedrive) Sales-focused Can get expensive if you need the add-on features (e.g., leads, documents, campaigns, etc.) Some integrations are great, others not so great (or require Zapier/Pabbly) If you have a question, software or something you want us to cover, email us at hello@womenconquerbiz.com Inspirational Nugget “You will get all you want in life if you help enough other people get what they want.” — Zig ZiglarFocus on being the best person you can be in the present moment. On doing the right thing, right now. Be good and noble now—while it still matters. Can I do the right thing and not care about credit? This is difficult because we all want to get paid for our efforts. That's why it is so challenging to start your own business and stick with it when you are not making any money in the beginning. But if I keep practicing what I do and offering value to anybody who is interested, it will pay off. I believe that is true and I look for the joy along the way to keep going. How to Build Your Product Ladder Why do you need a product ladder? How can you attract leads and increase sales even in uncertain economic times? A product ladder is a range of products varying in price and features. Product ladders make it easier for potential customers to get a sampling of your work or to jump in all the way. You can create a product ladder by breaking services into smaller chunks or offering products or services in bundles or packages. How do you get started building a product ladder? Join Jen and Shelley as they discuss how they are building their own product ladders and get their tips and tools to get it done quicker. Questions answered in this episode: How can you attract leads and increase sales even in uncertain economic times? Why do you need a product ladder? How do you get started building a product ladder? Key Insights You need to have a way to bring people in on a constant basis who are new. That will, after a few touch points, convert as clients. For wealth doesn't, neither does high-office, state or kingdom—rather, something else must be found . . . in the case of living, it is the knowledge of how to live. —EPICTETUS, DISCOURSES, 4.1.62–64 You have two essential tasks in life: to be a good person and to pursue the occupation that you love. Everything else is a waste of energy and a squandering of your potential. How does one do that? OK, that's a tougher question. But the philosophy we see from the Stoics makes it simple enough: say no to distractions, to destructive emotions, to outside pressure. Ask yourself: What is it that only I can do? What is the best use of my limited time on this planet? Try to do the right thing when the situation calls for it. Treat other people the way you would hope to be treated. And understand that every small choice and tiny matter is an opportunity to practice these larger principles. What are my tasks in this life? My tasks are to help older people share their message of wisdom, peace, and hope with the world by setting up a home studio and putting out content every week. Becoming an 'accidental entrepreneur' isn't something that's uncommon in the entrepreneurial space. We start out on one path and find that it leads us down a road that we would have never realized was possible or available to us. Your Perfect Opt-In The top marketing experts tell us to build our “business home” on “owned property,” not the “rented land” of social media. That means we need to establish and grow an email list where our most loyal and interested audience can be reached. But how do we get them to sign up? We offer them the perfect opt-in, free download, automated webinar, …. lead magnet. Then, over time, we can offer them all our products and services while we nurture and build a relationship with them. How do we know what will be the perfect, irresistible opt-in? That's what we'll discuss in this exciting and revealing episode. Words of Wisdom We overthink this whole process. Your first opt-in is really what do you know like the back of your hand that's related to something that you do and that's interesting to people? — Jen Once people sign up and opt-in to your community because of that opt-in lead magnet, then they expect more of that throughout your emails and newsletters, your offerings, all your products, all your shows, everything has got to be in alignment with whatever you're putting out there as an opt-in. That's how you're going to get a higher open rate on your emails. — Shelley Can't-Miss Resources Shelley's NEW COURSE: How to Create and Publish Consistent Content: https://agkmediastudio.vonza.com/courses/how-to-create-publish-and-distribute-content-consistently (https://agkmediastudio.vonza.com/courses/how-to-create-publish-and-distribute-content-consistently) (use coupon code AGKSAVER for early-bird free access until 11/18/22) Free Marketing Self-Assessment: https://sendfox.com/wcb (https://sendfox.com/wcb) Breaking News Marketing Brew: Customers are researching brand stances and voting with their dollar ahead of the midterms: https://www.marketingbrew.com/stories/2022/09/30/customers-are-researching-brand-stances-and-voting-with-their-dollar-ahead-of-the-midterms (https://www.marketingbrew.com/stories/2022/09/30/customers-are-researching-brand-stances-and-voting-with-their-dollar-ahead-of-the-midterms) Practice what you post (your customers are watching) — don't say one thing and do another People look at your donations, statements Tweak of the Week OmmWriter: https://ommwriter.com/ (distraction-free writing) Inspirational Nugget There is no good for a human being except what creates justice, self-control, courage, and freedom, and nothing evil except what destroys these things. — Marcus Aurelius, MeditationsWhat's the meaning of life? Why was I born? Most of us struggle with these questions. No amount of travel, reading or clever sages can give you the answer. It is not our question to ask. Instead, it is we who are being asked and our lives are the answer. You must find the answer in your actions, in living the good life—by embodying the principles of justice, self-control, courage, freedom, and abstaining from evil. Tweak of the Week https://descript.com (Descript) video editing and captioning Inspirational Nugget Epictetus once said, “If anyone would take two words to heart and take pains to govern and watch over themselves by them, they will live an impeccable and immensely tranquil life. The two words are: persist and resist.” That's great advice. But what principles should determine what we persist in and what we ought to resist? Marcus supplies that answer: reverence and justice. In other words, virtue. What do my principles tell me about persisting and resisting? Persist in love and resist hate. Business Burnout It's hard to succeed when you're not motivated. It's hard to get motivated when you're burned out. How to get your mojo back How to set reasonable goals and priorities — and stick to it Words of Wisdom Every marketing action you take is tied to a broader business goal. So how are you going to make money from sitting on social media all day? You're not. So come up with the ways that you can amplify your voice and your impact for these three to five priorities you have between now and the end of the year. What's the minimum it's going to take for that? — Jen One of the major things for me to keep consistent with content creation is I have to have a minimums framework. Content marketing is one of the few things that can help a small business build a loyal following and generate leads. This episode covers the basics, including content marketing 101, why it's essential, and getting started. This week's episode we will share content marketing concepts and strategies to grow your influence, impact, and income. Content marketing is a marketing strategy used to attract, engage, and retain an audience by creating and sharing relevant articles, videos, podcasts, and other media. This approach establishes expertise, promotes brand awareness, and keeps your business top of mind when it's time to buy what you sell. How to get started: plan your strategy Know your goal Know your target audience Preferred platforms and media Book recommendation: https://www.amazon.com/Thought-Leaders-Practice-Matt-Church/dp/0977572498 (Thought Leaders Practice) Words of WisdomTypically, when I talk about consistency, it's within the category of goals. But your content marketing should have goals attached to it. If you want to reach your goals, you have to find that thing that you like to do enough that you're going to do it consistently. — JenYou need to define your audience. Who is your audience? For most of us, as content creators and entrepreneurs, our audience is people who are like us. Summary: Marketing Campaigns 101Creating content is great... but growing your audience (and influence) starts with marketing campaigns. In other words, you have to let people know about your content, products, and services — not once, but over the course of time — to generate interest, build trust, and make sales. Marketing campaigns, when done right, check all the boxes. This fun, interactive episode reviews marketing campaigns 101 and gives you all the nuts and bolts for how to successfully put together a marketing campaign to promote your online services and digital products. We cover the 7 winning strategies behind successful marketing campaigns: Specific marketing goals (what outcome(s) would make this successful?) Marketing budget boundaries (how much time and money are you willing to spend?) Defining your target audience (hint: likely the same as your product/service audience) Selecting the right marketing channels Creating your campaign content calendar Use industry trends that lead to engagement Planning your campaign We also recommend listening to the earlier episode, https://www.womenconquerbiz.com/podcast/great-business-ideas/ (How to Launch your Ideas in 6 Weeks), with MissingLettr founder, Benjamin Dell. Watch the show on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-5YoxLEZdEo (YouTube). Words of WisdomWhen we're talking about marketing campaigns, it really is about building a structure around your content for how you're going to get it out into the world. — JenSometimes you have to try it several times to really get a feel of is this working for me? Live streaming, is that working for me? Are people going to show up? You can't do it one or two times and then say yes or no, it didn't work. You have to stick with that one for a while. But then there are bigger campaigns like launches and challenges and you have to say did I get close to my goal? Did I get enough ROI on this activity that I would do it again? Once you do find those things that really work well for you, then you can systemize and put them into your schedule. — ShelleyCan't Miss ResourcesNeed help creating a marketing campaign? https://www.womenconquerbiz.com/marketing-services/ (Reach out to Jen) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09X3RJF41 (Livecast Life: The Content Creator Lifestyle on Amazon) https://epiphanycourses.com/first-marketing-campaign/ (Building Your First Marketing Campaign? 7 Things to Do to Succeed) Show NotesBuilding your first marketing campaign: 7 things to succeedWhat are marketing campaigns? Information Overload Episode SummaryIn this inspirational and coaching episode, we'll talk about ways information overload can prevent small businesses from taking action, especially when it comes to marketing your business. Learn how to narrow your focus and choose the best information, enabling you to make decisions while feeling less overwhelmed and overloaded in the process. We believe clarity and focus will move you forward in your business journey. We also discuss our own struggles at times and offer several tops so you can move past all of the marketing (mis)information and slide behind the driver's seat and start marketing with purpose and vigor. Quick QuotesWhen I first became an entrepreneur, I thought I had to do everything. That's one of the reasons why I talk about distractions and information overload a lot. I really felt it at a significant level when I first got started. I believed that business building was a sprint, not a marathon. If you believe that things are quick and that you're behind, it's a good time to take a step back and say, no, I'm not behind. It's that building a business is difficult, and it takes time and I need to be consistently marketing and showing up. - Jen We pivoted last year. We started this new business, and we had come up with a design. It continues to evolve as you work through a perfecting process. You have to give yourself grace to say, I'm going to be learning. Even if you have done things similar in the past, each new thing requires that you work through it. So give yourself grace, understand that it's a learning process, and it's going to take time to perfect the process. - Shelley Connect with Ushttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4gqaZ96ns7jJzMMYQP-r7Q?sub_confirmation=1 (Subscribe on YouTube) to join us live Thursdays at 10 AM (Pacific/Los Angeles) https://fostergrowth.activehosted.com/f/3 (Subscribe to our newsletter) to get all the latest marketing news (emails about 2x/mo.) https://app.voiceform.com/to/s1blrgQ1wUiSycZd (Send us your marketing questions) — we would LOVE to answer your questions during a show! Hi darlings! This episode was recorded a few months ago, and yet feels right on time as we release it today. So much of what Sophia and her brilliant guest, Jen McFarland talk about rings ever more true in this time. The tides are turning in America and they are turning in the world. Direct change is coming from our diligence, practice, and care. As we look to the future and the immense amount of work ahead of us, Jen is here to teach us ways of working smarter instead of harder so we can truly get to where we are going. Some things discussed in this episode: The corporate, capitalist, world is not designed for intuitive empathetic people which can feel very isolating. Being intuitive and empathetic is absolutely a benefit and not a problem even in those spaces. We promise. When making a work schedule for yourself, it really goes best when you just do whatever activities are in alignment for that day. Maybe you spend the day on email, maybe you flit from task to task every 10 minutes, maybe it's a rest day. No matter what it looks like from the outside, doing aligned work each day will prove to be more productive than any other practice. It is so important to get help when you need it and we are all trained to not even think we need help let alone ask for it. It truly serves everyone when you get help with anything and everything that is hard for you. People you consider competition are often the best collaborators, so reach out! She is an amazing advocate and ally that helps women of color develop skills and actionable strategies to be leaders and entrepreneurs in their fields. In light of the spark of racial injustices in America, we'll be talking about white privilege and allyship and what that looks like moving forward. Also, as restaurants begin to open we'll discuss if mom and pop's are doomed or will they be able to rise from the ashes, post Corona Virus. But, of course we have to talk about food in this show. Many women get stuck in their business because they are working in an environment tailored for men. I help women conquer the world of business so they can succeed on their own terms. I evaluate women-owned businesses and provide a strategy for success. For over 12 years I've tackled business problems and provided simple, powerful solutions. I've led 7-figure projects and helped entrepreneurs and small businesses thrive. I love solving problems. It's my superpower. And for many business owners finding the right strategies, mindset, and systems to support their business takes a lot of time, money and creates a lot of stress — chiefly since the majority of the resources out there don't take into account how women do business. I teach women how to build their business, not around spreadsheets, bottom lines, and formulas, but around equity, leadership, mindset, courage, and resilience — you know, the things we are born to do. Together we will establish your domain, conquer the status quo, and claim your seat at the table. https://www.jenmcfarland.com/ Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Lucia is a pleasure instigator. She supports those who identify as women to connect to their sensuality, love the body they are in and have a sex life worth bragging about. Her journey of sexual emancipation began over 16 years ago when she took her first sensuality course. Quickly realizing the pursuit of pleasure was her calling, she became a dedicated researcher of communication, relationships and sensuality. Busting through the limitations put on a woman’s orgasm, she’s experienced over 6,000 hours of Deliberate Embodied Orgasm (full body, extended orgasm). Lucia has been featured on the Ignite Intimacy podcast, Taboo Talk, Performers Creative Lab Podcast, and discoverHER radio, as well as been featured in medium.com and bustle.com. For the past 2 years, she’s hosted a weekly livestream on OSchool, a pleasure based sex education website, as seen in Forbes, Huffington Post, Glamour and recently went viral on NOW THIS. Lucia believes that by experiencing the universe through sensual gratification, pleasurable communication, and a woman's orgasm, life has infinite possibilities. *Jen McFarland is a business systems expert, podcaster, and blogger.
