2026 Is the Year of Harvest: You're Not Late, You're Ready

In this solo episode, I'm welcoming in 2026 with what feels like a deep exhale and a powerful reframe: this is the year of harvest. After years of shedding, refining, and staying faithful through seasons that didn't always make sense, I share why I believe this is the moment where the fruit of that work finally becomes visible. We talk about what harvest really means in leadership and business—not hustling harder, but refining, simplifying, and allowing what's already working to mature. I explore why misalignment often shows up right before expansion, how guilt can surface when you want to change what you once prayed for, and why less doesn't mean failure—it often means precision. I also walk you through the different ways you can work with me in 2026, from The Growth Collective to the Brand Accelerator, Revenue Accelerator, and my in-person UNSCRIPTED retreat. This episode is an invitation to stop forcing, trust your evolution, and step into the season where your business finally matches the woman you've become. Liked this episode? In this candid and inspiring interview, Sheila Bella, founder of Pretty Rich Bosses, sits down with Destiny Dickow, Lost Artistry Lash trainer, to unpack what it really takes to build a successful beauty business when you don't feel ready, qualified, or confident yet. Sheila shares her full entrepreneurial journey — from building a multi-million-dollar brick-and-mortar permanent makeup business, losing everything during COVID, and pivoting into a second multi-million-dollar online company — all while navigating uncertainty, criticism, motherhood, faith, and leadership. This episode is a masterclass in taking action before you feel ready, selling through conversation, building systems that scale, and trusting God even when the path forward isn't clear. If you've been waiting to feel "ready" before you post, sell, hire, or grow — this conversation will shift your mindset completely. ⭐ 5 Key Points from the Episode 1. "I Wasn't Ready — But I Went Anyway" Sheila explains why waiting for confidence, clarity, or perfection keeps entrepreneurs stuck. Growth happens after action, not before it. 2. Marketing — Not Talent — Built Her Multi-Million Dollar Business Sheila breaks down how being a better marketer (not a better artist) allowed her to scale faster than others with more technical skill. 3. Sales Come from Conversations, Not Posts Whether booking artists, selling events, or scaling online, Sheila emphasizes one truth: more conversations = more sales. 4. Systems Are What Scale a Business From hiring early to building automations, email lists, and backend processes, Sheila shares what people don't see behind seven-figure brands. 5. Enter the Glory Zone with Dr. Edith Davis - The Secret of Successfully Reaching Your Destiny - The Guide for Spiritual Believ

As we look toward the future and the coming year 2026, the body of Christ must be prepared as a bride without spot, blemish, or wrinkle. Dr. Edith Davis explains that this preparation is not a passive event but a deliberate "beautification process" rooted in the renewal of the mind. Drawing from 2 Timothy 1:7, Dr. Davis breaks down the components of a sound mind—being cool, calm, collected, and disciplined—and explains why the soul is the ultimate "linchpin" in our spiritual walk. This teaching serves as a wake-up call to move past spiritual ignorance, which Dr. Davis identifies as a leading cause of "collateral damage" in marriages, families, and personal lives. By learning to recognize the voice of the Father versus the suggestions of the enemy, believers can move from being lukewarm to becoming "islands of salt and light" in a darkening world. Key Points from the Teaching: -- The Beautification Process: How we must work on ourselves through discipline to become the bride of Christ without spot or wrinkle. -- The Sound Mind Framework: Defining a sound mind as one that is balanced, self-controlled, and guarded by the Word of God. -- Faith vs. Fear: Understanding that God flourishes in an atmosphere of faith, while the enemy requires an atmosphere of fear to operate. -- The Soul as the Linchpin: Recognizing that while our spirit is perfectly transformed, our soul (mind, will, emotions) must choose to align with the spirit to win. -- Overcoming Ignorance: Why a lack of knowledge regarding our authority in Christ leads to unnecessary destruction in our personal lives and marriages. -- Inviting God's Will: The necessity of inviting God into our lives and obeying His Word to experience the reality of "Thy kingdom come" on earth. Scriptures for Further Study -- 2 Timothy 1:7 -- Hosea 4:6 -- Matthew 7:24-27 -- Matthew 6:9-10 -- Philippians 4:13 This is episode 387. +++++++ Check out my new website: https://www.enterthegloryzone.org/ MY AUDIO BOOK IS NOW AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE You can Divorce Proof Your Marriage by understanding the Secret Keys of Love. We often feel like we are falling behind in life. However, when we feel this way, it is usually because our personal expectations and God's intentions are not lining up. Key Points1. The amount of time something takes is not evidence of God's displeasure. We frequently look for visible progress to validate that we are doing well, but God's presence is not measured by visible metrics.Biblical Example: Joseph. While his journey was difficult, Scripture does not describe him as being "behind"; it describes him as being "accompanied" because the Lord was with him.The Shift: Instead of asking, "Why hasn't this happened yet?", we should ask, "What is God forming in me that could not be formed any other way?"2. God redeems time; He does not rewind it. We cannot go back to fix the past, but God promises a different kind of restoration.Scripture: “So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten…” — Joel 2:25.The Definition: In the Bible, restoration is not merely replacement; it is redemption. True restoration results in fruitfulness that actually outpaces the damage done.3. Capacity is built before responsibility is given. God often uses delaying seasons to prepare our character for future assignments.Biblical Example: Moses. His time in Egypt taught him power, but his time in the wilderness taught him dependence. It was this dependence, not power, that was the specific qualification God was looking for.The Question: We must be willing to ask ourselves, "What would break in me if God moved faster than I'm ready for?".Closing Thought: Regret vs. Conviction As we look at our timeline, we must distinguish between two powerful feelings:• Regret looks backward and paralyzes us.• Conviction looks forward and invites us to respond.Scripture Focus “...being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” — Philippians 1:6.

Ep 472 The Real AI: Authenticity + Intention in Life & Business with Brian McRae

Richer Soul, Life Beyond Money

Play Episode Listen Later Dec 23, 2025 52:51

The Real AI: Authenticity + Intention in Life and Business   In a world where AI can write emails, produce video, and even mimic your voice, the greatest competitive advantage left is being human. Brian McRae reminds us that emotional loyalty, being known, valued, remembered, is what creates opportunity, referrals, purpose, and a life of meaningful success. Social media may get you attention, but it will never create devotion. Relationships do.   If you've been feeling alone, stuck, or unsure how to expand your circle of opportunity, this conversation is your roadmap back to connection.   Key Points with Reflection Questions:  Emotional Loyalty Is More Powerful Than Marketing. Most loyalty is transactional or habitual. But emotional loyalty, the kind your favorite small restaurant gives you when they remember your name and your kids, is what transforms your business and life. Brian built an entire mortgage business through emotional loyalty created at his monthly event. Reflection Question: Who in your life deserves more intentional appreciation from you this week? Authenticity + Intentionality = The New AI. Brian says the most important "AI" in business isn't artificial intelligence. It's Authentic and Intentional actions. A handwritten note, a thoughtful question, or genuine curiosity carries more power than any automated funnel. Reflection Question: Where can you replace automation with authentic intention? The World Rewards Generosity, Not Neediness. Most networking fails because people lead with "What's in it for me?" Brian teaches the opposite: Lead with gratitude, curiosity, and generosity, and doors open that marketing can't touch. Reflection Question: What's one simple generosity action you can take in the next 24 hours? Referrals Come From Partners, Not Clients. Most people confuse their client with their referral partner. Referral partners don't want to be sold to. They want partnership, support, and value. Brian's business grew by helping other professionals grow theirs. Reflection Question: Who are your true referral partners, and how are you helping them win? Relationships Require Rhythm and Systems. You don't need the perfect CRM. You need the one you actually use. Brian says: Identify your top relationships, Create a connection plan, Put follow-up time on your calendar, Track what matters, and Your calendar reveals your priorities. Your CRM reveals your influence. Reflection Question: What relationship rhythm do you need to protect weekly? Success Requires Facing Challenges, Not Avoiding Them. Brian has worked with and coached thousands of successful people. Their secret? They don't avoid challenges — they grow through them. They look for opportunity in the obstacle. Reflection Question: What challenge are you resisting that might actually be your path to growth Faith, Wisdom, and Mentors Shape Everything. Brian openly shares that faith transformed his life, and that mentors changed his direction. Success isn't achieved alone. It's shaped by the wisdom of people who've walked the road before us. Reflection Question: Which wise voice should you be listening to more closely right now?   Money Learning from Brian McRae: Brian uses Profit First not because it's trendy, but because he never wants financial surprises again. ·       Profit First gave him:      Peace of mind      Predictable cash flow      Confidence his taxes and expenses were covered      The freedom to build a coaching business in alignment with his strengths   He described Profit First as a system that eliminates stress and supports life-aligned decisions. In Richer Soul terms: It's a structure that creates space for purpose.   Key Takeaway: Success is not built on followers, funnels, or tactics. Success is built on intentional generosity, consistent relational rhythms, and becoming someone others want to advocate for. Emotional loyalty is the last unfair advantage in a world of automation.   Bio: Brian McRae built an award-winning, referral-based mortgage practice that placed him among the top 1% of originators nationwide. But along the way, he discovered a surprising truth: success isn't about being the best salesperson in the room—it's about becoming the most trusted advisor in someone's life. Today, Brian coaches loan officers, financial advisors, and attorneys on how to build rich relationships that generate referrals and grow their businesses—without sacrificing their faith, family, or fitness. His clients learn how to attract business instead of chase it, freeing up time and energy for what matters most. Through his frameworks, the Trusted Advisor Playbook and the Momentum System, Brian gives leaders a step-by-step plan to win more clients by first winning more trust. If you want to grow your practice through trust instead of tactics, Brian is the coach who can show you how.   Links: https://www.linkedin.com/in/briankmcrae/   https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61563450897284  https://briankmcrae.com/   Which insight from Brian resonated with you the most? FAN MAIL--We would love YOUR feedback--Send us a Text MessageThe candles are burning low, Advent is nearly complete, and a quiet figure steps into focus: Saint Joseph. We open the door to the workshop where silence is eloquent and obedience changes history, exploring how a man with no recorded words still teaches us what fatherhood, courage, and reverence look like when God draws near.We walk through Scripture's testimony that names Joseph as father, son of David, and guardian of the Messiah, and we reflect on why legal and spiritual fatherhood are not lesser realities but profound icons of the Father's love. Drawing on Scott Hahn's insights and the wisdom of the saints in his book "Joy to the World", we consider the angel's charge to Joseph, his decisive yes, and the way that choice shelters the Incarnation. From Nazareth to Egypt and back, Joseph's path shows how vocation is lived: unhurried, attentive, and ready to act when God speaks. Along the way, we revisit how the birth of Christ reshaped time itself and why attempts to neutralize our calendars can't erase the hinge of grace.Together, we ponder Benedict XVI's vision of authentic fatherhood as service to life and growth, and we bless the hidden faithfulness of fathers who labor without applause. As carols rise and Christmas nears, we let Joseph guide our imagination and prayer, learning to measure our days by presence, protection, and quiet love. If the true reward is simply to be with Christ, Joseph shows us how to arrive and adore. If this reflection stirred your heart, subscribe, share the episode with someone who needs encouragement, and leave a review to help others discover the podcast. FAN MAIL--We would love YOUR feedback--Send us a Text MessageOne audacious night on the Mississippi may have decided the Civil War. We dive into the capture of New Orleans in 1862 and show how Farragut's risky run past Forts Jackson and St. Philip didn't just seize a city—it fractured the Confederacy's map, gutted its finances, and reshaped the war's momentum. New Orleans wasn't just a symbol; it was the South's engine: the largest population center, a world-class port, a shipbuilding hub, and the gateway for cotton exports and foreign credit. We unpack why the Crescent City mattered so much and how the Confederate high command miscalculated the threat. As Grant pressed from Tennessee, Richmond drained New Orleans of troops to defend Corinth's rail hub, leaving the Gulf approach weak and the river poorly protected. The real heartbreak lies with the unfinished ironclads—CSS Louisiana and the CSS Mississippi. Union officers later admitted that a battle-ready Louisiana in the narrow channel could have ravaged Farragut's wooden fleet. Timing, not just technology, proved decisive. From Porter's mortar bombardment to Farragut's pre-dawn dash, the action was fast and consequential. When New Orleans fell, the Union claimed the river's mouth and effectively split the South. The ripple effects were brutal: cotton exports collapsed, international credit evaporated, and inflation surged as the Confederate government printed unbacked money. Supply lines from Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana withered, starving armies and cities of food, salt, and matériel. We also explore the powerful counterfactual: if New Orleans had held—its shipyards humming, ports reopened, and ironclads unleashed—European recognition might have become more than a dream. If you're ready to rethink where the war's true turning point lies, this story delivers a sharper lens on strategy, logistics, and the cost of misjudgment. Listen, share with a history-loving friend, and leave a review to tell us: was the war really lost on the night New Orleans fell?Key Points from the Episode:• New Orleans as the South's economic engine and largest port• A divided city with weak support for secession among voters• The Anaconda Plan's focus on the Mississippi River• Confederate misread of the threat and troop shifts to Corinth• Unfinished ironclads Louisiana and Mississippi as lost opportunities• Porter's mortar bombardment and Farragut's breakthrough• Strategic split of the Confederacy after the city falls• Financial shock: lost exports, credit, and spiraling inflation• Logistics cutoffs from the western breadbasket and long-term effects• Counterfactuals showing how completion of ironclads could change outcomesOther resources: Want to leave a review? We unpack the testing effect—why retrieval practice beats rereading—and show how spacing transforms effortful recall into durable knowledge you can trust under pressure. Instead of piling on more beads, we teach you to tie the string: close the book, recall from memory, then verify. Along the way, we break the familiarity trap that makes notes feel mastered and share simple drills that build real understanding. We walk through the science in clear language, drawing on our book of the day "Make It Stick" by Peter Brown, Henry Roediger, and Mark McDaniel, and translate it into habits you can start today. You'll learn how desirable difficulty drives consolidation, why the edge of forgetting is the sweet spot, and how multiple retrieval routes protect recall weeks later. Expect practical prompts you can use with books, lectures, and skills: blank-page summaries, three-point recaps, low-stakes quizzes, and flashcards that force an answer before you flip.If pop quizzes used to spike your heart rate, this conversation reframes them as quiet gifts. Why a Virgin Birth?

Hope Church Johnson City

Play Episode Listen Later Dec 17, 2025 34:17

The virgin birth stands as one of Christianity's most profound mysteries, yet its necessity reveals layers of divine intentionality that transform our understanding of redemption. This exploration takes us beyond the familiar nativity scene into four compelling reasons why God chose this miraculous path. First, it fulfills ancient prophecy from Isaiah 7:14, where God himself promised a sign—a virgin conceiving Emmanuel, God with us. Second, it demonstrates that salvation originates entirely from God's initiative, not human effort or invention. Just as an adopted child doesn't initiate their own adoption, we didn't initiate our salvation—God did. Third, the virgin birth fulfills crucial genealogies traced through Matthew and Luke, proving Jesus descended from Abraham, Judah, and David as prophesied. Remarkably, Matthew's genealogy includes unlikely women—Tamar representing sin, Rahab saved by faith, and Ruth redeemed by Boaz—forming a salvation narrative within the family tree itself. Finally, and perhaps most astoundingly, the virgin birth gives glory to God from the heavens themselves. The ancient constellations, known for millennia, tell the gospel story in the night sky—from Virgo (the seed) to Leo (the Lion of Judah). The heavens truly declare God's glory, proclaiming redemption day after day, night after night. Without the virgin birth, Jesus would have inherited Adam's sinful nature, unable to be the perfect, unblemished sacrifice we desperately needed. This Christmas, we celebrate not just a baby in a manger, but the most wonder-filled event in the universe—God's perfect plan unfolding exactly as promised.**Sermon Notes: The Necessity of the Virgin Birth****Introduction:**- The message focuses on the necessity and importance of the virgin birth in the Christmas narrative.- Central question: Why was the virgin birth a part of God's plan and why is it necessary for Christ's birth?**Key Points:**1. **Fulfillment of Prophecy:**  - Isaiah 7:14 and Matthew 1:23 predict and fulfill the prophecy of a virgin birth, with the name Emmanuel meaning "God with us."2. **Demonstration of God's Initiative:**  - Salvation originates from God's plan and power, not human effort.  - The miraculous conception showcases God's sovereignty and divine planning.  - Highlights the adoption narrative: God's initiative mirrors a parent choosing to adopt, emphasizing God's choice in our salvation.3. **Fulfillment of Genealogies:**  - Jesus' lineage is traced through the genealogies presented in Luke and Matthew, emphasizing his legal and human heritage.  - This underlines theological points that Jesus is from the line of David, fulfilling Jewish messianic expectations.4. **Glory from the Heavens:**  - Psalm 19:1-6 states that the heavens declare God's glory, emphasizing the constant, universal message of redemption written in the stars.  - The constellations hold symbolic meanings tied to the Gospel narrative, as each can be associated with Christ.5. **Jesus as God Incarnate:**  - The virgin birth establishes Jesus as both fully God and fully human.  - This ensures his sinlessness and ability to be the perfect sacrifice for humanity's sins.**Practical Applications:**- **Personal Reflection:** - Reflect on the divine nature of salvation, recognizing it as God's initiative rather than human effort. - Embrace the foundational beliefs of Christianity, reaffirming faith in key doctrines such as the virgin birth.- **Worship:** - Use the story of the virgin birth as a focus for worship and thanksgiving, celebrating God's perfect plan. - Recognize creation, including the heavens, as continually proclaiming God's glory and message of redemption.- **Evangelism:** - Share the story of the virgin birth as a testament to God's power and plan, using it to explain the significance of Jesus' divine and human nature.**Discussion Questions:**1. Why is it important for Christians to hold to the belief in the virgin birth? How does it underpin other aspects of Christian theology?2. How does understanding the fulfillment of prophecy through the virgin birth strengthen your faith in God's plans?3. In what ways does the narrative of the stars proclaiming God's message of redemption impact your view on creation and God's sovereignty?4. How can you explain the significance of the virgin birth to those who are skeptical of its necessity or belief?5. How does the genealogy of Jesus revealed in the Bible strengthen our understanding of God's promises and faithfulness? These notes, applications, and questions are designed to help distill the sermon's core message and facilitate deeper understanding and conversation.

Spiritual Leadership: How to Inspire by Being Inspired   Most leaders try to think their way to clarity — only to get stuck in anxiety, over analysis, and pressure. In this episode, Dr. Yosi Amram reveals a different approach: using the wisdom in your body, not the noise in your mind. His story moves from trauma, military service, and a meteoric rise as a tech CEO… to a spiritual awakening that shattered his identity and led him into a lifetime of inner work.   Key Points with reflection prompts: Your Body Doesn't Lie. Your Ego Does. Your body gives you truth signals long before your mind is ready to accept them. Reflection: Where in your life do you feel tension when you say something you "should" believe Slowing Down Isn't Weak — It's Leadership. "Slow is smooth. Smooth is fast." Reflection: Where is rushing keeping you from clarity Spiritual Intelligence (SQ) Complements Emotional Intelligence. Qualities like humility, presence, purpose, gratitude, and compassion directly correlate to better leadership outcomes. Reflection: Which SQ quality is calling for your attention right now? Awakening Isn't Pretty — It's Disorienting. Yosi's awakening experience triggered a manic episode, cost him his company, and yet became the doorway to his purpose. Reflection: What painful event in your life later revealed itself as guidance? The Future Will Reward Heart, Not Hustle. AI can mimic empathy — but it can't feel. Human connection, presence, creativity, and compassion will define the next era of meaningful work. Reflection: What human quality do you want to cultivate intentionally?   Money Learning from Yosi Amram: Yosi's early money story began with parents who fled Iraq with nothing, rebuilding their lives from tents and scarcity. From that foundation he learned that money creates opportunity — it's what allowed him to attend MIT and Harvard through the support of a relative. But he also learned that money is psychologically loaded: it carries the weight of our upbringing, our fears, our beliefs about success, and our ego. As he shared, our bodies tell the truth while our egos distort it — and that shows up in financial decisions too. When leaders chase money for validation, status, or urgency, they climb ladders against the wrong wall. But when they slow down, get grounded, and lead from inner alignment, money becomes a tool for purpose rather than identity.   Key Takeaway: The deeper truth you're seeking isn't outside of you — it's in your breath, your body, and your willingness to slow down long enough to hear it.   Bio: Yosi Amram, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist, a CEO leadership coach, a best-selling and award-winning author, and a pioneeing researcher in the field of spiritual intelligence. Previously the founder and CEO of two companies that he has led through successful IPOs, Yosi has coached over 100 CEOs many of whom have built companies with thousands of employees and revenues in the billions.  With engineering degrees from MIT, an MBA from Harvard, and a Ph.D. in Psychology from Sofia University, his pioneering research in the field of spiritual intelligence, has received over 1000 citations.  As a C-Suite, Amazon, and B&N best-selling author of the Nautilus Book Award Gold Medal-winning Spiritually Intelligent Leadership: How to Inspire by Being Inspired, Yosi is committed awakening greater spiritual intelligence (SI) in himself and the world. Yes, the CIA tortured inmates suspected of terrorism in the immediate aftermath of 9/11. Two of the primary men involved with creating this program are Mormon, one was called to be a Bishop after taking $81mn from the government to torture people. We discuss the report, how it came to light, some of the key figures along the way, and the fight over the FOIA release of the report in the courts. After that we talk about The Report, wherein Adam Driver plays Dan Jones who led the investigation at the direction of Senator Dianne Feinstein. Then we have some happy news about libraries getting funding that was promised to them.   CW: torture, suicide   Show Notes:  Torture: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torture#Punishment  Torture in the United States: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torture_in_the_United_States#History_of_U.S._Accession  US Senate report on CIA torture "The Torture Report": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._Senate_report_on_CIA_torture  The Torture Memos: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torture_Memos  7 Key Points form the C.I.A. Ep 470 Building Wealth   Keeping Your Money is  Rare Skill!   How to Actually Keep Your Money: Why Financial Literacy Matters More Than Income   Most people think their money problems would disappear if they just made more. But as financial coach Alanna Abramsky shared in this episode of Richer Soul, that belief keeps countless high earners feeling stressed, behind, and ashamed. Alanna has worked with realtors, lawyers, doctors, professional athletes—and even with impressive income, many still live paycheck to paycheck. The issue isn't intelligence or effort. It's that no one ever taught them the systems, habits, and emotional tools needed to keep money once they earn it.   This conversation is an invitation to step out of shame, build simple and sustainable systems, and take back control of your financial life—in a way that supports a richer, calmer, more intentional life.   Key Points from the Conversation: High Income Doesn't Equal Financial Confidence. Many people with strong incomes still feel financially anxious because no one taught them the fundamentals—intentional spending, tracking, and planning. Income is not the problem. Leakage is. Systems Beat Willpower Every Time. Alanna helps clients set up automations for savings, debt payments, and long-term goals. Once systems run in the background, money stops being an emotional decision. "Surprise" Expenses Aren't Surprises. Car repairs, holidays, insurance renewals, home maintenance—these predictable events often blow up a client's budget. Alanna uses "irregular expense funds" so these moments stop becoming emergencies. The Emotional Side of Money Needs Healing Too. Shame, avoidance, scarcity, or early trauma often drive money behavior. The numbers can't shift until the underlying story does. For many clients, therapy and financial coaching work hand-in-hand. Women Need Accessible, Judgment-Free Financial Education. A massive wealth transfer is coming—and much of it is going to women. Yet many women still feel intimidated or excluded from financial conversations. Alanna's mission is to change that by creating safe, empowering spaces to learn and lead.   Money Learning from Alanna: Alanna's core lesson is simple: Your money grows when your systems do. Most people try to "save whatever's left," then wonder why nothing is left. She flips the model: Pay yourself first Automate the habits you can't trust willpower to maintain. Track your net worth so you can see progress. Treat "irregular expenses" as predictable. Focus on behavior change more than spreadsheets. Money confidence isn't born from earning more—it's built from clarity and consistency.   Key Takeaway: Financial clarity isn't about perfection—it's about the right systems, the right support, and the courage to face your money with honesty. When you simplify your approach and automate your success, money becomes a tool for freedom rather than stress.   Bio: Alanna has been financial coaching for over 10 years and has helped more than 1,000 Canadians achieve their goals faster than they ever imagined. She started Broad Money with the mission of empowering women+ to take control of their financial futures, offering support and guidance every step of the way. Alanna helps people make money while they sleep by using personalized and actionable strategies that deliver results. Her goal is to help clients kick ass and conquer their finances with a clear, results-driven roadmap. Alanna currently lives in Toronto with her wife, Jacqueline, and their fur-baby, George. In her spare time, she can be found RV'ing across North America, mushroom foraging, visiting local breweries and wineries, and hiking.   Links: Website: www.broadmoney.ca   Instagram: @broad.money  LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/alannaabramsky/   #RicherSoul #FinancialLiteracy #WomenAndMoney #MoneyMindset #WealthBuilding #FinancialFreedom #PersonalFinance #LifeDesign #MoneyCoaching #IntentionalLiving   Watch the full episode on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@richersoul Richer Soul Life Beyond Money. This week on Mini Miracles from Minor Moments, I'm sharing a heartfelt reflection on the gentle art of letting go. Life shifts in ways we never expect—retirement, changing family roles, loss, health changes, or simply entering a new season of life. These transitions often arrive without warning, yet they carry blessings that help us grow in emotional wellness and clarity. As we step into December, I invite you to pause, breathe, and welcome the gifts that come with aging gracefully. So many of the roles we've held—caregiver, organizer, the "strong one"—can quietly outgrow us. In this conversation, I explore how releasing what no longer fits allows peace to settle in. I share small joys that brighten my mornings, from fresh laundry to quiet prayer to a playful puppy at my side. These ordinary moments remind us that joy has a way of meeting us right where we are. And as the year wraps up, we can gently honor the past while opening our hearts to the opportunities waiting in the new year. Key Points How transitions act as invitations to new forms of purpose and clarity Recognizing when old roles or labels no longer serve our emotional health Finding joy in small daily moments—tea, fresh air, sunrises, and simple routines The comfort of pets, friendships, memories, and shared stories Seeing retirement and later-life changes as openings for growth Welcoming fresh opportunities in the coming year—creativity, new connections, and new goals Encouragement to shift thought patterns, seek support, and build self-confidence Thank you for joining me for this episode of Mini Miracles from Minor Moments. The conversation emphasizes the importance of early identification of concerning behaviors, meaningful parent engagement, the necessity of consistent training, and the critical role of data collection in improving school safety practices. The episode underscores that threat assessment is not a discipline tool, but a preventive, intervention-focused process designed to keep students on a positive pathway.KEY POINTS:1. The new BTAM report shifts from analyzing individual incidents to examining systems and processes.2. Schools need stronger structures for lower-level concerns, parent engagement, and ongoing training.3. Data collection and consistent review are major improvement opportunities.

FAN MAIL--We would love YOUR feedback--Send us a Text MessageWhat if the closest brush with nuclear war didn't happen in 1962, but in the 1980s—and what if a prayerful act in Rome influenced events that rewired the calculus of the Cold War? We follow that thread from a field in Portugal to a tense global standoff, connecting the story of Fatima to a series of world-shaping decisions. We begin with a clear, accessible Fatima 101: the 1917 apparitions, the three shepherd children, the call to pray the rosary for peace, and the Miracle of the Sun that drew tens of thousands. From there, we introduce Sister Lucia's later testimony and the scholarship behind Fatima's Mysteries: Mary's Message to the Modern Age, highlighting the spiritual and historical stakes that kept drawing popes, pilgrims, and skeptics to the same question—can prayer and penance really influence history? The narrative pivots to 1984. Pope John Paul II consecrates the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on March 25. Weeks later, on May 13, the Soviet Northern Fleet suffers the catastrophic Severmorsk explosion, crippling its missile stockpiles and degrading strike capacity. Around the same time, intelligence revelations—codenamed Albatross—signal to Soviet leadership that their command-and-control bunkers are compromised, tilting deterrence and making escalation look suicidal. Whether you see providence, prudence, or a powerful mix, the timing and implications are hard to ignore.Across the episode, we reflect on how Fatima's core message—conversion, prayer, and responsibility—intersects with realpolitik, shaping choices that defuse crises and open paths to peace. We share recommended readings, connect to past episodes on John Paul II and modern Catholic history, and ask a practical question for today's world: if moral strength helped bend the arc of the twentieth century, what would it look like to exercise that strength now?If this exploration challenged your assumptions or gave you new insight, subscribe, share the show with a friend, and leave a review so others can find it. Coaching, not managing, is the true work of effective leadership. Trust is built in the “stinky locker room,” not the corner office. Culture requires values, behavior, and consistency — not quick fixes. Purpose gives meaning beyond the product and unites people around impact. Clarity about “what an A looks like” prevents conflict and accelerates performance. Leaders must remove cultural toxins early, even when performance is high. Ego destroys leadership; empathy and awareness enable it. Leadership is not about the leader — it is about helping people step into the best version of themselves. ----- ----more---- Your Intended Message is the podcast about how you can boost your career and business success by honing your communication skills. Ever been told your labs are "normal," but you're still dealing with crushing fatigue, brain fog, weird digestive issues, or stubborn weight loss resistance—and secretly wondered if it's all in your head? In this episode, I unpack why that experience is heartbreakingly common for women and how a system built on male bodies has failed to truly understand female hormone balance, metabolism, and gut health. I share how, for most of medical history, women were treated as "small men" in research. Drug trials, diagnostic criteria, and lab ranges were based on male physiology, while our cycles, hormones, and unique digestive health patterns were labeled "too variable." That gap is still affecting you today—whether you're in perimenopause, struggling with IBS and bloating, or dragging yourself through the day with low energy and brain fog. Key Points in This Episode • How women were systematically excluded from research—and what that means for your labs, medications, and "normal" ranges when you don't feel normal at all. • The lingering legacy of "hysteria" and why women's symptoms—fatigue, pain, gut issues, anxiety—still get dismissed, minimized, or blamed on stress. • What actually happens in your brain, nervous system, hormones, and gut when you're not believed, and how that can worsen IBS, inflammation, and metabolic symptoms. • Seven practical practices to reclaim your voice in the medical system—how to document patterns, ask better questions, use stronger language, and keep going until you find someone who listens. This conversation is about giving you context for why you've felt dismissed—and tools so you stop doubting yourself. If you're tired of being told "everything looks fine" while your energy, hormone balance, gut health, and metabolism clearly say otherwise, this episode will help you see that your body isn't the problem. But there was a victimhood to that because if I believed that I was being taken advantage of, I could then be resentful to be taken advantage of, which would then just perpetuate the narrative of, well, Julie just has to do it herself. No one's gonna show up for her. She's just gotta do it. Which would then keep me in the driver's seat and in control, which would continue to perpetuate that narrative.” - Julie Solomon  “  Our minds are wired for survival, and if you have trauma, they're doubly wired for survival, right? Because you had to make it through a really unsafe environment that you were growing up in, or some event that happened that you had to survive. And so your mind is almost more programmed to keep you alive and to be hypervigilant. I work with a lot of people with PTSD and so we're deprogramming a lot of that and, and we're having to build safety and trust with it. And the other thing that we have to do is we have to befriend this part of us.” - Joy Shaw GUEST RESOURCES: Website: https://www.joyshaw.com/ IG: https://www.instagram.com/alchemizewithjoy RESOURCES: ✨ Unscripted: My First In-Person Retreat in 2+ Years — Now Accepting Applications If you've felt your voice no longer matches the woman you've become, this intimate 2-day retreat in Nashville (Feb 5–6, 2026) is for you. What happened at COP30? The key points on cutting emissions, adapting to a warming world, and raising the finance to pay for it

The Energy Gang

The COP30 climate talks in Belem wrapped up over the weekend, and reactions to the outcome were sharply divided. Simon Stiell, Executive Secretary of the UNFCCC, said “climate cooperation is still alive…we're undeniably still in it and we are fighting back.” Others said the COP had been another failure, with a final statement that amounted to “a form of climate denial”.To make sense of what really happened at COP30, and where the talks leave the global effort on climate change, host Ed Crooks is joined by three regular Energy Gang contributors who have been following the negotiations closely. Amy Harder is the national energy correspondent at the news service Axios, Lisa Jacobson is the president of the Business Council for Sustainable Energy, and Simon Evans is deputy editor of the website Carbon Brief. Together they discuss the arguments over COP30's statement on fossil fuels, the rise of climate adaptation as a key priority, and hopes for increasing flows of capital to lower-income countries.A pledge to triple adaptation finance for developing countries by 2035 is attracting a lot of scrutiny. Lower-income countries are pushing for clear plans for delivery, not just vague aspirations. What could those plans look like? Another key issue is China's complicated role in the energy transition. It is leading the way in manufacturing and deploying low-carbon energy technologies. But it is still adding coal-fired generation capacity at a rapid pace. Does it make sense to see China as a climate leader? It is a complex picture. The world is still off track for the Paris Agreement's climate goals, even after the latest round of country pledges on emissions, known as Nationally Determined Contributions. But solar, wind and storage are still on declining cost trends, and are making significant progress in many countries. Finally, Ed speaks with Gianpiero Nacci, who's Managing Director for Climate Strategy and Delivery at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, for a focused discussion on climate finance. Gianpiero explains why multilateral development banks such as the EBRD are being asked to do more, what makes adaptation harder to fund than mitigation, and what the new COP30 to COP31 roadmap means for climate finance, as focus shifts to next year's meeting, which will be held in Turkey a year from now.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Leadership coach Natasha Skolny joins Minter Dial to explore authentic leadership through the lens of her figure skating background. Based in Toronto, Skolny works with high-achieving women seeking to lead on their own terms whilst shedding corporate armour. The conversation examines how sports cultivate self-knowledge, the challenge of balancing authenticity with professional expectations, and why genuine connection matters more than conformity. From navigating social media's impact on future leaders to understanding the difference between being yourself and truly knowing yourself, this episode challenges conventional leadership wisdom whilst emphasising the power of vulnerability and presence in creating meaningful impact. Key Points: 1. Corporate Armour and Authenticity: Women leaders often conform to masculine leadership styles to be heard, particularly in boardrooms. Dropping this protective armour and leading authentically—through vulnerability and genuine connection—creates more impactful leadership than maintaining a protective facade. 2. Conversation as Leadership's Highest Tool: Intentional, present conversations build trust and connection with teams. In an AI-driven world focused on efficiency, creating space for genuine human interaction—understanding what matters to people beyond their work output—distinguishes exceptional leadership from mere management.

Feeling stuck in weight loss resistance in midlife, even though you're walking, eating "pretty healthy," and doing all the things? In this episode, I sit down with Michelle, a former physical therapist turned yoga teacher, trainer, and health coach, to talk about what your metabolism actually needs after 40—and why more cardio is rarely the answer. We get honest about busy schedules, back pain, fear of lifting heavier weights, and that nagging feeling that you "should" be doing more, all while your energy and motivation are slipping. We break down the real difference between steps, cardio, and strength training, and how midlife changes in muscle mass, hormones, and stress tolerance mean your body needs a smarter, more strategic approach. If you've been worried about injury, confused by conflicting advice online, or frustrated that your efforts aren't showing up on the scale, this conversation will help you understand what to focus on next—without an all-or-nothing mindset. Key Points (full details inside the episode) Why daily movement and short, consistent strength sessions beat long, draining cardio for midlife metabolism and long-term health. How muscle loss after 40 affects weight loss resistance, bone health, and injury risk—and the simple way to start rebuilding strength at home. The mistake of over-exercising and under-eating, and how too much stress on the body can work against your hormones and keep the weight on. What a "strong core" really is (hint: it's not just abs) and how it protects your back, posture, and everyday movement as you age. If you're a midlife woman wanting better metabolism, less weight loss resistance, and a stronger, more resilient body without punishing workouts, this episode will give you a clear "why" behind lifting, yoga, walking, and choosing the right kind of movement for your season of life. I don't talk about where I went to university. I don't talk about when I got married. I don't go through how many kids I have. I don't go through all the different trainings that I did and certifications and the fact that I'm a CSP speaker and because all of that stuff is just, not really relevant.
