Host Jeff opens the June 17, 2026 episode with a personal and prophetic tone, laying out two central subjects for the broadcast: the UFC Freedom 250 spectacle and the geopolitical consequences of the Iran conflict. He frames much of the episode through a religious lens—inviting listeners to pick between two spiritual paths—and plays the recurring show segment "Word on Word," where two Bible passages are presented and discussed. Jeff also shares a vivid personal anecdote about hearing shofar-like sounds that unsettled his dog and wife as an eerie prelude to the program. The show examines a viral post that cast the UFC event as more than a sporting spectacle—claiming it functioned as a public ceremony under Admiralty Law to restore American sovereignty. Jeff summarizes the post's timeline (from an appeal to return to God on April 18 through a National Prayer Day, a royal visit, Federal Reserve leadership changes, and the UFC event) and weighs which elements contain truth, which are symbolic, and which look staged. He discusses symbolic details listeners flagged—gold-fringed flags, the beehive emblem tied to Masonic imagery, and the Military District of Washington reference during the colors presentation. Jeff breaks down the on-the-ground happenings at the UFC: the rain delay commentators called a miraculous diversion, the viral fighter moment that ended with a controversial claim about Michelle Obama, the alleged Donald Trump Jr. DM controversy with commentator Daniel Cormier, and Joe Rogan's role in handling the mic. He argues the event functioned as a powerful "bread and circus" that rallied patriotic messaging while the political and legal transition narratives circulated in online patriot circles. Switching to foreign policy, Jeff provides a narrative of recent U.S.-Iran kinetic actions beginning February 28, assessing them as part of a larger banking and strategic campaign. He traces military operations that degraded Iran's capabilities, the closure of the Strait of Hormuz during "Operation Freedom," and how U.S. energy and re-industrialization gains factor into the strategic picture. Jeff situates Israel's cooperation, Hezbollah's role, and the wider alignment of Russia, China, India, and Iran within an eschatological framework—arguing the current moves are reshaping alliances and could presage larger conflicts tied to end-times prophecy. Throughout the episode Jeff mixes analysis with pointed cultural and spiritual commentary: criticisms of global elites, references to Noahide laws and Commonwealth legal trends, and concerns about ritualistic abuses and child trafficking. He acknowledges the mixing of genuine legal or geopolitical facts with conspiratorial interpretation and invites listeners to discern truth through faith. The broadcast closes with Jeff announcing a prayer meeting, sharing a personal health update that will affect his schedule, and ending the show with two songs he says complete a narrative begun by the opening track. Today, Jess, Les, and Algene take stock of a rapidly shifting standoff with Iran. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has announced that Operation Epic Fury has concluded, with the U.S. moving to a more defensive posture. At the same time, Operation Freedom—aimed at reopening the Strait of Hormuz and escorting commercial shipping—was launched and then paused within roughly a day, as reports emerged that the U.S., Iran, and Pakistan may be nearing a one-page framework for a broader deal. What do we actually know about the emerging one-page deal framework? Why hasn't Congress forced a War Powers vote after the 60-day deadline—and what does that say about political incentives on both sides? Welcome to The Times of Israel's Daily Briefing, your 20-minute audio update on what's happening in Israel, the Middle East and the Jewish world. Military correspondent Emanuel Fabian joins host Amanda Borschel-Dan for today's episode. US President Donald Trump on Sunday rejected Iran’s latest proposal to end the war with the US and Israel, calling it unacceptable. Meanwhile, Trump said the United States would on Monday morning begin an effort to “guide” stranded ships out of the Strait of Hormuz, which he is branding "Operation Freedom." Fabian fills us in on an IDF briefing he attended on Friday, which assessed the Iran war's achievements so far. Amid constant tit-for-tat explosive conflict between Hezbollah and the IDF, the ceasefire doesn't exist in southern Lebanon, states Fabian. We delve into the Iranian-backed terror group's use of relatively cheap drones that are guided by fiber optic cables, making them effectively immune to electronic jamming. US President Donald Trump’s plan for the Gaza Strip, which was initially embraced by Israel and Hamas, calls for Israeli troops to withdraw from the enclave and reconstruction to start as Hamas lays down its weapons. As Hamas is not showing any signs of disarming, how is the IDF preparing? Religious Zionist rabbis from a range of institutions representing the community expressed their concern over a plan to allow women to serve with men in the Israel Defense Forces Armored Corps, with at least some vowing to instruct the students not to serve in tanks as long as that remains a possibility. Fabian delves into the recent conscription data of fighters from the haredi community versus female fighters. Check out The Times of Israel's ongoing liveblog for more updates. As the US military intervenes in another Middle East conflict, we're told it's because Iran is harbouring weapons of mass destruction (in contradiction to US intelligence). We're also told forced regime change will ‘liberate' women from Islamic tyranny. WMDs? Operation Freedom? Haven't we heard these justifications before? To start, we look at lessons for the media from the 2003 invasion of Iraq, and re-centre Iranian women in debates about their fates. After the break: ‘NOTHING IS OFF LIMITS' in Johnny Depp's new exclusive with the Sunday Times… except the most important question. How this ‘poor me' piece legitimises abusers' victimhood narratives, and attempts to delegitimise the Me Too movement. And finally, the UK government has moved to proscribe ‘Palestine Action' as a terrorist organisation for spray-painting RAF planes. Media Storm questions why we need anti-terror laws on top of regular anti-crime laws, and whether politicising justice can ever be in the public interest. For example, there have been many wars in my 72 years. I was born at the end of the Korean conflict; we were involved in the Bay of Pigs conflict; we had the Cuban missile crisis; we had the Vietnam War; we had Operation Desert Storm and Operation Freedom. There is always spiritual warfare behind these wars and conflicts. Let's see what we can learn from Daniel 10 today regarding prophecy and spiritual warfare.

Our discussion extends to the examination of autopsy reports and the implications they carry for garrison care and the readiness of the medical force. Join us in this enlightening exploration of military trauma mortality and injury severity. Episode Chapters: (0:00:00) - Analyzing Military Fatalities in Combat Operations Dr. Kotwal discusses military missions, resources, mortality reviews, DNBI and Battle Injury, and injury prevention for combat casualty care. (0:05:29) - Military Trauma Care Medical Terms We discuss military battle injuries, casualties, KIA/DOW, survivability, death preventability, and the joint trauma lexicon. (0:21:07) - Analyzing Case Fatality Rates and Lessons We compare case fatality rates of battle injuries in WW2, Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq, examining the Joint Trauma System, DoD Trauma Registry, and autopsy reports. (0:30:22) - Military Trauma Mortality and Injury Severity Hemorrhage, injury severity scores, blast and gunshot wounds, and future Mortality analysis projects are discussed. Take Home Messages: Understanding military missions, resources, and roles of engagement is crucial in analyzing the outcomes of combat operations and informing future casualty care efforts. The terms 'DNBI' and 'Battle Injury' play a key role in understanding the cause of death in combat scenarios. Military medical terminology such as 'killed in action', 'died of wounds', 'injury survivability', and 'death preventability' are critical in the analysis of military trauma care. The Joint Trauma Lexicon is an invaluable tool that helps in understanding complex military medical terms and their meanings. The case fatality rate for battle injuries has varied across different combat operations such as World War II, Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq. The Joint Trauma System and the Department of Defense Trauma Registry have significantly impacted case fatality rates in large-scale combat operations. Autopsy reports play a critical role in understanding the prevalence of certain diseases and conditions in the military and can have implications for garrison care and the readiness of the medical force. The role of hemorrhage in military trauma mortality reviews, the use of injury severity scores, and the development of new metrics are all important factors in the analysis of military trauma mortality. There is a need for more research into the impact of underlying illnesses such as atherosclerosis on military service members, including better pre and post-deployment screening and prophylactic medical therapy. Studying cases deemed survivable and potentially preventable can lead to important lessons in both prevention and care, helping improve outcomes in future combat operations. What's it like to be a real Top Gun? Well colonel Kim KC Campbell tells her harrowing tale of surviving almost being shot down over Baghdad during Operation Freedom. From being inspired to be an Air Force Academy graduate after watching the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster, to being deployed to Kuwait shortly after 911, to her miraculous landing, Kim opens up about overcoming fear, and focusing on getting her A-10 Warthog back to base. "When I landed I couldn't see the damage. But I climbed down and was greeted by the Marine Corps firefighters,...and they look at me, then the plane then back at me, and lined up to shake my hand...and then I looked. There were over 600 bullet holes in the jet, and a gaping hole in the fuselage." This is an interview you must listen to as Kim shares her epic experience of survival. Kim is the real Top Gun. This is Garrison Hardie with your CrossPolitic Daily News Brief for Wednesday, May 31st, 2023. https://www.christiantoday.com/article/archbishop.distressed.by.attacks.on.christians.in.india/140278.htm Archbishop 'distressed' by attacks on Christians in India The Archbishop of Canterbury has lamented violent attacks on indigenous tribal Christians in north-eastern India. Archbishop Justin Welby said he was "distressed" by the reports of violence coming out of Manipur state in recent weeks. Writing on Twitter, the Archbishop said he was praying that "justice and peace would prevail" in the region. The violence, carried out by Hindu nationalists, has killed dozens and displaced around 10,000 people, mostly Christians. Many churches and buildings belonging to Christians have also been destroyed. The Archbishop said he was praying "that regional authorities would protect all minority groups, including Christians and their places of worship, and that justice and peace would prevail". Open Doors last week shared reports from Christian partners on the ground fear that the violence will lead to a civil war. They have expressed disappointment at what they see as a lack of action by the Indian government and local authorities to quell the violence. According to Open Doors, at least 300 churches have been burned or demolished and 1,000 Christian homes have been destroyed in Manipur in the last few weeks. The NGO is providing support to Christians caught up in the violence but has warned that conditions are "grim", and many are still fearing for their lives. "If the situation continues civil war is inevitable," said an Open Doors partner who cannot be named for security reasons. "If there is a civil war the situation will only become more gruesome, more lives lost, properties destroyed and further open persecution of religious minorities." https://taskandpurpose.com/news/taliban-humvee-m240-iran-fight/ The Taliban is using leftover American gear to fight a border skirmish with Iran A gunfight broke out between Iranian border guards and Taliban fighters along the border between Iran and Afghanistan this weekend. Fighting killed three people in the biggest escalation between the two countries over water. And the Taliban brought out a big gun to help. Video posted to social media offered an up-close view of the skirmish, inside an unexpected place: an Humvee kitted out with an M240 machine gun. If that looks familiar it’s because those are some of the pieces of military equipment captured by the Taliban, now put into use for fighting other parties. Other accounts shared online reported heavy machine gun fire, as well as purported use of mortars and other explosives. Outside of the Humvee, Taliban fighters were spotted using AK-style rifles and RPGs to attack the Iranian position on the border. At least three people are confirmed to have died in Saturday’s gunfight, although accounts vary on how many belonged to each side. The Taliban claimed at least one of its fighters was killed, while an Iranian paper said all deaths were on Iran’s side, per al-Jazeera. The fighting took place in the Nimroz province of Afghanistan. As a result, the border crossing between Milak and Zaranj in Iran and Afghanistan, respectively, closed (it was not where the fighting took place). Both nations accused the other of starting the gunfight. The fighting between the two nations broke out amid political fights over water rights. Drought has been a serious issue in Afghanistan for the last three years. The Helmand River flows from Afghanistan into Iran and is dammed on the Afghan side. Earlier in May, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi called on the Taliban not to restrict the flow of water. More than a year since the Taliban took control of Afghanistan, the group is using all kinds of seized American and NATO weapons. It’s not a new development. The Taliban regularly used captured American-provided equipment when fighting the U.S.-backed government. In the later years of the war, special Taliban units were spotted wearing American-style driving Humvees and even wielding weapons belonging to special operations units. During the fall of Kabul in 2021, Los Angeles Times reporter Nabih Bulos captured footage of Taliban fighters in the city dressed like special operations forces. When the U.S.-backed government fell and the Afghan security forces collapsed, the Taliban got its hand on a lot of leftover weapons and equipment. A 2022 report from the Pentagon’s lead inspector general for Operation Enduring Sentinel and Operation Freedom’s Sentinel found that approximately $7.12 billion in equipment was still in the country when the Taliban took over. That included everything from rifles to aircraft. https://www.newsmax.com/world/globaltalk/africa-uganda-gay-rights/2023/05/29/id/1121533/ Uganda Signs Anti-gay Law With Death Penalty for 'Aggravated Homosexuality' Uganda's president has signed into law tough new anti-gay legislation supported by many in this East African country but widely condemned by rights activists and others abroad. The version of the bill signed by President Yoweri Museveni does not criminalize those who identify as LGBTQ, a key concern for campaigners who condemned an earlier draft of the legislation as an egregious attack on human rights. But the new law still prescribes the death penalty for "aggravated homosexuality," which is defined as cases of sexual relations involving people infected with HIV as well as with minors and other categories of vulnerable people. A suspect convicted of "attempted aggravated homosexuality" can be imprisoned for up to 14 years, according to the legislation. Parliamentary Speaker Anita Among said in a statement the president had "answered the cries of our people" in signing the bill. "With a lot of humility, I thank my colleagues the Members of Parliament for withstanding all the pressure from bullies and doomsday conspiracy theorists in the interest of our country," the statement said. Museveni had returned the bill to the national assembly in April, asking for changes that would differentiate between identifying as LGBTQ and actually engaging in homosexual acts. That angered some lawmakers, including some who feared the president would proceed to veto the bill amid international pressure. Lawmakers passed an amended version of the bill earlier in May. Homosexuality was already illegal in Uganda under a colonial-era law criminalizing sexual activity "against the order of nature." The punishment for that offense is life imprisonment. The U.S. has warned of economic consequences over legislation described by Amnesty International as "draconian and overly broad." The leaders of the U.N. AIDS program, the U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief and the Global Fund in a joint statement Monday said they "are deeply concerned about the harmful impact" of the legislation on public health and the HIV response. "Uganda's progress on its HIV response is now in grave jeopardy," the statement said. "The Anti-Homosexuality Act 2023 will obstruct health education and the outreach that can help end AIDS as a public health threat." That statement noted that "stigma and discrimination associated with the passage of the Act has already led to reduced access to prevention as well as treatment services" for LGBTQ people. Anti-gay sentiment in Uganda has grown in recent weeks amid news coverage alleging sodomy in boarding schools, including a prestigious one for boys where a parent accused a teacher of abusing her son. For the first time in three years, the U.S. Navy Blue Angels have a new flight leader. Cmdr. Alexander Armatas officially took command of the Naval Flight Exhibition Team on November 13, 2022, at a ceremony at the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola, Florida. He replaced Captain Brian Kesselring, who led the Team during its 75th anniversary and the transition to the F/A-18 Super Hornet. In this interview, Boss Armatas discusses his priorities and focus as the new commanding officer and flight leader for the Blue Angels, including getting to know each member of the Team, mastering the 45 minute air show demonstration, and ensuring his fitness and nutrition are optimized for high intensity flying and a rigorous schedule. With winter training in El Centro, California just weeks away, Boss Armatas also provides insight into the current flying syllabus and milestones the Team are focused on achieving, including flying the first Delta Formation for the 2023 Blue Angels. A native of Skaneateles, New York, Boss Armatas cites flyovers by a formation of F-16 Falcons from the New York National Guard and exposure to cargo operations at the Syracuse International Airport as early influences that sparked his passion for aviation. He also attended a number of airshows in London, Ontario, Canada during his informative years where he witnessed the Blue Angels perform for the first time. Graduating from the United States Naval Academy in 2002 with a degree in aerospace engineering, Boss Armatas earned his Wings of Gold in June of 2005 at Naval Air Station (NAS) Meridian, Mississippi. Initially assigned to NAS Lemoore, California, he served in a variety of different roles as part of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 115, the “Eagles” and deployed three times on board the USS Ronald Reagan (CVN-76) in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. In 2009, Boss Armatas graduated from the world famous TOPGUN course at NAS Fallon, Nevada before joining VFA-122 the “Flying Eagles” where he was named the 2010 VFA-122 Instructor Pilot of the Year. Transferring to VFA-14 the “Tophatters”, Boss Armatas supported Operation Enduring Freedom in 2013 aboard the USS John C Stennis (CVN-74). Following this tour, he reported to NAS Oceana in Virginia Beach, Virginia to serve as the Department Head for FVA-143 the “Pukin' Dogs” and deployed aboard the USS Harry S Truman (CVN-75) in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. After serving as a Strike Fighter Placement Officer for the Navy Personnel Command (NPC) in Millington, Tennessee in 2017, Boss Armatas reported to VFA-105 the “Gunslingers” where he served as both Executive Officer and Commanding Officer during his tenure and deployed twice aboard the USS Dwight D Eisenhower (CVN-69) in support of Operation Freedom's Sentinel. With the encouragement of former Blue Angels pilot, John Hiltz, Boss Armatas submitted his application for the Blue Angels after accumulating more that 4,100 flight hours and 911 carrier-arrested landing. He was announced as the Commanding Officer of the Blue Angels in April of 2022 and officially joined the team in August. 2023 Blue Angels Team1. CDR Alexander Armatas2. LCDR Chris Kapuschansky3. Niners continue to roll and now on a 7-game win streak after taking the show up to Seattle and putting it on the Seahawks to clinch the Western Division Title! Brock Purdy continued to roll as did the Niner's top ranked defense. Three games left as we fight for the 2nd seed in the NFC and some home field games. Just keep playing Niner ball and this will be a special Holiday Season indeed!!For our “Christmas/Holiday” show we deliberately picked Operation Freedom Paws, a non-profit organization serving veterans through paring and training them with rescued service dogs. Nothing says happy holidays like rescued dogs matched with veterans, and trained as service dogs. This is an amazing feel-good story about this dog and vet-friendly non-profit located in San Martin, CA. OFP was founded by Mary Cortani, an Army and Vietnam era veteran, who is a certified Army Master Instructor of Canine Education and an American Kennel Club Certified Canine Good Citizen© Evaluator. Mary serves as the OFP President and Executive Director of Operations. Mary started OFP in 2010 after she was contacted by a vet who was facing a 1-year wait period to be matched with a service dog. After looking into it Mary found the need was immense and she in turn answered the call. Why match veterans with service dogs you might ask. Well, simply because dogs are amazing and when properly matched and well trained, they can read their veterans and help alert them and protect them and assist them in navigating the perils and challenges of living life with PTSD (and a variety of other mental and/or physical challenges). OFP not only rescues all their dogs, they also then train the veterans to train the dogs through a lengthy and detailed training program. The match and bonding that takes place makes all the difference and the results are amazing. You will hear Mary's story along with 2 of their veterans who have gone through the program and live with their own OFP service dogs. We met them and their pups and honestly it was all so amazing the difference these dogs make in the lives of these veterans. We know you will enjoy the show and encourage you to check them out and consider supporting them. Happy Holidays!! Wherever you are and whoever you are with, we wish you the very best and most wonderful of times. Take care of yourself, set limits, say no if needed and yes only if you want to. Stay connected and remember you are not alone!! Love, peace, gratitude, and grace, for you and all your tribe this holiday season.
