El Real Club Marítimo del Abra - Real Sporting Club organiza un taller de nudos en ambas terrazas del Puente Bizkaia y una exhibición de la clase Optimist que ofrecerán los jóvenes regatistas de la Escuela de Vela José Luis de Ugarte 

Llega la espectacular Regata del Gallo con 80 embarcaciones bajo el Puente Colgante. El sábado 20 de diciembre a mediodía retorna una de las regatas que se celebró por primera vez en 1984 

Von Weihnachts-Traditionen, vergessenen Superstars und einem A24-Juwel Von Gedächtnislücken über Tarantino-Rewatches bis hin zu einem Film, der tief unter die Haut geht! Nach einem kleinen Plausch über Zeljkos Ehrfurcht vor der Technik und Timos selektives Gedächtnis (wer weiß schon noch, was er vorgestern gegessen hat?), tauchen die Jungs direkt in die Filmwelt ein. Timo ist mitten im Weihnachtsmodus und berichtet von seinem Rewatch der norwegischen Serie Hjem til jul (Weihnachten zu Hause). Er liebt die ersten zwei Staffeln und empfiehlt die Serie jedem, der auf romantische und "cozy" Weihnachtsstimmung steht – am besten im norwegischen Originalton! Allerdings war die dritte Staffel nach fünf Jahren Pause für ihn nicht mehr ganz so stark wie der Anfang. Zeljko hat sich von seinem Sohn zu einem Rewatch von Django Unchained überreden lassen und ist immer noch begeistert von Tarantinos Western-Epos. Die Charaktere, die Dialoge, die Musik – für ihn ist der Film immer noch ein Meisterwerk, auch wenn er heute vielleicht eine halbe Stunde kürzer sein dürfte. Timo hingegen gibt zu, dass er Tarantinos Frühwerke oft erst später zu schätzen gelernt hat. Als Kontrastprogramm zum aktuellen Blockbuster-Kino hat Timo sich den Indie-Film Lurker angesehen. Die Geschichte über einen jungen Mann, der sich in das Leben eines aufstrebenden Popstars drängt, entwickelt sich von einem Drama zu einem spannenden Thriller über Ruhm, Abhängigkeit und Zurückweisung. Ein kleiner, feiner Film, der ihn positiv überrascht hat. Der Film der Woche ist diesmal das A24-Drama Sorry Baby. Und der hat beide tief beeindruckt! Was als stilles Porträt einer jungen Frau beginnt, entfaltet sich zu einer intensiven Auseinandersetzung mit einem traumatischen Erlebnis – einem sexuellen Übergriff im nahen Umfeld. Timo und Zeljko loben die authentische Darstellung, die starken Dialoge und die Tatsache, dass der Film trotz des schweren Themas Momente der Hoffnung und sogar des Humors bietet. Besonders die nuancierte Darstellung der Täter-Opfer-Dynamik und die Entscheidung der Protagonistin am Ende haben zu intensiven Diskussionen geführt. Ein wichtiger, sensibler und handwerklich hervorragender Film, der noch lange nachwirkt. Eine Folge voller persönlicher Einblicke, spannender Filmtipps abseits des Mainstreams und einer tiefgehenden Besprechung eines echten Film-Highlights. The saints reveal the fulfillment of Christ's promises. As I promised a couple episodes back, we want to treat you to a series of reflections on the particular witness of particular saints through a series of episodes on our podcast. These episodes follow from the wildly popular “Saturdays with the Saints” lecture series we host each year on Notre Dame's campus. For one hour on the morning of Notre Dame home football games, a scholar typically from Notre Dame delivers a public lecture on a saint. We've been hosting this series for 15 years now, and this year we focused on “Saints of the Sacred Heart.”I myself delivered the first lecture this year on St. Margaret Mary and the rebirth of the devotion to the Sacred Heart. The lecture that followed was delivered by friend and colleague, Tim O'Malley. His lecture was on St. Claude de Colombiere, which is especially fitting because St. Claude is the one who made St. Margaret Mary's visions of the Sacred Heart known to the world. But as Tim taught in his lecture, it matters very much that St. Claude was himself a Jesuit, as was our late Pope Francis who dedicated his last encyclical to the Sacred Heart. A survey of more than 30,000 of New Zealand's Year 10 students shows that the number of teens who vape regularly has dropped by half since it's peak in 2021. The number of teenagers who vape on a daily basis has also dropped from “peak vape” of 10.1% in 2022, to 7.1%. Auckland Grammar headmaster Tim O'Connor says he has noticed the shift but doesn't know what it can be attributed to. "I don't know what's going on to tell you the truth. I don't know whether it's us being more effective, or the messages happening, or if it's just random," he told Heather du Plessis-Allan. Lo que se presenta como un gran avance en seguridad vial ha generado, en realidad, una enorme polémica. ¿Es esta baliza un verdadero salvavidas diseñado para evitar atropellos? ¿O estamos ante un negocio perfectamente orquestado y un experimento pagado por todos los conductores? En este vídeo analizamos a fondo el lío de la V16. El origen: una idea de un Guardia Civil Para entender la situación actual, hay que ir al origen. Esta idea no nació en un despacho de la DGT, sino en la carretera. Fue Jorge Torre, un Guardia Civil con vocación de inventor, quien, frustrado por los peligros de los sistemas de señalización (incluyendo los rotativos de la propia policía y los triángulos), ideó una baliza luminosa, magnética y sin cables. Su objetivo era claro: salvar vidas, permitiendo a cualquier conductor señalizar una emergencia sin tener que bajarse del coche. Esa idea se convirtió en la V16 original, reconocida por la DGT en 2018 como un elemento opcional. El "giro" de la DGT: Conectada y obligatoria El invento era bueno. Tanto, que el equipo de Torre ya trabajaba en un modelo que se conectaba al móvil del usuario para avisar al seguro o al 112. Pero entonces entró en escena Pere Navarro y la DGT. En 2021, un Real Decreto lo cambió todo: la baliza V16 pasaba a ser obligatoria en 2026. Pero no conectada al móvil del usuario, sino directamente a la plataforma DGT 3.0. La baliza se convirtió así en la puerta de entrada perfecta para meter a todo el parque móvil español en la red de datos en tiempo real de la DGT. El negocio de la V16 La DGT justifica la medida en las aproximadamente 20 muertes anuales por atropello tras bajar del vehículo (entre 2018 y 2022), aunque los datos concretos sobre las circunstancias de esos accidentes son difusos. Lo que sí es muy concreto es el negocio: Las operadoras: Alguien tiene que dar la conexión. Compañías como Vodafone o Telefónica gestionarán la conectividad, un coste que pagamos por adelantado por 12 años al comprar la baliza. Es, en la práctica, una suscripción obligatoria con fecha de caducidad. El Estado: El 21% de IVA de millones de dispositivos que hay que comprar obligatoriamente. Las multas: Un nuevo filón recaudatorio. 80 € por no llevarla en el coche y 200 € por no usarla en caso de avería. Una buena idea, mal aplicada El concepto de no bajar del coche para señalizar es un avance innegable. El problema es la ejecución. No avisa a emergencias: Es el punto más grave. La baliza avisa a la DGT 3.0 para que la incidencia aparezca en paneles informativos (la "visibilidad virtual"), pero no conecta con los servicios de emergencia. No llama a la Guardia Civil de Tráfico. Falsa seguridad: El hecho de no tener que bajar puede hacer que muchos conductores permanezcan dentro del vehículo, algo que es extremadamente peligroso en según qué vías. Problemas técnicos: La visibilidad real de la luz es cuestionada, incluso por asociaciones de Guardias Civiles. La DGT solo exige 30 minutos de autonomía de batería, un tiempo ridículo en muchas situaciones. Además, depende de la cobertura de telefonía, un problema grave en muchas zonas rurales. "Made in Spain": Es un experimento español. Somos el único país de la UE que lo impone. Si viajas a Francia, Portugal o Alemania en 2026, tendrás que llevar tu V16... y también los triángulos, que allí siguen siendo obligatorios. En el extranjero, tu V16 conectada será solo una luz parpadeante. En resumen, la baliza V16 es una buena idea (la luz) pervertida por una ejecución nefasta (la conexión obligatoria). Un avance en seguridad que se ha convertido en un negocio redondo para muchos y un experimento nacional que pagaremos entre todos.

La Normativa Euro 7 se nos presentó como una revolución medioambiental, pero ha resultado ser una farsa burocrática que esconde sus verdaderas intenciones. Durante años, la Comisión Europea nos vendió una historia de terror: la "Euro 7 Hard" iba a ser tan estricta que encarecería los coches 2.000 euros y supondría el fin del motor de combustión. Sin embargo, la industria plantó cara. Ocho países, liderados por Francia e Italia, preguntaron a Bruselas por qué debían invertir miles de millones en perfeccionar una tecnología (el motor de combustión) que la propia UE ha decidido prohibir en 2035. Y Bruselas reculó. La Euro 7 final, la que entrará en vigor sobre 2027, es una broma... si solo miramos el tubo de escape. Para los turismos, los límites de emisiones son idénticos a los de la actual Euro 6d. No cambian los NOx, no cambia el CO2. Es una Euro 6 con una pegatina nueva. El problema es que nos han hecho mirar al tubo de escape, mientras las verdaderas trampas venían por otro lado. La Paradoja del Coche Eléctrico Por primera vez, una norma "Euro" regula emisiones que no son del escape: las partículas de los frenos y el desgaste de los neumáticos. Sobre el papel suena bien, pero ¿qué coches son los que más pesan y, por tanto, más castigan frenos y neumáticos? Exacto, los coches eléctricos. La UE ha creado una norma que penaliza directamente al vehículo que nos quiere imponer. La Trampa Real: El "Gran Hermano" OBM El verdadero golpe de la Euro 7 se llama OBM (On-Board Monitoring). Es la consecuencia del Dieselgate: la UE ya no se fía de nadie. El OBM obliga al coche a vigilarse a sí mismo, midiendo sus emisiones en tiempo real. Aquí está el engaño: la norma exige que el coche cumpla con las emisiones (las de la Euro 6d) durante 10 años o 200.000 kilómetros. Esto no es una norma sobre coches nuevos; es una sentencia de muerte para los coches usados. Un catalizador o un filtro de partículas pierden eficiencia con el uso. Hasta ahora, un coche de 8 años con 160.000 km podía pasar la ITV sin problema. Con la Euro 7, en el momento en que el OBM detecte una mínima pérdida de eficiencia, se encenderá un chivato. Será un fallo que no se podrá borrar. En la ITV, conectarán la máquina y leerán el aviso: "Eficiencia del catalizador fuera de rango". Desfavorable. La única solución será cambiar el sistema completo: una factura de 3.000, 4.000 o 5.000 euros. Si tu coche de 9 años tiene un valor de mercado de 6.000 euros, se convierte en un siniestro total. Es la obsolescencia programada convertida en ley. Es el mecanismo perfecto para destruir el mercado de segunda mano y forzar la sustitución del parque móvil. Mientras tanto, la Euro 7 sí es dura con los camiones y autobuses (el verdadero problema de contaminación urbana), usando el pánico de los coches como una cortina de humo para colar la trampa del OBM.
