Pour autant, en 2021, le voile est levé et derrière Carmen Mola se cachent en réalité trois hommes : Jorge Díaz, Agustín Martínez et Antonio Santos Mercero, ce dernier ayant supervisé l'écriture des huit chapitres que compte cette première saison de La Novia Gitana. Des coulisses passionnantes qui trouvent un prolongement tout aussi prenant dans cette adaptation télé à voir sur Canal+. Un polar espagnol qui happe habilement le téléspectateur dès sa première scène et l'entraîne dans un univers sombre jalonné de meurtres, de sévices sexuels et de violence. Un univers que l'on découvre à travers le personnage d'Elena Blanco (Nerea Barros), une enquêtrice énigmatique, figure de proue de la trilogie, qui ne vit que pour retrouver son fils, Lucas, disparu quelques années auparavant. À ses côtés, une équipe aussi disparate qu'efficace composée de la nouvelle recrue Zárate (Ignacio Montes) qui va parvenir à fissurer la carapace d'Elena, de Chesca (Lucía Martín Abello), Mariajo (Mona Martinez) et Rodrigo Orduño (Vicente Romero Sanchez). La Novia Gitana est une série maîtrisée et intelligente qui n'offre aucun temps mort tout en évitant le piège de la précipitation ou de l'ellipse narrative. Une fiction espagnole captivante qui nous montre une facette différente de la communauté gitane, souvent dépeinte de manière négative. En outre, on ne peut éprouver qu'une profonde empathie pour les parents des deux sœurs, interprétés par Moreno Borja et Mónica Estarreado, terrassés par le chagrin et la crainte de voir leur cadette subir le même sort que ses aînées. Diego Ballén y Mauricio Lema, oncólogos clínicos colombianos, entrevistarán a un invitado especial para abordar con base en evidencia científica y a su experiencia a aquellas interrogantes que llegan a surgir diariamente en la práctica clínica. Durante este episodio la Dra. Virginia Abello, hematóloga, jefa de la Unidad Funcional de Leucemia, Linfoma y Mieloma en CTIC en Bogotá, Colombia, discutió en conjunto con nuestros coordinadores sobre el mieloma múltiple (MM). El MM es una enfermedad heterogénea que se caracteriza por la proliferación descontrolada de células plasmáticas en la médula ósea, lo que puede provocar daño óseo, anemia y otros problemas de salud. Esta afección se clasifica como la segunda neoplasia hematológica más común, después del linfoma de Hodgkin.  Con base a su experiencia, la Dra. Abello responde a las siguientes interrogantes: ¿Cuál sería el recorrido o trayectoria ideal de un paciente con MM en términos de diagnóstico, atención médica y tratamiento? ¿Cuál es la clasificación de riesgo del MM y cómo se determina? ¿Cómo influye esta clasificación en el enfoque terapéutico y el pronóstico del paciente? ¿Cuál es su perspectiva sobre las terapias emergentes para pacientes candidatos a trasplante de médula ósea? ¿Cuándo considera que es el momento más adecuado para realizar el trasplante en estos casos? ¿Cuáles son los métodos utilizados para evaluar la respuesta al tratamiento en pacientes con MM? ¿Qué consideraciones son importantes al interpretar estos resultados? ¿Cuál es su enfoque en el manejo de la primera recaída en pacientes con MM y qué opciones terapéuticas están disponibles en este escenario? ¿Cuál es la disponibilidad de tratamientos con inhibidores de proteasoma, IMiDs y trasplante de médula ósea? ¿Qué avances recientes destacaría en el desarrollo de nuevos agentes para el tratamiento del MM y cuál es su impacto potencial en la práctica clínica?   Fecha de grabación: 30 de enero de 2024. David's life with his mother Patricia is not without challenges - caring for someone with dementia is hard - but he cherishes their Sundays at the Bankstown Sportsclub. David Abello became involved in the lesbian and gay movement in 1975 and in 1980s was a member of the Gay Liberation Quire and the Gaywaves Gay Radio Collective amongst other things. He's been active in the disability movement since the 1980s and in membership-based organisations concerned with employment, multicultural advocacy and housing. In the late 1990s he was a founding member of the queer disability activist group, Access Plus – Spanning Identities. After 14 years as a public servant he completed an Honours Degree in Arts and Social Sciences at UTS, and his next career as a social policy researcher at UNSW. He then completed a PhD. The thesis, In Memory of Now: A Queer History of the Present is available online, as his album My Life as a Social Movement. Juan Carlos Abello saw the need for a hospitality-focused solution such as Nuvola after working in the hotel industry for more than a decade. His first-hand experience sparked the notion that there has to be a better and easier way for staff to communicate with each other and with their guests. Abello began his career in the hotel industry shortly after moving back to the U.S. at the age of 17. He has worked in nearly every aspect of hotel operations, but always found himself focused on one thing - elevating the guest service experience. It's his passion for the guest experience that led him to managerial and director of operations roles with leading hotel brands such as Morgans Hotel Group and DoubleTree. It's also what made him take an interesting career move into technology that later resulted in the development of Nuvola. Following his tenure in the hotel industry, Abello was director of operations at a bourgeoning technology company in Italy called ZeitGroup. Discovering the ways in which technology can be used to successfully manage business operations, he was encouraged to take his passion for the hotel industry and his insight into technology to create a new career for himself. Abello foresaw the ways in which a cloud-based software would be able to connect hoteliers and their guests. His unique blend of experience bred the concept for Nuvola and feeds Abello's passion for its mission to bridge the gap between the hospitality industry and those it serves. Abello graduated Magna Cum Laude from Florida International University with a Bachelor's Degree in International Business. He also earned a Masters of Business Administration in General Management from Emory University. “you need to make sure that you have a culture that is well-defined. AltoAsalto es una banda de Bucaramanga que nació en la casa de los hermanos Abello. Con la adición de Daniel Deluca en la guitarra, la banda llegó a establecerse en la escena Bumanguesa y de ahi lograron sacar su album debut “Audiostandard”. Al poco tiempo forman una unión con Koala Records donde pudieron grabar su segundo lanzamiento titulado “Tan Solo” y expanden su música por el resto del país. David Abello shares stories about his dear friend, Paul Young. David was born in the inner-west of Sydney where he still lives. He became involved in the lesbian and gay movement in 1975 and in 1980s was a member of the Gay Liberation Quire and the Gaywaves Gay Radio Collective amongst other things. He's been active in the disability movement since the 1980s and in membership-based organisations concerned with employment, advocacy, multicultural advocacy and housing. In the late 1990s he was a founding member of the queer disability activist group, Access Plus – Spanning Identities. In the 1980s he worked in the Commonwealth Department of Employment and Education in Western Sydney as an Employment Counsellor and then became its state coordinator of disability employment. After 14 years he was retrenched which led to doing an Honours Degree in Arts and Social Sciences at UTS, and his next career as a social policy researcher at UNSW. After 12 years retrenchment propelled him into two simultaneous new careers - a PhD and the daily support of his mother following her Alzheimer’s diagnosis. The thesis, In Memory of Now: A Queer History of the Present is available online, as his his album My Life as a Social Movement.
