On this episode Razib talks to Jesse Arm, VP of external affairs at the Manhattan Institute. His writing and commentary have appeared in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic, New York Post, Fox News, City Journal and Jerusalem Post. Arm graduated with honors from the University of Michigan, where he majored in international political economy, and studied language and international affairs at Tel Aviv University. He has also worked for Senator Tom Cotton and Representative Dan Benishek, and the analytics arm of American Continental Group, a major lobbying firm. Razib and Arm discuss the perceptions and attitudes of Gen Z Republicans, focusing on a group of 18-29-year-olds in Nashville, TN. Arm notes that while Gen Z feels economic anxiety, they are also entrepreneurial and comfortable with the world of social media. Gen Z Republicans are religious, like previous generations, but less likely to be married or have long-term partners at the same age as earlier cohorts. They express a desire for politics to be entertaining, similar to reality TV. The conversation also touches on the influence of social media on their views, the power of influencers like Nick Fuentes, and the potential for future political figures to emerge from the creator class. Arm also addresses the impact of intergenerational wealth transfer on political attitudes.

Joanna Coles speaks with Jason Zengerle, author of "Hated By All the Right People," about how Tucker Carlson went from dodging Donald Trump's phone calls to becoming one of the most powerful forces shaping Trumpworld. Drawing from Zengerle's new book, they unpack Tucker's unusual method of influencing Trump through television, his spectacular fallout with Fox News, and why being fired may have supercharged his relevance. The conversation traces Tucker's early skepticism of Trump, his carefully managed realignment to Trump, his role in boosting JD Vance, and how he helped mainstream Viktor Orbán's authoritarian playbook while flirting with Putin apologism. Coles and Zengerle also explore the deeply personal roots of Tucker's worldview, including his fraught relationship with his mother, who left when he was a child and later cut him out of her fortune—an abandonment that may help explain his hunger for control, audience, and power. Is Tucker a cynical opportunist, a true believer, or something more unsettling—a movement leader with ambitions that stretch well beyond media? Hosted on Acast. Dear Humans, Today on The God Show, Jesus and I played a clip from an anti-fascist leftist hero who set up a fake "Illegal Immigrant Report" tip line, and racist snitches keep calling it thinking it's real. One of them was a kindergarten teacher trying to get her own 6-year-old student's parents deported. Yes, really. She said it all out loud, then immediately lost her mind the second the guy on the phone started repeating her cruelty back to her in plain English. And after that, we kept going: more calls, more bigots outing themselves, and more proof that these people aren't "concerned citizens." They're wannabe deportation cops with Fox News for a brain. We also hit the real news, including: new polling from Harry Enten showing Americans do not trust Trump on elections a surprise Supreme Court move on California's new maps a Tulsi Gabbard whistleblower deadline that's about to detonate by Friday Seriously though, when you hear how these callers react when the "agent" simply restates what they're asking for, you're going to laugh your ass off. These racist schmucks want to do evil, but they ALSO want to feel self-righteous while they do it. The second you repeat their own evil desires back to them, they totally freak out! There was righteous laughter today. The kind that cleanses your soul. Enjoy!

As Fox News featured footage of jackbooted masked federal agents terrorizing a Northern Midwestern city the network told its viewers to ignore any reports that showed Americans were unhappy with Trump's mass deportation efforts. The soccer moms and angel faced five-year-olds fleeing clouds of tear gas in quaint tree-lined residential streets were covert socialist sleeper cells financed by the Chinese communist party and radical Islamists determined to overthrow the U.S. government. The true victims of the chaos in Minnesota were the valiant members of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Border Patrol agents. They were brave men and women who had to cover their faces to avoid being doxed by crazed capitalist hating agitators.Things got truly surreal as several Fox News hosts showcased the mugshots of various undocumented immigrants convicted of heinous crimes while they downplayed the latest release of documents related to convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. The Epstein files revealed close personal relationships with several high-ranking officials in the Trump administration as well as the president himself. When the network wasn't promoting outlandish conspiracy theories about nonexistent socialist uprisings and downplaying Trump's once close relationship to a sadistic sexual predator it was heavily promoting the First Lady's insipid documentary and making light of Trump's plan to openly rob the U.S. treasury of $10 billion. It was an especially crazy week at Fox.Meanwhile Fox News polling came out with terrible numbers for Trump across several categories which Fox News personalities mostly ignored. The network also failed to tell its viewers about layoffs at Amazon and UPS or of a huge spike in the trade deficit. This is a public episode. If you haven't been following conservative media for a long time, you might not know that there have actually been many eras of Tucker Carlson. He launched his career in print journalism before landing under the bright lights of Fox News in 2009. That's where he developed his super power – giving his audience exactly what they want, and feeding some of their worst impulses again and again under the glossy veneer of respectability. New Yorker staff writer Jason Zengerle first met Carlson back in the 1990s and has been following his career ever since. His new book, "Hated by All the Right People: Tucker Carlson and the Unraveling of the Conservative Mind," examines Carlson's evolution and the media's. We spoke with Zengerle about Carlson's past and what his shifting priorities reveal about American politics. And in headlines, the House narrowly passes a spending bill to end the partial government shutdown, Renee Good's brothers testify before Congressional Democrats, and a U.S. fighter jet shoots down an Iranian drone.Show Notes: Check out Hated by All the Right People: Tucker Carlson and the Unraveling of the Conservative Mind Call Congress – 202-224-3121 Subscribe to the What A Day Newsletter – https://tinyurl.com/3kk4nyz8 What A Day – YouTube – https://www.youtube.com/@whatadaypodcast Follow us on Instagram – https://www.instagram.com/crookedmedia/ For a transcript of this episode, please visit crooked.com/whataday

Why do so many people feel lonely, burned out, and disconnected—even in a hyper-connected world? Author and journalist Jennifer Wallace joins Mosheh to unpack what she sees as a root cause behind today's mental health, workplace, and social crises: a growing lack of mattering. In her new book, 'Mattering: The Secret to a Life of Deep Connection and Purpose,' Wallace argues that feeling valued for who we are, and knowing we add value to others, is a fundamental human need. She explains how technology, distraction, and achievement-driven culture have hollowed out relationships, contributing to loneliness, burnout, disengagement at work, and rising social anger. The conversation discusses tips for reversing that trend, and also explores parenting and leadership, including why kids and adults thrive when they feel they matter at home and at work, and how small, everyday moments of attention and appreciation can rebuild connection.  Mosheh Oinounou (@mosheh) is an Emmy and Murrow award-winning journalist. An active investigation into the death of 14-year-old Celeste Hernandez has left the public with a timeline, a Tesla, and an extensive list of unanswered question. In this episode of Zone 7, Sheryl McCollum is joined by journalist Lauren Conlin to review what has been said publicly about Celeste’s initial classification as a runaway, her connections to older individuals, and why the continued absence of a named person of interest raises concern. They turn to the arrest of actor/director Timothy Busfield and discuss what can and cannot be concluded from selective “evidence” releases, how credibility gets weaponized in public, and why child abuse allegations demand careful, methodical evaluation rather than internet verdicts. Highlights: • (0:00) Sheryl McCollum opens the episode on the death of Celeste Hernandez and why the case is “driving her crazy” • (1:30) Lauren Conlin’s case status framing: no official person of interest, grand jury activity, and what “imminent indictment” does and does not mean • (3:00) Celeste’s runaway classification, age, and how early labels can shape urgency, resources, and risk • (7:15) Behavior after the discovery: canceled tour, transferred home ownership, legal strategy, and public silence • (10:00) Publicity economics: spikes in streams/downloads and the reality of scandal- driven attention • (15:15) Homicide indicator vs. Evidentiary barriers when decomposition complicates cause-of-death determinations • (17:45) Tesla cameras, event data, and why Sheryl expects a digital trail around movement and access • (21:45) Why runaway youth are at elevated risk and how dependency becomes leverage for exploitation • (27:00) Timothy Busfield: prior allegations and the optics of how he presented himself • (29:15) The alleged history patterns, witness context, and credibility disputes around the parents • (33:00) “Tickling to me does not absolve you from being a pervert.” • (36:00) Predatory access: why being near adults does not guarantee safety and how abuse can occur quickly and covertly • (39:15) Sheryl and Lauren address recantation, selective interview clips, and why child abuse cases require restraint, context, and patience before judgment Guest Bio: Lauren Conlin is a New York-based journalist covering true crime and high-profile investigations. You're listening to Right On Radio. Live right in the real world. And welcome to Right On Radio, everybody. My name is Jeff. In this free-flowing episode Jeff and co-host John open with the Word on Word segment and preview three core topics: the latest fallout from the Epstein document releases, new mainstream reporting about immigration and political infrastructure, and a short Donald J. Trump clip that sparks a broader discussion about a possible “dark‑to‑light” narrative. The show begins with a reflective Word on Word moment and a short music segment — Jeff reads controversial song lyrics (the well‑known Bruce Springsteen track) to illustrate how words shape culture and can reveal deeper social problems. That musical interlude leads into commentary about how popular songs and celebrity behavior intersect with political and moral debates today. Jeff and John dig into the Epstein material, weighing credible revelations against endless rabbit holes. They address claims circulating online — from 4chan connections to theories about Epstein's death — while urging caution about unverified assertions. The episode includes short clips (including a cut of Senator Ted Cruz and commentary on the late Robert David Steele) and a frank exchange about how these revelations feed broader narratives about bloodlines, elite networks, and conspiratorial interpretations of global events. Next, the hosts examine immigration reporting highlighted by a Fox News segment with investigator Peter Schweizer. They discuss the Reconquista narrative, Mexican political infrastructure in the U.S., the role of consulates, and claims about organized political influence tied to migration. Jeff and John also discuss public worries and rumors — from deportation camps and migrant use in security roles to concerns about sovereignty — and the recent removal of Ed Martin from a DOJ working group, considering the political timing and ramifications. The episode closes with a 33‑second clip from Donald Trump and a wide‑ranging conversation about the possibility of a false “great awakening,” Q‑related narratives, the emergence of a one‑world religious or political order, and cultural shifts involving high‑profile celebrities (Nicki Minaj is discussed) and Christian conservatives. Jeff teases an upcoming Friday show and reminds listeners of the prayer meeting at 7:30 p.m.; co‑host John contributes historical context and personal reflections throughout. Guests and contributors heard or referenced: co‑host John, researcher S90 (mentioned as a future collaborator), audio clips featuring Senator Ted Cruz, Robert David Steele, Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, investigator Peter Schweizer (Fox News), and an archival Donald J. Trump clip. Key takeaways: a skeptical but urgent look at the Epstein documents, close attention to shifting immigration narratives and political influence, concern about cultural decay and media messaging, and an ongoing call for discernment as new information continues to surface. The Director of National Intelligence showed up to an FBI raid on a Georgia elections office. Then she put the President on speakerphone with the agents. Then we found out she's been sitting on a whistleblower complaint about herself for eight months. This week, we're talking about Tulsi Gabbard, the woman who went from Bernie Sanders endorser to Democratic presidential candidate to Fox News guest host to Trump's spy chief in one of the most cynical political transformations in modern American history. We're talking about the Fulton County raid, the classified complaint locked in a safe, her documented history of consuming Russian state media, her secret meeting with Assad, and why Russian state TV calls her "Russia's girlfriend." I'm not going to dance around it: I think Tulsi Gabbard is a Russian asset. And I'm going to tell you exactly why.  Buckle up.KEY POINTSOn January 28, 2026, FBI agents seized 700 boxes of 2020 election materials from Fulton County, Georgia. DNI Tulsi Gabbard was physically present, at Trump's specific direction. The day after the raid, Gabbard visited the FBI's Atlanta field office and put Trump on speakerphone with the agents. He gave them a "pep talk" for investigating the election he lost.Former FBI officials called this "unprecedented" and said there is "unanimous disgust" across current and former agents.A whistleblower complaint about Gabbard has been locked in a safe for eight months. Federal law requires transmission to Congress within three weeks.Three former aides told ABC News that Gabbard regularly read and shared articles from RT, the Kremlin's principal propaganda outlet. In 2017, Gabbard took a secret trip to Damascus and met with Assad for nearly three hours. Congressional staffers later worried she might leak information about a Syrian defector.A former U.S. ambassador to NATO called Gabbard's 2017 foreign policy memo "basically the Russian playbook."At her confirmation hearing, Gabbard refused to call Edward Snowden a traitor. Senator Bennet responded: "Apparently, you don't understand how critical our national security is."Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/we-saw-the-devil-crime-political-analysis--4433638/support.Website: http://www.wesawthedevil.comPatreon: http://www.patreon.com/wesawthedevilDiscord: https://discord.gg/X2qYXdB4Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/WeSawtheDevilInstagram: http://www.instagram.com/wesawthedevilpodcast.

As he considers a 2028 presidential run, Rahm Emanuel joined us in studio for a wide-ranging and candid conversation about power, politics, and the moment the U.S. finds itself in right now. Emanuel has served at the highest levels of government — in Congress, as President Obama's first chief of staff, two terms as mayor of Chicago, and most recently as U.S. ambassador to Japan. We dig into the rapidly shifting global order, including Greenland, U.S. alliances, China, Ukraine, Gaza, Israel Iran, and Venezuela. On President Trump's second term, Emanuel acknowledges that he shares some underlying goals — including the need to confront China, fight for the American worker and reassess broken global institutions — but is sharply critical of Trump's tactics, execution, and what he sees as lasting damage to America's image, alliances, and long-term leverage abroad.Emanuel is blunt in his criticism of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's conduct of the Gaza war, while also defending Israel's right to exist and protect itself. He warns that political realities around Israel have fundamentally changed inside the Democratic Party. We talk about what that mean if he decides to run for the Democratic nomination. The conversation also turns personal: growing up in Chicago, parenting, and life as one of the three Emanuel brothers — alongside Ari Emanuel, the legendary Hollywood agent, and Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, a leading physician. Donald Trump appears in deep denial about how widely hated his ICE raids have become. He let out a strange, rambling tirade to reporters about how the “silent majority” is still behind what ICE is doing, bizarrely citing approval of the raids among his own White House employees to make the case. In another rant, he lied uncontrollably about the protesters, about crime in Minneapolis, and more. Interestingly, this comes as a poll from none other than Fox News finds Trump deeply under water on immigration. It also finds that very large majorities of independents think ICE is being too aggressive. Incredibly, even majorities of rural whites and non-college whites—loyal base voter groups—think the same.
