SCOTUS, supreme court, HHS, health insurance, obama care, health and human services, HHS, There is a quote pretty much sums up a recent Supreme Court decision regarding your healthcare. Oh what a tangled web we weave When first we practice to deceive -- Sir Walter Scott In the case Kennedy v Braidwood Management, inc. we see the tangled web the United States has woven when it practiced to deceive by claiming the power to regulate what is covered by your health insurance.
Story of the Week (DR):Trump Demands Intel CEO's Resignation, Says He's ‘Highly CONFLICTED' AND Eric and Donald Trump Jr. to Own Millions of Shares in New U.S. Manufacturing SPAC MMESG Analyst Tom Cotton: Trump's attack, posted on Truth Social Thursday, came two days after GOP Sen. Tom Cotton flagged Tan's prior investments in Chinese companies and his previous leadership at Cadence Design Systems, which recently pleaded guilty to unlawfully selling its tech to a blacklisted military university in China.Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan (~$70M golden hello in March; max potential $400M) directly addressed employees on Thursday after Donald Trump demanded his resignation over national security concerns, saying he has the full support of the board.Tan set up a venture firm called Walden International based in San Francisco that pumped more than $5 billion into over 600 companies. More than 100 of those investments were made in China, including deals with once-obscure startups such as Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp.—today China's largest chipmaker—where he served on the board for a decade and a half.Today, the executive is still chairman of Walden International. And he's the founding managing partner at Walden Catalyst Ventures, which focuses on investments in the U.S., Europe and Israel. He also serves in that role at another venture fund, Celesta Global Capital.Tan stepped out of the venture world and joined the chip industry full-time when he became interim head of San Jose, California-based Cadence Design Systems Inc. in 2008. The executive, who had previously served on the board, went on to take the permanent CEO job the next year. He stayed in the role until 2021, when he transitioned to executive chairman, and is widely credited with restoring the company's fortunes. In late July of this year, the Department of Justice announced a plea deal that cost Cadence more than $100 million in fines. Employees at Cadence's China unit allegedly hid the name of a customer—the National University of Defense Technology—from internal compliance in order to keep supplying it. That organization had been put on the Department of Commerce's blacklist in 2015. The Chinese university was one of a group of supercomputer operators there that had conducted simulations of nuclear explosions, the DOJ said.Shares of American Eagle surge 20% after Trump calls Sydney Sweeney campaign 'hottest ad out there' AND Epstein victims are a growing political threat to TrumpThe Fall 2025 campaign, titled "Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans," centers on a deliberate pun between "jeans" and "genes.""Genes are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair color... This includes at least a 1460 on the SAT or a 33 on the ACT, which are both above their respective 98th percentiles.According to Karp, the internship was created in direct response to the “shortcomings of university admissions.”Here's the problem: there ARE shortcomings to elite colleges, mostly that they exude exclusivism and a commodity - but it's still a pretty rich for a guy who WENT to Stanford where he met his future funder and mentor to talk about how bullshit it wasJohn Stankey and the re-rise of the Jack Welch man-directive manbabies MMIt is incredibly encouraging that 73% of our employees took the time to respond to the survey, with 79% of those respondents feeling committed and engaged with their work at AT&T. What do classic Mustangs, skyrocketing health premiums, and hidden insurance landmines have in common? Broadcasting live from the Big Red Lion Car Show at Leprino Foods, Fix It Radio kicks off with sizzling sausage sandwiches, chrome-packed nostalgia, and the best car show food in Denver. But beneath the sunny skies and polished hoods, a storm brews—one that could impact your wallet and your well-being. Why is a supposedly nonpartisan state agency using political blame games to explain a 28–40% increase in health insurance premiums? Is Medicare really your best option at 65—or could staying on your employer plan save you thousands? And what happens if your doctor refuses to take Medicare patients at all? Paul LoNigro from https://e-gia.com/ (GIA) doesn't hold back, calling out misleading headlines, exposing scare tactics, and breaking down the real drivers of rising premiums—like Obamacare mandates and the collapse of mid-sized insurers. And if you've ever wondered whether to choose Medicare Advantage or stick with Original Medicare and a supplement, this segment delivers the critical answers most people miss. But the surprises don't stop there… Could taking a lump-sum retirement distribution triple your Medicare premiums? Are you unknowingly locking yourself out of coverage options by missing a crucial six-month window? And what happens when your dream classic car gets totaled—only for your insurance to cover a fraction of its value? As the guys swap stories about restoring Mustangs, skipping arcades for carburetors, and how today's paint tech makes yesterday's muscle look like primer, they drop one last truth bomb: If you're insuring a classic on your standard auto policy, you're doing it wrong. From tax-free HSA tips and navigating Medicare chaos to insuring the car of your dreams the right way—this is the episode you didn't know you needed to hear. Cars. Coverage. Controversy. What could go wrong when politics, premiums, and pony cars collide? Tune in to https://fixitradio.com to find out more.

What's really going on behind the scenes of celebrity deaths, organ transplants, and American health care? Why are so many celebrities dying younger than expected—and could there be more to the story? John Rush and Steve House kick off the hour with a fiery intro and a conversation that quickly turns from the shock of Hulk Hogan's death to deeper questions about lifestyle, stress, and the hidden costs of fame. Is it the jab? The drugs? The pressure of constantly supporting an entourage? And what about the chilling report Dr. Kelly shared—are hospitals harvesting organs from patients not yet dead? You won't believe how deep the financial incentives go in the world of organ donation and health care billing. Could 3D-printed organs be the future of healthcare—and the end of human organ donation as we know it? In this eye-opening segment, Rush and House dive deeper into chilling allegations of organ harvesting from patients not fully deceased and the ethics of monetizing donated body parts. Are hospitals profiting while grieving families foot the bill? What is a "bioprinter," and how close are we to printing kidneys, skin, or even entire organs grown from your own cells? And if the rich can afford these life-extending procedures—what happens to the rest of us? This isn't science fiction anymore—it's knocking at our door. Who decides who deserves life-saving treatment—and who doesn't? In this bold and controversial exchange, John and Steve wrestle with ethical landmines: Should everyone receive equal care, even if they've made poor life choices or aren't contributing to society? Is our system actually rewarding irresponsibility while punishing those who play by the rules? They reveal how buried formulas in Obamacare already assign value to your life based on age, health, and economic output. Could this lead to a future where only the wealthy and genetically fortunate receive cutting-edge care? And is America's health care system heading toward collapse—or something even more sinister? Find out more at https://rushtoreason.com
In this episode of Nurturing Financial Freedom, we dive into the implications of the newly passed federal tax bill—also known asl the “big, beautiful bill.” While the name might suggest sweeping changes, the truth is more about maintaining the status quo and preventing an expiration of key provisions from the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. We break down what that means for retirees, investors, and anyone planning their financial future. We start with the basics. Alex explains that the bill keeps existing tax brackets intact through 2025. The seven current brackets—ranging from 10% to 37%—remain unchanged and will continue to adjust with inflation. This alone helps prevent tax hikes for most Americans. Next, we look at the standard deduction. It's staying high: $15,750 for individuals and $31,500 for married couples filing jointly in 2025. For seniors aged 65 and older, there's an added bonus—an additional $6,000 per person. That means some retired couples could deduct up to $43,500, significantly lowering their taxable income. However, this senior deduction phases out at incomes over $150,000 and disappears entirely at $250,000.Another highlight is a small but impactful update to tip and overtime tax treatment. Up to $2,500 in tips and $5,000 in overtime income will now be tax-exempt, a win for part-time workers and younger family members in service jobs. We also see an increase in the SALT (state and local tax) deduction cap—from $10,000 to $40,000—which could encourage some high earners in states like New York and California to start itemizing again.Ed takes over to unpack how this affects investments. Capital gains tax rates remain unchanged, with the familiar 0%, 15%, and 20% tiers, adjusted for inflation. The 3.8% net investment income tax—sometimes dubbed the Obamacare surcharge—still applies to higher-income earners. Importantly, the step-up in basis on inherited assets is untouched, preserving one of the most efficient methods of wealth transfer. The bill also maintains the Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) option, allowing those over 70½ to donate up to $100,000 directly from IRAs without increasing taxable income. Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs) still begin at age 73. We round out with a reminder on smart asset location—keeping tax-inefficient investments in tax-deferred accounts and long-term strategies in taxable accounts. While the bill doesn't overhaul the tax code, it preserves favorable conditions for most Americans, especially retirees and investors. Our advice remains: understand how these provisions impact your specific situation and reach out to a financial professional for personalized planning. Marc and Kim unpack the fallout from the Tulsi Gabbard revelations, continuing their frustration over political cowardice when it comes to potential indictments tied to the Obama administration's alleged coup attempt. Marc doubles down: If it happened, someone needs to be held accountable. Then, former Missouri Senator John Lamping joins to break down a quiet but brutal legislative change—Republican-backed bills that allow Ameren to pre-charge customers for future energy infrastructure, including projects they may never benefit from. Gas and electric rates are already spiking 12%, and that's before the new law kicks in. Lamping warns the GOP risks alienating the very working-class voters that now make up its base. With food stamps, Medicaid, and Obamacare subsidies on the chopping block, the message is clear: lawmakers are listening to lobbyists, not constituents.

In this episode of American Potential, host David From welcomes back Jeremiah Mosteller, Policy Director at Americans for Prosperity, for another installment in the “Big Ideas for Smaller Government” series—this time targeting the Internal Revenue Service. Jeremiah breaks down how outdated pandemic-era tax subsidies—expanded under the American Rescue Plan—are still being paid out today, even to higher-income individuals who don't need them. Reverting to the original subsidy rules for the Obamacare marketplace could save taxpayers a staggering $383 billion. The episode also exposes shocking mismanagement inside the IRS, including nearly 3,000 IRS employees who owe back taxes and over $4.7 trillion in untraceable federal spending due to failed accounting practices. Jeremiah explains how simple reforms like the LEDGER Act could bring long-overdue transparency to the Treasury and restore public trust. This is a can't-miss conversation about fiscal responsibility, common sense reforms, and how everyday Americans can play a role in cutting $2 trillion in wasteful government spending.

What do Republicans need to do to outperform expectations in the coming midterm elections? According to new polling obtained exclusively by Playbook, the answer may in part rest in touting their support for a facet of Obamacare. Meanwhile, Democrats see a split among progressives in a major House primary today in Arizona, and the party seems to be sounding somewhat MAGA-fied when it comes to the Jeffrey Epstein files. What's going on? Contributing author Adam Wren and chief Playbook correspondent Dasha Burns unpack it all.

In this week's post #July4 podcast the guys discuss #Trump #BigBeautifulBill or as we have dubbed it the big brazen betrayal. Why? Because it has betrayed the majority of the #Americanpeople it has sacrificed our #Childrensfuture it has destroyed the #deficit and #ruleoflaw and has placed our #seniots in harm's way by destroying #longtermcare with the #MedicaidCuts and destruction of #ObamaCare. But hey, at least #Ice will have a big budget. #Texas is underwater after the #TexasFloods that #DogeCuts exacerbated . Cuts to #NOAA and the #NationalWeatherService weren't responsible for the #ClimateChange related severe weather but they are responsible for a large portion of the #FloodDeaths. #ElonMusk and #Trump are having a renewed lover's spat. #JeffreyEpstein is back in the news . According to #PamBondi there's nothing to see. We know better. It looks like #Diddy beat the case and will serve almost no time given what he was charged with. America , we hardly knew ye. #Hanover #Pennsylvania #PennsylvaniaTurnpike #HanoverPretzels
Demonic: How the Liberal Mob Is Endangering America by Ann Coulter. French Revolution chapter 6 All of Ann Coulter's Books are a must have on every Conservatives' bookshelf. Buy them Today... All of them! The demon is a mob, and the mob is demonic. The Democratic Party activates mobs, depends on mobs, coddles mobs, publicizes and celebrates mobs—it is the mob. Sweeping in its scope and relentless in its argument, Demonic explains the peculiarities of liberals as standard groupthink behavior. To understand mobs is to understand liberals. In her most provocative book to date, Ann Coulter argues that liberals exhibit all the psychological characteristics of a mob, for instance: Liberal Groupthink: “The same mob mentality that leads otherwise law-abiding people to hurl rocks at cops also leads otherwise intelligent people to refuse to believe anything they haven't heard on NPR.” Liberal Schemes: “No matter how mad the plan is—Fraternité, the ‘New Soviet Man,' the Master Race, the Great Leap Forward, the Cultural Revolution, Building a New Society, ObamaCare—a mob will believe it.” Liberal Enemies: “Instead of ‘counterrevolutionaries,' liberals' opponents are called ‘haters,' ‘those who seek to divide us,' ‘tea baggers,' and ‘right-wing hate groups.' Meanwhile, conservatives call liberals ‘liberals'—and that makes them testy.” Liberal Justice: “In the world of the liberal, as in the world of Robespierre, there are no crimes, only criminals.” Liberal Violence: “If Charles Manson's followers hadn't killed Roman Polanski's wife, Sharon Tate, Clinton would have pardoned him, too, and he'd probably be teaching at Northwestern University.” Citing the father of mob psychology, Gustave Le Bon, Coulter catalogs the Left's mob behaviors: the creation of messiahs, the fear of scientific innovation, the mythmaking, the preference for images over words, the lack of morals, and the casual embrace of contradictory ideas. Coulter traces the history of the liberal mob to the French Revolution and Robespierre's revolutionaries (delineating a clear distinction from America's founding fathers), who simply proclaimed that they were exercising the “general will” before slaughtering their fellow citizens “for the good of mankind.” Similarly, as Coulter demonstrates, liberal mobs, from student radicals to white-trash racists to anti-war and pro-ObamaCare fanatics today, have consistently used violence to implement their idea of the “general will.” This is not the American tradition; it is the tradition of Stalin, of Hitler, of the guillotine—and the tradition of the American Left. As the heirs of the French Revolution, Democrats have a history that consists of pandering to mobs, time and again, while Republicans, heirs to the American Revolution, have regularly stood for peaceable order. Hoping to muddy this horrifying truth, liberals slanderously accuse conservatives of their own crimes—assassination plots, conspiracy theorizing, political violence, embrace of the Ku Klux Klan. Coulter shows that the truth is the opposite: Political violence—mob violence—is always a Democratic affair. Surveying two centuries of mob movements, Coulter demonstrates that the mob is always destructive. And yet, she argues, beginning with the civil rights movement in the sixties, Americans have lost their natural, inherited aversion to mobs. Indeed, most Americans have no idea what they are even dealing with. Only by recognizing the mobs and their demonic nature can America begin to defend itself.
Jen Psaki looks back at how Democrats made Republicans pay for their efforts to kill Obamacare by making that a central focus of House races that ultimately flipped the House to Democratic control. Donald Trump's budget bill is so wildly unpopular that Democratic candidates are already preparing to run against the bill and anyone who supported it. Republicans, in the meantime, are busy trying to distract Americans from what they're doing.
Julie Rovner, chief Washington correspondent at KFF Health News and host of the What the Health? podcast, talks about the House and Senate budget bills and what they would mean for Americans' access to healthcare.

Note: This episode was recorded before the passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act of 2025. Today, we discuss poverty, the social detriments of health, and safety net programs in the U.S. with Robert Greenstein, founder and former president of the D.C.-based think tank Center on Budget and Policy Priorities (CBPP). Bob is one of America's leading experts on federal budget, tax policy and safety net programs. Odds are that you or someone you know got more services from the government—health insurance, financial help, food assistance—because of Bob's life work. Over the past 40 years, he has worked tirelessly to address poverty in U.S. and help make healthcare accessible to all. Bob and CBPP played a major role in expanding our nation's nutritional programs like SNAP (a.k.a. food stamps) and WIC (Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children. He and the CBPP helped expand the earned income tax credit (EITC) for low- and moderate-income families. And he and the organization helped get Obamacare passed and continue to defend it and Social Security from all comers. ◘ Transcript bit.ly/3JoA2mz ◘ This podcast features the song “Follow Your Dreams” (freemusicarchive.org/music/Scott_Ho…ur_Dreams_1918) by Scott Holmes, available under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial (01https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/) license. ◘ Disclaimer: The content and information shared in GW Integrative Medicine is for educational purposes only and should not be taken as medical advice. Recently, Congresswoman Julie Fedorchak sent out an email seeking to debunk what she describes as myths when it comes to proposed changes to the Medicaid program. She argues that the program isn't being cut, but rather just being slowed in its growth. But wherever you come down on that debate, the fact that she's prompted to make these arguments is politically significant. On this episode of Plain Talk, my co-host Chad Oban and I talked about that, in the context of one of Fedorchak's predecessors, former Rep. Earl Pomeroy, trying to explain his vote in favor of Obamacare. Oban pointed out that while Fedorchak is disputing the claims that Medicaid is being cut, some Republicans, including Mehmet Oz, the Trump administration's administrator for Medicare and Medicaid services, are calling them cuts. "The problem that she has is it's not just people like me who are saying it's Medicaid cuts," Oban said. "You're like, well, these aren't cuts, but when someone on your own side is referring to them as cuts, you're losing that war," he continued. We also discussed the NDGOP's on-going District 25 debacle, and what the proposed sell-off of federal lands means for Interior Secretary Doug Burgum's political trajectory. Also on this episode, Matt Briney, chief communications officer for the Theodore Roosevelt President Library, talks about the progress on the project. "We're looking forward to welcoming everybody July 4th, 2026 when we will open to the public." Public funding for the project has drawn some criticism, but Briney pointed out that only "about 11% of the project is funded from state funds" and that the library organizqation hasn't had to touch a $70 million line of credit made available by the state. He also detailed some of the features visitors will be able to explore next year. "We're going to take you into the White House. TR's White House. Not the White House that we know today, but TR's White House. So, it's going to have the full kind of look and feel replica of being in there," he said, adding that the library will leverage artificial intelligence technology to make simulated conversations with Roosevelt possible. "You're actually going to be able to talk to TR and TR is going to talk back to you," Briney said. "And that's where we're we're leveraging new technologies from Microsoft...where you can have actual conversations in a group setting with him."
