After a few weeks apart, Mike and Doug catch up on everything that's been stirring—internally and out in the world.Mike returns from Portugal, where he wandered the streets of Lisbon, finding a party around every corner, and accidentally discovered he may be a bit of a unicorn. He shares what it's like to travel alone for the first time, dance with couples across cultures, and say yes to a spontaneous 2:30 a.m. tattoo.Doug returns from a California music festival, where he camped, candyflipped, and had a surprise run-in with a childhood hero. They talk about the contrast between drinking and psychedelics, how their relationship to substances is changing, and what it means to show up fully—on and off the dance floor. The conversation touches on:Letting go of needing to “know who you are” and just following what feels aliveThe various graphs and axes of bisexualityWhat it means to be a social (and maybe sexual) lubricantThe ache and joy of being open in midlifeCreating a new word—pleasance—for the kind of presence that invites others inSend your email to join the MoM Underground: Co-create with a community of artists and stay informed of online and local events, including gatherings, concerts, live podcast recordings, meditations, etc.Support Mormons on Mushrooms:Become a PatreonSend a Contribution

Titres interprétés au grand studio- Down On My Knees, Live RFI- The Spin, extrait de l'album- Love Child Live RFI.
In the coastal city of Porto, Portugal, a unique spiritual community is making waves, literally. The Surf Church, led by Brazilian-born pastor and avid surfer Samuel Cianelli dos Anjos, blends traditional Sunday worship with the sport of surfing. In a country with deep historical and cultural ties to the Catholic Church, Portugal has seen a steady decline in the number of young people engaging with their faith. Many feel disconnected from the Church and believe it no longer speaks to them in a way they understand. In response to this, the Surf Church movement was born. Every Sunday, young people gather on the beach to surf together before walking to a nearby church to worship. Their motto: “We love waves, and we love Jesus”. Reporter Colm Flynn travels to Porto to discover more about this innovative approach.

In this episode of Money Tales, our guest is Sophie Bertin. You know that feeling when everything looks good on paper, a great job, supportive colleagues, a solid paycheck, but something inside keeps whispering, this isn't it! That was Sophie. She had a comfortable life, but comfort wasn't enough. It took a spark - an unexpected stat about entrepreneurs from a business school dean when Sophie was at a less-than-satisfying moment in her career - for her to realize: “Why am I in the 50% who haven't taken the leap?” That catalyzed her turning point. Sophie Bertin has a varied career path, from strategic consultancy, to banking operations, to the European Commission and now turned entrepreneur. She recently founded Serapy with the aim of improving corporate compliance training through the combination of simulations, gamification, role play and online tools. Serapy uses the latest educational theories to provide trainings with increased retention rate, and combines that with AI tools to enhance the learning process. Serapy is currently present in Switzerland, Bulgaria, Portugal, France and the UAE. Serapy has been accepted in the incubation program of the Unicorn Factory Lisbon and of Station F in Paris. In addition to Serapy, Sophie has her own consultancy (Parnima Consulting) since 2016, where she works with top legal and regulatory firms, consultancy firms and financial clients on EU Regulations in the area of Financial Services, Foreign Subsidies and State Aid. She also serves as independent board member of Eastnets, a leading provider of AML, SWIFT and payments solutions. She sits on the Remuneration, Nomination and Governance Committee. Before becoming entrepreneur, Sophie was Group Head of Corporate Development and Managing Director of SIX Group (in Switzerland), in charge of strategy development, innovation and regulatory affairs. During the Financial Crisis, she served as Head of Unit at the Directorate General for Competition within the European Commission. There, she was responsible for the review and approval of the State aid provided by Member States to the financial services (mostly banks) during the financial crisis of 2008-2014. Prior to her role with the European Commission, Sophie held senior positions within SWIFT, where she was globally in charge of Asset Servicing; with The Bank of New York Mellon; and worked with the top consultancies McKinsey and later Bain &Co. She started her career path as IT and database programmer, which is very helpful now with the latest AI tools she uses in her start-up. She started her studies in Vienna, graduated from the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris, holds an MBA from INSEAD and a post-graduate diploma in EU Competition Law from King's College. She holds also a diploma from the Swiss Board Institute. She is member of the Executive Committee of the INSEAD Alumni organization, and she is also the founder and president of the global INSEAD Women in Business Club. Recently, she finished an advanced AI Mastery class and won the award for the best AI Application Builder. She is promoting and advocating for AI literacy among women and through the INSEAD Women in Business Club organizes events for Women in AI.

Billionaire iron magnate Andrew Forrest believes he's on the cusp of a breakthrough to decarbonise shipping and heavy industry using hydrogen. As the Executive Chairman of the Fortescue, one of the world's largest iron ore companies, Andrew Forrest is not an easy to pigeonhole industrial billionaire. He built Fortescue into a hugely successful company, partly thanks to his belief in taking unconventional paths. After a serious accident meant he had to take a break from work, he enrolled in a PhD in marine science. For over a decade now, has been very vocally committed to getting his company's practices aligned with a climate-safe pathway. More recently, he's also been shaking fellow CEOs and leaders out of climate complacency by highlighting the risks of lethal humidity. This week on Cleaning Up, Bryony Worthington asks Andrew about the current climate crusade he's on, what he makes of the recent policy decisions taken by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) to agree carbon penalties for highly emitting ships, and if hydrogen can compete with renewables to be the power source of the future. Welcome in for another edition of the Morning Espresso, presented by our friends at Oglethorpe University, Atlanta's premier undergraduate learning experience and soccer powerhouse. Second to last European final of the season on tap tomorrow as Real Betis faces Chelsea. Isco, who earned a call-up to the Spanish national team for the UEFA Nations League, is one of the key players to watch along with Antony. The winger on loan from Manchester United has been outstanding with 7 goal contributions in 8 Conference League matches since arriving in January. Manuel Pellegrini is coaching in his first European final in his illustrious career, Betis are playing in their first European final as well. Keep in mind, English clubs have lost their last nine European finals against Spanish opposition going back to Liverpool's 2001 UEFA Cup win over Alavés. Lots of potential injury issues for Betis, we'll get you updates hopefully tomorrow ahead of the match on a special Wednesday Morning Espresso. International break next week as World Cup qualifiers take center stage. Lots of eyes will be on Brazil playing their first matches under Carlo Ancelotti's leadership. He left Neymar out due to injury but did recall Casemiro. UEFA Nations League finals will also take place with Spain facing France in one semifinal and Portugal facing Germany in the other. Will that semifinal performance from Cristiano Ronaldo potentially earn him a move to play for a club in the Club World Cup? It might be possible after his social media posts yesterday, seemingly saying goodbye to Al Nassr after their season ended without major success. He's out of contract at the end of June and there's been whispers of interest from Brazilian clubs and Monterrey in bringing him in for the Club World Cup. It's going to grab all the tabloid headlines for sure. Real Madrid and Xabi Alonso are trying to get Trent Alexander-Arnold in for the Club World Cup, but Liverpool want a substantial sum to let him out of his contract a month early. Reports out of Spanish TV indicate that the asking price could be as high as $5M. Al Hilal are trying desperately to get Simone Inzaghi as their new manager, offering to make him the highest paid manager in the world. He has one more match with Inter this season, the Champions League final on Saturday. He wasn't absolutely committed to continuing with the Italian club afterwards, saying that "certain conditions" needed to be met first. Another subplot to watch ahead of the Club World Cup. In Italy as Napoli continues to celebrate their Serie A title, they might be adding a key piece for next season while saying goodbye to someone else. Kevin de Bruyne is reportedly close to joining Napoli on a free from Manchester City. But he'll have a new manager to work for, as it looks like Antonio Conte is set to leave the club and Max Allegri is the leading name mentioned as his successor. Even in successful times, it's never quiet in Naples. For more news today and conversation, check out the video edition on YouTube or the audio on Spreaker. See y'all tomorrow for another edition of the Morning Espresso. Listen to Atlanta Soccer Tonight this evening on 92.9 The Game & the Audacy app starting at 10pm.

Don’t be fooled, the fight for the lives of the pre-born doesn’t stop just because the political climate in Washington D.C. changes. On In The Market with Janet Parshall, a regular guest on the program addressed the ongoing battle against the abortion pill that has gone from being an outlier to one of the most widely used means of taking the life of the unborn. He warned us of the inherent danger of this option and why it may be time for this drug to have more government regulation over its distribution and use. Then we took a hard look at the recent massive power outages in Spain and Portugal where millions were without power after a celebration just weeks before in Spain where they touted 100 percent energy from renewable sources. Our climate expert addressed whether this is a neon warning sign to the United States about our own futures if we turn to complete dependance on alternative energy sources and whether or not this is the first major sign of what he calls “the green breakdown”. Is it possible that the anxiety and depression that many believers struggle with is less physical and more spiritually rooted in how our personal relationship with God operates? Our guest explained what an “insecure attachment to God” looks like and how it can have a dramatic impact on our mental wellbeing. She also explained how repairing that connection opens the door for God to share His healing story through our lives as a platform to lift up and encourage others who struggle with their own attachment relationship with Him. We boarded another radio flight to the land down under for more enlightening conversations with our favorite Scottish apologist. He addressed the effort to redefine womanhood in Scotland and whether or not believers should support corporations that support abortion among other thought-provoking topics. We gave you the opportunity to hear from a respected attorney who detailed a recent religious liberty victory out the Chicago Public School system and what the larger scale ramifications of this win means for religious liberty across the country going forward. We also spoke to that man who has turned statistics into powerful tools for ministry as he laid out the findings of this year’s American Worldview Inventory and explained why we are seeing significant faith shifts across the nation. Once again, we invite you to join us for another important discussion of the news of the week through the lens of God’s unchanging truth.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Tommy and Ben discuss President Trump's policy changes on Syria and his man-crush on its president, Ahmed al-Sharaa, what lifting sanctions on Syria could (and should) look like, more details on how Qatar's plane bribe came together, and Tulsi Gabbard's shocking politicization of the intelligence community. They also talk about the continuing crackdown on journalists and human rights activists by Nayib Bukele in El Salvador, the dire–and indefensible–humanitarian situation in Gaza, the lack of any meaningful progress in peace talks between Russia and Ukraine, and elections in Portugal, Romania and Poland. Then, Ben speaks with Dr. Feroze Sidwha, a trauma surgeon who has volunteered twice in Gaza, about his experience treating patients in Khan Younis. Finally, Ben and Tommy are forced to endure some selections from this year's Eurovision Song Contest.
