Will Wesley and Florian Fox Live At Luckenbach.Take a walk with me down Fascination Street, as I traveled 30 minutes from my house to Luckenbach, Texas to see previous guest of the show Will Wesley perform with his buddy Florian Fox. When Will was on the show last time, he mentioned that he & Florian would be playing Luckenbach a few months from then. So, true to his word, Will reached out to me as the date got nearer, and once again invited me to come see the show, and record another episode. This time, he introduced me to his good friend and tour mate, Florian Fox. Florian is a country singer all the way from Zurich, Switzerland! When Florian is in the U.S., he and Will tour together. When Will is in Switzerland, he and Florian tour together. What a great partnership! So my wife and I went to see them play together at The Thomas Michael Riley Music Festival, live at Luckenbach, Texas! My wife and I had never been there before, and this was one hell of a reason to go. In this episode, we get to know Florian, and how he was introduced to, and fell in love with country music. The two of them share the story of how they met, and why they instantly took a liking to each other. They share some tour stories, they explain why their different musical styles work well together, and they talk about some of the similarities in their music. Naturally, they wrote a song together, and they both graciously agree to let me play it! Both of these great country artists play across America, as well as across Switzerland and Europe. If you ever have the chance to see either, or both of them, DO IT! These gentlemen are a ton of fun to talk to and listen to! ******This episode was recorded LIVE at an outdoor music festival during a torrential rainstorm. I cleaned up the audio as good as I could, I hope you enjoy the episode!*****

Climactic is an early-stage venture fund investing in the energy, AI, automation, and robotics sectors to address climate change and its effects. It is backed by folks like Chris Sacca, Reid Hoffman, Mio Partners, and StepStone.Prior to Climactic, Josh co-founded Freestyle Capital, where he sourced or invested in the unicorns: Airtable, Patreon, Betterup, and Intercom. He was a pioneer in the early days of the Internet where he co-founded Spinner, the first Internet music startup, acquired by AOL for $320M, and Crackle, a viral video startup, acquired by Sony for $65M. Josh's commitment to the environment is long-standing; he started a nonprofit app in 2014 to connect influencers (NBA, Guns N Roses, Mark Ruffalo, Al Gore, Evan Williams) to the most important climate actions from the leading nonprofits. --Here are six topics we covered in the podcast:Origins with Rock Stars and PresidentsJosh Felser co-founded ClimateX, connecting users to 100+ environmental nonprofits with partners like Al Gore, Guns N' Roses, and the NBA.Why He Left Traditional VCAfter success at Freestyle Capital, COVID and a five-month role in California's government led Josh to shift from consumer tech to climate venture, realizing business's role in systemic change.Climactic's EvolutionJosh and Raj Kapoor launched Climactic as a B2B climate tech fund, later narrowing their focus to AI and automation for enterprise sustainability and profitability. Two Portfolio BetsClimactic invested in Grit (robotics for faster, cheaper solar installs) and Copper (battery-integrated induction stoves for apartment electrification).Climate Messaging in the MAGA EraJosh advocates re-framing climate language—e.g., using “conservation” over “environmentalism”—to resonate with conservative audiences without losing authenticity.Personal WellnessJosh finds balance through humor, avoiding the 5 AM club, emotional resilience, and grounding reminders like a Buddha statue at his Stinson Beach home.--
Tracii Guns joins Loudwire Nights to celebrate L.A. Guns' new album, reflect on his massive career and dive into his love for all things Black Sabbath.
Ep. 122 Guns N Roses - Appetite For Destruction - Review & Reaction! When Appetite for Destruction dropped in 1987, it didn't exactly fly off the shelves...... At first. Released on July 21, 1987, "Appetite" didn't enter the top 50 on the Billboard album charts until Jan 16, 1988. Shortly after this, it exploded like a Molotov cocktail into a music scene that had grown too comfortable with glam metal's glossy sheen. Guns N' Roses—raw, dangerous, and oozing attitude—brought back the grit and grime of rock ‘n' roll. This debut wasn't just an album; it was a statement. With Axl Rose's snarling vocals, Slash's bluesy, melodic solos, and a rhythm section that swung like a wrecking ball, Appetite redefined hard rock for a generation. Appetite for Destruction went on to become the best-selling debut album of all time in the U.S. It influenced countless bands in the late '80s and '90s, from grunge (which appreciated GNR's authenticity over glam's gloss) to hard rock and even punk revival scenes. The band's mix of punk energy, bluesy riffing, and metal aggression helped bridge the gap between classic rock and modern hard rock, keeping the genre alive during a time when synth-pop and polished hair metal were dominating.
Tracii Guns discussed his musical journey, including his time in LA Guns, Guns N' Roses, and various collaborations. Guns emphasized the importance of music in his life and his preference for older music. He praised tribute bands and shared insights on songwriting, noting the impact of his song "Let You Down" during the pandemic. Guns also reflected on his relationships, including his time with Axl Rose and the challenges of managing a band. He advised emerging artists to protect their vision and maintain open-mindedness. Guns also reflects on his experiences with anxiety, addiction, and the evolving music industry, stressing the importance of song structure and the impact of his work with various bands. He mentions Izzy Stradlin's reclusive nature and brilliant songwriting, noting Izzy's reluctance to seek unwanted attention. Tracii also talks about his upcoming album release, its availability in physical formats, and the unique cover art created through AI and hand painting.0:00:00 - Intro0:00:20 - Playing with Gilby Clarke0:02:18 - Old & New Music & Tribute Bands 0:06:30 - Embracing Your Influences 0:07:29 - New L.A. Drew Cagle & The Reputation is a high energy, no apologies, national touring rock bandfrom Central Illinois. The band got its name “The Reputation” after Cagle decided to lean intothe considerable ridicule he received in the beginning while attempting to perform his originalmusic in a market primarily dominated by cover bands. Driven by his passion for authenticoriginal expression, Cagle set his sights on the surrounding major cities in the Midwest andacross the US determined to show the world that greatest rock songs haven't already beenwritten...After 3 years, Drew Cagle & The Reputation return with a vengeance with the release of theirsecond full length album, Bad Attitude. An eight-song collection of boisterous rock ‘n' roll, Bad Attitude combines passionate modern songwriting with the bold sound and swagger of the hard rock superstars from the ‘80s. In an album ironically named after a band Cagle's father performedwith in the early '90s, DC&R manages to encapsulate the classic “chip on your shoulder”aggression and natural danger that rock 'n' roll has been missing in recent years.DC&R's first single, “All Figured Out,” takes dead aim at naysayers who doubted Cagle's artisticvision. This song calls out the hypocrisy rooted in premature judgements of others in an epic rock 'n' rollfashion. “All Figured Out” clings to the feeling of being counted out and, with a rebellious spirit, aims to inspire the listener to prove their own opposition wrong. The album's title track features a guest appearance from legendary '80s guitarist and originalmember of Guns N Roses and LA Guns: Tracii Guns. The guitarist joined the record after a run ofshows DC&R did with LA Guns in February 2024.
