The land on which Devil's Lake State Park sits on displays some of the oldest illustrations of human occupation in all of North America. The landscape still bares the work of hands of over a thousand years ago, and the legends and rich mythology of the Native Americans have lasted the test of time. Is it posssible that some of what modern civilization has attributed to native mythology is actually very real, and affecting our world today? Scott and Mickey discuss these legends of Devil's Lake, and stories passed down through centuries, along with some of the more recent sightings, hauntings, and bizarre ocurrances that have happened in the area over the decades, culminating in a poignant discussion about the tangible world that was left us from those who came before, and how too much of it has been misused. The opening banter updates a few stories we've been following, including the case of missing 3-year-old Elijah Vue and the anniversary of the murder of Father Kunz. Grizzly On The Hunt - Bigfoot, Sasquatch, Cryptids, Paranormal, Aliens, UFO's and More!
https://paranormalhub.com/grizzly-hunt Kentucky Goblins and More! Yes! Strange things can captivate our imagination and pique our curiosity. From the mysteries of the universe to bizarre occurrences on Earth, the realm of the strange is vast and varied. One such example is the enigmatic phenomenon of ball lightning, glowing orbs of electrical energy that appear during thunderstorms, defying scientific explanation. These elusive spheres, which sometimes pass through walls and leave a lingering smell of sulfur, continue to perplex researchers. Another oddity lies in the depths of the ocean, where peculiar creatures reside. Take, for instance, the deep-sea anglerfish, a creature with a luminescent appendage protruding from its head, used to attract prey in the pitch-black abyss. These peculiar adaptations remind us of the immense diversity that exists in the natural world. In the realm of human experience, strange occurrences also make their presence known. People have reported encountering time slips, where they seemingly step into another era, only to return to the present with no logical explanation. Such accounts blur the line between reality and the unknown, leaving us questioning the fabric of our existence. Furthermore, the concept of synchronicity, popularized by Swiss psychologist Carl Jung, suggests that meaningful coincidences occur beyond mere chance. These synchronicities link events or experiences in a way that defies conventional explanation, leading some to wonder if there are hidden forces at play in the universe. Ultimately, the strange and unusual serve as reminders that our world is far from completely understood. They encourage us to embrace the mysteries that surround us, inviting us to explore the limits of our knowledge and challenge the boundaries of what we consider to be normal. @BigfootSightings @SasquatchHunter @CryptozoologyEnthusiast @WildmanSearch @ElusiveCreature@Yetilnvestigation @ForestExplorer @grizzlychris @BigfootResearcher @MythicalBeastHunter @CryptidEnthusiast @BigfootLegend@HiddeninNature @Bigfoot Witness @SasquatchLore @CryptozoologyCommunity @MysteriousCreatures @Paranormalinvestigator @BigfootEnigma @CryptozoologyResearch @WildernessExplorer @BigfootEncounters @SasquatchHunter @CryptozoologyQuest @BigfootStories @SearchforSasquatch #LegendaryMonster #grizzlyonthehunt #grizzlychris #CryptozoologyInvestigation #SasquatchSightings #BigfootResearch #CryptozoologyCommunity #WildernessExploration #BigfootEnthusiasts #BigfootEvidence #SasquatchHunters #UnexplainedPhenomena #MysteriousCreatures #Paranormalinvestigation #HiddeninNature #SasquatchHunter #LegendaryCreatures #BigfootLegend #CryptozoologyEnthusiasts #BigfootEncounters #CryptozoologyResearch #SasquatchCommunity #SearchforBigfoot --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/grizzly-onthehunt/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/grizzly-onthehunt/support

I kick off this week's episode by putting a nice little cherry on the topic we've been carrying over, from week to week. It's a community story of one Magic player giving his wife a special present to remind her that MtG and Commander are very important in their relationship. Even if she doesn't play. Then, I go deep on vehicle commanders and what it means to have multiple decks that employ the same strategy. There's a ton of tribal in magic, and always room for more, but are there any creature types that actively make the game worse? Nick and Zak have some hot takes and in this episode, they talk about the creature types that they think have been bad for the game overall. Some creature types got screwed over by old Wizards policies, and some got the Star Trek alien treatment. Some creature types are just two things mashed together in a worse way! So dive in and let us know what you agree with, disagree with, and if there are any creatures that you love even though they might not help the game too much (spoilers, Zak likes certain legendary hippos). Every Vorthos has a favourite character from the MTG Story that they feel has gotten a raw deal on their physical creature card. Whether the design feels underpowered or outdated, or maybe the character as you see them is given stats that make no sense, there is always hope for a second or third printing. The guys talk about some of their flavour wishes and the characters they hope to see get a redesign. This week Kim is covering a variety of Australian Mythological CreaturesSome believe that these creatures are real, and many have been substantiated by stories, tales, photos and even videos. Many are from the dream time of Australia's Indigenous People. Some are even said to have been here before the Aboriginal People of Australia.there are some interesting tales of these two groups fighting each other. Some of these mythical creatures sound scary and there are very graphic representations of their physical appearances.I learnt a lot from this episode, so sit back and have a listen and embrace yourself in the local culture. In our very first episode, we take a look at the books that inspired us in our worldbuilding and writing. We thought it would be a piece of cake to name all the books that helped us create our own fantasy worlds, but it turned out to be quite difficult. The result: Apparently Genny is super into Greek mythology and Katrina is obsessed with Irish folklore. If you get nothing else from this episode, hopefully you're inspired to broaden your horizons and realize that when it comes to fantasy, there are no books you SHOULD read. It is a genre of absolute freedom, and with that said, the only thing we recommend is to go out there and find what it is that gets your creative juices flowing. If you'd like a little guidance on where to start looking for world-building inspiration, here's our list plus a few extras!Introduction to Mythology: Contemporary Approaches to Classical and World Myths by Eva M. On this episode, I welcome Chris, Your Commander Mechanic, to the show to talk about Technical Deckbuilding as well as some of our thoughts on the cards of Kaldheim and the set's potential future legacies. In the first segment, we go over Building vs. Brewing and the differences in how to go about optimizing a deck or brewing a deck with an interesting and unique concept. We use some of our personal deck builds as examples on how the two concepts can be very different or can share many of the same pillars depending on the end goal of the deck builder. Additionally, we use Shivam Bhatt's conversation on Twitter regarding what makes a deck "fair" vs. "unfair" as a benchmark for the conversation. The second topic on Kaldheim goes over the controversy surrounding some of the Legendary Creatures in the set and how that has affected our format. We again use Shivam's conversation starter to discuss how stereotypes of Tergrid and Orvar, for instance, can be harmful no matter how the deck is built and how it is important to have a conversation prior to playing to determine expectations. We then discuss the return of snow lands as well as the set's potential legacy given Legendary MDFCs and the set's new Boast and Foretell mechanics. You can find the Commander Mechanic on YouTube here and on Twitter at @CmdrMechanic. You can find more MTG in Quarantine content on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Google Casts. Legendary is one of the most unique card types in any game, let alone Magic. Weird, once you consider the fact that there are no legendary creatures in Alpha, Beta, or Arabian Nights. Even when they came into existence, they were overcosted and underpowered. We've come a long way since then. From Legends to Eldraine, Coleman and Jason take a brief look at some of the most important legendary creatures throughout Magic history!

England is said to be an ancient land between realms and this could explain the many mystical characters in its illustrious history. Today we explore the myths, the urban legends, and an occasional ghost story of England's history. John Matthews joined Mysterious Matters to discuss a Terrifying Victorian legend known as Spring-Heeled Jack. Spring-Heeled Jack was a tall, thin, bounding figure with bat-like wings (Many wonder if Bob Kane had known about this legendary figure prior to creating Batman), clawed hands, wheels of fire for eyes and breathed blue flames. He first leapt into public attention during the Victorian era of London England; springing over hedges and walls, from dark lanes and dark graveyards to frighten and sometimes physically attack people (curiously Spring-Heeled Jack mostly attacked women). Also, brought up in discussion: ► Is there any truth to England being a land between realms (our realm and another) ► What is the legend of Spring-Heeled Jack ► What was Spring-Heeled Jack; Man, Demon or something else ►Is there physical evidence of such a person or being existed ► With Spring-heeled jack sporting knife like claws, could there be a connection between spring heeled-jack and jack the ripper? ► Were beings like Spring-heeled Jack, and the Krampus something along the lines of a Tulpa ► Has there been other reports of spring-heeled jack type beings around the world ►Spring-Heeled Jack's popularity in the Steampunk Community ►Robin of Sherwood Forrest ► King Arthur ► Herne the Hunter (gathers souls of the departed) Plus more!
